New thread for us WW devotees.

Blondes is head honcho but is busy showing off her tan.

Me - I am the resident statistician - weekly updates for thread losses.

So jump on in and post away - we are having a summer challenge to keep us on track.

hi, can I join in on this thread? i re-joined WW last night and can't believe how much I've put on Sad I've tracked all day today but TBH I've had the day from hell in work and have already used 2 of my weeklys Sad Sad I know i hadn't planned anything properly but I already feel like giving up!

I won't but it just seems like a huge mountain at the moment.

androbbob · 08/09/2011 21:19

Park you non-weight goals here:

androbbob - new work trousers in a 14 by Dec
littlefish - concert dress in 2 sizes smaller for Dec

Copy the list and post yours on too!

blondes - take it easy and dont be too hard on yourself. You are back at the gym so take comfort from that and then ease back into the WW way of life. I too am one of the 'stress makes me pile on the weight' gang rather than the other way. Are you still WI or not bothering? That would be a start.

tinkgirl - dont panic - using 2 weeklies in one day is good going. On average you can have 7 a day in theory, so well done! We wont mention someone onthis thread that managed to use over 100 PP in a blow out - cant remember if it was one day or a weekend, but....

huffy - welcome!

yes still doing wi - gained 2 lbs last week making a stone in all :(

hopefully lost 1 lb tomorrow

and was also me that did think 137pp in one day - cocktails and tgi and yes i gained 2lbs that week

Willabywallaby · 09/09/2011 09:02

Just checking in 0.5lb loss this week, after no weigh in for 3 weeks and a 2 week holiday was quite pleased. Still not got back to goal but only 1lb over so better than the way it was creeping on.

I would now like to get a personal trainer for a month to tone up my wobbly bits.

blondes you've done so well to come this far, you know you can lose the weight again, as everyone says be kind to yourself. I would also say start with the exercise then reintroduce the PP. I'm amazed at how you counted up your 139PP I give up counting when I go out.

Welcome to the newbies, I would like to say I have found WW a good diet, couldn't do it without the classes myself though and found the iphone app really helpful.

Off to London for a girly weekend later, hoping not to gain too much Blush...apart from a new wardrobe Grin

notnearlyasblondasiwas · 09/09/2011 10:00

Hi everyone can i join you? Have rejoined WW on Tuesday after having DD2 7 weeks ago. Am starting at 17.5 Blush with an eventual goal of 12.12. Am BF DD so have 54 points to eat everyday. Am a bit sceptical that I will lose anything eating this much. My first goal is 5% = 16.6, hoping to do that by 25 Oct, around 7 weeks away. Is that realistic?

huffythethreadslayer · 09/09/2011 12:17

Hi everyone. Hope the diets are going well. I have to say I'm finding it much easier this time around than I did the last with WW. Mind you, I'm only on the third day, so it's not much of a testimony.

I'm 5ft 10, 15st 7lb and am obese. Everyone tells you you're not fat when you're tall and you fall for the crap sometimes. But I know by the pain in my knees, the shortness of breath at the least bit of activity and the fact that I can't buy clothes for love nor money, I'm obese.

I like WW cos I can eat what I like. I'm just cutting my portion sizes down and I'll see how it goes. I've got a decent goal...lose 2 and a half stones by the end of March next year. I'm off on hols and I want to be able to wear shorts without being ludicrously self conscious. I'm looking at starting the 0-5k thing with my mate, but I'm not a natural runner, so I'm not sure how that's gonna go! We'll see.

I hope everyone else is having a great week and has a successful weigh in. I'm just off to see what's best to eat for lunch today :)

tinkgirl · 09/09/2011 20:41

does anyone know how many PP are in sausage and chips from chippy???

Crap week in work and just couldn't face cooking Sad

herdingcats · 10/09/2011 10:57

Does anyone know if you have the Iphone app, do you have to connect to the internet everytime you want to log something? TIASmile
DH has said I can upgrade before we go on holiday (not now) and I won't bother if I have to do that as internet abroad is so expensive.
tinkgirl- retail fried chips 11PP per 165g portion and normal sausage grilled about 3-6PP each. So probably you are looking at 20PP + for that from the chippy

JennyPiccolo · 10/09/2011 15:15

Put on a pound this week and just had a fudge doughnut with cream in. Gawd! Thats the first time ive put on since i started. How can i stop from spiralling into a cake-swilling self sabotage?

HattiFattner · 10/09/2011 15:19

I too am on a cake-swilling self sabotage....back from hols on Sunday, having eaten my way through France. Started well, but gradually have done very very badly the rest of the week. Its not going to be pretty on Monday WI.

How do you get back on track after a couple of weeks binge eating?

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2011 15:59

lost a lb :)

huffythethreadslayer · 10/09/2011 16:59

Hurrah Blondes. Another 1lb nearer your goal then :)

I have been sick this week, so have eaten next to nothing for last 24 hours. Looking forward to getting my appetite back, but also looking forward to getting weighed on Tuesday!

changeforthebetter · 11/09/2011 09:20

Hello

I joined the online thing two weeks ago and lost three pounds the first week Smile but not an ounce this week Sad I did WW about 10 years ago and lost about two stone so am OK with the points and honest with myself about writing it down, planning ahead. WW seems better now - free fruit is good. I stuck to my daily allowance and didn't use up my extra as I was unsure about a couple of things I ate out so allowed for those. I've just done the measuements (not enjoyable Sad) so hopefully will see some loss there. So far, I've only noticed my bra strap is too loose - so I have saggy boobs but my jeans are really tight still.

