Andro good luck with FIL & the mad woman. I also have family issues & can only sympathise, especially from grand-kids point of view. Hope it goes ok x

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/04/2011 08:41

vnmum well done for gardening

lola sounds yummy

shoulders welcome back, hope you had a nice time and didnt gain too much

androb fil sounds a nightmare but you have to do it for the kids - and no i dont have any of my own

i fear i ate all of my 49 last night and more Blush i went to la tesca and had a yummy set menu and trying to work out the pp today with the eog and i have given up - there is no way i have any left :(

so does this mean i have totally screwed up weight loss this week? or does it mean i try and be very good and eat 25ish pp every day to try and redeam some, tho saying that, tbh i struggle on 29 so unlikely i could eat 25 lol

Apologies in advance, haven't caught up on the thread.

Just posting to say this...

GROOOOOOOAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNN Wine Wine Wine Wine

Had a friend's b-day party last night, was quite good before hand having a relatively healthy picnic in the park, but when we got there there was lots of bubbly already bought for everyone so naturally I had to drink seventy nine a few glasses.

As a result, I had an unfortunate accident on the way home where I fell into a Fine Burger shop and landed face first in some chips with BBQ sauce Blush

Today is going to be no better as we have friends coming for a BBQ and there will be burgers, sausages and chicken. At least I'm making a couple of WW salads.

Quite frankly, I think this week needs to be a write off. I'm not feeling in the zone at all, and really not bothered. Will try to be good from Monday - Thurs so that WI on Friday isn't a total disaster, but just going to enjoy today.

On the plus side, I wore my new jeans last night (they're still a bit tight around my tummy, but they make my legs look really thin so I just wore a clever tummy-hiding top) - I got CHECKED OUT!!! By rather fit looking men! Obviously as a married lady, ahem, I was not at all batting eyelashes or anything like that Wink, but what a frickin' awesome feeling! It's been such a long time since I've attracted that kind of attention, it put me on top of the world, I tell ya!

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/04/2011 09:28

pmsl at your accident noway you just ^fell* into a burger shop

Wine is so evil!!

agree you need to write this week off and enjoy time with friends and start again next week, though as i have seen you in the flesh you are looking pretty hot Grin and dont need to lose any more weight :)

wow at being checked out, go girl Grin!!!!

Morning All, Just a quick one. WI at 2pm and absolutely dreading it. Fell off the wagon on Wednesday and never got back on. I think I'm going for the record How much can you put on in a week??? Oh well nothing I can do now. Here starts another week :)

Piffle · 10/04/2011 10:00

Thanks for the support ladies x x
We are visiting mum today and I've packed v healthy lunches...
Out tonight for steak salad and a pint...
We walk there and back to mitigate points :)
I'm going to try and focus on what's important to me and losing this next stone is very important so I'm staying on track as much as poss.

wizzler · 10/04/2011 10:06

Piffle, hope everything goes well with your mum. Noone would blame you for falling off the WW wagon a bit with all thats going on, well done you for keeping going.
Noway.. promise you will be better next week... what an example to the newbies
Blondes are you in those trousers yet?

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 10/04/2011 10:33

Thanks for the motivation android and blondes, although I tracked all week while away and was within points for the week so should be hopefully ok for a loss!

We've got DD2's naming party today, with afternoon tea. Am planning to have lunch before we go and have cunningly got my mum to make the cake a fruit cake as I don't like dried fruit (raisins are evil) and therefore won't eat any!

piffle hope your mum is ok.

androb I also have FIL and partner issues. We're seeing them this afternoon. I will report back as to whether she makes any comment on my weight loss - she hasn't seen me since Jan so have lost at least 2 stone since then!

hmc · 10/04/2011 11:13

Sorry to hear your mum is unwell Piffle - I hope you discover that she is doing okay when you visit later today

Am loving this comment from Blondes to Noway - "slaps firmly round face and bends over knee and wallops bum cheek as well, wtf are you doing? having a new 49 pp doesnt mean you scoff them on day one!!!" - lol, it's like bootcamp propointers on here!! Grin

Well done on loss Loopy

Noway - Loving the accidental burger encounter

Blondes - reckon I hammered all my weeklies and more yesterday. Went to a friends' BBQ and it was the wine that did it - probably consumed 30pp in alcohol alone, and then judgement was seriously clouded and ate rather large portions of everything. If I was you I wouldn't try and subsist on 25pp per day for rest of week to make up for it, just stick to your 29, write off yesterday and don't give it another thought, and perhaps shoe horn in one more exercise session than you otherwise would have during the week?

