No im on 28 weekly pointsConfused

rushingrachel · 13/09/2011 16:00

Ha ha "trashy reward carbs" in substitution for proper meals. That's my second problem ... after the wine. My day would start with me rushing around trying to get healthy stuff down DS (no, you can't have sugar on your weetabix, that's why there are some lovely chopped strawberries in your bowl) only then to pop into the kitchen and pig a few chocolate digestives on the pretext of not having time for breakfast. Same thing with lunch, preach away to the kids about eating their vegetables, not eat anything whilst doing lunchtime supervision, then decide it's too late for lunch and eat a bag crisps instead Blush

LolaLadybird · 13/09/2011 17:52

I'm pretty good with my meals actually .... it's just the stuff I want to eat in between WinkBlush.

crumbletastic · 13/09/2011 18:49

Blimy Jenny that is a bigger drop in weeklies than I was expecting!

herdingcats · 13/09/2011 19:00

JennyPiccolo -what do you mean by 28 weekly points? I have just checked my e-source and it still shows 49 weeklies. Bearing in mind I am at goal and still have it set to lose weight, not maintain, I don't understand . Forgive me if I'm just being thick Smile

JennyPiccolo · 13/09/2011 20:23

48! i meant to write 48! sorry. Yeah, i put in my weight the other day and my dailies went from 30 to 29 and my weeklies went to 48.

Then i put on a pound and they've gone back up to 49.

...which is now making me wonder if i dreamt it? haha

Littlefish · 13/09/2011 21:29

Just back from weigh in and I've lost another pound Grin. That's 59lbs (4 stone 3lbs) altogether. I'm very happy with that.

JennyPiccolo · 13/09/2011 21:36

that's amazing, littlefish. Well done! I can't even imagine being able to say ive lost 4st, i hope it does happen eventually.

huffythethreadslayer · 13/09/2011 21:42

Wow. There are some incredible weight losses on here! I've just started, and lost 4lb this week. My friend, who started at the same time as me, lost 4.5lb, so we're both really chuffed.

She started running and I just kept to my points. Next week, she's keeping to her points and I'm hoping to run...so fingers crossed, we can both do the same next week :)

If not, a couple of pounds would be good!

Thanks for the tip on low fat goats cheese. Got it added to the next shop online!

Littlefish · 13/09/2011 21:45

Stick with it Jenny. You'll get there! When I started, I didn't dare even think about how much I had to lose. Now, I love the fact that I can say that I've lost 4 stone 3' and "only" have 3 stone 11 to go.

rushingrachel · 14/09/2011 09:58

Well done Littlefish. I am looking forward to the day I can tell people I've lost 4 stone 3 pounds. Big weight losses like yours, where you actually are still losing weight at a decent weekly rate, make me believe I can do it. You must have put in such a big effort.

clarabella18 · 14/09/2011 13:58

Just back from weigh in and lost a pound. I'm happy with that after such a big loss in the first week. Only another 1 to go till my first silver seven.

We talked about making small goals and targets last week and so I've decided I'd like to try and get into a pair of size 16 jeans by Christmas. Currently in an 18-20 at the moment so it should be doable.

MrsWajs · 14/09/2011 17:40

Hmm somehow lost 3.5lbs last night?!?!?! Biggest loss yet, v Grin that's 11lbs total now following last weeks blip.

Littlefish · 14/09/2011 18:46

Thanks Rushingrachel - It's taken me a year to lose, so I have definitely taken it slowly and steadily. There have been very few times I've felt deprived as I've tried to make sure that I still have some of the foods that I used to love. The ladies on here have been fabulous and talked me through some very wobbly times - the support has been amazing. You definitely can do it. It really is important to track and weigh things. I still track and weigh almost everything I eat. In time, I will get better at estimating portion size, but I know that portion size is the main reason I used to weigh 19 and a half stone, so I really can't afford to get it wrong on a regular basis again.

clarabella - your small goal sounds very doable! Well done on losing a pound.

MrsWajs - what a fabulous loss! Makes up for last week, doesn't it.

herdingcats · 14/09/2011 21:34

Littlefish - you are so right bout the slow & steady ,also tracking / weighing everything is essential. I do that and have lost on average 1.4lb per week, with a few ups and downs of course.
Pleased to report 1.5lb loss at WI this week, so a little nearer my personal goal. I will get there one daySmile

MrsWajs · 14/09/2011 21:41

Thanks Littlefish it does make up for last week indeed!! :)

notnearlyasblondasiwas · 14/09/2011 22:28

Hi everyone, had my first weighin this week and lost 5lbs which I am really happy with. I am struggling to use all my points though, which is ironic as I didn't seem to have any problems eating plenty before I was on WW! Does it matter if you don't use your weekly points?

Littlefish · 15/09/2011 06:58

notnearlyasblondasiwas - I struggled to eat all my points at the beginning. I think it's part of the process you go through when you start avoiding some foods, it makes you ultra cautious about other foods. In a few weeks time, you will feel a little more relaxed about it, and I'm sure you won't have any problem eating your daily points!

No, it doesn't matter if you don't use your weekly points. People use them in different ways. I rarely use more than 10 or mine. Others save them and use them all in one night for a special occasion. Others use a few every day. It's really up to you. You'll soon find out how many you can comfortably use, and continue to lose weight consistently.

Herdingcats - I'm about the same as you. I think I've lost about 1.3lbs (on average) per week. Obviously, I lost more weight, more quickly at the beginning, so, over the next year, I expect that that figure will drop to an average of 1lb a week, or even slightly less.

JennyPiccolo · 15/09/2011 08:19

Lost 4lbs this week! Makes up for my 1lb on last week.

clarabella18 · 15/09/2011 09:36

Looking for some help re eSource. My understanding if it is that you get a code from your meeting leader and sign up on line. It costs about £19 fir the first 3 months then £7 each month after. I understand it's an online resourse to help with your weightless alo gside attending the meeting.

I've asked my leader about this and she reckons this- the e-source can be purchased in my meeting by buying a Monthly Pass at £12.95 for the first month and thereafter £19.99 per month ie you get the first 4 weeks for £2.99 pw and thereafter £4.60 pw instead of £5.99 pw. The other e-source at £5.99 pw is the one for gold members.

Is she talking pants?

MrsWajs · 15/09/2011 10:03

No I think that's true clarabella thats what my leader told me anyway although I don't use monthly pass.

crumbletastic · 15/09/2011 11:07

Yep. I use monthly pass and that is the deal I had. Esource is free for monthly pass members and I couldn't do ww without it

androbbob · 15/09/2011 13:06

If you buy the monthly pass that includes your weekly meeting fee as well, so its not on top of the weekly fee - its instead of. I understood that you could not get esource unless you went to the meetings or joined the online subscription.

One pound on Wednesday Smile. I was hoping to progress a bit more quickly but I guess this way, the eating habits will really stick. It is forcing me to go back to menu planning which I had let slide and which I really need to do anyway as no time to fanny about in the evenings deciding what to have.

Does everyone use their 49 points on top of their daily allowance? I've had about 15 left each week so far as I've not always been sure of portion sizes - using online version so need PC to check but PC upstairs and food in the kitchen. Everytime I go on the PC the kids pester me to go on Sparkleworld Grin

Good luck everyone.

Littlefish · 17/09/2011 14:43

One pound is great changeforthebetter. If you lose 1 lb a week, it equates to about 4 stone in a year! Keep thinking about that, and 1lb will seem fabulous!
