New thread for us WW devotees.

Blondes is head honcho but is busy showing off her tan.

Me - I am the resident statistician - weekly updates for thread losses.

So jump on in and post away - we are having a summer challenge to keep us on track.

OP posts:
TartyMcFarty · 25/10/2011 13:27

Well done Hatti! I've just had my 1st weigh-in and lost 3.5lbs, and I used all my weekly PPs! Grin

HattiFattner · 25/10/2011 18:22

blondes, dont give up. Draw a line under today, and start again tomorrow.

I just had wagamammas - noodles and shared choc. fudge cake dessert - with my DD. Im sure thats about 40 pp. I did, however, walk for 3 hours around the shops with a teenager, so Im reclaiming some of that!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/10/2011 19:37

seriously i just cant :(

the d diet does not work for me :(

changeforthebetter · 26/10/2011 12:22

Sorry not to be able to read whole thread. Congrats to Littlefish what a great achievement.

No change this week but I know why. My PC broke so I just ate anything Hmm for three days. Plus, I suppose I am at that plateau-y sort of stage 9 weeks in. I just keep reminding myself I have lost 9 pounds and I have more energy.

The nights drawing in don't help and I always want to reward myself with food if something has gone badly, really well, so-so, was cancelled....................... Need to plan strategies because if I end up in the coffee bar at uni it all goes to pot!!!

mistlethrush · 26/10/2011 14:23

I've gained for the 3rd week krunning Angry. And that was after a plateau. So I'm very GRRRRRRR. But will restart writing everything down religiously again. And giving up wheat totally.

Lovesbaking · 26/10/2011 16:34

Today I am celebrating a year of achieving my goal weight. I have managed to maintain it most of the time. I had a five week holiday in Brazil and put on a little there, but as soon as I came back I managed to get back on track. WW was great and I couldn't have done it without going to meeting. I started at 13st and my goal was 10st6lbs. I feel happier and prettier. Since losing the weight I like dressing in nice clothes and wearing make up. For a while I felt horrible and really didn't make an effort. I guess I love myself more now. Good luck to all of you.

Littlefish · 26/10/2011 17:17

Lovesbaking - thank you so much for posting. Hearing success stories is so important for us all. It's great to hear that you've kept your weight off for a whole year. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Mistlethrush - you're doing the right thing by resolving to write everything down. It's just too easy to "forget" all the little tastes and bites (and not so little ones!) if you don't write it down. Good luck next week.

Changeforthebetter - Well done on your 9lb loss so far. How about motivating yourself by weighing out 9lbs in potatoes or something like that! Try lifting that bag and you'll see how brilliantly you've done so far. Get back to tracking as soon as you can!

HattiFatner - great news about your 10%. Have people started noticing? I seem to remember that you've got about the same amount to lose as me, and I think that people started noticing on me once I'd lost about 2 stone. It's a fantastic motivator when people tell you how great you're looking Grin

Blondes - PP worked for you once, and it will work for you again if you want it to. However, you might just want to have a change and try something new, or just focus on looking after yourself emotionally at the moment. We will be here for you, whether you are doing WW or not. If you decide to stop WW, then please remember to drop in here from time to time to let us know that you are ok. xxxx

Benbon I am in awe of you! 5 stone since February is absolutely brilliant! Photos please!!!!!!!

Tarty - really glad things have worked for you this week. Tracking really is so important!

I'm off to visit a class in half an hour. I really don't feel very positive as I've gone completely off the rails this week. I coudnt; get to a class last week, and it made me become very lax about weighing, measuring and tracking. So, I'm going to be brave and go and weigh in so I can draw and line under this little crap phase, and start again!

I'll be back later to report in....

mistlethrush · 26/10/2011 17:53

Littlefish - can we both try to encourage one another to lose the best part of a stone by Christmas? If its half a stone fine. Thats just under a 1lb a week, and a stone is 2lb.

HattiFattner · 26/10/2011 17:55

nope, no-one notices, :( I am still in the same dress size too, albeit a little looser. But I feel great and I can see the difference on the scale and on my measuring tape. 9cm on my belly, 7 on my hips, 5 on boobs and thighs.

I feel so motivated after reaching my 10%.

I would also say to all those who are on the plateau right now - from 8 AUgust until 26 September I lost grand total of 1 lb. How demotivating was that! But now I am edging down again so happy days.

I think that plateau is a bitch and its really hard to keep going. But hopefully now Im losing again and that may spur us all on into the next month or so - before the temptations of Xmas!

Hang in there ladies

HattiFattner · 26/10/2011 18:00

mistlethrush I'll join you. Want to get to 14st by Xmas - thats just over 1/2 stone for me

mistlethrush · 26/10/2011 18:13

I've put on 3 lbs on my plateau Angry. However, it will come off again and I will lose it.

Am currently debating which gym to join - need to look at one other option. Want to start swimming again - and one of the ones I looked at has classes like pilates and zumba at a convenient after-work time that I might manage to persuade myself to go to.

Cluckingmad · 27/10/2011 09:18

Gutted, had my weigh in yesterday and I have stayed the same this week Sad
It's only 2 weeks in and I have been really good and tracking everything, so frustrated. To make it worse I am going for a night out on saturday for my moms birthday and have nothing to wear, well nothing that fits anyway!
Well done to all of you that have lost, hopefully I will be celebrating with you soon.

