If you can make a pot of veggie soup, that's quite a good snack. Snack a jacks are 3pp i think, and ww do their own crisps which are 2/3pp a pack. I quite like celery with philly light as well.

Also, i live off crumpets,2/3 pp each as well, toasted with low fat spread and cinnamon. They're really filling.

JennyPiccolo · 21/09/2011 17:34

Also, welcome and well done on weight loss!

fustyarse · 21/09/2011 17:51

thanks Jenny - think I'll try your crumpets idea, sounds lovely

thanks for the welcome too!

benbon · 21/09/2011 19:49

well after bunking off the last 2 weeks im now back on it!!! will go to wi tomorrow and tackle it from there, well done to every one who has lost this week!

MrsWajs · 21/09/2011 23:25

1lb off at WI on Tues, could be better but hey ho. Intentionally didn't drink this week but instead filled my face with lots of nice home made cake at my cousins babys christening Hmm Onwards and downwards.

Do all of you guys that attend meetings have a set goal weight, I asked my leader about it on Tuesday and she said I can pick what it is as long as it's between the lowest and highest acceptable weight ranges for my height?

I'm currently at 9st 12lbs and I think the ranges for my height are 8st 1lb - 10st 1lb. But I think getting down to 8st would be a bit much, I know from past experience that once I get under 9st 7lb I start to look a bit gaunt but all the same I'm going to plump for 9st 3lb, gives me a bit of lee-way to gain a pound or two when I'm having an off week and not freak out about it!!

What is "The Shred"?? I kinda (naively) hoped that once I'd lost weight my body would just automatically morph into one from a magazine page, sadly that's not been the case so exercise is next on my agenda!!

JennyPiccolo · 22/09/2011 10:20

1.5lb off this morning! Not sure how that happenedHmm

Away to liverpool for the weekend with family so i think i'll struggle but will see what happens.

AndTheWinnerIs · 22/09/2011 12:50

Hello all
Can I join in?
Have just been to my first meeting (this time round) and wi at a whopping 18st 8lb, utterly mortified. How fat am I :)
So, the plan is to follow the plan and get off my ass and do some exercise.

Any wise words please.
Will have a read through now and see how well you are all doing.

MrsWajs · 22/09/2011 13:31

Sorry just read back my last post and thought maybe it was a little insensitive. I know some of you here have lost masses of weight and some still have a long way to go so my weight loss seems a bit trivial in comparison. Hope I haven't offended anyone :)

Vajazzler · 22/09/2011 16:36

Welcome new WW'ers!
Andthewinneris I have lost 3 stone 12lbs now but still weigh a good few stone more than you Blush I remember that feeling of suddenly realising exactly how much you weigh and the enormous amount you need to lose. Blush
Take it half a stone at a time and you'll be fine.Smile

benbon · 22/09/2011 19:44

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/09/2011 17:14

shall i go on ................ Grin

well done all losers

welcome all newbies

Littlefish · 23/09/2011 18:50

I stayed the same as well. I wasn't particularly bad last week, but I wasn't particularly good either! Oh well, I'll just have to do better next week. Smile

tinkgirl · 23/09/2011 19:26

i lost 2 last week and 1 1/2 this week. am really struggling TBH so am going to spend the weekend cooking and try to get some meals in the freezer.

Littlefish · 24/09/2011 09:28

tinkgirl - losing 2 last week and 1 and a half this week is great. The aim of WW is for a loss of 1/2 to 2 lbs per week, so you are doing it absolutely right. Getting some food in the freezer, and planning your meals sounds like a good plan if you're finding it hard going.

SoylentClean · 24/09/2011 09:30

Can I join in and ask some basic questions about WW?

I've lost 2st 10lbs on Slimming World in the last 10 months but I'm really bored of SW now and fancy a change. I chose SW because I'm quite rural and its the only one I can get to, but I was thinking of doing WW on my own for a month or two to relieve the boredom a bit. A change is as good as a rest and all that.

I'd still have to weigh in each week so I'd keep going to the SW meetings I just won't let on that I'm having a WW holiday!!

I'm going to buy the WW starter pack on ebay to save pennies but will it tell me how many propoints I can have in a day?

I'm 11st 7lbs and I'm 5ft 4, anyone know how many I can have?

