9st 9lb today ! ....Shock .

I cant actually believe that as ive not been sticking to the points .and so far this week ive had mcdonnalds , greggs sausage roll and hubbys fab chocolate cake ... wtf ?

I love this diet ! Grin , i dont care if im loosing very very slowly ...its working!

Littlefish · 25/08/2011 10:18

Thanks for posting Wynken. You're right, it is very frustrating. I feel rubbish today - I've had an IBS flare up which leaves me feeling incredibly bloated and constipated. I ate mostly fruit during the day yesterday, and then a WW meal in the evening. However, I had to make two chocolate cakes yesterday and ended up eating about 10 points worth of scraps! I still stayed within my points allowance, but it wasn't exactly the healthiest day's food!

I'll try and report in every day with an update.

Today's planned food:

Breakfast: Mullerlight with fruit - 2pp
Lunch: Courgette soup - 1pp, bagel - 5pp, wafer thin ham - 1pp
Supper - not sure yet!

I still feel very bloaty and need to eat a light diet today to give my body a chance to calm down. I'm also aiming to drink at least 2 litres of water today.

droves - well done! Please could you post a normal day's food so I can see what you eat?

herdingcats · 25/08/2011 10:21

STS this week ,not too bothered as I had a very erratic week last week all things considered. I am back on track now and am determined to keep suceeding.
Also agreed with my leader last night to be put forward to train as a leaderShock . Woke up this morning and now I'm terrifed I can't do it. Hmm
Well what wil be will be as they say.
Good luck everyone for this week

JennyPiccolo · 25/08/2011 11:49

Littlefish, if you only ever lose 3lbs a month, that's more than 2 stone a year. Which is definately better off than on. We all have days where we just scrape through and no more.

Littlefish · 25/08/2011 13:21

Thanks Jenny. The trouble is that it's been 3lbs over 3 months (ie. 1lb a month!) I've had a couple of holidays, plus a family bereavment etc. so really, I should be proud that I've managed to lose anything at all. Before I started WW, those occasions would have led to my eating being out of control, and putting on loads of weight. I know that like Wynken, things will be much easier once the summer holidays are over, and I'm back at work. I just won't be in the kitchen as much which will really help! Smile

benbon · 25/08/2011 14:37

lost 1lb this week.. bit gutted but onwards and upwards!

wizzler · 27/08/2011 09:18

Well done Benbob, Droves and Wynken

Littlefish, you have had a horrid 3 months, so its not surprising that your weight loss has slowed... you had other priorities. You have done well to lose anything at all. Keep going, you know you can do it, and you have a fantastic track record in the long term.

Just back from hols... a lovely bucket and spade time, playing lots of beach cricket with DS. Took grandma so DH and I even had a couple of rare evenings out. Hopefully the cricket will counter out the icecreams!

JennyPiccolo · 27/08/2011 19:48

Lost 4lbs this week after STS last week, getting there. Have just eaten loads of rubbish though. Chocolate, percy pigs, sausages, burgers. Was totally ashamed when counting it up but ive not done too much damage i think.

Furball · 28/08/2011 08:16

Yoohoo Littlefish!

Big picture remember! THINK - 4 stone gone since October - BIG OLE TICK. (and a gold star from me)

ok 3 lbs in 3 months means you have slowed down, but at least it was OFF not on.

You've had a (really shite) bereavement and now It's school holidays, so you have done amazingly well not to have put anything on.

Try reading your books again, read WW mags etc for ideas to re-spruce your brian brain. Wink

Google WW on t'interweb and have a read through of all the various different websites of other peoples weight losses and menu ideas.

Maybe pre write a whole weeks worth of menus with all new meals that you've never had before. Take it back to week 1

Write it ALL down here - we want to help you and if it makes you think before you eat whatever it is as you have to post it here - then thats a good thing right?

You can do it - I know you can, you just need to get back that spark and stick in there a wee while longer.

