Thanks Littlefish. I managed to use up all my extra points on a rare night out last night so have to be extra-disciplined for the next three days

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2011 22:14

JennyPiccolo · 18/09/2011 23:13

I have had a v. Bad few days. Gone off the rails a bit. Need to do some damage control before weigh in.

JennyPiccolo · 18/09/2011 23:14

Try to do a day at a time, blondes. It's hard work!

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/09/2011 23:45

im trying jenny - hope you manage to limit damage

rushingrachel · 19/09/2011 13:31

I'm a bit depressed today. Smugly assumed that following the triumph of being able to get my backside back into my size 16 jeans that I would clearly be able to get into a size 18 dress for a wedding beginning of October. Monsoon parcel arrived this morning and yes, it did up, but it was too tight across the bust. Proof that whatever weight has gone my quadriboobs are still very much with me. Been good as gold this week too. I guess it will have to go back ... however good I am I can't guarantee how weight loss will go in the next few weeks ... so will have to go back to searching for something with a 2 at the front of the size. Grrrr.

clarabella18 · 19/09/2011 15:57

Was out and about today at lunch time and was starving. Without thinking about it I bought 5 drumsticks from the rotisserie in asda and scoffed the lot. Realised when o got home that it just cost me about 15 pointsSad stupid stupid stupidAngry looks like lots of veggies to bulk dinner out tonight!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2011 18:42

rushingrachel try a m&s all in one under dress - and generally monsoon seem to be tight

HattiFattner · 19/09/2011 20:09

oooh thank goodness - lost this week - 2.5 lbs Grin.

I found it really difficult to get back into the swing of things after the hols - just stepping back up on those scales and facing the music was pretty damn diffcult. But I did and I managed to claw myself back on track last week. Hopefully another good week to come!

androbbob · 19/09/2011 21:15

Evening all - just popping in to see who is around!

Not WI this week as the blooming scales need a new battery! Will have to get one tomorrow if can. When I was out earlier today I bumped into my old leader of the class I used to go to - she even remembered my name and was trying to encourage me to return to class! I explained why the one I went to was no good and she told me of the other ones she runs - bless her! It was hard to talk while pulling my coat around over my body in a vein attempt to hide my mass! Will consider starting class again in October - got enough on for the next two weeks to keep me occupied for now!

Off to play with my new phone - its a smart one so can get a WW app on it so can track all day!!

Be good Grin

Hi all,
I am returning after several months weeks off. I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either.
I go on holiday in 17 days and my costume is a bit tight still. I need a swift kick up the backside, and don't know where to turn. :(
Tomorrow is my 1st day back on the diet, and fingers crossed there will be no self sabotaging on my side.
I am going to try to come say hi every day to keep myself motivated.
I'll catch up on posts in the morning
xx

wizzler · 19/09/2011 22:25

Well done Changeforthebetter, Hatti and everyone else who lost. Big cheer in particular for Littlefish.. you have done so well.

Just popping in to say Daclaireh.. you can rely on us to give you a kick up the backside whenever you want one. Stop chuffing about and track properly! Grin
You know it will make sense in 17 days time . ( Perhaps more constructively, I recommend The Shred as one way to tone up pdq)

rushingrachel · 20/09/2011 12:10

just been to my meeting and 3 pounds off. Makes up for the disappointment of the tight dress. Very pleased ... especially as just before I went off I had a really annoying colleague in my office giving out to me about how weightwatchers is rubbish and just there for the profit and I'd be better off using MFP. I don't understand people like that. Anyone who needs to lose weight needs a strategy for eating less, laying off the wine and moving around more. If you stick to any of these things: WW, SW, Lighterlife, any of them, they will work ... Losing weight is hard work and felt a bit upset that she couldn't just say "good on you" rather than having to make a point (and make me late)! Grrrrr. Rant over.

changeforthebetter · 21/09/2011 06:02

Rachel - here's Biscuit for your numpty colleague and she might like to fill up some empty brainspace with this Hmm

Well done on 3lb that is fantastic, I've lost 1lb this week so good but it is slow. I keep telling myself down is better than up! Smile

Vajazzler · 21/09/2011 07:14

Hi all, just checking in and it's great to see so much success. Well done everyone that lost weight!
RushingRachel could you need a new bra? A correctly fitting bra can completely change your bust shape. Maybe the quadroboobs can be tamed!
Androbob I looooove my WW app. I track everything I eat fork in one hand phone in the other! On a bad day I look at the graph of my weight loss to remind me I can do it.
Daclaireh hang your costume up somewhere prominent so it reminds you everyday what you want to achieve.

I have had a good week. WI last night and can report a 7lb loss. BlushGrin

Littlefish · 21/09/2011 10:33

vajazzler and andobbob - which app do you use? Would it work on my iPad?

rushingrachel · 21/09/2011 12:48

Vajazzler ... 7 lbs?!?!?!?! That is amazing, well done you.

Changeforthebetter - good article, I'd send it to pesky colleague except then she'd come and see me and I'd rather not provoke another of her visits to be honest. Last week she came in with cream cakes for her birthday and kind of stopped theatrically at the doorway and said something like "oh, silly me, you won't want one of these will you" ... she's just that kind of person.

Vajazzler · 21/09/2011 12:48

Yes Littlefish it would but you have to be either an online member or get the monthly pass. Dont think you can access it if you pay weekly in class.

Vajazzler · 21/09/2011 12:51

Thanks RushingRachel Blush

I hate people like your work colleague. She must feel threatened by the fact you're doing something positive in your life.

Littlefish · 21/09/2011 12:58

Bllody hell Vajazzler - I missed the last line of your message. You lost 7lbs!!!!! In a week???????? That's amazing. Well done. How did you do it?

I do the monthly pass thing, but can't get the website to work on my ipad. I think it must use a flash player or something.

androbbob · 21/09/2011 13:31

littlefish the app I use is an android one so not sure if it would work on your IPad (showoff!) It is called WWDiary and is free!

Well done vajazzler!!

OP posts:
Vajazzler · 21/09/2011 16:14

Ha ha Littlefish! I couldnt believe i lost 7lbs in a week. Lost 3 last week and 3 the week before that so 13lbs in 3 weeks! I am a bit bloody minded about the whole thing. I need to be as have so much to lose.

Vajazzler · 21/09/2011 16:17

And definitely download the weightwatchers app from the app store. Its incuded in the price of your monthly pass and its fab.
heres the link for it

clarabella18 · 21/09/2011 17:06

Well even after 2 take aways and my daft asda rotisserie purchase I still managed to loose a pound and a half.
Seven and half pounds in total in 3 weeks. Grin

fustyarse · 21/09/2011 17:17

hello ladies

does anyone mind if I jump in? I've been going to meetings for 4 weeks and have lost 7.5lbs so it's def working for me, for the first time ever. Am finding I'm living on ready meals bulked up with roasted vegetables which suits me fine. I have at least another 20lbs to lose.

So many great losses on this thread, it's inspiring me to keep going (i've been lurking for a while)

i must say this is the longest i've ever stuck to any diet plan but the continued losses keep me going. I'd say i'm 'good' about 80% of the time, my WI is on a Friday morning so I tend to enjoy myself over Fri/sat and get back to it on Sundays Smile. I do like a glass of wine or 3 on a Sat night!

I was wondering if anyone could give me some inspiration for snack type things - I'm always peckish around 4pm and am getting sick of melba toasts with salsa...I like savoury snacks mostly. I'm doing an online shop ATM so want to stick other new thingss in my basket!
