Welcome back Guitargirl - I say you are allowed to let loose on holiday. Hope you had a good time.

Ladybuzz and Shaxx, well done you losers. Wink

At long last I can report a loss Smile and it's a big one Grin. 3lb off! Need to keep it off and more for next week now. I'm just contemplating whether to shred or go for a run but really I want to crack open the wine and get cooking my green chicken curry I'm staaaaarving!

Dinky - hope work allows you back in the zone and kicking our butts on Monday.

Shaxx · 15/07/2011 20:33

WOOHOO Jam! About time too Grin
Keep doing what you've been doing. Thats a brill loss.

iluvcake · 16/07/2011 00:21

WELL DONE JAM! That's brilliantSmile!

thedogwalker · 16/07/2011 16:28

Well done to all the losers, especially JAM that's a great loss, so happy for you.

Sorry to hear work is manic Dinky, I hope things improve for you this week and you can get back in the zone.

I've had a week of travelling, visiting family, so not been in the zone, eating crappy food and it totm so not bothered weighing myself this week. My clothes still feel good, not any thighter, so didn't want to spoil the illusion by weighing myself and knowing that I've piled on the lbs Hmm. Should be ok by next week [sighing hopefully].

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, take care xx

dinkystinky · 16/07/2011 20:18

Hurrah for such a great loss JAM! Am v proud of you.keep up the good work. Went to see Dylan Moran last night - he is a very funny man and a crush object of mine for well over a decade now. Last saw him play live 15 years ago! At mil for her 65th birthday bash - and still being hounded by work - so fear will be out of the zone this weekend still. Ho hum.

LadyBuzz · 16/07/2011 22:18

Well done JAM thats fab!

Whoever first mentioned Choc chip snack-a-jacks I think i might love you Grin

They are delicious and most definately satify my chocolate craving most of the time!

thedogwalker · 17/07/2011 08:25

I've joined MFP, my username is fovantmum if anyone would like to become my friend as I look awfully lonely on there Sad. But you musn't laugh, I joined yesterday and had a day out of the zone Hmm.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

Shaxx · 17/07/2011 10:44

TDW will add you when I log in next - hope you've got a pic up Grin

Dinky Enjoy mils birthday bash and hope work gets lless frantic.

Ladybuzz I agree about those snack a jacks. They are nice. Unfortunately my family think so too so scoff them!

I had a good day yesterday but di d no exercise. We went ou for a meal yesterday and I made some good healthy choices (chicken and salad) and had no dessert!

I'm hoping to low carb today and have a spinning class at 6.30. I'n the meantime, I'm doing a big declutter of the house and a tidy up.
Its amazing what a difference it makes.

knottyhair · 17/07/2011 11:22

Morning! Had a quick read through - well done to all the losers! Sounds like there's lots of zoning going on Smile ! TDW, I've added you on MFP! Beautiful photo! Well, had a fab week in Devon, so lucky with the weather, first bit of rain was Friday lunchtime. Managed 3 Shreds only (we were in a 1st floor apartment so had to do it by the side of the indoor pool whilst DS had an early morning swim - bloody roasting hot in there though! We did a couple of walks and tried to make good choices at meal times without being a complete killjoy, and did have a couple of lovely ice-creams and shared a cream tea - lush! Have put on 1lb so I'm quite pleased with that. Back to it now as only 5 weeks until next holiday. Did L1 6W6P this morning. Soup for lunch and some sort of chicken stir-fry with noodles for tea. Will try to have a better read through later. Have a good day xx

thedogwalker · 17/07/2011 13:11

Knotty only 1lb on, that's great when you've been on holiday, well done you for being good with the food and also your dedication to the shredding.

knottyhair · 18/07/2011 08:21

Morning all. I've managed to develop a tummy bug since yesterday afternoon, still feel "odd" this morning. Had toast for tea last night and can only stomach toast, honey & weak tea this morning. No way am I doing any exercise, but don't feel like eating much either at the moment. Will try to take it easy today and hopefully be back to normal tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good day x

OP posts:
dinkystinky · 18/07/2011 14:55

Oh no Knotty poor you Sad Hope you feel better soon. Try and get lots of water down you and stick to bland boring food until you feel 100%.

Managed to get to bodycombat today - was good to exercise for first time in a week. Feel enforced last week out of the zone due to work has certainly taken its toll.

knottyhair · 18/07/2011 15:10

Thanks Dinky, although unfortunately I do feel a lot better and am wanting to pick at food! Trying to be mindful about my picking....

OP posts:
Shaxx · 18/07/2011 18:30

Hi Knotty. Glad you had a good week in Devon and well done for a gain of a miniscule lb! Glad you're feeling better too.

Dinky well done on Bodaycombat. Has work calmed down now?

I had a good day today for the diet but no exercise.
I'm really tired as dh set his alarm for 5 for some unknown reason. I went back to sleep but felt really groggy when my alarm went off at 6. Think I'll have an early night.

Anyone have any good tv recommendations? Now that the Apprentice and Desparate Housewives is finished my sky planner seems to be rather empty.

knottyhair · 18/07/2011 19:05

Ta Shaxx! Actually feel a bit funny again now. Can't face the planned roasted veg pasta, just want a fish finger sandwich! As for TV, we're liking "Falling Skies" on FX, and "Big Love" on Sky Atlantic although it's just coming to the end of Season 2 - do you do Love Film? If you do, it's worth getting the box set. Ooh and Dexter! There's a new series starting tomorrow at 9pm on BBC 2 which is meant to be good as well - The Hour. HTH.

