New thread for us WW devotees.

Blondes is head honcho but is busy showing off her tan.

Me - I am the resident statistician - weekly updates for thread losses.

So jump on in and post away - we are having a summer challenge to keep us on track.

another 1.5lbs this week, total of 5lbs so far but it's still early days. really didn't think that I would lose this week so it's a big bonus.

herdingcats · 29/09/2011 13:56

Well WI went better than I thought, I was concerned I may have lost too much ,due to my hospital stay. Lost 2.5lb and had not been weighed for 2weeks so it was good. Happy where I am now ,want to learn to maintain. But its not top priority atm ,as I need to be back to full health to concentrate on it.

HattiFattner · 29/09/2011 14:34

im finding WW hard at the moment - have lost 19lbs since June but have plateaued big time. No helped that some friends are doing SW and seem to be losing loads and its obvious - whereas I am still in the same trouser size and no one has commented on my shrinking bum. Just a bit fed up really!

MrsWajs · 29/09/2011 19:26

2.5 off again this week (amazingly) so quite happy with myself! That's a stone and half a pound all together.

benbon · 29/09/2011 19:59

lost another pound this morning so very pleased!!! its all good... dont think ill every tyer of hearing you dont need to lose any more weight lol!!! 6lbs left to go :)

Littlefish · 30/09/2011 00:02

Another 1.5lbs off for me this week. That's 4 stone 4.5lbs in total.

I'll be back tomorrow with supportive words for HattiFatner. it's too late now and i'm off to bed.

bucksmum · 30/09/2011 09:07

Signed up yesterday can't quite believe how heavy I am now, anyway today I start the plan did a massive

bucksmum · 30/09/2011 09:10

Oops pressed send before I finished! Did massive tesco shop last night to stock up on provisions so ready to crack on with the plan today. Keeping quiet about WW in real life just because there is always someone who wants to scupper my attempts so hoping this group will be the support I need! Grin

JennyPiccolo · 30/09/2011 12:06

1.5 off this morning. That's 2st 6lbs since starting ww precisely 3 months ago.

Amapoleon · 30/09/2011 12:44

Hello, looking for a bit of advice. is it possible to do this without going to meetings? I don't live in UK and am to tight to pay for it online hahaa. I'm just googling to see how wwpp works.

way2serious · 01/10/2011 11:27

Hi everyone.

I am new this week to WW and am using the online method. I am trying to track everything I eat and can already see where I fall down - I have a sweet tooth and love carbs and don't do any excercise!!
I have about a stone to lose and so know that I am unlikely to lose large amounts but would like to lose a couple of pounds this week and then a pound or so every week. Am hoping that this is realistic and the weight will be gone by Christmas.

Anyway off for a walk in the beautiful sunshine.

wizzler · 02/10/2011 10:50

Morning all
Herding.. glad you are out of hospital, hope you are on the mend now
Littlefish.. good going this week
Well done to all the losers..

I have been having a real mental struggle the last week or two. Since reaching goal I almost seem to be trying to sabotage my wieght loss.. I keep eating crp and then looking at the scales the next morning (I know Blondes*, I know) to check if I have put any on... was doing ok till all of a sudden put on 3lbs... ( not surprising as I had eaten a bar of cooking choc the night before as it was all I could find Blush. I think it was Vnmum who said she now realised that she had to stick to this forever.. I know thats true for me.. just got to get my head around it now!

benbon · 02/10/2011 18:33

forgot to say my 1lb loss this week gave me my certificate for losing 50lbs!! yay

androbbob · 02/10/2011 20:48

Managed a measly half a pound this week but been full of cold and not doing anything properly all week. Cold getting better but then had to take DD to hospital with her little finger - which was found to be broken - netball incident!

Will endeavour to sort myself out tomorrow. Planning an outdoor run then coffee with SIL at local lakeside centre - lovely area to run round and somewhere to get changed after run before coffee!

littlefish and everyone who has lost this past week well done Smile
wizzler - thanks for your fgood wishes ,progressing well I think. sutures out on Thursday, then I hope to be able to drive again. Not liking having to do food shop via internet( I'm a control freak) I like to choose my own stuff !!
benbon- fantasticGrin I have 50 lb as my ultimate goal, but have told nobody in RL, as I think they will all say not to. Hmm
androbbob- its still going in the right direction. Smile
I may well be up this week ,as last 2 weeks have been barely able to eat , and now back on my 29PP eating so my body is probably going to hold onto it all thinking I've been starving myself. If that makes senseConfused. I want to lose a bit more ,but definately at a sensible rate, will need to let things settle down .

Littlefish · 03/10/2011 18:49

Oooh benbon - congratulations on your certificate. We're a pretty select bunch you know Grin.

Jenny - well done! Great progress.l

Wizzler - It sounds like your thinking is going in the right direction. I think that once one has an issue with food, the issue will always remain, but the coping strategies will improve so that it becomes second nature to cope, rather than become overwhelmed. Getting to goal is a massive achievment. Give yourself a break, and time to think about the future. A future where you are in control of your eating, and living a healthy life. Try and imagine how that will feel, and think about the positive effect it will have on your life.

herdingcats · 05/10/2011 21:22

Here to report a 2lb loss this week. Can't believe than I've just another lb to go and I will have lost 3stShock
Maintaining will be harder I think than the losing .
Good luck for you all this week Smile

MrsWajs · 05/10/2011 22:17

1lb off again this week.

Can anyone at goal tell me, do you become a gold member when you reach the weight you specify you want to be or is it as soon as you fall into the healthy weight range for your height? Does that make sense?

The healthy range for my height is between 8st1lbs and 10st1lbs and I'm at 9st8.5lbs but have set my goal at 9st so do I only become a gold member when I reach that weight!??

MrsWajs · 05/10/2011 22:18

Oooh and got my 10% keyring this week too :)

bucksmum · 06/10/2011 10:21

Wow first WI today and I've lost 7lbs - very chuffed - it's been an ok week I've quite enjoyed being in control again! However the test will be whether it's sustainable!

herdingcats · 06/10/2011 14:32

you can set your goal at the highest permissible weight for your BMI range. so that means for you it can be from the date you become 10st 1lb or less. you do not need to be paying now as you have already reached that bracket. Just raise your goal to go free. HTH Smile

MrsWajs · 06/10/2011 23:49

Good plan herding hadn't actually thought of it that way!!

crumbletastic · 07/10/2011 08:49

Ah does that mean you only start paying again when you go 5 lbs above your healthy weight range? I read it as 5lbs within your goal weight so if you lose 5lbs more than you specify you wont have to pay again iykwim, so you can go as under as you want as long as it's still in healthy range? I might shift my goal too as I'm currently within healthy range but have another 7lbs to get to where I want to be, and I could do with saving pennies and not paying for monthly pass

herdingcats · 07/10/2011 12:34

Yes you can set your goal at the highest weight for your BMI bracket, and go up to 5lb over that without paying again. That is how my leader explained it to me. I now only pay for E-source £15 for 3 months, which I feel is well worth it to keep me on track . HTH

crumbletastic · 07/10/2011 12:44

Yes, thanks. Whatever my weight is on Monday, I'm telling them that's my goal :)
