STEPPING IN FOR NORMA

Welcome one and all to our 5th thread

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place! :)

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! ) Grin and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week.

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in - pour yourself a Wine or Brew and make yourself at home :)

Well done Lola 3lbs is great

wynken he sounds like he would be a very useful addition to your life!

lou that's very impressive in 3 months. Am I being too rude to ask what dress size you've gone down to?

hmc I'll be around for ages as still have 3 stone to go!

Piffle · 12/04/2011 14:54

Thanks for the messages of goodwill Smile
Mum is doing well, so dram over hopefully!

Today blah shredded wheat
cauli soup and ciabatta and butter
dinner is moroccan type spiced chicken on salad
I've felt the need for a few hob nobs (non choc type) as visited physio for my back and was pummeled and ultrasounded and k taped!
Back next week to fix my arm :)
Clothes are now looking way looser, bit of stress always helps the weightloss I guess Confused
Good luck everyone, schools hols and our dog is seriously ill with kennel cough plus my back cannot stand sitting down so I can only dip in briefly.
And congrats to all those who recorded losses :)

loubloutwinmum · 12/04/2011 16:02

ClaireDeLoon - Not rude at all - I will tell you ladies anything Smile I was a size 16 (but nothing fitted so really pushing a 18 but refused to buy any so everything I wore was stretchy or just stretched) but I am 5ft 10. I am now a 12 on top (my boobs have reduced a lot - gone from a 38E to a 36 D) and 14 on the bottom still for trousers but does depend on the cut. I have a new skirt that is a 12! If I was braver and more technical I would post a before and after - maybe if I do reach goal!

A size 12 is my perfect size as I am tall and curvy and still love food! Also it has taken 5 months, not 3 - 3 stone in 3 months would be impressive!

lola - well done - 3 lbs is fantastic... My kids love Fantastic Mr Fox.

UmYeahLikeTotally · 12/04/2011 16:12

Hi all, can I stick my beak in?

I rejoined WW yesterday, looking to loose a massive 5 stone Confused (I hate seeing it written down like that!)

Does anyone have a code for the e-source thing on the website?? I am going to meetings but wanted to track online too. (Too impatient to wait until next Monday's WI)

Thanks!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/04/2011 17:18

Well done on the 3lb loss LolaLady

Piffle - your poor pooch. You've had a run of bad luck lately! Hope he gets well soon

CDL - well whilst I am not glad you've still got 3 stone to go, I am glad you'll be sticking around for a bit! Hopefully those near to goal will not entirely disappear either once they get there but pop in from time to time

Wynken - that sounds a bit of a win win, some eye candy and a decent work out too

Just got back from lunch at Frankie and Benny's followed by a theatre trip to see '2000 leagues under the sea' (with dcs). Very good and feel virtuous doing something vaguely cultural as a family. However we have been back only 5 mins and ds is already on the pc! Waitress at Frankie and Benny's was absolutely fascinated by the Weightwatchers Eating Out Guide (I was perusing the menu's pps) and she kept quizzing me about how many pps are in a MacDonald's milk shake etc and other random things. She couldn't believe a MD milkshake was more than the pps in the chicken salad with garlic ciabatta I ordered from the F&B menu, lol.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/04/2011 17:30

hmc

milkshakes are so bad

I agree with Hmc definitely sounds like a win-win situation Wynken & lol Hmc at the waitress!! I've managed to talk my sister into joining too, what a shame we can't get commission from WW when we mention them! :)

Carrot cake??? Really Blondes?!? Would you eat a cake made out of say, oh I don't know, MUSHROOMS?!?

I'd give you a run for your money Blondes but I might miss out on a bid on eBay so would only be half-hearted...honest Wink