Never done WW before so if you have any nuggets of advice I'd really appreciate it. I want to lose another 1st1lb to get to my target weight and then I'd be back to my pre-children weight.

herdingcats · 24/09/2011 12:52

Hello all, I'm back online after being in for my operation. Missed WI this week and not sure if I will be mobile enough to manage next week either. Need to get my eating back to normal, after hospital. Did look at my home scales and they seem to say I have lost 6-7 lbs, hoping not as my leader will have a fit. Not worrying really as I just need to get myself fit again. Operation was 7+ hrs in the end, so it will take a while to get anaesthetic out of my system.

changeforthebetter · 25/09/2011 13:03

Hi Soylent I do WW online as I can't spare the time for meetings. Plus I get to do my WI starkers first thing on a Wednesday morning so I get the lowest weight Grin That's just a psychological boost for me. I find the online thing really good, much better than trekking out to a meeting on a cold, wet autumn night. I have done WW before, years ago and did go to the meetings as it was before the online version existed. I am a nerd careful with figures so quite like the points system. The only downside is I only have a PC upstairs so the kids often wonder why I am wandering upstairs with a tin of soup and a packet of bagels when in fact I am going to "point" them. If you've got a laptop in the kitchen or an i-Phone that would be mega convenient. I really need to menu plan anyway so this forces me to do.

Good luck Smile

HeyH0 · 25/09/2011 19:43

Soylent The calculator will tell you your PP allowance when you input your weight. I'm the same height as you, but heavier, and have a daily allowance of 29 PP.

Herding Hope you're starting to feel better.

SoylentClean · 25/09/2011 19:54

Thanks guys, I've bought a starter pack on ebay with the little electronic calculator thingy included, I'm hoping it will arrive Tues/Wed and then I can get started. I'll check on that how many PP I'm allowed, but having googled a bit more now I think I will be on 29 like you suggested.

I'm not going to let on to my SW rep that I'm following WW for change, I need the routine of going along and being weighed. If I weigh myself at home I won't do it and it will all slip. I'd go and do a WW class if there was one near here though.

I'll feel really naughty at SW knowing I'm following WW!! Its just this last 1stone I need to shift, I can't do it on SW because I'm bored of it and so I start cheating.

I'm determined to get to my target though so hope WW works for me. Thansk again, I might pop back once I have my book and am confused and need help!!

HattiFattner · 26/09/2011 15:44

buggeration - put on a pound this week. How did that happen - ate all but 12 points, mostly exercise points - and gained? Maybe TOTM. Next week Im going to lose, come hook or crook.

Serendipity11 · 26/09/2011 21:02

Hi girls, joined WW last week. First weigh in on Weds - FX'd i've lost!

changeforthebetter · 28/09/2011 07:21

Big fat 0 loss this week Sad I've been "good" and kept on plan all week. Nothing to show for it. I don't find the measurements help as it's hard to know where exactly I measured before. I feel totally fed up (rest of life is not peachy either so I suppose I should pat myself for not comfort eating my way out of it all)

rushingrachel · 28/09/2011 09:39

2 pounds off yesterday, so 1 stone 4 to date. Pleased with that as have been good.

Have a new leader. Awesome guy. He had lost 7 stone and kept it off for 5 years. What I really liked about him though was how honest he was. He started the meeting by introducing himself then said every now and again we need to recognise together that following the programme is hard work. He said he loves to eat, loves to cook, loves a drink and keeping his weight in the healthy range will ALWAYS be a struggle for him. Obviously he really believes in the programme and was positive about it but sometimes I found the old leader over positive and never willing to acknowledge the obvious truth that a bar of chocolate is intrinsically nicer than something like marrow stuffed with vegetables roasted in low fat cooking spray with cottage cheese. Healthy and filling it may be. Nice?????? Hmmmmm. It was such a good fun meeting and everyone there really responded to a bit of realism.

crumbletastic · 28/09/2011 16:25

I don't know what has happened to me this week my fellow losers, I'm 5.5lbs away from goal but I can't seem to stop eating this week. I was on a course this morning and bought along my fruit to avoid the biscuits but then I had my fruit and 12 biscuits, and 3 brews with 2 sugars in each, and an ice cream on the way home. It's been similar for the past week now, I start every day with good intentions again but by early afternoon I am eating everything in sight. I need to get my motivation back