Littlefish · 27/10/2011 09:32

Well, astoundingly, I managed to lose half a pound. I'm really happy with that!

For all of those of you on a plateau - between May and September this year, I only lost 3lbs. However, I stuck with it, and once I was back at work, tracking properly, and really sticking to the plan, the weight started to come off again.

Mistle & Hatti - yes! Let's just go for it! I want to lose half a stone at least by Christmas.

Clucking - I stayed the same on my second week of WW. Don't be disheartened - it's probably just your body adjusting. Stick with it!

mistlethrush · 27/10/2011 09:57

Clucking - I also find that my cycle affects things quite significantly - so I can put on one week and then lose more the next week - if you average it out its a steady line (when I'm losing Angry) but it doesn't feel like it on the weeks it doesn't come off.

changeforthebetter · 27/10/2011 20:06

Hi ladies, does anyone know if the points in wine goes down if it is a low alcohol one? I picked up some 5.5% abv at Morrisons tonight, mainly because I fancy a glass with dinner but not a headache tomorrow. I am pointing at a 3 like other boozy things but wondered if it is lower because it is less than half the alcohol of normal wines (I tend to drink around 11.5-13.5% stuff normally, stronger than that and I feel lousy after one glass )

There's some WW wine but not sure of the points in that. Don't fancy it much as I don't like sweeter wines.

CrosswordAddict · 30/10/2011 15:27

Joined Weight-watchers last Monday. First weigh-in tomorrow.
Have stuck to the plan religiously and walked and walked like mad.
Hope for good news tomorrow night. Watch this space.
One query: for activity I use the Wii Fit in the winter when the weather is bad. How do I work out the Activity points?

herdingcats · 31/10/2011 10:48

Hello ladies, back from holiday and am so pleased to be back on track. I did not track at all whilst away ,but still felt very aware of everything that went in my mouth. 1st week I was very careful, then thought I deserve this break and then spent a week having treats ,all be it small ones. I will have put on weight, but know I can lose it again now I am back in my routine.
WI on Wednesday will report in then Smile

HattiFattner · 31/10/2011 14:19

I STS this week - and I did not deserve it....I have been v. off track since Friday, eating loads of crap. Back on the old wagon today, focus focus! I am my own worst saboteur!

herdingcats · 31/10/2011 17:02

Finally been brave brave enough to add my before and after pics. Blush
I still in my head see a fat bird though, Sad don't know how I can get past that.

Littlefish · 31/10/2011 19:52

Wow Herdingcats. What an incredible difference! What is your total weight loss? You look fantastic. I do understand what you mean about still Feeling like a fat bird. It definitely takes time to get your head around looking so different. Take the time to look at yourself in mirrors and photographs and pay yourself some compliments. it's all too easy to look in the mirror and see those parts of ourselves we are still not happy with.

Can you post three things here that you like about your new body or frame of mind?

In fact, Can we all do that please to keep Herding company. I'm cooking at the moment, but I'll be back later to post mine.

Sorbetballs · 31/10/2011 20:53

Hello, I'm new! I've been lurking and getting inspired. Can I barge in and introduce myself and ask a question all in one breath or is there some kind of initiation ritual? Been doing pps for 5 weeks, sticking to it religiously, and lost just over a stone, hurrah!, but struggling with low points meals ideas (4-8 ish)and getting a bit bored of veg soup/tomatoes on toast/meat plus salad option. I like a low point lunch so I can eat with the family later. I have a newish baby so limited time to cook and I prefer quick and easy to slow and fancy but can do a bit of prep/salad etc. Otherwise I'd happily buy a ready meal or something, but I know I'd psychologically struggle with splitting a pack so would need a single portion option. Any ideas gratefully received..

Littlefish · 31/10/2011 20:58

Welcome Sorbetballs. Well done on your weightless so far.

Like you, I tend to eat low point breakfasts and lunches. I really like having a biiiiiiiig meal in the evening!

I've been doing pro points for just over a year now and have lost 4.5 stone, with about 3 ish stone to go.

I tend to have a very low carb lunch e.g. Chicken stir fry with no noodles, veg soup and chicken salad etc. If I can't avoid carbs at lunchtime, then I tend to avoid them in the evening and have something like bolognaise sauce on a bed of cabbage, rather than spaghetti.

Littlefish · 31/10/2011 21:01

My three compliments to myself:

I now look younger than my age.
I have a fantastically curvy hour-glass figure.
I feel proud of myself and happier in my own skin.

AutumnFalls · 01/11/2011 06:58

Good morning all.

I am back on the WW wagon since falling off it. (I was SummerLeaps.... way back earlier thread!). I have put on 2 pounds since I stopped tracking, so now 10st 10 which is not too bad really considering I have been having burgers and chips several days a week.

Back on to a new, healthier me... I even took a vitamin tablet this morning!

Are we doing aims? I aim to be under 10 stone by Christmas.

herdingcats you look gorgeous! Littlefish I am green over a curvy hourglass figure. I am a classic apple!

have good days!

herdingcats · 01/11/2011 10:56
