blondes a deserved champion once again! Will anyone else ever be last on thread again??

Congrats benben on loss!

HANGOVER GONE but only after copious amounts of lying down under a blanket watching Grey's Anatomy! I'm not normally such a lightweight, but I haven't drunk properly for ages cos of the nasty antibiotics I was, so hit me hard!

Loopy I had a handy 250ml bottle of full fat Coke (normally reserved for flattening and serving to DS when he has a tummy bug!) - sorted me right out!

BNS and a roll for lunch, and I'm feeling right as rain!

NoWayNoHow · 17/03/2011 14:19

And congrats wynken too!

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2011 14:21

Hi everyone - just hijacking really, asking for your help. Please could someone briefly explain the difference between the old points and the new propoints? I am trying to lose a few pounds and usually do WW for a few weeks to get back to my "happy" weight (10 stone) but am confused by the new system. All the WW products seem to have the new points on them - which makes it hard for me to calculate what I am eating.

Thanks and well done everyone on their weight loss so far!

Willabywallaby · 17/03/2011 14:34

Afternoon ladies, I will refrain from properly marking in the corner.

hmc · 17/03/2011 14:34

Blondes and Loopyla - what are you like! Grin

Welcome cheeky, insanemumma and fernie

Well done all your losers! ( willaby , benben and wynken)

and glad to hear your head isn't throbbing quite so much Noway - I've embraced froot's suggestion for alcohol ; the 28mls of vodka (2pp) diet ginger beer (0) and juice of 1/2 a lime (0)

Anyone who doesn't attend a WW class, there are some fab soup recipes in their free weekly pamphlet 'Your Week' - Moroccan chickpea (3pp), Thai Chicken (3pp), Pea and Ham (2pp), Stilton Pear and parsnip (3pp)and roasted butternut and chilli (0pp) - let me know if you want me to post any of the recipes here

NoWayNoHow · 17/03/2011 14:58

Hi stranded

I'll try to explain, but please bear with me as my brain is slightly pickled addled today!

Old Points were worked out using calories and sat fat. New ProPoints are worked out according to how much protein, carbs, fat (total) and fibre there is in somethinkg.

The premise behind the science is that our bodies us up varying amounts of energy depending on the type of food we eat. eg protein is more difficult ot digest, therefore the energy available to our bodies AFTER digestion is less then something the with the same number of calories that is easier to digest.

Yuo'd probably need to get yourself to one WW meeting so that you can get weighed, get a starter pack and get a few essentials, like the Eating Out Guide.

Alternatively, you can join WW online for £6.95 a month and do it that way.

ClaireDeLoon · 17/03/2011 15:28

Well done Wynken!

HighHeidYin · 17/03/2011 16:19

Well done on killing the old thread and thanks for giving us a nice shiny new one blondes

Marking my place - be back on later! Wow you lot can talk a lot Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2011 18:02

stranded also on new wwpp everyone has a daily amount, no lower than 29 and everyone then has a weekly allowance of 49 in which they can do what they like

fruit is free, tho recommend you eat no more than 5 portions a day, then pp it, ie to eat is as you are hungry not coz it is free

some find they can eat the 49 and lose weight, others like me, cant eat all 49 or will gain or sts

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2011 18:11

NoWayNoHow · 17/03/2011 18:13

I have spent the day wading through figurative custard and wishing it was literal custard with a side of literal apple crumble.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2011 18:15

'drools'

apple crumble and low fat custard

wonder what that would be in pp - think ages ago a 1/4 of iceland apple crumble was 8pp and pot of lf custard 3pp so 11pp

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 17/03/2011 18:38

I suppose I could just skip the dinner part of dinner and go straight for pudding? I'm home alone tonight so no-one can judge! (except all you lovelies and you wouldn't would you?) Grin

LoopyLa · 17/03/2011 18:39

Hmmm I had low fat custard the other day (1/4 can) & thought it was only 1 pp - had it cold with some chopped fruit & it was almightily delicious as a low pp desert :)

hmc its my belief that Blondes is a smidge competitive Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2011 18:41

i NEVER judge

competitive me - NEVER!!

Hello ladies - just marking my place on the new thread Smile

MyDearGirl · 17/03/2011 20:06

Hi, Can I join you weight watchers? I joined WW last week and really had trouble getting to grips with the pro points (have been a member a few years since). So I don't know how I managed to lose 1.5lb Grin (it must have been just cutting out the Wine), but it has inspired me to try really hard this week so I'm going for it - fingers crossed!!!

NoWayNoHow · 17/03/2011 20:11

Hello MyDear and welcome!

Well done on your loss - PP really work if you're religious about tracking. Enjoy your 0PP soup!

Just had the WW Ham & Mushroom taglietelle ready meal. Not nice. Rubbery ham, and so utterly overloaded with garlic (probably in an attempt to mask whatever non-flavours were going on there). Shan't be speaking to anyone tomorrow for fear of killing them with my breath!

What a waste of PP, I should have stuck with my threat and eaten apple pie for dinner Angry

Piffle · 17/03/2011 20:13

Oh here you all are
Stuck to points today AND did 7 activity points so had 16 points to use up tonight before reset tomorrow and WI
I've been doing it for 8 days now and have already last I think about 3-4 kgs, mostly as I have been walking miles each day, slowly but doing it...
I need to lose 11 in total!
That take me to pre baby size (18 yrs ago LOL) of 9st 3

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/03/2011 20:14

Waves to littlefish

mydear welcome an well done on loss

Noway bummer :( tbh the only ww meals that taste ok are the salmon and pot wedges and chicken curry
