Busty Babe With GSOH Seeks SW Partner for Weigh-Ins, Bad Jokes & Barely Veiled Self-Loathing

All right, when you've un-cringed from the above -

I'm about to (re-)embark on Slimming World and since I have neither the time nor the funds to go to classes could really do with a coupla pals for those delicious weekly morning weigh-ins. Is anyone interested? I guess it would be ideal if we were all SWing, but it ain't essential. It's the praise or blame I need, alongside willing recipients of lengthy descriptions of the size of my arse Grin.

Few stats (and needless to say we needn't go in for actual weights here)

I lost 3.5 stone a couple of years ago on SW, and have gained about 20lb of that. I KNOW! Silly bint.

As a first step I want to lose 10lb because this will take me into the 'light enough for IVF' category (I have 6 months left before referral for fertility treatment and if not pregnant by then would like to arrive in the pink of health).

After that I would like to lose another 10lb and say 'hello stranger!' to my sad neglected wardrobe of vintage frocks.

Finally, if you are interesting in hanging out, would you mind awfully looking in the mirror and checking that you actually are properly overweight?! Because nothing would depress me more than celebrating getting into a size 16 dress, when everyone else on the thread was lamenting finding their size 10 skinnies a little snug Hmm

Right. I'll now sit back and await rejection. Alpine my luvva, if you're reading this do join!

evening well done Stinky what an amazing loss.

I'm cream crackered, I have done 2 long days because of a training course it was a bit of a shock to the system as I normally only do 8:30 to 3pm.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/05/2011 07:59

Well done stinky great weight loss. Can't believe you pipped me to the post by 0.5 lbs!

MadameBoo · 12/05/2011 08:44

Despite feeling increasingly pre menstrual I am going to fcome back fighting today and try and lose 3ibs this week! Starting with a a big breakfast of quorn sausages beans and scrambled egg. If I have time for a big breakfast it sets the tone for the rest of the day I think.

obrigada · 12/05/2011 09:24

Have never tried quorn sausages Madame, do they taste anything like the "real deal" .....

MadameBoo · 12/05/2011 09:58

Not really, but I like them anyway. I've got the Cumberland style ones, they're less bland.

obrigada · 12/05/2011 10:16

One thing that puzzled me at SW the other evening (first night) was the insistence that you don't need to exercise to lose weight, but surely exercise should be encouraged as a means of toning up and getting healthy?

Pinkjenny · 12/05/2011 10:16

Well done to all

fishandlilacs · 12/05/2011 12:40

Well done everyone-nice losses. You forgot to add me to the list though -2lb this wk.

I also have a job interview next week for a learning support assistant role at the local county council.

say your prayers for me please. I need a job NOW!!!!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/05/2011 12:56

Good luck fish and well done on the 2lbs, Stirling effort.

today sucks. So far I've managed to break our laptop screen, I think I'm going to have to give up breast feeding and all I've managed to eat is 3 strawbs, 1 alpen light bar and a pack of cooked chicken.

Aaaaah.

pixiestix · 12/05/2011 14:49

Fingers and toes crossed for you Fish. Well done on the 2lbs.

Whats up with the breastfeeding Cheese? I have had a couple of points when I didn't see how I could possibly carry on, but somehow we are still going, don't know how!

BlooferLady · 12/05/2011 16:16

Well despite being thoroughly fed up, went for a cuppa with some mates and managed to avoid cake. Had a Cous Cous salad and an apple so feel quite pleased with my willpower.

pixie it hasn't been perfect from day one despite Bf support gps etc. Muddled through on pure breast till 3 or 4 weeks ago when my nipple began to bleed etc. Developed mastitis so expressed from that side and gave formula top up if needed. Since then, she loves having her milk from a bottle as it comes quicker. Get her to BF can sometimes be a struggle and this morning she just wouldn't. I fed her on and off for 3 hrs, she would be Ok for 10min or so then want more. This went on for 3 hrs till I gave her some formula. She took 200mls and didn't vomit. Worried that I just don't have enough to feed her.

Will have a think about new thread title .. Puts witty thinking cap on!

stinkypinky · 12/05/2011 19:45

I should not be top of the list as I gained last week. Thank you for the praise though, but considering I lost 0.5lb, gained 0.5lb,then lost 5lb, it is really only 5lb over 3 weeks Still happy though.

Sorry about the bfing Cheese it sounds as if you have done really well to feed her this far. My left boobie has been crap since day 1, and completely gave up 5 months ago, but my right one is still going strong. Very strange. Also when I was in hospital I did not get to feed her for 2 days, and could not express, so thought it would stop, but she had other ideas, and just cluster fed the first few days, and it was back to normal. Not sure what to suggest, except that if both of you want it, then cluster feed until supply is up. If she doesn't want to though, it may be time to stop. Ask on the bf board perhaps?

fishandlilacs · 12/05/2011 22:35

Oh cheese sorry to hear of your bad week. Wanna join me in the hot tub? (one of the few healthful pleasures left without resorting to wine and choc)

bloof I have just told that stupid cah to feck off in not so many words. She (assuming it is a she ofc) is a twat, I wholeheartedly agree. I am rather enjoying the bunfight though, I do hope she comes back with more so I can verbally punch her in the nose again. What else am I supposed to do get an abortion because I have been made redundant?

boo loving your work, thank you xxxxx

Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/05/2011 22:51

Thanks for all the kind supportive words. I think I'm packing it in. She's refused boob again tonight.things are hard enough with a sore arse, little baby and hubby working 80hr plus weeks. I don't want to force her, as long as she's taking food and is happy that's the main thing!

On the positive I've stuck to the diet despite a shitty day.

fish what's this thread your talking bout some one being mean to a fellow slimming worlder? Let me 'ave 'em!

fishandlilacs · 12/05/2011 22:58

go get em cheese. I'm really quite enjoying it :)

MadameBoo · 12/05/2011 23:04

OOOh 6 posts to go. I quite like the 'Busty Babes' moniker btw. Can we get that in? Who's doing it anyway?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 13/05/2011 07:30

fish she was a bit unnecessary! Tried to think of a half decent reply to her but failed I'm afraid. Bah. Hate it when people are horrible on here.

Today:

b: Branflakes, yog and rasps
l: jp, beans, salad
d: lamb and spinach curry from SW mag ( in lieu of takeaway)
meringue for pud

wilgo shopping for dreAded gym kit!

BlooferLady · 13/05/2011 10:01