OP posts:
Shaxx · 18/07/2011 19:22

Thanks Knotty! I caught a glimpse of Big Love the other day and thought it looked good. I always come across these series too late.
Will check out Falling Skies and The Hour too.
All this is just to pass time, of course, til my real love is back on screen - True Blood......

Shaxx · 18/07/2011 19:24

Enjoy your fish finger sandwich. Is the sicky feeling it coming in waves? You may have some mild food poisoning or something. Listen to your body and eat some stodge if you need it.

thedogwalker · 18/07/2011 20:45

Yum yum Knotty its been years since I've eaten a fish finger sandwich, not that I eat much bread anymore and I never buy fish fingers , which probably explains their absence from my diet Grin, but I always used to have to have lashings of butter on my bread [drool]. Really hope your tummy is feeling better.

Dinky glad you managed to do exercise today, hope thats a sign that work is calmind down for you, fingers x.

Shaxx I have to agree with Knotty on the dexter, love it. But that new show on the beeb looks good too, might give that a go tomorrow night.

Had a busy day, had to go into London, had to interview a young girl regarding a serious allegation and I was the only person qualified to do such an interview, so only got home at 8pm, just to see my little boy going to bed Sad, don't like that at all. Will make sure I get home early tomorrow to spend some quality time with him.

So no time for exercise for me, but managed to saty in the zone for food. Hope everyone is well. Take care xx

LadyBuzz · 18/07/2011 22:25

knotty hope you feel better soon. and only 1lb on during your hols is amazing well done!

DH has recorded falling skies might have to give that a watch.

tdw sounds awful, hope you get your quality time tomorrow. It is crap when you don't get to see them.

dinky well done on body combat, i'm well impressed Pilates almost breaks me Grin and i'm not even at wort ATM never mind stressed with it!!

shaxx i made the mistake of letting the boys try the snack a jacks and now they want to share

I must be in the zone this week, i checked the cals in the shots i was drinking on Friday they have 103 EACH! I must have had 3 days worth of calories Blush, and we have a 40th on Friday and another christening on Sunday this week!

knottyhair · 19/07/2011 08:17

Morning! Shaxx, oh yes, True Blood.... love it! TDW, poor you, sounds very stressful. Hope you get to spend time with your DS today. I did enjoy my sandwich! I don't buy them normally, I usually make them if we have them , but ended up popping to the local shop for a pack of Birds Eye which I don't think I've had since I was about 9! LadyBuzz, it's scary how the alcohol calories add up!
Well, despite feeling ill, I managed to go over my allowance yesterday - combination of craving stodge and no exercise. Don't feel much better today but am going to try to stay within my allowance. Weak tea, and white toast & honey (no butter) for breakfast. God knows what else though. Might have to raid the freezer for the fishfingers again.... I lived on them when I was pregnant, all I could handle with all day morning sickness. And no I'm not! Just very gurgly tummy and low level nausea. Hope you all have a good one x

OP posts:
justaminute · 19/07/2011 09:19

Knotty ? hope you feel better soon. Ha to not being pregnant I have to confess I did think it sounded like morning sickness.

Thank you for all your cheers for my weight loss last week ? I?m touched. Sadly I self sabotaged yesterday ? there was a chocolate biscuit blow out Blush. However I truly wasn?t hungry for dinner so I saved some calories there. Instead I made a batch of strawberry jam (gifts for teachers/carers) and the sickly sweet smell put me off eating anything all night. I managed a shred too ? yay!

Hoping to keep the calories low today to claw back some of yesterday?s blunder. Still feeling a bit under the weather myself which is suppressing the appetite too. Have a good one folks!

dinkystinky · 19/07/2011 09:39

Wow, sounds hectic in your world Ladybuzz! Respect on downing 3 days worth of shots though Grin

TDW - sorry you missed DS's bedtime - but its only one night, and he'll enjoy the extra quality time you give him today. I hate it when I miss the kids bedtime due to work too so know precisely how you feel.

Glad you're feeling better today Knotty. I love fishfingers (but DS1 and DS2 tend to eat all of the ones in our house) so they are a good comfort loss.

JAM - back into the zone with you. What a lovely idea to make Jam for the teachers/carers! Wish I was culinarily inclined Envy

BelleEnd · 19/07/2011 16:37

Right, I have been crap for about a week. Had school barbecue, DS1's birthday, a concert, a cristening, and a trip to the Royal Welsh show's foodie tent. Back in the saddle today- Haven another christening on sunday!
Hope you're all well!

justaminute · 19/07/2011 21:44

Amazingly I've enjoyed a mini magnum and I'm still under my calorie allowance - woo hoo! IIt looks like other MFP users have had good food days too. Let's hope tomorrow is as good.

LadyBuzz · 19/07/2011 21:52

dinky i'll be glad when its all over and i can have a rest, i'm not usually a big drinker so i was quite impressed and still standing which was nothing short of a miracle Grin

belle your social calendar sounds like mine at the moment. I'm trying to have a few saintly days to make up for the bad ones!
I really want to be under 11st before our hols (3 weeks 3 lbs)

knotty glad you are feeling better, i love fishfinger sandwiches and have just discovered Aldi cod fish fingers are delish!

JAM hopefully one biscuit binge will not impact on your fab loss of last week.
