Thought I might take the liberty to start a new thread as can't seem to cram another post onto the old one and I have some positive news to start a new one with! :)

I have lost weight - almost as much as Jillian claims you will and have 2 days left!

------

Everyone is doing so well - putting me to shame with talk of Level 3 going on! Envy
:)

I did my second day today. It hurt even more than yesterday cause all my muscles are still super sore.
Unfortunately I went out with DP tonight, having chips, popcorn and sweets Blush
Probably going to take a bit longer with these results

Gilmore & londonlottie, the aching does get better, I promise! Just done Level 3 again - not sure why but my arms didn't seem to want to play ball on the last strength circuit, had to stop twice in the second set. Never mind, got there in the end!

Labradorlover · 21/03/2011 11:41

Back to level 1 today. Thought I'd give my pelvis a breather from level 3 and have a bit of a cold atm. Can now do 6 proper push ups in a row Grin.
Shred is definatly giving noticable results as 4 RL friends are now shredding too!

LondonLottie fantastic weight loss, keeping going with the shred - you will see results.

Did 6W6P L1 D2 this morning and it was a killer - seems alot faster than shredding and can def feel it working.

labradorlover well impressed with your 6 proper push ups!

Shred is definitely taking over at my work Wink news is spreading fast!

knottyhair · 21/03/2011 11:54

Labradorlover, good on you for doing the proper push-ups! I never thought I'd be able to do them, you really do see results with old Jillian. londonlottie, go for it, you'll be fine. I still find bits of Level 2 harder than Level 3 though Blush.

knottyhair · 21/03/2011 11:56

Flatmouse, did you still do it without the weights? I can't feel it in my abs at all after yesterday, and was thinking of doing it tomorrow, with weights but beginners versions of the moves.

JelliBelli · 21/03/2011 11:56

LondonLottie the aching will pass, you will do those 'contortions' (but you are allowed to moan on here, we all did) and you even end up almost enjoying it Shock!!! Grin.

Hope you've taken your measurements already, otherwise you'll not record the changes fully.

JelliBelli · 21/03/2011 12:00

Knottyhair I did 6W6P L1D3 with my 1.5kg weight again today, I thnk I may try it with the 3kg tomorrow though.

I quite like 6W6P as the cardio doesn't feel so intense compared to 30DS. I ached slightly yesterday in my thighs and arms which seems a bit odd for an ab workout but still. I shall watch and wait to see what happens.

flatmouse · 21/03/2011 12:01

knotty yes, but my weights are only 1kg - need to get new. I feel it in my abs when doing but not after - having said that i can pull my stomach in alot better now.
Cannot do the side planks at all but have FINALLY mastered mountain climbers.
Am away next 3 days - not sure if i'll be able to do but will take dvd to play on laptop just in case!

knottyhair · 21/03/2011 12:08

Thanks JelliBelli and flatmouse, think I'll try with weights tomorrow then. Mine are 2kg, don't have anything heavier but I've a feeling they will be sufficient for me!

CleverCircusFlea · 21/03/2011 12:39

Level 2 day 5 today, so, in theory, I should be half-shredded Grin. Only managed to shred for 3 days last week, but hopefully this week will be better. My wii fit says I've lost 2 lbs since last week, can't say I'm too impressed with this Hmm

greenfig · 21/03/2011 14:23

Lottie headache gone just not quite with it today! Hangovers seem to last soooo much longer these days, thankfully only occasionally drink (to excess) as am still designated driver since 1st pregnancy 10 yrs agoHmm
My legs were like jelly L1, L2 not harder I don't think just works different area, shoulders were sore. Supposed to still be consolidating but have relaxed a lot. Have oatbran bfast, lo carb lunch & just sensible most of rest of time. Am still daily weighing & I fluctuate up & down by 4 lbs but am def toning & fittening due to shred so am happy. Find shred strangely addictive, odd since I HATE gyms & most exercise classesConfused
Well done everyone, am hoping to fit in a shred before zumba later, make up for yest...

Labradorlover · 21/03/2011 15:50

Flatmouse thankyou for showing me how to spell definitely Wink

flatmouse · 21/03/2011 19:57

labradorlover if I got it right, it's because my iPhone has spellchecker Wink

conquita · 21/03/2011 23:13

Am back to level one again after one week of no shredding but have run twice, walked to work and back and went treking at the weekend. I have seen photos of myself taken in the last week and am quite satisfied with my appearance. My arms still look quite wide, but my shoulders and neck and posture are so much more improved. This has spurred me on to re-shredding, and hopefully this round will start to make a difference on my arms now.
I have been afraid to measure myself this month, but may do it tonight. I have lost no weight on the scales though, but am focussing more on what the photos show, which is a more trimmer and poised person than the person I was before I started to shred last December.

Eyeslikeraisins · 22/03/2011 08:42

Please may I join this thread. Am meant to be getting married at the ripe old age of 42 on the 3rd of June and I've bought a beautiful dress that doesn't fit. I really want to look nice in wedding pics and for OH to be wowed by my gorgeousness.

I've got 10 weeks to tone up. Will the shred do it for me? I started yesterday and muscles, particularly shoulder and chest are screaming in protest.
I mean is it enough? Or do I need to starve too?

notyummy · 22/03/2011 09:00

I wouldnt starve! You will only lapse and gorge...

Perhaps cut out booze and junk to start with and shred religiously! If you have time, perhaps a little extra cardio as well? Make sure you are always pushing yourself whilst shredding - i.e if it is starting to feel slightly less hard then you should be upping the weights, or doing the hard version of each exercise.

Perhaps for the final stretch before the big day you could think about low carbing? Really works but is quite restrictive, so not eveyones cup of tea, which is why I wouldn't necessarily try it for a long period.

knottyhair · 22/03/2011 10:02

Hi Eyeslikeraisins! Just done 6W6P Level 1, still mostly beginner versions but I did use weights, and managed nearly all advanced side planks although felt weird afterwards! Cannot imagine for the life of me EVER being able to do the super advanced version of spider planks.

BalloonSlayer · 22/03/2011 13:48

Just ordered 6W6P!

< excited >

I am trying to get the energy up to Shred today. I think I am a bit bored with it. I shall try Level 3 today < grimace > for a change.

But I am so delighted at the results. I almost have to allow for 3 minutes worth of preening when I get dressed in the morning Blush.

ClaireDeLoon · 22/03/2011 14:20

:o at 3 minutes of preening!

I'm nearly finished, done L3D6 today. What do you ladies recommend now? I was thinking try to do it all the way through again aiming to be doing Natalie moves by the end of repeating each level? I was also thinking I'd up my cardio by starting the BFBM workout, maybe doing shred on a morning and 30 mins of BFBM in the evenings?

Hey Lottie, belated congrats on your twins btw I remember you from some ttc threads!

I'm very overweight, had 4st to lose and managed to get 11lbs off so far with WW's so I do have a fairly hefty layer of blubber over what muscles have emerged, but yes I know I am smaller by a good few inches around waist, hips and bust. I also feel lots fitter, more flexible etc. I'm really glad I've done it and stuck with it.
