Hope it's OK that I've started this new thread, but the old one is now full! Not sure if my entry went on the old one, but anyhoo - let's keep going people! Here's to eating tasty healthy food, finding and sticking with exercise we enjoy and getting fitter, stronger & hopefully slimmer! xx

Shouldn't ask, but what is marabou chocolate?

Had a better day today. Made a big salad for lunch and ate half at twelve and half at 3ish. Enjoyed my food a lot too.

small bowl of all bran (Mmmmmmmmmm)
quorn sausage salad with 1 slice rye bread
an orange, half an apple and a peach
chicken salad and a wheat wrap.

Have a friend staying over tomorrow, and will make eton mess for him. I am going to do my very very best to resist though...

thedogwalker · 28/05/2011 20:12

Hi all

I know it's been a while since I showed my face, but with moving house and going back to work, I've had very little time to think let alone come on here. It was like when you first have your LO, I didn't know if I was coming or going, didn't know how I would find the time to fit everything in, well tbh I sitll don't know Blush.

So it's been about 5 weeks since I last weighed and 5 weeks since I really paid any attention to what I was eating. I did my weigh in yesterday and I've put on 4 lbs, so back to 10 stone dead on. A bit of a set back for me, but hey ho it could have been much worse. Been back on the food focus yesterday and today, but arrrgh, my LO is not BF anymore, so that drops me about 250 cals, ouch Shock, can only have just over 1400 now. That has come as a shocker to my system I can tell you.

Anyway glad to see so many names I recognise and hi to all the newbies. I will try and get back on as often as I can, which will get more when I learn to juggle, home, work and LO.

ta ta for now, have a great weekend.

Shaxx · 28/05/2011 21:24

Well done all you losers and stay samers.

JAM don't be angry. You'll shift it in no time. Here's a big kick - get back into that zone.

BelleEnd I'm a compulsive eater too. I know exactly what you mean about eating without thinking. I've doen it all my life but I was never really overweight but now I've got all the baby weight to shift, I really need to sort it out. Its v. hard.

TDW 4lbs is not much! well done! You've been through a lot.

Not a good couple of days for me for food.
I weighed myself yesterday and had sts. Not surprising as af time.
I went to my mums yesterday and of course, her lovely food was on offer. Had a get together with my family and basically stuffed our faces.
I've got my niece and nephew staying with me and there just seems to be food around all the time.

I did however do my 5km run this morning and was very impressed that I only took 3 very short breaks and managed to run most of it.

If only I could lose loads of weight by just exercising but eating whatever I want. Sigh.

knottyhair · 29/05/2011 07:26

Morning! Karma, sorry you've had a bad weekend food-wise so far, hope today is better for you Smile. BelleEnd, sounds like a good day for you yesterday! That's a good idea, splitting your meal up like that. TDW, helloooooo! Lovely to see you back on here, and I agree with Shaxx, 4lbs over that period, with all you've had to cope with, isn't bad at all. Bet you lose it soon enough. How is life now?? Shaxx, {admiration emoticon} at 5km run!

Enjoyed the kids party yesterday, helped out with the teas & coffees which kept me well away from the food! Didn't have anything, then had a ryvita with ham etc. when I got back, as I was peckish! No Jillian for me today, as we're doing a walk today, 6 miles ending up at a Pizza Express. I can have a Leggera and a couple of doughballs, and still should be in my allowance - difficult to judge how many calories the walk will burn - can't really do a route march with DS, love him. Think I've done a "conservative estimate". I have some soup or something this evening if I'm hungry. Have a good Sunday x

Morning!
Had an okay day today apart from a pineapple-fest at about 5ish. Ate so much, I couldn't feel my tongue Blush. But I did resist the lovely eton mess, some of which still lingers in the fridge, so I refuse to feel too bad!

Small bowl all bran
quorn sausage salad wrap
Pineapple and a banana
Pineapple salsa with cod and 1 piece of rye bread.

fedupofnamechanging · 30/05/2011 08:51

Hi all,

This weekend has been pretty disastrous food wise for me. Went all the way to ikea only to discover that they were out of stock. This I could forgive, but they make no effort to help you, you can't buy online or reserve, you just have to check stock online first, then hope for the best. I hate ikea. So, we drove about 60 miles there and I ended up buying £15 worth of chocolate and a hot dog, on the grounds that I couldn't leave without buying anything!

