I can no longer kid myself that I am just curvy and happy about it .

I am happy at a small size 14 and I am now a large size 16 .

Does anybody want to join me in some mutual arse kicking to keep on track ?

My plan is to just eat less and move more .

I have tried low carbing in the past and it did work but I just couldn't keep it up for long .

I have also done ww before which did work longer term but I can't get to my local meetings anymore .

Please feel free to join in and tell me to stop eating rubbish and being a lazy sod .

morning! not had the best start to day, thank fully not food wise! Made myself a healthy salad and pack up for the kids as have to take them to work with me,. In our rush this morning ive gone and forgotten all pack up and drinks and have had to spend a small fortune in morrsions to provide food for 3 of us until tea time! Ive ended up with crackers and light cheese spread!

I was good and didnt get onscales this morning, think i may put them in DHs car!
travelling ui think kits probably pooh weight too!
found i think chicken tikka is quite good but obviously it doesnt have any sauce so may be a bit dry?! also go for bolied rice. I think the one with the tomatoes is it rogan josh or bhuna, isnt too bad too as the sauce is mainly tomato and veggie based!
messie our sons must be about the same age as ds is two beginning of july!
right better go and stop the kids trashing my shop!

Thank you all , I think I will stick to the once a week weighing thing . Or never until I have had a poo Wink

FW Tandoori chicken is good when you are on a diet , it comes with salad and cucumber raita . I like it anyway but it is loads healthier than an actual curry .

lydia that is really tedious , will they last until tomorrow ? If so at least the silver lining is you don't have to worry about lunches then .

Huge round of applause for messy

I have been given a huge punnet of blackcurrants which is all well and lovely but what am I going to do with them ? Any ideas ?

Woohoo!!!
Shred session done Smile DD was snoozing & woke up just after I'd done it!!
I feel like I can now do alot more- got me pumped up!! But I best not as I've got dreaded night shift Sad so better take it easy Wink

tibni · 23/06/2011 13:15

Well done tinker on the Shred. I have the DVD and do try and fit it in but have never actually done 30 days unbroken.

Went to the gym this morning and managed a 5k run (in an ok time) and a 2k row plus a bit of cross training. Am eating a salad before I go to work. I have fruit in my bag for this evening. I know my manager is bringing goodies in today so I will have to be strong and resist.

FoundWanting · 23/06/2011 13:58

Thanks. I'll try to pick carefully. Just hope the alcohol doesn't influence me. Grin

Very impressed by you all this morning. Well done.

tinker316 · 23/06/2011 14:04

I think I will only do the shred 5 times a week & try 2 get a run/gym session in a week.
Think u need a break 4 ur body 2 rest, so I will b resting at the wkend- even tho I'm working 12hrs Saturday & 8hrs Sunday Sad

messybessie · 23/06/2011 14:44

Hurrah Trin, you found us Grin

Lunch went badly but not disastrous. We had Lebanese. Falafel, salad, halloumi and humous. I tried to load up on salad but I think I'm about to find out that houmous is not a diet food. Blush

At least we didn't go for burger and chips.

tinker316 · 23/06/2011 15:24

Are we doing weekly weigh ins??

travellingwilbury · 23/06/2011 15:56

I have had a good day so far , eaten well and I have got fresh fish for dinner so should be ok . Have done half hour on the wii and I am going to order zumba tomorrow .

tinker I am going to weigh on a tuesday I think . I would presume some will say how much they have lost and keep their weight to themselves and others will be happy to say what they weigh .
Well done on doing the shred again today , I think I will start off with the zumba first for a while . I don't want to scare myself into giving up .

messy that sounds like a lovely lunch , it doesn't sound too bad health wise to me .

Welcome Trin make yourself comfy .

tibni that is a hell of a morning , is that normal for you ? I would be pooped .

Can I join?

I have an 8 week old baby and the extra couple of stone that he came with. Obviously, I don't have the time to cook fancy meals, but am looking for a sensible meal plan. I used to swim/gym/bike most days (one of the three, not all in one day) but just can't manage that with the baby! I went to the gym today and weighed myself -a rather chunky 10stone 10lbs for my 5ft3.

Does anyone have a recommended meal plan they've followed?

tibni · 23/06/2011 21:36

trevellingwilbury - before I started my new job I was exercising at that level 4-5 times a week. With the new job I struggled to make time for exercise and grabbed quick, often junk food. I guess I wanted to try and keep on top of family life and keep the house clean and something had to give. I guess im just trying to get the balance back.

tinker316 · 23/06/2011 23:08

Will do my weigh in when I have finished work in 8-9 hours timeWink

tinker316 · 24/06/2011 06:52

Morning!!
Weight 2day- 64kgs

messybessie · 24/06/2011 06:56

Yesterday not so good but pleased I didn't then just go off the rails completely.

As predicted - my lovely lunch tipped me right over my daily allowance - but I'm allowed extra treat points for the week and it used half of those.

Just need to stay on the straight and narrow for the rest of the week now Grin.

Have day at home with DS2 today so might put him in the bike seat and go for a spin if the weather stays nice.

messybessie · 24/06/2011 06:57

Caringforpod, I've signed up for Weightwatchers online which I really like as you don't have to follow a strict meal plan (which I'm not very good at).

travellingwilbury · 24/06/2011 08:22

Morning , still on track here . I am out working today till after two so that should keep me occupied and away from the snacking .

I have got a stinky cold which is a bit grim and not fair . I decide to get all healthy and end up feeling like shite .

Onwards and upwards , good luck for today everyone .

Still on track here also. Going to have an easy session at the gym then drop by the supermarket and grab some more salad and healthy things to keep me going over the weekend.

Hope you all have a good day.

MumPotNoodle · 24/06/2011 08:35

Lost 2lb this week Grin.

FoundWanting · 24/06/2011 09:47

Well done, MumPotNoodle what a good start. Grin

Poor you, travelling - the plus side is that you won't be able to taste anything anyway so hopefully you won't be tempted by the wrong foods.

Lovely to see lots of new people on the thread. Is some one doing a list? I think fearnelinen offered earlier.

Well, I survived the mummy's curry night. Grin Nine years of school gate stuff and it is the first time I've been invited into a group - and what a lovely group. They've all known each other for 4 years or so, but DS2 only joined this school last September and they've made us all so welcome. Had a really good time. I had Chicken Shobji (new one to me) chicken and vegetables in a tomato based sauce - really tasty and pretty low carb I think.

Have a good day everyone.

lydiathetattooedlady · 24/06/2011 10:50

Im ashamed to say ive still not managed any 'proper' exercise yet apart from walking!

tinker316 · 24/06/2011 12:21
