You lot! Over 'ere! Sorry for taking liberties with the previous thread: I am no good with suspense, and it was like looking at a gigantic throbbing pustulating boil and not being able to squeeze it

Bum bottoms titwank arsehole shistain Sad

I'm SO mizz. I have ROTTEN PMT, my belly is IMMENSE, there is NO CHANCE of a loss tomorrow even though i have been SO good, I am all pre-period worn out and achy, and I have SUGAR CRAVINGS and because I can't have any lovely PMT choc I have just eaten about 4 handfuls of honey nut shredded wheat, I'm in a BLACK HOLE of studying and paperwork and I can't even BASTARD WELL cheer myself up with a curry.

bollocking bumsocks.

PAH!

AlpinePony · 31/05/2011 17:06

Susie orbach would say eat the curry if it's what you want. If you don't you will eat more puffs, a lump of cheese, 2 slices of toast a spoonful of nutella and so on and none of those things will hit the spot.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 31/05/2011 17:17

Hmmm I would also say have the sodding curry if it makes you feel better.

but then I have prob gained this week..

Well done Weblette
I'm impresseds with all the exercise nora

If people can PM me their stats by 5pm tomorrow I'll publish the list at 5.30. Can't do it any later as I'm out for the evening....

BlooferLady · 31/05/2011 17:44

But it's having curry when I'm mizz that means I'm a big fat fatty bo batty! Ach, well. I'm having baked salmon and green veg and raspberries. Hear that? That was the weary sigh of the martyr. THe only thing keeping me going is that we always have TREATS on the DoD and we're going out for the day, and shall eat Things of Niceness godammit.

I too am impressed by all this exercise...I can't seem to bring myself to leave the house long enough to do any at the moment, which cannot be helping either my mood or my arse!

Muser · 31/05/2011 17:57

Make the salmon tandoori salmon, bet there's a recipe out there. Then bask in your virtuousness.

Today I have eaten: muesli with added grated apple and milk (HEB & A), beans on toast (HEB) with cheese (HEA), 2 x Alpen light bars (check syns), strawberry milk (HEA + syns for strawberry crusha)

Dinner is going to be fish I think. With big grilled mushrooms, salad and couscous. And then strawberries for afters.

I've started ordering a veg box again and first one arrived today. Mushrooms, fennel, toms, mixed salad, carrots, apples and strawberries. Lovely.

Muser · 31/05/2011 19:12

I am a copycat and am now having salmon too. And I ache from exercising today, I had to do squats!

mummynoseynora · 31/05/2011 19:27

I wouldn't be impressed with the exercise gals - I have eaten mountains of shite to make up for it.... none of alpines healthiness for me I am afraid Confused I am the stereotypical eat dominos = get lardy lady type Grin Blush Hmm

kid · 31/05/2011 19:31

I've a 45 minute aerobics class tomorrow night and a 45 minute bootcamp class the night after. I figured that as I punish myself so much at the gym, I might as well sort out what I eat too.

I'm having fish tonight too, tinned tuna and pasta Grin

mummynoseynora · 31/05/2011 19:47

wowsa, now THAT is exercise KID!

stinkypinky · 31/05/2011 20:27

DH has had an eventful week - won slimmer of week, month, and nearly lost 4st in total. Oh, and he also quit his PHD after 3 years 8 months Confused

Feeling a bit lost and wondering where life is going... Have not stuck to plan, but am back on board again. At least my food intake is something I can control.

kid · 31/05/2011 20:51

stinkypinky stick with what you can control, with the rest, just go with the flow for now!

mummynoseynora I have been doing bootcamp for about 9 weeks and this will be my 3rd week at aerobics. Its about time people started to notice!

AlpinePony · 01/06/2011 06:20

stinkypinky Shock Does he need anti-depressants? I've had a few friends drop out a few years in due to depression. Is the door still slightly ajar should he change his mind? :( I hope you're OK, it all sounds very traumatic.

I'm just about to send my DOD results to cheesey - it's been a good week but to pre-empt any "bad feelings" it's just the loss of everything I put on over the last few weeks rather than a "brand new loss". cheesey asked me last week whether I wanted a new ground zero or to continue - the question was superfluous as the numbers were equal. Blush

It's cherry season w00t! So I stopped by a farm on the way home last night and picked up a kilo for 4 euros and they are DE.licious! Last year my premature baby put a spanner right in my cherry season works. Wink

B: greek yoghurt, kiwis, cherries
L: roasted beetroot (in honey/olive oil/balsalmic), goat's cheese, cous-cous
D: dahl (no rice), cherries, cherries & more cherries

In another marvellous discovery, some of the weeds I had yet to get around to yanking up have sprouted strawberries! So ladies, go easy on the gardening, the weeds might actually be flahrz (a la Eliza) and the dust might actually be harbouring a cure for cancer. Try not to scupper the advancement of society with your Dyson. n.b., a small child in pyjamas makes an excellent "swiffer".

AlpinePony · 01/06/2011 06:22

PS Squats are the biz! Grin Does anyone else have any trouble with lunges? I find it very hard to keep my balance and I think it's because I'm thunderous of thigh and very hippy (not in a woo way).

BlooferLady · 01/06/2011 08:21

HAPPY DAY OF DOOM EVERYONE

Oooo hurrah for all things soft-fruit-related! I want an entire big bowl of cherries now please thank you .