You have been an inspiration to me and loads on here, you should be proud. Smile

droves · 28/08/2011 14:44

poached egg is 2 pp ! Grin ....im so happy .... love poached egg !

veggi sausage is 2 points ! so can have sausage and eggs for brekki for less pp than museli and milk ....Grin.

anyone know what pp bacon is ? Hmm

seriously in diet nirvana now !

Littlefish · 28/08/2011 14:52
  • Thank you ladies, I mean really thank you, for your your lovely encouraging words.

Furball - I'm going to print off your check list and work my way through it. You're right, I definitely need to meal plan for a few weeks and include some new ones. I think I'm bored of my regulars at the moment, and it's making me crave different tastes. There's a new WW cookbook out this week - perhaps I'll splash out.

I've been away at my parents for the weeked for a big family party, but have tried really hard to point everything (mentally), and even ignored the treacle tart and eton mess, in favour of a bowl of plain strawberries. I'm really hoping for at least a pound off on Tuesday.....

droves - before you go mad on eggs, it depends what size eggs you're using! A medium egg is 2 points, but a large egg is 3. Bacon is 1pt per 25g slice (with no fat obviously).

DharmaLovesDraco · 28/08/2011 19:28

Hi all,

Can I ask, is this the new WW points thing? I used to do WW years ago and found it ok but I now need to lose a stone, I have tried eating healthily and cutting out rubbishy foods but have put on 2lbs instead Angry

I am thinking of doing it on-line, does anyone else here do this and does it work?

TIA

Littlefish · 28/08/2011 19:56

Breakfast: 1 slice toast with marmite, no butter plus bowl of strawberries. 2pp
Lunch: Tesco Teriyaki chicken noodles and pkt WW crisps. 8pp
Supper: Roast chicken, roast potatoes, butternut squash, carrots, broccoli in cheese sauce. 20pp

I get 34pp per day, so I'm slightly under today, but absolutely stuffed so I don't want to eat anymore.

Littlefish · 28/08/2011 19:57

Dharma - yes, it's the new pro points thingy. Some of us go to weekly meetings, and some of us do it online. Hopefully some of the on-liners will be along in a minute to let you know how they get on with it.

MrsWajs · 29/08/2011 22:01

Evening all, just checking in as back from my hols and have probably put on everything I'd lost before I went (7.5lbs)!!! Weigh day tomorrow so we'll soon see!

MrsWajs · 29/08/2011 22:02

Littlefish Do you want some more of us to write down a usual day to see if you can get any new ideas from that??

Littlefish · 29/08/2011 22:43

Oh yes please Mrswajs. That would be great.

androbbob · 30/08/2011 08:10

Morning all - back from my holidays - two week tour of the country - headed south and visited relatives for a cheapy holiday - spent a day at Legoland (not cheap!) and took 6 hours to get home (should have been 3.5 hours)

Anyway - back on the wagon today - yog and fruit for breakfast. Feeling flabby and fat after no gym for two weeks!

littlefish - take on board those wise words from whizzler - she talks such sense! Take your three months as a 'consolidation' phase and prepare to move on and complete your weightloss - you have come so far. I guess the past few months have been a challenge for you emotionally but you owe it to yourself and your health to do your best - you can do it! Chin up and face front!!

Now who is going to boss me around then - I reckon I have put on 3/4 of what I lost earlier this year. This was supposed to be a good summer with me being near goal but I am as far away as ever. Humph - maybe christmas will be my new goal!!

OP posts:
Littlefish · 30/08/2011 08:19

androbbob - I am very happy to boss you around Grin. Viewing the summer as a consolidation time is a very sensible idea. I think you should do the same. Now autumn is nearly here, it will remind us about forthcoming Christmas parties and the need for firmer bodies to squeeze into sparkly clothes. I've got a big event on 3rd December and will be working towards a fabulous new dress for that. Have you got a similar occasion coming up that your could focus on?