I did share some of it with the kids though. Belle, marabou chocolate is a lovely milk chocolate that you can buy either just milk choc flavour or with pieces of dime bar in it. It is worth driving to ikea for, but I would have liked to buy my bookshelves too Grin.

Anyway, I have eaten exactly what I wanted this weekend and had a few glasses of wine. Today, I will have to get back in the zone. You all sound as if you are doing really well, so well done everybody. Someone asked up thread, but has anyone seen thinbride recently?

Shaxx · 30/05/2011 09:07

Morning.
Knotty I am v. impressed with your ds walking 6 miles!! Hope you enjoyed pizza express. Leggera is the best thing ever.

BelleEnd you seem to have had a good day again though it seems like quite a little amount of food. I should be taking a leaf out of your book Smile

Karma how annoying. I'd have been really annoyed about that. I've not seen thinbride either. Hi thinbride if you're lurking Smile

I had family over yesterday so I cooked a dinner from Madhur Jaffreys curry bible. I did a lamb and spinach one and a green coriander chicken oned with peas pilau. I would highly recommend those recipes. Not sure how diet friendly they are though! I did over indulge yesterday too (3 days in a row now. grr) so I'm back in the zone today.

Had yoghurt for breakfast
soup and fruit for lunch
soup for dinner

Hoping to go gym later

LadyBuzz · 30/05/2011 09:31

Bad weekend here too, out for tapas on Saturday night and had quite a few drinks too.
Hangover yesterday which required me to eat crap all day Grin

So well and truly back in the zone today, i am going to be super good until Friday and hope for the best.

I might check out the fitness DVDs when i go shopping today!

knottyhair · 30/05/2011 09:33

Morning! BelleEnd, I love pineapple! And well done on resisting the Eton Mess. Karma - sorry about your bookshelves, what a PITA! Back in the zone with you! I haven't seen ThinBride either, come back ThinBride! Shaxx, those curries sound gorgeous. I do love a good curry. I did enjoy Pizza Express although I didn't have a Leggera in the end Blush. I really really wanted a Fiorentina with a runny egg so I did! I didn't have the doughballs though, and only water to drink instead of wine. According to the tracker thing I use, I was still within my allowance (just had a small bowl of tomato soup last night), and the pizza was lush! DS is pretty good with walking, we've dragged taken him out since he was very small, and he will do about 8 miles as long as there's a lunch break halfway, so I was pleased he did 6 miles before lunch. It was a really nice day Smile. Just done a Shred, had rye toast and marmite for breakfast, soup for lunch, and halloumi with chickpea & tomato salsa and couscous for tea. Have a good one! xx

Knotty! I just checked out your pics. You are gorgeous and and slim!
Lovely family Smile

Cheers Shaxx! You're very kind Smile and clearly a bit blind Grin!

Lovely pics knotty

BelleEnd · 30/05/2011 13:01

Lovely pictures Knotty. Your figure is gorgeous... Like a skinny Sarah Beeny but with a waist Envy

Shaxx · 30/05/2011 13:33

For some reason, I'm surprised you're blonde. I just pictured you as a curly knotty haired brunette Grin

knottyhair · 30/05/2011 17:31

Oh my life, you're all far too flattering Smile keep it up. It's funny how you get a picture in your head of someone isn't it? I always think Karma would have long auburn curly hair. Am I way out??

OP posts:
fedupofnamechanging · 30/05/2011 19:05

knotty I have brown hair cut into a bob that I keep tucking behind my ears and making the ends stick out. I like your version of me better Grin

BelleEnd · 30/05/2011 19:12

When I get down to my goal weight (half a stone to go!) I shall put before and after pics on here. Which will not happen anytime soon!