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/04/2011 12:47

this is what i ate - feel free to pp it Grin

'clears throat'

4 chunks of bread dipped in oil/basamic vingear
deep fried prawns
deep fried calmari
chicken and chorizo rice
chorizo slices
meatballs
mini roast potato with toms and onions
spanish ommlette
full fat mayo
apple pie with toffee sauce and ice cream
hot chocolate
mini biscuit

all with a diet coke :)

hmc i like to help people feel motivated Grin

wizzler i am in the trousers - just - ,as in finally over hips and zipped up with stomach bulgeing over Blush, but i cant move/eat/bend/fart or they will rip

i am def larger then what i was when i brought them, tho weigh the same (almost) 2 lbs to go

i need to tone more 'sighs'

shoulders have a lovely naming party and lol at fruit cake, indeed raisins are evil

HeyH0 · 10/04/2011 14:41

Good news, another 2kg off today. (So nine in total...) Bad news, I fell off the wine wagon & landed in a pizza last night, polishing off my weeklies in the process. I suspect next WI will show a less impressive loss, time to up the exercise. sigh

Piffle - Hope your visit with your mum goes well.

Blondes - The Diet Coke was a nice touch. Grin

LolaLadybird · 10/04/2011 15:20

Blondes - that meal does sound v yum

NoWay & Heyho - loving all the talk of accidents and 'landing' in food, will have to remember that turn of phrase next time I deviate big style!

Androbob - I did count my points yesterday and only used 19 of my weeklies (and I was v honest), however you are right to point out that Tues is looming closer so am back on the wagon today. Have also been for a 45 minute bike ride (and 'tis v hilly around here). Feeling v focussed actually, think the warm weather helping (less of an appetite) and that fact I've been wearing a pair of jeans that were definitely too tight previously :). Am savouring the focussed feeling as it can't last Grin ....

vnmum · 10/04/2011 16:07

Androbbob I did my 20 min run today. It wasn't as bad as i was imagining. I did run it a bit slower than my shorter runs (5.6mph according to app) but i did what i felt comfy with. I did 1.8 miles in 20 mins so that would mean that by the time i have finished C25K and can run for 30 mins it won't be anywhere near 5k. I think at my speed it will be more like 40 mins to run 5k.

I then did my new kettlenetics dvd and all i can say is oww, my arse! Even bending over it feels tight, so the dvd must have worked something. Just aswell, because seen as everyone else seems to be falling into food this weekend, i will admit i fell into a trifle [embarrassed] (not had one in so long and wanted something sweet, i blame the impending AF, and DH came back from the shop with said trifle, so couldn't not eat it)

I am now seeing if i can save some points off my dailies for the rest of the week and do more exercise just to break even.

I think it's the nice weather and all the socialising that comes with it that makes us abandon all control

Well done HeyHo

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/04/2011 16:58

heyho well done on loss

and the diet coke was as i drove or would have been wine Grin

hmc · 10/04/2011 18:24

"I think it's the nice weather and all the socialising that comes with it that makes us abandon all control"

Never a truer word....

The nice weather is also putting me off exercise - just too warm. Am getting up early tomorrow to do a gym session before it gets uncomfortably hot

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/04/2011 18:31

androb how many lb's have we lost this week and how many in total?

we need to remotivate ourselves again Grin

OP posts:
WynkenBlynkenandNod · 10/04/2011 22:33

Piffle, I hope your Mum is OK. Can't quite catch up with rest of thread, but is the gist that this weekend is proving difficult for most of us ? I'm flipping starving. Been putting it down to lots of gardening yesterday and more lengths than usual today, I could eat, well let's just say lots but am trying to hold firm.

androbbob · 10/04/2011 22:41

Don't know blondes - will work out tomorrow as it is too late now! Had to copy all files off my pc as I needed to reformat the PC and have just reloaded them back on the pc. I cant find the newer version of Excel so need to download the converter. Its far too late on a Sunday evening for me but I am off for a few days now!

