I can I join?

after loosing almost 5 stone on Dukan, I have hit a wall and want to loose 10 pounds. So dp has started ww pro points and I am jumping on the wagon too.
I am finding it all a bit confusing!! I am allowed 29points a day, but will actually struggle to eat this much after Dukan!

And I am allowed to eat bread again!!! This is a mind bender.

MrsWajs · 17/10/2011 21:36

Question for those of you at goal, did you get a gold member pack and a maintenance points allowance?????
A friend today told me I should have been given this and I wasn't. I did ask leader and she just said to continue on my 29 point as "some people go a bit crazy once they reach goal" any ideas??

HeyH0 · 17/10/2011 21:43

My understanding is you increase to 35 PP per day & still have 49 weeklies...

MrsWajs · 17/10/2011 22:27

Thanks HeyHO

pollywollydoodle · 18/10/2011 13:46

can i join too? i think i might be in for a long haul.

i started at ww nearly 2 weeks ago with 2 stone to lose. i lost precisely zilch in the first week despite tracking what i ate. leader said just keep it up.

after a struggle not to binge and say sod it the evening after weigh in when i used 14 of my weekly points, i've measured, weighed , sprayed oil and tracked everything i've used all my daily points and 5 weekly ones.

i'm not very mobile at all (i have ms and use a scooter)...do people who are less mobile just need less points?

crumbletastic · 18/10/2011 14:05

YES YES YES! I'm at my goal weight! It has taken over 4 long years (had to take breaks due to 2 pregnancies) but I am finally there. I'm so happy but a bit scared of the maintanance phase. It should be easy for a few months as DH still has quite a bit to lose but I really don't want to slip back to my old ways. I'm having a fish and chip supper when I go to Blackpool illuminations next week (reet classy, me) but staying away from all my old favourites as I don't want the gold weight being my excuse to get eating.

That's crazy for her to say that MrsWaj did you not get your gold key then? Mine was in the pack. The pack suggests either adding 3 points for the first week and increasing it if you are still losing after a couple weeks, or adding 6 points and decreasing it if you start gaining after the first couple weeks. I've gone for 6 as I'm still bfing and was always losing quite a lot per week.

Sorry things haven't gone so well so far polly maybe try eating more of your weeklies for a week? My dh is very sedantary(lazy!) and will even drive up to the corner shop but he has been having some good losses, and started losing more when he ate more weekly points. You have to play around a bit and find the amount of them that works best for you but I know quite a lot of people struggle to lose if they hardly use them as the body thinks it is in starvation mode and holds onto fat.

pollywollydoodle · 18/10/2011 20:45

thanks crumble and well done!

mistlethrush · 18/10/2011 21:12

crumbles - thanks - and congratulations! I was getting rather Hmm about it all with my recent plateau....

MrsWajs · 18/10/2011 22:36

Congratulations Crumble :)

Nope no gold key or pack for me? I'm v confused. Unfortunately put on 1.5lbs tonight, gaaaaaaah. Wasn't intentional and didn't go mad because I was at goal, just lost track a bit over the weekend and got pissed off and stopped tracking!!

TartyMcFarty · 19/10/2011 07:57

Well done Crumble!

Enough fannying about, chopping and changing and generally being useless from me. I actually went to a meeting and joined on Monthly Pass yesterday. I decided that paying up-front would encourage me to stick at it. Goal, here I come!

Littlefish · 19/10/2011 14:32

That's fantastic news Crumble. Do you feel brave enough to post some before and after photos? We'd all love to see them to keep inspiring us on our weight loss journeys.

Cluckingmad · 19/10/2011 17:47

Hi ladies, thanks for the advice regarding sweet treats. I have been satisfying my sweet tooth with muller light and jaffa cakes Smile

Had my first meeting today and it was good, got my book and a couple of recipe books too. I am feeling positive at the moment just hope it lasts.

Mabelface · 20/10/2011 13:50

Afternoon. I joined yesterday and have started tracking as from today. I'm stuffed, and I still have 14 of today's points for my dinner. Am going to aim to use weekly points as little as possible so I get out of the habit of snacking in the evening. I am 12st 7 1/2lbs and am aiming for my first 5% loss.

benbon · 20/10/2011 15:53

lost 2.5lbs today.. very pleased! now 7lbs under goal but still want to lose 7lbs for a personal goal!! well done to everyone else x

TartyMcFarty · 20/10/2011 17:34

benbon, you've obviously got the bug, well and truly. How much have you lost now, and how long has it taken you?

benbon · 20/10/2011 22:10

im now 2lbs away from 5 stone, since febuary... been a long road but so glad i started it!

mistlethrush · 21/10/2011 10:42

That's great going Benbon. Wish mine would shift a bit more easily Envy

pollywollydoodle · 21/10/2011 13:43

yay! lost 2 lbs...happier now!

Mabelface · 21/10/2011 18:18

This is the last weekend where I won't be working, so I'm being naughty with wine and pizza. Will get on it properly from Monday.

TartyMcFarty · 21/10/2011 20:11

No wine for me tonight - first time in ages I haven't succumbed on a Friday. Did have a McD's breaakfast though!! (But pointed, so hopefully not too bad!)

Well done polly. benbon, that's pretty inspiring! Do you usually use your weeklies?

Anyone here use the WW boards? I find this one much better but lest busy.

pollywollydoodle · 21/10/2011 21:05

thanks tarty... i had a look at the WW one but it seems more cumbersome than MN

TartyMcFarty · 23/10/2011 08:19

I've had a sneaky peek today and following the plan properly is definitely paying off, despite having used 36 weeklies over 5 days. I always feel 'naughty' doing that, but I suppose what you're doing is keeping everything.under control rather than being 'bad' then giving up and pigging out. Looking forward to WI on Tuesday Smile

HattiFattner · 24/10/2011 12:25

Woop Woop! 4lbs off over 2 weeks, thats my 10 % too Grin. Now 24.5lbs lighter than when I started. Helped I think by having had my mirena coil removed 2.5 weeks ago, and feeling Oh so much better. SO all in all, on a high, as Ive been on a plateau for a month or 2.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/10/2011 19:13

well done everyone

im sorry im so slack on this thread at the moment, but just cant motivate myself :(

keep up the good work x

mistlethrush · 25/10/2011 12:43

Hello Blondes, I'm glad I'm not the only one!
