Pssst! (whispers) got a locksmith here sorting our my front door. He's been giving me the glad eye Wink - not in horrible overt way but in a shy sort of way. That never use to happen when I was 3 stone heavier!

NoWayNoHow · 08/04/2011 11:40

hmc hark at you being all alluring in your WW body. Poor soul, he can't help himself, he's only human! Smile

hmc · 08/04/2011 11:45
Grin
Deliainthemaking · 08/04/2011 12:50

that must of been quite sweet in a confidence boosting way

ClaireDeLoon · 08/04/2011 13:09

Well done blondes :o

Sorry about your gain Iona but you know why so that's good.

Piffle that's such a tiny gain, that's only 0.22 of a lb!

Welcome delia you won't regret doing this!

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2011 13:35

hmc flash a boob and you may get a discount

I did that a few months ago and got 40% off my tyre Wink

delia welcome

I'm temping today and db brought me lunch and was 16pp and that's not including the cake he brought me

Thank god it's a new week

You're outrageous Blondes Grin but well done on the lb loss!

Deliainthemaking · 08/04/2011 14:49

im scared for some reason Confused

i think I may take a photo on mon as a before.

NoWayNoHow · 08/04/2011 15:50

delia welcome! Taking a before photo is an excellent idea, you won't believe how much motivation it can give you.

Do'nt worry, it's completely natural to feel scared before trying something new - you're probably worried that it'll be too different/too new/too hard, but trust me - once you get the basics explained to you and once you have the handy tool that make it easy to track what you're doing, it becomes very easy very quickly.

I need a fat smack round the face please! I'm absolutely craving incredibly rich foods and I don't seem to be able to stop snacking. Already 2 over for the day (although that includes my dinner), and show no signs of slowing down! Just came back from cycling with DS and ate chorizo, 2 mini meringues and a teaspoon of peanut butter! (not all together, obviously - that would only be acceptable if pregnant, and I'm definitely not that!)

LolaLadybird · 08/04/2011 16:24

Well done on the loss Blondes - guess we can all come out of hiding now!

Have a general question for you all - what's the deal with weeklies? Do you find you can eat them and still lose or is that bit of theory a load of old tosh? Tbh it's the extra weekly points that make the weekends do-able for me but as I weigh on a Tuesday, maybe it's just not realistic.

NoWayNoHow · 08/04/2011 16:34

LolaLady - the more weeklies I eat, the less I lose. The most I've ever eaten is 42 of them, and I lost 1/2lb. The closer I get to my goal weight, the harder it is to lose, and I just do'nt want to take a chance IYKWIM?

Some people can eat them all and still lose, some can barely eat half and will gain. It depends very much on the individual, I think, and that's something WW haven't taken into account imo.

I think WW weeklies are a little like drugs during childbirth - go into the week aiming to have as little as possible, but knowing that you can eat all 49 if you need to.

androbbob · 08/04/2011 20:10

SLAP SLAP SLAP - there you go noway - get yourself upstairs and brush your teeth - that will stop you for a bit! And for every thing you eat tonight I want you to do 10 pressups - that will make you think twice!

Been a lovely sunny day today - quiet at work but we have these traffic cameras and as it is the Aintree festival (Grand National tomorrow) we have been looking at the lovely ladies off for an afternoon of fun - well all fake tanned, false nails and posh frocks with big curly hair doos - some look lovely but other are a bit....erm...do they not have mirrors in their houses! (not sure this is an appropriate use of Council property, but hey its good sport!!) They reckon that plenty spend £300 to £600 on the stuff for the day - like how much please! Anyway it is great to see them all and then go past later after they kick out - all walking down the road with shoes in their hands and wobbling everywhere! Our office is not too far from the racecourse - we can just see the main stands from the windows! I have been a couple of times and it is good fun, but pricey!

Anyway, back to WW - been ok today until I went to Tesco and they had danish pastries - so I bought and ate one! Not the best idea - but I reckon about 15 of my weeklies have gone on that! Made up for it by having steak mushrooms and salad for tea - which was delicious!!