Evil Woman called back tonight and we are meeting them for 'lunch' at 1.45pm on Wed - not a usual eating time for my kids but whatever! Will be an interesting afternoon......

Anyway upto the end of last week we had lost a frand total of 131 lbs - which is like a small adult!!

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 10/04/2011 22:53

I resisted chocolate cake and carrot cake. Go willpower! I still have 6 dailies left as had assumed I would eat loads at naming, but didn't. I am smug! Will post properly tomorrow...

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/04/2011 07:33

shouldres well done for resisiting!! - i obv didnt over the weekend Blush

wynken well done for holding firm

androb 131 so far - wow!!!

gonna be a scorcher today in blondeland, off to the park, obv smoothered in suncream

OP posts:
LoopyLa · 11/04/2011 07:58

Shoulders I can easily resist carrot cake (it's my version of slime). I've never understood why people enjoy a cake made out of a blumming vegetable! I mean, would anyone eat a Brussel Sprout cake?!?

Piffle · 11/04/2011 09:33

Hello all :-) hope you all had a super weekend?
I visited mum yesterday it turns out she actually had a heart attack on friday but didn't want to let us know. She's ok angiogram today and we will know more. Smoking is bad bad bad.
I packed healthy lunch yesterday and then we went out for dinner 2pints and a seafood casserole, gorgeous I only ate 2 of the garlic breads and none of the potatoes!
Walked there and back :)
Still only got 10 weeklies but back well enough for walking so walking with youngest in pram and evening walk with dogs and hubby.
Today
All bran,banana and semi skim
Lunch homemade spiced cauli soup
Dinner kofta meatballs, salad and pitta, garlic mint yoghurt sauce

NoWayNoHow · 11/04/2011 10:27

Hey all

Sorry, not read thread or caught up. Have very bad viral tonisillitis, so feeling very sorry for myself. Hopefully this means I won't be able to eat as much as I have done over the last couple of days. As I said, I'm totally writing off this week. Just seems to be one thing after another this year with illnesses, and I'm getting a bit sick of it all. WW seeming far down my list of priorities at the moment... Sorry, i know that's not inspirational speak for the newbies!

I'm basically hoping that if I have just use this week to stop caring about it, and look after myself, then i'll be in a better mindset to start afresh. Right now, I just haven't got the energy honestly.

Will pop back on the thread later on in the week - good luck anyone who's WI soon!

LittleFriendSusan · 11/04/2011 11:05

Morning all :)

Blondes, LoopyLa & HeyHO -well done on losses.

Piffle sorry you're having such a shit time of it at the moment and hope your mum is OK. Glad to hear your back is a bit better. Your food for today sounds delicious as usual - will you come and cook for me?!

Loopyla I love carrot cake. And chocolate & beetroot cake / brownies - bet that wouldn't go down too well in your house either! Sis does a mean courgette cake too.

vnmum well done on running 20 mins. I did day 3 week 1 yesterday and it was much easier than the previous time. Feeling confident we can manage week 2 now!

Sounds like lots of us overindulged a bit at the weekend! I made pavlova for our get-together in the end - had planned on filling with WW cream & fruit but couldn't find any, so had to do double cream instead. Mixed with passionfruit & topped with mango, strawberries & raspberries. It was delicious and still not as bad PP-wise as it could have been. Good job really, as I used enough on wine...

Then I was in Morrisons in the next big town on Sunday & they actually had the WW cream - so I bought a couple of pots and made another pavlova for Sunday pud Grin. I also somehow forgot to track anything on Friday which is most unlike me! So not sure if I went over or not - assuming I was within my 29 then I used all weeklies & activity points but didn't go over.

WI tonight, fingers crossed for a 1lb loss. Had weetabix with banana & strawberries for breakfast. Ham, mozzarella, tomato & basil wrap for lunch (those Warburtons squareish wraps are yummy!) and have an apple & couple of satsumas in case I get peckish before WI at 6.30...

Good luck to all WI today :)

ClaireDeLoon · 11/04/2011 11:06

Piffle sorry to hear about your mum :( hope the angiogram results are OK

Wave at everyone else. I did a 5 hour gardening stint on Saturday so everything aches today, which has to be good.