Well done on the loss Pony - looks like you're already on the right path. I see you are now in a cous-cous frenzy Grin

Kid BOOTCAMP?! Shock Wow! Right, that's it. Tomorrow I am going to blow the dust off my trainers and get back to the gym.

1.5lb loss here. I keep muttering 'hare and the tortoise, hare and the tortoise' Grin. Actually, I am really pleased - i do have shocking PMT and had a horrid feeling there might be a gain. Also this week I have been completely sedentary so it's a miracle I've lost anything.

Also also also - because I gained 1lb at Easter right at the beginning of this venture, I have now lost just over half a stone, so I'd get a sticker if this was SW!

I have this Big Fancy Dress Party on 11 June and I would hope by then to be into the 14s and to have lost almost a stone, so here's hoping (so long as I get dahn t'gym).

Good luck all and thanks to our Cheesy for being this week's lister

BlooferLady · 01/06/2011 08:23

Stinky, I'm so sorry about your DH chucking in the PhD - obviously, I know how that feels, none better. Is there anything that can be said to persuade him otherwise? It would be such a crying shame to waste all that work Sad. Can I ask what his subject is, broadly?

OP posts:
BlooferLady · 01/06/2011 08:34

Ooo, food today - well just had my usual saintly yog & cereal but I am studying this morning and then that great natural phenomenon is occurring - the OM and I will both be off work on a sunny day awake at the same time. We are therefore going for a Smashing Day Out and I am going to eat what I damn well like, thank you .

I have to say my DoD 'day off' is what is saving me - whenever I get mizz because I can't have what I like (viz. yesterday) it's only ever a day or so until I can, and that helps my state of mind mahoosively...

OP posts:
obrigada · 01/06/2011 09:34

Morning all, got weighed last night, lost 1lb, total of 3lb after 3 weeks Hmm Aw well at least it is heading in the right direction :)

grinningbee · 01/06/2011 09:35

Morning!

Can I ask what info is needed as it's the first DOD today. Starting weight? Amount of lardage I want to lose?

Food for today:
Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast again
Vegetable pasta bake
Yogurts and fruit for snacks

Yesterdays sweet chilli chicken was gorgeous, and today the whole place smells strongly of garlic. It punches you in the face when you open the fridge where the leftovers are!

Grin
BlooferLady · 01/06/2011 09:43

Well done Ob! You can be a tortoise like me. Tortoises are cute and live longer than hares Grin

Bee I give weight lost this week, total weight lost, and original weight (er, I think). You don't have to give your actual weight but it does help motivate, I think. And if I can do it as one of the heaviest, you can Wink

Somewhere up thread there'll be a Big Fat List and you can see what folk have put. Good luck!

Hedgepig · 01/06/2011 09:44

Morning, Bloof you have been busy posting this morning, well done on your loss and enjoy your day out.

kid how was the spinach cannelloni? it looks lovely in the magazine.
stinky a crying shame about DH and his PhD, it is bloody hard to keep going with it, took me about 10 yrs to regain my sanity after mine, although some of my friends would debate if I have ever regained it Grin.
pony I have no balance either (probably my ridiculous norkage toppling me over Grin) I have started this exercise class which has a lot of core stability work in it and I am over the the place while the other class members are gracefully lunging and balancing.

Today's food:
B. 1 shredded wheat and 1 fruity ryvita (HEB). Melon and natural Yog.
L. Rice salad with turkey and bacon
D. probably fish pie of some description Confused

BlooferLady · 01/06/2011 09:46

Hedge, my posting frequency is directly linked to the amount of study I'm not doing! Glad to hear there is a chance of getting some of my sanity back, even if it'll be a decade hence...

OP posts:
obrigada · 01/06/2011 09:57

Love the tortoise and hare analogy Bloofer, although it would be great if the tortoise could move a bit faster Wink

kid · 01/06/2011 09:57

I didn't do the cannelloni last as dh didn't get home till 8pm so I had to dinner for kids at 6, then dh's dinner for him do I had pasta and tuna instead. I think I'll make it tonight. Wonder if I can freeze it?

my bootcamp class consists of using the step, weights, running, jumping, sit-ups and stretches.
I want to try a circuit class as they give an all over body conditioning. My gym is great, it's £15 a month (no contract) and that includes most of the classes.

grinningbee · 01/06/2011 09:58

Right. You can pick whichever bits out of this that are useful then!

Starting weight 15st 11.5lb
Weight lost this week - 0 (cos I is just starting this week Grin)
Want to lose - Overall I should lose at least 6 stone, maybe even 7, but will focus on the first 3 to start with.
I am only 5ft 3 so you can imagine I am pretty weeblish.

It's not the heaviest I ever was. My worst was 17st 9.5lb, and that wasn't even with the excuse of being 9 months pregnant. Mind you, it was a horrific year.

So there you go. Pick which bits are useful!

P.S I am sharing my actual weight cos I know you lot won't take the pee, and you will give me a firm kick up the fat folds if I start to lose momentum Smile

Cheeseandbiscuits · 01/06/2011 09:59

Congrats alpine and bloofer. fab news. Lost 1lb myself, dead pleased, though it may all be poo!

stink why has he jacked it in? All that hard work...

Tonight I have my first girls night out in about 6 months! Can't wait to have a few hours away from DD and talk nonbaby chat. However, it is in a pub so can't guarantee I'll stick to healthy food but can guarantee I'll drink plenty of wine hooray! So, tonight, the diet is going in the bin!

Food:
b: branflakes fruit and yog (heb)
l: salad
dinner out. Will try and have fish or something.
