Thought I might take the liberty to start a new thread as can't seem to cram another post onto the old one and I have some positive news to start a new one with! :)

I have lost weight - almost as much as Jillian claims you will and have 2 days left!

------

Everyone is doing so well - putting me to shame with talk of Level 3 going on! Envy
:)

Heh, should have been talking to herbaceous there, all the blood has flowed to my muscles and away from my brain. Hello anyway, tummytickler. :o

Today was day 9 of level 2, so it's nearly time to move up - think I might watch level 3 tomorrow, as it's my day off. I can watch it when I get home from discovering I have lost no weight whatsoever at Slimming World (exercise is all well and good, but my eating has been verging on out of control this week).

Lollypolly · 08/02/2011 06:52

Shredded last night for the first time and loved it. Jillian is very no nonsense and has exactly the right attitude for me. Not sore today but muscles are tired (I do a tough pilates class twice a week so used to that!). Roll on tonight! (doing it after the kids are in bed to stop them laughing at me!!!)

Has anyone tried Jillian's other DVDs? She does 6 pack one and a banish fat one....

sighnomore · 08/02/2011 10:14

Ladies you are all doing so well! I need a major virtual kick up the fat ass. I've had a nearly two week slip of the wagon Sad didnt even know we had a new thread!
I'd a hectic week in work last week and was working every evening at home so had no time then this week I'm away on an outdoor pursuit residential tomorrow (at least l be active)

I was at level 2 day 16ish do you think I can pick up where I left off after 2 weeks off? I've been eating garbage too as stressed. I hadnt even lost any weight either so I'll now be even heavier

tummytickler · 08/02/2011 10:29

Lollypolly I have been looking at her others too. I am a little bit scared to try one at the moment Grin I am finding the Shred tough and I am under the impression that the others are tougher Shock

sighnomore why don't you do one day on Level 1 and see how you go? (although I am no expert as only on Day 5 of Level 1 Grin )

Labradorlover · 08/02/2011 10:39

Day 2 of level 1 done. Found it harder as I used proper weights today...

I have a dress that I want to wear in 10 days time, but it's a bit tight now. If I shred every day, do you think I'll be toned enough to fit it, or do I bit the bullet and go shopping ( I hate shopping ) ?

Dillinger · 08/02/2011 11:23

Hello all :)

I re-started the shred dvd last week (1st feb) and then the whole household came down with the flu :(

Dunno if that was a sign or what Grin

Anyway Im going to get today out of the way and see how I am tomorrow to try again - Im not feeling as rough as I was, thankfully.

Liking this thread for inspiration though.

notyummy · 08/02/2011 12:37

Lolly - I have tried 2 of the other ones and wouldn't say they are harder than the Shred. The Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism one is good and pretty hard work. If you do it all the way through it is longer than the Shred (around 45 minutes) but you can choose to do seperate 6 minute segments and put them together of short of time.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 08/02/2011 12:41

I am still alive and kicking ladies in case anyone was wondering - glad you guys are too! :)

I am still waiting for my 'last chance workout' to come, though Jillians' book arrived today 'Winning by losing' so was looking forward to getting stuck into that but in-laws are coming over tonight now.

I am keeping my hand in with the shredding and am mastering L2 now after my 30 days of L1. :o (Did lose the 20 in 30 like she said actually in the end - even on L1 :) )

fishie · 08/02/2011 12:42

she's bringing out a new one - 30 minute grater or something. similar format, 3 2 1. i might try it...

LadyOfTheFlowers · 08/02/2011 12:43

Thanks for the heads up. :)

Will keep 'em peeled for that one.

javotte · 08/02/2011 12:47

DD is ill and won't nap. :(
Weight loss has slowed down (haven't lost inches in a week).
DH is losing his job and will be unemployed on Friday.
I want this day to be OVER!

Joby1970 · 08/02/2011 12:50

Re the shred diet - it's on her webpage - you have to pay.

I have 6 weeks to 6 pack abs - a newish DVD of hers - its pretty hardcore too.

Lollypolly · 08/02/2011 12:55

Thanks notyummy about the other DVDs. Just did day 2 of level 1, still alive!!!!

Has anyone who has completed 30 days got any hard facts about weight / inches lost?

BuzzLiteBeer · 08/02/2011 12:58

I just started today, and owwwwwwwwww!

flatmouse · 08/02/2011 16:43

I won't be losing the 20lb in 30 days! Well done lotf
just done day 12 level 2 (day 2) and I find it very hard to hold those planks. I just keep telling myself that by day 10 of level 2 it'll be easier

tummytickler · 08/02/2011 17:02

I have skipped it today, and stuffed myself with bread Blush
I might give it a go later, but pretty tired. I need to guilt myself into it!
I have done lots of walking (2 hours in total 4o minutes fast carrying shopping)
I doubt very much I will lose 20lbs in 30 days, but maybe I should weigh myself first Grin

BalloonSlayer · 08/02/2011 17:26

Did Day 3 Level 3 today.

Quite despondent as I couldn't seem to do much at all today. [confused[

The Rock Star jumps frighten me. I don't think I could flick up my legs like that then get them back down again in time to land on.

I do feel as if I have a metal band across my lower stomach though, so that's good I suppose.

javotte · 08/02/2011 18:20

DH volunteered to look after the children for 1/2h so I could do level 2. I also took the DCs for a long walk and had to carry DD most of the time.

Momentarynamechange · 08/02/2011 19:08

Another level 3 for me today too. I know what you mean Balloon about the rock star jumps. I find the jumping lunges even trickier - I can't get both legs down at the same time, more splat splat, rather than one solid boom...

I think my lower back is benefitting from level 3 as the superman moves don't seem to worry it so much, yay!

Onwards and upwards eh Grin

Well done and a big cheerleading whoop to all us Shredders, Jillian would be proud!

febes · 09/02/2011 00:50

My lower back is buggered!! I have done 4 days on level 1 and the osteo told me not to stretch or jump Hmm. I'm seeing him again on monday. I have also got a stomach bug at the moment and I did shred yesterday but have no energy today so I will see how I feel tomorrow. I am meant to be going to aquafit tonight but I'll see how my tummy is feeling (have had diahorrea and queasy tummy for 3 days Sad)
Good thing as I have no appetite so haven't been eating much so will hopefully lose some inches that way Hmm

herbaceous · 09/02/2011 07:44

Did day 2 level 3 last night. Well, tried to. Got half way through the second circuit and could do no more. Then I realised I hadn't eaten for eight hours, which would explain my lack of energy!

javotte · 09/02/2011 08:06

Going away for the day, I hope I'll have time to do level 2 when I get home.
I did a few more minutes of abs yesterday night! Grin

fishie · 09/02/2011 08:25

alas poor jillian i have abandoned you a bit. have gone back to running now it is lighter in the evenings. i will continue on rest days as cross training.

the new one's called 'Ripped in 30' which sounds ominous. four workouts.

i found level 3 got much easier after about 4 goes, esp the jumping stuff (baby elephant alert!) because i got the hang of what i was supposed to be doing, so could get on with it rather than squinting at anita and nat then falling over.

BalloonSlayer · 09/02/2011 11:44

Day 4 Level 3 completed.

Still can't do it all but can't do less of it than I couldn't do yesterday. Translation: I think it may be getting easier.

Knackered though.

V chuffed to get it over with before lunch.

< Homer Simpson voice > Mmmmmmmmm Luuuuuunch.

BuzzLiteBeer · 09/02/2011 11:52

so, er, how do I do day2 when I can't move my legs or arms properly after day1?
