I think they are meeting half way through lunch by some glitter ball in upstairs bar Miss (you sound fab in your coat btw!)

AnyFuleKnoKindaLingers · 19/02/2011 06:45

Looking forward to seeing some of you there, although I probably won't be able to spot you! I'll be there so if you think you recognise me then come and say hello - I'm very short and will be wearing greeny blue jumber, black skirt and looking lost.

nikki1978 · 19/02/2011 06:54

Why am I up at this ungodly time on a Saturday? Oh yeah I remember now! Grin

Anyfule, I will call you when I come out of the tube. I will be wearing a white coat, black leggings and brown boots. My hair will be somewhere between curly and frizzy and is long and dark blonde.

Looking forward to it :)

UrsulaBuffay · 19/02/2011 08:04

OliveonthepaulMcKennaBus · 19/02/2011 10:03

AnyFuleKnoKindaLingers · 19/02/2011 11:50

Hey olive! I'm here too, tell me where you are and I'll make myself known

lililolo · 19/02/2011 11:53

OliveonthepaulMcKennaBus · 19/02/2011 12:11

Back of stalls blue umbrella dark bob black top

UrsulaBuffay · 19/02/2011 15:56

Hope you managed to meet up. Erm, we need to talk about the lacsadaisical attitude to Bear badge making

blinder · 19/02/2011 16:47

That tapping bloke slagging counselling really annoyed me. Angry

missmakesstuff · 19/02/2011 20:52

Prawn chocolate anyone?

I was there, kept looking around thinking...is she a mumsnetter...is she? ooh, what about her?

Hoping the two that didn't stop talking and laughing throughout in front of me weren't though. We moved.....

missmakesstuff · 19/02/2011 20:59

and yes, tapping bloke was strange, didn't get the swaying thing, sure it was all suggestion...

I got quite upset when Mickala (sp) was doing the mirror thing, is me all over, I hate seeing photos of myself, just think I am horribly ugly. Kind of know I am not though, too. Confused.

Finally home, having a lovely Wine and planning takeaway, although not actually hungry yet! Sure I will be a bit, when it arrives!

lililolo · 19/02/2011 21:11

Missmakestuff, I think I was sitting behind you at the end. Have you got curly hair and did your companion have blond hair and glasses? If so, you are gorgeous and I am very envious of your coat (off to look up brand and maybe have as treat in smaller size!).

I was very upset about micheala too. Especially as I thought she was gorgeous! Many of my friends act in shock when I say how i see myself, but when we were doing that exercise I just thought hmmmm, can tolerate my face (although it would look nicer slimmer!) but from the neck down I just look like a total minger!

Did you enjoy the day? I found it soooo intense. I'm glad I've been practising (tenaciously!) already as I would have been dead on my feet otherwise.

I was planning on introducing myself to you at the end, but I was dying for the loo about 15 mins before the end and decided not to go back in.

Wmmc, I think I spotted you in your red coat too! You are lovely.

Also think I sat in front of a mner at the beginning. I was sitting in seat t8-9.

Sorry I didn't make the lunch time meet. I totally planned to, but then my mum wanted to moan about her mum so we didn't get back quickly enough.

My mum didn't really take it very seriously I don't think. I think she just saw it as a day out, but I told her I was 5 stone over weigh and I needed to take it seriously or I would die!

Having said that, I could hardly stop laughing at the beginning x factor bit when he came on. Hilarious!!!

How did the rest of you find it?

lililolo · 19/02/2011 21:13

Oh gosh, I bet I'd buy it in smaller size than I am now, not a smaller size than yours!!! Eeek.

missmakesstuff · 19/02/2011 21:36

ooh, thats me I think - although not the gorgeousness, ut thank you for saying so!
the coat is new, its mental....Desigual, DH bought it for me, he has good taste I think, although its very over the top, it is very me! Their sizing is mad though, makes you feel fat even if you're not, I have nearly the biggest size they do I think...

I expected him to come on clapping his hands over his head saying 'come on, who wants to get THIN?'

Hilarious!

I think my friend got a lot from it, she kept saying she had a bag of crisps in her handbag, but by the end of the day she hadn't eaten them - and was really proud of herself!

Thought the day was pretty good value, but oh christ on a bike, it was cold! and the toilets were minging!

missmakesstuff · 19/02/2011 21:42

We left a bit early too, didn't help us much, the tube was mental anyway. We were in the pub for lunch, needed fish and chips....didn't eat it all, but still ate too much, as we didn't get to eat until 2:30 - so were ravenous.

He did say fuck a lot, didn't he. Sweary man! For effect, obviously.

Hello!

I thought it was great but am unbelievably tired now. Was lovely to meet people.

I also hated that tapping Kevin bloke, I wanted to heckle him but thought other people might have been enjoying it.....

The whole thing feels bit surreal now.

AnyFuleKnoKindaLingers · 19/02/2011 23:10

I had a great time too. Was great to meet Nikki who is very lovely and nice. Tried to spot some others but couldn't be sure.

I really enjoyed it, with the exception of the tapping guy. Did that woman at the back ask him why he was fat? I missed that! He seemed quite put out by it at any rate.

I also spotted a woman with a mullet, was it any of you lot? Wink

Also spotted a lady on the tube with one of the packs, so she must have been too, she was scarfing down chocolate raisins, arf.

AlwaysbeOpralFruitstome · 19/02/2011 23:11

Hello itsonly (waves) it was lovely to meet you too - glad to see you got home ok. Hope there was a hot meal and a cold glass of something waiting for you. Thumbs up to the 'new start buddy' thing.Grin

lililolo - itsonlyajob and I were sat in T6-7! I couldn't work out who else was a mner tho and chickened out on asking anyone hanging about under the glitter ball if they were one.

It was quite 'American' in presentation wasn't it? I got a bit of a sinking feeling when 'movie voice over guy' came on at the beginning but thankfully I found the rest to be mostly useful and thought provoking.

Wasn't at all convinced by that tapping guy either, him and his TFT (Total Fucking Tosh) and found him dismissive and seriously lacking in charisma (perhaps he should tap himself more engaging). I have no idea whether it works or not but that swaying thing was just suggestion, I'm sure. I didn't move until he spelt it out.Hmm

Brain is mush now. Need to sleep and process it all.

blinder · 19/02/2011 23:38

Did anyone else eat at lala? My meal didn't come till 2.50 and was undercooked!!

I'm definitely committing to the program though. For at least a fortnight.

Minus the tapping...

Those 4 rules are common sense. They must lead to a better relationship with food. Neutrality was the key word for me today.