MrsWajs · 30/08/2011 10:13

Ok here goes - this is not a typical holiday day I might add!! That would be disasterous!!

I always start off with 3pp for half pint of skimmed milk if I'm having cereal and use that for maybe 2 cups of tea too.

Breakfast - weetabix 3pp, 1tsp sugar 1pp, fresh orange juice 1pp, banana 0pp.
Lunch - Toast 2 slices (WW malted danish) 2pp, Philadelphia light 50g 2pp, Tomato cup a soup 2pp, sugar free jelly 0pp, apple 0pp.
Dinner - Spaghetti Bolognaise, made with extra lean mince 250g 6pp, 150g cooked pasta 4pp, sauce is optional - a serving of dolmio would give you about 2pp but I sometimes make my own with passatta, garlic, onion, mushrooms etc all 0pp (so I can eat more pasta!!), a WW yogurt 1pp, strawberries 0pp.
Think that leaves 2 or 4pp depending on which sauce you use, so I wuld use that for a bit of chocolate in the evening, I like cadburys caramel 1pp per piece!

Obviously as you've said you have more points to eat than that per day, so you could maybe have snacks in between or make your portion sizes a bit bigger? I know the ww bread isn't the greatest but I use it so I can get more for my pp!! I'm a greedy guts! :)

rushingrachel · 30/08/2011 10:14

Hello ladies. Can I join you ... I signed up to WW last week and have my first weigh in this lunchtime.

16 years ago I lost LOADS of weight with WW and had the time of my life being slim. Over the years and through 2 pregnancies the weight has been creeping back on. My favourite food groups being cheese, bacon and wine doesn't help. But then the other day I went to visit potential daycare for DS2 who is 6 months and the lady in charge offered to help me get the shoe covers on. She said very sympathetically "I know it's hard towards the end of pregnancy". Now I know I'm not skinny but I thought I carried the weight ok and dressed well. The idea that I actually look 8 months pregnant is very humiliating. And makes me wonder what I looked like when I was actually 8 months pregant!! So fired with shame I went straight to WW.

I'm hoping that I can do what I did all those years ago again ... and haven't found the first week hard. It'll be sticking to it when the healthy shame wears off that will be harder.

MrsWajs · 30/08/2011 10:15

Sorry that should be 125g of mince and not 250!!

droves · 31/08/2011 13:36

Thanks little fish , for the info about eggs ! .

Been very naughty and went to pizza hut yesterday and had

nachos and cheese (sharing plate)

4 slices of meat feast type pizza

and a cookie dough desert ! Blush

Think i used up all the weeklies and my daily allownce at lunch .

Knew i was going so , had little cerial and skimmed milk at brekkie and couldnt face having dinner.

Oh well , start again today ! Grin
today ive had shreddies - 4 points , semi -skimed milk -2 points , small banana 0 points , green tea 0 points ...and lots and lots of water Smile

Lunch ive just had mexican rice 11 points , and some apple 0 points.

For dinner , ive planned to have salad and some wafer thin ham and a poached egg (yummy) .

And ive got a pre made fruit salad for pudding .

still got 3 points to use ...can i just skip them and hope it goes against yesterdays munching disaster ? or do i have to use them ?

Vajazzler · 31/08/2011 15:55

Hooooray for me! At weigh in last night, I'd lost 2.5lbs, which FINALLY gets me to my 4 stone half way point. Grin

It was quite funny really; I stood on the scales, and I had lost 2lbs. The scales flicked between two numbers and finall settled on the higher number, so I rushed off to the loo (again), had another wee, took off my wedding and engagement rings, and got weighed again. Miraculously, the final half pound had gone. Grin Grin. Who knew that rings could be so heavy Wink!

Vajazzler - you've had very good weightloss so far. Congratulations!

Unfortunately, I've just come back from Nandos, so I'm just off to try and work out the points for that! It wasn't even that nice.