Small bowl of all-bran, half of which disappeared into/onto DS2
Leftover cod and pineapple salsa in a wheat wrap
Banana, orange, a few grapes
A fat bastard sized portion of roast dinner, including two large roasties, some stuffing, roast chicken and gravy. I refuse to feel guilty since my plate was 80% vegetables, but my stomach looks like Snowdon now. I also have enough left over for everyone's dinner tomorrow night, so you can look forward to another description tomorrow. :o

Again, managed to resist the eton mess.

Tomorrow, it will be one week since I started back on t'carbs... I think I'm doing okay, but I am definately bloating a lot more.

Hope you all had a good day!

fedupofnamechanging · 30/05/2011 19:18

I think you did well to stop at two roasties Belle.

I'm starting again tomorrow, now that the last of the ikea chocolate has gone into my mouth.

Managed to order my ikea stuff on line today. Have no idea why I couldn't do that yesterday. My huge book cases will be arriving in a week and then I can bring order to my messy house once more. Am hoping that building them a)counts as exercise and b) keeps me busy enough to stay out of the fridge.

LadyBuzz · 30/05/2011 19:53

Aww knotty your pics are lovely, and yes you look lovely and slim!

karma I LOVE Marabou chocolate with and without dime bar pieces, i hope you enjoyed every morsel Smile

I have been good today

Beans on 1 piece of wholemeal toast
Glass of Milk (SS)
WW soup and 2 slices wholemeal bread - no butter
Roast dinner with Yorkshire puds which I counted.

I did sneak a roastie and a tiny bite of chocolate but I was still under my calories!

I totally forgot to look at fitness DVDs but i might check Amazon out tonight!

I do have a fridge full of healthy stuff to eat for the rest of the week though!

knottyhair · 31/05/2011 06:24

Morning! BelleEnd, that's brilliant that you're so near your target weight, you'll do it in no time. I've got another 10lbs to go. And big roasties are better, they don't absorb as much oil Smile. Karma, glad you got your bookcases at last. I dream of the day I get organised at home, and don't just have piles of stuff that gets moved around as DP works on various rooms. LadyBuzz, did you look on Amazon?? I'm going to Shred this morning, then I'm off to Tunbridge Wells for a mooch with a friend (her DH is looking after all our DCs). Probably going to Carluccios for lunch, I think they usually have a nice soup on the menu. Pasta with green beans, pancetta & half-fat creme fraiche for tea later. Have a good one xx

fedupofnamechanging · 31/05/2011 09:05

Good morning everyone.

After my awful weekend which included Monday I am now back in the zone. This might be because there is no longer anything unhealthy worth eatingin the house. Have so far just had a cup of coffee. Will probably fall back on soup for lunch and Linda McCartney sausages with salad for dinner. Have to go food shopping later, despite going on Sunday. Having the boys home from school and DH here means that a weeks shopping disappears within 2 days!

Hope you all have a good day

justaminute · 31/05/2011 09:34

Can I join the knotty appreciation society too?! You look fab. T Wells is my neck of the woods so I?ll have to keep my eyes peeled for you now I know what you look like Smile. Enjoy Carluccios I love their bean soup, it is very filling and comforting.

I apologise for being a grump last week. AF has arrived which explains the lack of self control last week. I find it depressing that I am eating & drinking less & healthier (even including the binges) than I did last year and I?m exercising more yet the weight is refusing to budge in fact it is increasing. It is just so hard.

Last night I realised the only exercise I had done since last Monday was a run and a game of netball so I forced myself to go out in the rain for a 5k run. The fresh air felt good and gave me some quiet thinking time. I resolved that as tomorrow is the 1st June I will resume the shred so that I can complete the full 30 days by the end of the month, I will also do 2 other forms of exercise a week, either netball or running. I should also be able to manage 3 weeks of healthy non binge eating until PMT strikes again. Fingers crossed June will see me make a dent into my weight loss and I?ll be able to fit into my intended wedding outfit.

Phew, I hope by putting it in writing I?ll stick with the plan and you guys will nag encourage me Smile

justaminute · 31/05/2011 09:35

TDW ? nice to see you. Did you find an au pair? Has your ds settled into the new routine?