Busy weekend planned here - hope the sun is out tomorrow - I will be in the garden sorting out the compost bin. A once a year job which is fun but hard work - got to be worth a few activity PP!

wizzler · 08/04/2011 20:35

You would be soooo proud of me ... I have been at Chatsworth all day in the sunshine and I diDn't have an icecream. Bought the DC theirs and didnt have even a lick, and a Chatsworth 99 is fab fab fab.

Well done Blondes

NOWAY, snack on fruit for goodness sake

NoWayNoHow · 08/04/2011 21:34

androbob and wizzler I've read your messages too late!

Have eaten 17 weeklies today... Blush

I have no idea why, but I've been absolutely RAVENOUS today - no matter how much I've been eating, I've still felt hungry. Tried loads of filling proteins, but it just didn't work.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day, hopefully not another hungry one though, as I'm not going to make it to next WI with any weeklies intact!!

LoopyLa · 09/04/2011 08:07

Morning all :)

Just a quick one from me - I have lost another 2 lbs this week - WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! - taken my total weight loss to 13lbs over 8 weeks.

Extrememly happy (& my weightloss still seems to surprise me) with that especially as last Saturday was 74 PP!!! Blush

And I'm really pleased that this now takes me onto the cusp of the "healthy" range of my BMI - after years of being officially overweight -yay me!

I'm preparing myself of the challenge of the week 18th-24th April though to be honest, so any extra weight lost before then will help prepare for a mahoosive gain as I'm off work for a week. I'm going to be visiting my Mums for a few days, going out for dinner at least twice, seeing some relatives, then it's my brithday and then it culminates in Easter!!! How many PP in the various sized Easter eggs anyone??!! I suspect I'm going to have to accept that I will go over my PP, try to exercise when possible & just try to to make some sensible choices - and take a boatload of fruit with me on my visits!!!
Hmm

Any other tips?

Hope everyone has a lovely, sun filled week-end :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/04/2011 08:46

loopy i confess wasnt the whole boob, but a far bit of clevage lol

delia you will be fine, but yes take a pic to help motivate you and for you to check to see how well you have done - also take measurements from boobs, hips, waist, arms and thighs

as there are times you dont lose weight (pesky af time) yet have lost fat and toned up

noway 'slaps firmly round face and bends over knee and wallops bum cheek as well'

wtf are you doing? having a new 49 pp doesnt mean you scoff them on day one!!!

lola indeed blondesland is a good place to be :)

and in regards to your question, you know my views Grin i cant eat all 49 and lose weight,i cant eat them near wi and lose weight - so what seems to work for me is eat 20/30 of them tops and just after wi and then have 4 days of 29

as noway said ,it depends on the person, but ww says daily plus 49=weight loss and its not true!!

'blondes goes to sulk'

androb there are some sights to see what not to wear at aintree

glad you counter balanced your pasty with protein and veg :)

wizzler well done on no licking

loopy well done on 2 lb loss, thats fab and so Envy as you ate 74pp in one day!!

OP posts:
benbon · 09/04/2011 11:29

wow loopy how did you manage to eat those propoints and lose 2lbs... im very jealous!!

im out tonight for drinks but will just stick to a few vodkas and diet coke, but im awful and have no will power to say no to more when i have had a few... so wish me luck!!!

Piffle · 09/04/2011 12:54

I'm thinking of going on maintenance for a week or so as back prevents me from walking much and I depend on walking!
Also mum rushed into cardiac unit with chest and arm pain... Angiogram Monday then maybe angioplasty...
She's underweight, smokes loads and eats lots of butter White carbs and cream...
We have a difficult relationship so it's putting me under some unpleasant stress :(

NoWayNoHow · 09/04/2011 13:19

piffle so sorry to hear that this is such a tough time for you.

putting yourself on maintenance points is a really good idea - sounds like you have more than enough on your plate whether worrying about losing weight this week.

