Hi folks. Went to first weigh in last night and had lost 4lbs.
Quite motivated in a way. Had a fruit breakfast so can have a few points later in the day.
Am struggling with fitness. Easy exercises for lazy girls? Any help? Blush
Still getting negative vibes from family. They want me to stay a frumpy hausfrau I reckon.

AutumnFalls · 01/11/2011 14:45

Thanks herding. :)

I am not a fan of 'exercise' Crossword. I have back problems and find it hard to do things. I like walking and cycling though, so do that alot. I long ago decided that going to the gym would depress me, so I try and do half an hour of what I like a day. Sometimes that is just gardening.

Well done on the 4 pounds!.

CrosswordAddict · 01/11/2011 17:18

Thanks Autumnfalls. Yes, I like walking too. I Do a few walks around the village every day. Can't cycle again after an accident which broke my nerve. Too scared and too out of practice now. Safer on two legs I reckon! Blush

Littlefish · 01/11/2011 18:35

Autumnfalls - my figure is a little too hourglassy at the moment but still nice and curvy. I go a long way out and quite a long way back in again!
Luckily, having 32/34 JJ norks tends to distract anyone from noticing my rather-too-large bottom Grin

CrosswordAddict · 02/11/2011 09:12

Littlefish I am very impressed by your JJ norks. Have always been big breasted myself but am down to 42E at the moment. I am going to get one of those Minimiser bras from Marks when I have lost a bit more weight. Reason is if I get something to fit the bust then it's way too wide on the shoulders and the sleeves are dangling on me.
If I was starting out now as a teenager I would have breast reduction and orthodontics but it's too late for me now.
Crap teeth and big knockers are not a good look! Blush

Littlefish · 02/11/2011 14:43

Crossword - are you sure of your size? I've never found M&S measurements to be very accurate. Have you tried Bravissimo? I can't recommend them highly enough. I've found that a well-fitting bra has made my clothes sit completely differently.

herdingcats · 03/11/2011 12:14

Littlefish ,you are lucky we don't have a Brvissimo where I live ,and online is just not the same.
BTW at WI last night I gained ! 6.5lb . I am not worried though, as I've been in hospital and then on holiday so my weight and tracking have been erratic to say the least . Back in my routine now so ev erything will settle. My leader was laughing ,as she said she had never seen someone so relaxed when being told they had gained so much Grin

Cluckingmad · 03/11/2011 14:17

Yay 2lbs off this week, feeling motivated now so I am setting myself my first goal of being 11 st or under by xmas, thats 9.5 lbs to lose.

Also my mother in law came with me to my meeting last night so now I have a diet buddy Smile.

CrosswordAddict · 03/11/2011 14:29

Cluckingmad So pleased for you! Grin
Yes, you need a diet buddy I agree. All my pals are too thin or too mean to join WW.
I need a walking/exercising buddy too. Look daft walking round and round on my own somehow. Off to tramp round the lanes again now!

benbon · 03/11/2011 16:12

lost 2.5lbs this week!! very happy!!!

crumbletastic · 03/11/2011 20:24

Sorry ladies, I haven't abandoned you since I got to goal but I have been enjoying myself with my family as my husband has had 2 weeks off work. Unfortunately this hasn't helped maintanance much as we are each others worse enemies for dieting and a few takeaways have been eaten. My scales are showing 5lb gain but I will see what ww scales say on sat.

I can't find it now but somebody asked me to post before and after pics, I will very soon. I have lots of fat pics but haven't really any of my new size yet.

I agree with herding about still seeing myself as a fat bird. I automatically reach for laregr sizes when going shopping and am still really suprised when I try them on and they are huge on me. Everybody says my legs and arms are super skinny but I still see a quite round shape when I look in the mirror Confused, this is going to take a lot of getting used to. My new goal is to not avoid cameras anymore so I can see pictures of myself and try to appreciate my new shape and hard work.

FIFIBEBE · 05/11/2011 23:30

Have just joined WW online, have previously lost huge amount low carbing, but the little cheats have meant a 1 stone gain. Figured I would try something that allowed some sugar and see how I go. Fairly confident about it working and some of the stories here are great, but propoints seems kind of complicated. Can anybody reassure me that it all just clicks at some point? Have spent an hour or so looking at the site, maybe I just need to spend more time there.

