Hope it's OK that I've started this new thread, but the old one is now full! Not sure if my entry went on the old one, but anyhoo - let's keep going people! Here's to eating tasty healthy food, finding and sticking with exercise we enjoy and getting fitter, stronger & hopefully slimmer! xx

iluvcake, yes it is Jillian (no surprise there!). 6 Week 6 Pack. I don't do it daily for 6 weeks though, I just use it to vary things. There are 2 levels, I really like L1. Have attempted pathetically done L2 once, and it was VERY VERY VERY VERY hard and I haven't plucked up the courage to give it another go yet Blush. Sounds like you're doing really well on your diet (crunchie incident not withstanding Smile).

ooh thanks Knotty, will have a look at that-stomach area being my main gripe!

Shaxx · 19/05/2011 11:25

iluv low carb definitely works for me and really, I should never eat bread as it triggers overeating in me. So I try to avoid wheat as well not always successfully!) but I really need lentils, rice, potatoes etc even if its only in one meal a day. It seems to be going very well for you though :)

Knotty and Jam well done on the exercise.

I've arranged to stay over with a really good friend this Sat. I'm so excited but a bit apprehensive at the same time as its the first time I'm staying away from the kids.
We've been close since uni but I got married and had kids, and she hasn't met the right guy yet so we've not spent much time together as our lives were so different (she lives on the other side of London too) although we're always in touch by phone.
I'm so looking forward to it and doubt very much I'll be sticking to my allowance :)

I've had porridge today, got soup for lunch and not sure about dinner as we may be eating out. Hopefully circuits this eve.

Hi everyone,

iluvcake well done on your loss. Crunchies are actually a really good choc bar to eat, because they only have 185 calories. Things like galaxy and dairy milk have about 240. Fry's choc cremes are also lowish (205). When i went on a diet the first thing I did was check out the calorie content of my fav choc bars. Am scared to look at how many are in Baileys though!

Have been okay with food today. Had 2 ryvitas with a little peanut butter and a low fat yoghurt for breakfast. Have just had some pineapple and might have some soup. Dinner is steamed fish and asparagus. Will naturally have a choc bar somewhere in there too, no doubt.

Not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. On the bright side, I find i can get into a few of my old clothes. I am not slim enough to actually wear them yet, but am pleased to be able to get some of them on.

Guitargirl · 20/05/2011 07:27

Hello everyone, am back again. Have been lurking - everyone is doing so well - this thread is a real inspiration, especially on the exercise front.

Ok, so at Easter I weighed in at the heaviest I have ever been, had a very good week food-wise the following week and lost 5 lbs and then a very bad one and promptly put the 5 lbs straight back on again...am sure this yo-yoing cannot be healthy...

Anyway, have been in the zone since then and over the last 11 days have lost 8 lbs. So, I desperately need to keep going now and not let it all go to pot again.

Good luck everyone for the WI today!

fedupofnamechanging · 20/05/2011 07:30

8lb is amazing Guitargirl, well done.

Have lost 2lb this week, so am thrilled after my measly loss last week of 4oz. Am nearly at my half way mark now.

Hope everyone else has a good weigh in today x

dinkystinky · 20/05/2011 08:55

Well done Guitargirl amd Karma. According to the scales this morning I have put 5lbs on Shock- fairly sure that's not right as clothes fit (and would be feeling tight if had put that much on). But still, back into the zone with me. Bah humbug.

Good luck other zoners for your WIs today

justaminute · 20/05/2011 09:19

Fab news Guitargirl. & karma. Bah humbug indeed Dinky ? I know that feeling oh so well. However, I?m not complaining this week as I have lost my yo- yo 2lb again. The challenge is not to put it back on again next week.

Yesterday was a bit of rubbish food day. I had to have a filling on Wednesday Sad. The numbness from the injection lasted AGES. I took comfort in a box of magnums and didn?t eat much else so I was sort of within my calorie allowance. Not really a balance diet me thinks but it was nice Smile. Back to the zone again for me today too.

LadyBuzz · 20/05/2011 09:24

Wow guitargirl thats a great loss, well done you.

karma well done to you too.

dinky don't lose heart, it might come straight back off again next week.

1lb off for me this week Smile

LadyBuzz · 20/05/2011 09:25

x-post well done JAM

Shaxx · 20/05/2011 09:38

Well done Guitargirl, Karma and JAM
Dinky have your scales become faulty? If nit, its probably a fluctuation that will sort itself out in a week.

I've lost 2.5lbs!!! Thats the most in ages!

