Thought I might take the liberty to start a new thread as can't seem to cram another post onto the old one and I have some positive news to start a new one with! :)

I have lost weight - almost as much as Jillian claims you will and have 2 days left!

------

Everyone is doing so well - putting me to shame with talk of Level 3 going on! Envy

Go for it flatmouse! Promise it's not as bad as it looks!

Conquita, blimey!!! That's amazing stuff. The most I managed on one foolish occasion was 2 levels back to back and I was in a sweaty heap on the floor! You must be incredibly fit now, and happy!

Javotte, if you have an ED, then what you are doing at the moment is doubly fantastic. I suffered too and finally kicked it about 6 years ago so I understand where you are. You can sort it you know, it's a toughie but it is fixable x

Re shredding, can you fit it in while DCs are asleep? Sorry I don't know how old they are. If they're older, can you get them to join in, say count how many reps you do of each thing.

Sorry, those are probably really crap suggestions Grin

Labradorlover · 18/02/2011 09:51

DD5 has been shredding with me all week ( half term ), and today decided to be Gillian! Hard to shred while laughing....
Level 2 next time, although going out tonight and tomorrow. Drink involved, so probably Monday.

javotte · 18/02/2011 10:56

threestepsforward I can't exercise when the DCs sleep [long and boring explanations].
My ED is not as bad as it was 8 years ago (12,000kcal/day Blush) but I'm afraid I'll never beat it completely.

52Girls · 18/02/2011 11:03

Another Shredder! I wanted to ask if anyone has seen noticeable tummy tightening? On day 3 level 1 so I know it may be a while until I see any change but I need some hope - This is the part of my body I want to see change in the most.

knottyhair · 18/02/2011 11:22

Hi 52Girls. I've been doing the Shred for about a month, and have done 3 days on Level 3. I don't know if it feels tighter, but I can only say that I can do the Rocky style sit-ups now easily, whereas before I started I could barely get my shoulders off the floor! So I guess the muscles have got stronger, and mine were crap! Keep at it!

Joby1970 · 18/02/2011 12:45

52girls - i started to notice lines down the side of my abs around day 20 - but (& there is no way to say this nicely!!) it depends on how much of a fat layer you have over the muscle Smile

Momentarynamechange · 18/02/2011 14:53

52girls, definitely!! I've been doing level 3 for about, er, 2 weeks and tummy is most definitely improved.

And...my arms are looking slimmer - woo hoo!!! They went through a stage, half-way through I guess, when they appeared bigger and banana like but they are definitely looking better now Smile

Will be looking down towards the thighs now lol

Momentarynamechange · 18/02/2011 15:01

p.s. Javotte, PM'd you

BalloonSlayer · 18/02/2011 16:11

Argh did Day 7 of Level 3 today. I am still so rubbish . . .

52Girls · 18/02/2011 16:14

Ahh, thanks! Makes it all worth it to read if all your great results. Bit concerned I've hurt my stomach muscles though. When I sneeze I'm in agony. Currently laying in the sofa with a hot water bottle after sneezing on the school run - the pain stopped me in my tracks. Bum....Dh has bought me a mat and hand weights today too.

Momentarynamechange · 18/02/2011 16:50

Take it easy for a bit 52girls, you definitely sound like you've pulled something.

Well I went back to level 1 today and really found it hard. Was shaky at the end, just like i was the first time I did it...

Do you know, not one person has commented on the trimmer me Sad I know that sounds a bit me me me, but it would be lovely if just one person made a positive comment, would help keep me motivated.

Ah well, I'll just tell myself Grin

52Girls · 18/02/2011 17:48

Thanks, TSF...I think you're spot on..will have to take it easy for a few days.

I think sometimes as long as YOU know things are changing then that is good enough.

knottyhair · 18/02/2011 17:48

I know what you mean threestepsforward. I saw someone the other day who I hadn't seen for about 6 weeks, and he didn't comment at all! And I know I've lost 9lbs so I'm hoping it does show. Mind you, he is quite a self-absorbed individual! DP says he's noticed, but he would say that, wouldn't he Wink? Well, I can see from here how trim you lookSmile.

BalloonSlayer · 18/02/2011 18:08

Goodness me threestepsforward < narrows eyes and steps back a bit > Have you lost weight? Or have you been toning up?

And as for you knottyhair, you look FAB! What's your secret?

notyummy · 18/02/2011 18:11

No shred since Monday for me, but a run yesterday and then banish fat DVD today plus 40 min of yoga. Will double shred this weekend!

I have no doubt that there are clear changes to all peoples bodies if you are shredding regularly and not eating piles of rubbish. I am not trying to loose weight, just maintain BMI at 21 although wouldnt mind dropping a little bit of body fat. Have suffered from borderline eating disorders in the past and am trying to be less controlling. That said, when I have overindulged on holiday then cutting out booze and cutting right back on carbs works for me. I eat some carbs (veg and fruit; some breakfast cereal and, er, cake Blush) but have virtually cut out bread and potatoes and only occasionally eat small portions of wholemeal pasta/ brown rice.

notyummy · 18/02/2011 18:12

Grin at Balloonslayer.

Momentarynamechange · 18/02/2011 19:26

he he, that has cheered me up!

Off to devour dinner now. Have a good evening all Smile

ClaireDeLoon · 18/02/2011 20:23

Just done day 3. It will get easier right? Tell me it will get easier???

Having some wine now to help me recover.

knottyhair · 18/02/2011 21:27

Thanks balloonslayer Grin!

flatmouse · 19/02/2011 09:59

Level 3 day 1 complete - do I get bonus points for completing it after having had a skinful last night? Found it hard but not quite as hard as I was expecting although I'm doing Anita 99% of the time! Still, always helps to have room to improve.

Dreaded swimming cossie shopping this afternoon.

flatmouse · 19/02/2011 10:48

Me again, going to attempt Zumba class as well, but noticed that whereas mid thigh is getting nice and toned, top thigh is a saggy and flabby as ever. How do I target that bit then? Ideas please!

Zeeky · 19/02/2011 10:48

Level 1 day 5 done! I'm definitely recovering quicker now - not as jellylegged immediately after & not as achy next morning.

Momentarynamechange · 19/02/2011 11:31

Morning all!

Thanks for cheering me up yesterday you lovely people Smile

Flatmouse I'm not sure how you can target specific areas. I asked before as my thighs and arms were the areas I most wanted to improve and they didn't seem to be changing. BUT I think they might be now so keep going and I think you will see a change. I think it was Lostgirl who used a really good analogy about snow, but I can't remember it so that's not very helpful!

I ache after doing level 1 yesterday, haven't ached for a while. Am going to do level 2 today, which is my personal worst!

Big cheerleading whoops to all the Shredders Smile

YouCantTeuchThis · 19/02/2011 12:23

I'm back to shredding - I was on a thread, oh... September!! Blush

Anyway, back then I lost about 10lbs and inches all over. I am now heavier than I have ever been Sad and feeling miserable. I blame the fact that I haev been extremely stressed, as I have even developed patches of excema which I have had only once or twice in my life! I am exhausted and hungry all the time!!

Anyway, Day 1 Level 1 done. Felt good and I managed it all, bar a side lunges with the arms.

Am back to walking as well, most days even just for 20mins good stomp.

I am working on losing around 2 stone to start with, although it should really be 3...

febes · 19/02/2011 19:34

Am up early on Sunday morning in my shredding gear. Will let the breaky settle then am having my first go at level 2 today!! Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