I think a Sunday morning weigh-in might not be a good idea as Saturday is my "nice" day to use extra points on wine healthy nutritious extras. Any ideas if you can move the weighing day on the online plan? Smile

Vajazzler · 11/09/2011 10:27

Hi all hope everyone is doing ok on the plan. My weigh in day was Tuesday and I lost 3lbs this week. Are we still adding a Christmas goal? I want to get to 6stone loss by then.
To the person asking about the app ..... You do need Internet connection to count your propoints. If you don't have a connection it saves the info til you get one but doesn't add it up as you go without t'internet
Cake is my big downfall and it's my sons birthday today! Home made cake = uncontrollable urge to eat it!!!

TartyMcFarty · 11/09/2011 13:42

Right, I need a good talking to. I didn't lose anything on my first week back on WW, but that's because I ended up using all my weeklies on treats / at a BBQ last weekend, then had a horribly stressful week at work, and ended up comfort eating Angry

My usual trick is to come bounding along onto one of these threads, mess up in the first week, then disappear again. I'm not going to give up quite so easily this time, and I could do with a lottle bit of bossing around, if anyone's willing.

Anyway, I didn't lose, but at least I didn't gain Smile

Blondes, I feel pathetic posting this given your situation. Well done on losing this week.

TartyMcFarty · 11/09/2011 13:45

non-weight goal:

androbbob - new work trousers in a 14 by Dec
littlefish - concert dress in 2 sizes smaller for Dec
TartyMcFarty - TTC #2 with PCOS, so need to be lighter and fitter to stand a chance.

LolaLadybird · 11/09/2011 14:51

Hi All. 'Tis me - back after dropping off the radar for over 2 months. I decided back in July that I would just try and keep the weight off over the summer hols as would be too difficult to try and lose more. Amazingly I have done so even with 2 weeks in France thrown in. However my big problem now is that I severely sprained my ankle falling off a horse at the end of my hols and 3 weeks on it's still swollen and I'm still limping Sad. Most of the weight I lost previously came from doing a lot of exercise but its unlikely I'll be doing any for a while (have been told it will probably be 3-4 months before I can run again Shock). I've been so fed up that I've not given much thought to WW but a couple of pounds have crept on in the last fortnight and if I don't act now, I'm worried I'm going to find myself 2 months down the line having put back on the 17 lbs I've lost so far. So, I have declared tomorrow as being my first day back on the wagon (and hoping that doing it publicly on here will make me stick to it!).

Right, apologies for self-interested ramble - am going to go and re-acquaint myself with the WW website ...

LolaLadybird · 11/09/2011 14:55

Changeforthebetter - you can change your WI day on the online plan, just go to Settings (top right corner), Weight and Goals, and then click on Edit against WI day.

I changed a while back from a Tuesday to a Thursday as found it difficult to WI so soon after the weekend. Not sure it should make any real difference but seemed to help psychologically ...

JennyPiccolo · 11/09/2011 17:16

My non weight goal is to be wearing topshop jeans at dds birthday in november ( and hopefully before)

Littlefish · 11/09/2011 17:40

Changeforthebetter - When I started WW nearly a year ago, I lost 6lbs in my first week and then nothing in my second! I was gutted. I had absolutely followed the plan to the letter. I stuck with it though, and started losing weight again on week 3. Keep going! You can do it!

Vajazzler - well done on your 3lb loss. How much have you lost altogether?

TartyMcFarty - Consider this your stern talking to. You know that you can do this. You had a horrible week, but it's over now, and this week will be much better. Just write down everything you eat, as far as possible, plan your week so you know when the tricky points will be, and plan how you're going to get through them.

Lola - welcome back on the wagon. I managed to lose my first three stone without doing exercise. It is possible, but you will have to track carefully and possibly go without your weeklies. Sorry to hear about your poor ankle.

benbon · 11/09/2011 19:25

please help ive completely fallen off the ww bandwagen and cant get back on it... i can not stop eating and i mean junk.. put on 1/2 lb last week which i was pleased with as had 5 nights out in 1 week but this week im at home and just cant stop myself already used over 30 of my weeklies and wi is not till thursday!!! ate a whole bag of wine gums. had a maccy ds and fish and chips omg i cant beleive im letting myself down like this!! even now all i want to do is go eat the haribo in the fridge!!

Littlefish · 11/09/2011 19:47

Come on Benbon. You can do this.

Go and run a bath, light some candles and have a lovely long soak in the bath. Then, get out your photos and look back at your old "fat" photos. The Haribo really isn't that tasty.

Tomorrow is a brand new, shiny day. Tomorrow you will be in control. Go back to basics. Track, plan, weigh and track some more. You will feel so much better when you've had a day of sticking just to your daily points.

You know that you can eat well on just your daily points, so start planning tomorrow's menu now so that you know exactly what you're going to have for breakfast before you even walk into the kitchen tomorrow.

JennyPiccolo · 11/09/2011 19:50

It's so easy to fall off, benbon. Get out of the house and stretch your legs. I totally get where you're coming from. -holds hands in creepy way-

JennyPiccolo · 11/09/2011 19:51

What are we all eating tomorrow? I really need some inspiration.

Littlefish · 11/09/2011 20:14

For lunch, I'm having chicken with oven roasted veg (butternut squash, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes). (4 points)

For the evening, I'm making a beef stew in the slow cooker.

200g beef (each)
50g pearl barley (each)
Carrots
Tomatoes
Onions
Lots of black pepper
Thickened with flour
(13 points)

Leave it to cook all day - delicious!