AutumnFalls · 08/11/2011 09:01

I also agree about seeing myself as a 'fat bird'. At my heaviest I was 13 stone, and after a long protracted illness went down to 8 stone 4.To me I looked the same in the mirror. People were really worried about me and I honestly could not see what the problem was. Then one day i was ambling around a clothes store, just day dreaming and I saw the legs of this girl coming towards me and I thought 'bloody hell, she needs to eat!' and came bang smack up to a mirror and it was me. Because my brain did not immediately recognise it was me (I could just see the legs the way the clothes rack and the mirror was situated) I saw properly what I looked like. Very skinny. Very odd, and it really brought home to me about body dysmorphia - is that what it is called?

HattiFattner · 08/11/2011 12:19

half a pound off this week.... Grin Wish it was more, but after bonfire night, I did not deserve even that half pound!! Its the Wine, I tell you, Its the Wine!

AutumnFalls · 08/11/2011 18:45

WIn today. 1 pound off, which I am quite pleased with... anything downis good!

My aims for this week;

  1. Track
  2. Stick to 29
  3. Don't use all my weeklies
  4. Get at least some activity points. (cold, dark, raining..... walking??!)
  5. Have faith in the system. :)
Cluckingmad · 10/11/2011 10:16

Yay another 1.5 lbs off! I LOVE pro points Smile

HattiFattner · 10/11/2011 13:10

well done AUtumnfalls and cluckingmad. I fear I will not be doing anything this week as last night I threw caution to the wind and had: 2 slices of cheese on toast, 2 glasses of wine, a packet of hulahoops.....on top of my dinner.

I also presided over a Beaver Scouts "Ready Steady Cook!" evening, which was more sugary stuff than you could shake a stick at - and I was judge. I pointed yesterday at 55 points total, being conservative about the taste test and allocating 10pp alone for that...6 tastes, all around 1.5 each I reckon!

Sigh.

Today Im more virtuous. Can I undo the damage between now and Monday WI ....? Queue dramatic eastenders type DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN music. Tune in next week to find out.

herdingcats · 10/11/2011 13:50

Well done Autumn and Clucking Smile
Hatti I manged to lose 1lb this week and doubted I would as I went mad on Sunday with a roast lunch out (never as healthy as at home ), so you could still do ok.
Keep on tracking everyone

Littlefish · 10/11/2011 20:22

Just a quick update from me. I put on a pound last week. Grrrrrrr

I was away in London this weekend, shopping with a friend, but still managed to lose 2lbs this week. Hooooooooooooray!!!!

benbon · 10/11/2011 20:52

2.5lbs off for me this week! really pleased as starting to get to where i want to be! been such a long road though!

Catonkey · 11/11/2011 09:22

Can I join in please? :)

Joined WW online nearly 2 weeks ago with a first goal of 1st by Christmas, 5st to lose in total Blush - 1st week 4lb loss, yippee. Made the stupid error of weighing myself midweek (Wednesday) and lost another 2lb...but weighed this morning and that has changed to 1lb!

Officail WI is tomorrow a.m. so trying to keep off the scales and not worry about it until then, I am a scales addict.

HattiFattner · 11/11/2011 13:47

catonkey, welcome, we have similar amount to lose, and well done for your first 4lb lost....! Give it a good try, even if you Stay The Same (STS) one week.

mrskbpw · 11/11/2011 15:17

Hello all

I am a lapsed WWer. I lost 3st last year after having my baby, then my going back to work coincided with the introduction of PPs and I lost my way. I've gained back half what I lost, am very ashamed of myself and rejoined yesterday. I feel like I've come home and I'm hoping to a lose a stone by Christmas.

I haven't read the whole thread, but some of it is very inspiring.

Littlefish · 11/11/2011 17:40

Catonkey - don't be embarrased about having 5 stone to lose. Just stick with it! I started 13 months ago and have lost just over 4 and a half stone. I've got about 2.5 - 3 stone to go. You are in very good company here. Grin

Welcome mrskbpw

CrosswordAddict · 11/11/2011 18:22

Joined Weight watchers on 24th October. Lost 4lbs the first week and only 1lb the second week.
Am swimming twice a week and walking every day. Feel thinner already. Smile