I'm late for meeting my friends so will check in again later.

iluvcake · 20/05/2011 09:47

Hi Guitargirl! And well done-that is impressive!

Well done Karma!

Dinky, that cannot be right?Hmm. Are you sure your scales aren't going a bit bonkers?!! As you say, you would be able to tell. Am sure that will correct itself for next week.

I started my "17 day diet" on Monday afternoon and have lost 3.5lbs. Overnight I had put on half a pound so a bit annoyed about that as was hoping it would be 4-5lbs but I am very pleased so far, am feeling slimmer and much less bloated. Still not quite over my sugar cravings atm but am feeling healthier with all the lovely food I'm eating.

I had an incident with some tuc biscuits and a creme egg yesterday so that could be why the half pound went on but the day before I had a crunchie and a bit of wine and it made no difference to my loss (as you can probably tell, I've been weighing myself every dayBlush)-so not sure what's going on there.

Will keep going for the next week.

Good luck all today! Will check in later to see how everyone else has done!

p.s. What's happened to thinbride? Sad

iluvcake · 20/05/2011 09:50

Shaxx, Lady Buzz and JAM well done! Great losses this week! JAM, a sweet treat is always in order after a trip to the dentist-especially after a filling!

Guitargirl · 20/05/2011 09:53

Well done everyone - great losses!

Dinky - that can't be right, I managed to put 5lbs on in a week a couple of weeks ago but that was no surprise to me because I was eating like there was no tomorrow. There must be a blip on your scales. Try it again tomorrow morning?

iluvcake - that's very impressive since Monday, you will be ready for your hols in no time!

LadyBuzz · 20/05/2011 10:03

I got some new scales yesterday so weighed myself on the wii this morning then checked the scales, In the bathroom i'm 12 stone, in the bedroom 10 and on the landing 9st 10 so in future i'll be weighing myself on the landing because i'm at my target weight there Grin I still haven't found anywhere that they are right though Hmm

dinky you haven't moved the scales this week have you?

Well done shaxx & iluvcake

justaminute · 20/05/2011 10:17

OMG Ladybuzz. I weigh myself in the bathroom. I?m desperate to dash home from work now to weigh myself on the landing! Grin

knottyhair · 20/05/2011 10:34

Morning. Wow, what amazing results Smile! Congrats to Guitargirl, Karma, JAM, LadyBuzz, Shaxx and iluv Smile Smile Smile. Dinky, must be your scales surely!! JAM, hope your tooth is OK. I've lost 1.75lbs so pretty pleased given my weekend of chicken pie, cake, bread & butter and no exercise. Just did a NMTZ (surrenders are VERY hard for me). But did enjoy it even though it's 50 mins and I'm used to 20 min Shreds Blush. Had toasted sourdough with a little bit of butter & marmite for breakfast. Soup for lunch, and out to Pizza Express with the girls for my birthday (not until Monday but I like to start hang on to the birthday baton for as long as possible Grin. Planning on a Leggera but will share some doughballs and probably have a couple of glasses of wine - sometimes it's just got to be done. Have a lovely day xx

fedupofnamechanging · 20/05/2011 11:43

Pizza express do some 500 calorie pizzas (basically the middle is replaced with salad). Is that a Leggera?

knottyhair · 20/05/2011 12:02

Yes, karma, it is. I'm already looking forward to it, sad old person that I am Grin.

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 20/05/2011 12:41

Have fun at Pizza Express Knotty - a girl has to let her hair down sometimes (especially when celebrating her birthday in advance!)

knottyhair · 21/05/2011 18:15

Evening! Hope you're all having good days. Had a lovely evening last night, but 1 prosecco, 2 wines and a late night means I felt a bit "jaded" this morning. Ended up going to Hever Castle with DP & DS and had a lovely day in the sunshine. Very lazy though - we got a rowing boat out on the lake and I let them do all the work! Had a ham salad sandwich for lunch, but then a strawberry ice-cream, and we've ordered Chinese for tea!

dinkystinky · 23/05/2011 09:57

Happy Birthday Knotty! Hope you have an excellent day!

Its been v quiet over the weekend - hope all are good.

fedupofnamechanging · 23/05/2011 09:58

Happy Birthday Knotty x

knottyhair · 23/05/2011 10:01

Thanks Dinky! Nice to be 21 again Wink. Have started the day with a Level 3 Shred, but also buttered toast to make up for it Grin. Celebrated over the weekend really although I did get 2 lovely home-made cards from DS and my arty friend made me a filthy one involving someone milking a cow - I won't elaborate! Soup for lunch and roasted veg pasta tonight. Hope everyone is OK xx