Deliainthemaking · 09/04/2011 14:10

Sorry to hear about your mum piffle and you must be v. stressful hugs even though I don't know you lol

I think I will take a photo, good motivation. hot weather not good when you need to cover up Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/04/2011 14:30

piffle sorry to hear about your mum ((hugs)0 wishing speedy recovery

maintence sounds good, think you get an extra 3/5pp a day

OP posts:
vnmum · 09/04/2011 17:19

androbbob i am doing C25K and have week 5 day 3 to do tomorrow (20 mins solid, eeek!). When i was doing it on the treadmill i used to run at 6mph and walk at 3.5mph. Since we've moved i feel safe enough to run outside (private joke, lol) and my phone app says i am still running at about 6mph. To be honest it doesn't matter about speed as long as you are ot of breath, sweating etc. As you get further through the plan you may find that you need to do the longer runs abit slower anyway, just to get through them.

blondes well done on the 1lb loss.

I have been digging up borders etc in the garden today, not really hefty work as using hand tools but was getting all the dandelions out, we are plagued with them, but nice to be out in the sun.

Well done loopy and anyone i might have forgot
welcome delia
piffle hope things improve for your mum, it must be a very worrying time

LolaLadybird · 09/04/2011 20:30

Piffle - I know I'm new to this thread but sorry to hear you're having a tough time Sad. Hope things improve soon.

Delia - I'm finding the hot weather (and therefore no hiding under layers!) is v good motivation for losing weight!

Consumed mucho points today - DB has recently moved to the area and so we went to have lunch at his with DH and DC's. Turns out he is a v good cook!! Pan-fried chicken and proscuito stuffed with parmesan and thyme anyone? Then coffee and cake at the end of the afternoon. Thankfully we went for a v long walk in between and the pushchair got a flat so we had to take it in turns carrying DS on shoulders. Also did a run first thing - am feeling v virtuous (in terms of exercise, not food intake!Grin).

Hope everyone else has had lovely day in the sunshine ...

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 09/04/2011 20:47

Hi all just marking my place, back from holidays and exhausted, but considering it was wedding anniversary and mothers day while I was away I'm feeling pretty virtuous and hoping that my sneaky Boots weigh in wasn't too far off!

androbbob · 09/04/2011 21:15

Evening all - what a lovely day it has been weather wise.

piffle - hope all works out ok with your mum and I agree that maintenance is a good course of action. I think adding 5 PP a day would be reasonable. Life has to go on around the diet and the diet fit in with life.

vnmum - I am doing the Week 5 day 2 tomorrow and I am not looking forward to the 20 min run for day 3 which will be Tuesday- I used to run between 3 and 5 miles a time three times a week but that was pre kids and when I was at least 2 stone lighter! My 5K run with work is the 12th May so I will have to step up the training as that is a month away this week - now that is an eeek!

blondes - you do make me giggle you know with your posts! Do you have your own DC or just your nannied ones? Loving those Aintree piccies!

shoulders - welcome back from your hols - hope you had a fab time! Back on track tomorrow please if you will - no room for slackers on this bus!

lolaladybird - sounds like a busy day! Have you tried to point it all or are you assuming that is all your 49 weeklies gone?! Not long to Tues WI!!

wizzler - pats your back for avoiding the ice cream I too have been th Chatsworth and agree the ice cream is fab.

hmc - thanks for info about running - dont think I am quite ready for running up large hills yet - it is so flat around here (coastal) so I am emulating what I will be running on Grin

loopy - fab WI result - send some my way please!

Probably missed some - not concentrating properly as tired! Been in garden all afternoon - sorted out compost bin and now have loads of compst for pots - just need to visit garden centre to get some plants. HAve sowed some seeds with the kiddies for later in the year, but in need of some instant colour - the daffodils are looking a little sad.

Awaiting a phone call tomorrow evening from FIL (very long story but in brief MIL died 5 years ago and FIL now with a mad woman - spends 3 to 6 months a year cruising the world. Now home and due for our annual visit - I do not joke! Very little communication, alot of ill feeling in extended and immediate family. So I took bull by horns and called them. Call back earlier this week and have tentitvely arranged to meet them early this week when I am off with kids. Dont really want to go but for sake of grandkids will make an effort. So cant plan week until know what day we can visit!). Hoping weather stays nice so we can go to the park!!

Bed calling me now - got a new Zest Magazine in post so will read that.
