Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

Hi ijordan
your daily propoints go down when you go down a stone bracket, if you are not on the minimum of 29 (it doesn't go lower than that I mean).
you can use the weekly points how you want - use a few each day, save them up for a special occasion, whatever suits you!
I am saving mine for a night out on Saturday Smile

ijordan121 · 10/02/2011 21:47

thanks so much IHeartIona. Hope you have fun on Saturday!

androbbob · 10/02/2011 21:49

Bugger Bigger Bugger - STS this week - still that elusive 1lb off my stone escapes me! I was really not a happy bunny - I have been really good this week, worked out loads and I mean really flogged myself through three gym sessions, eaten and pointed everything but still nothing. The only thing is I was due on and bunged up if you get me, then later that day it all exited my body! Blush. My leader looked back over my card and there is a four week pattern of STS or mini gain every four weeks, so should be with me next week. Grrr. I had drunk two large glasses of water and pee'ed away very little so I should have known! I even came home and weighed out two glasses of water and it weighed over 500g which is over 1lb. So I can totally get water retention being responsible for 1lb, but even so I am upset and annoyed!

In the great scheme of things it is pretty minor but looking back at the famous spreadsheet I have only lost 4lbs since January when others have lost 6 to 10lbs plus. Feel like I am lagging behind everyone Sad

Got a busy weekend too with DS birthday on Monday - planning chinese / indian for tea - doing a WW tikka masala for me so dont go over my points. I am banning weekly points this week in a bid to lose 2 to 3lbs!

androbbob · 10/02/2011 21:51

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S Vnmum - you are a true inspiration and I am so pleased you got to goal with your current class and leader - well done!!

You are the firat Gold Member on our Thread (I am sure Kucky will be there very very soon) and the first on my spreadsheet to be highlighed in Gold!!!

Morning 'yawns'

Yes it is 3am and I'm back up a&e with dh :(

Was here for 6hrs earlier and he got cauterised and sent home

Bit he started to bleed again several times and then just after midnight he wasn't stopping and was a steady stream of blood pouring from his nose :(

So back here - has been cauterised again and now have to wait to see if bleeds again

I shall do a proper reply later but welcome newbies and androbbob sorry you didn't lose :( that pesky AF has a lot to answer to!!!!

HighHeidYin · 11/02/2011 09:20

blondes You must be shattered. Poor dh. Hope they sort it soon Sad

vnmum WOW WOW WOW! How fab for you - a HUUUGE achievement! When you think about how many people are dieting, and how many actually reach their target - it just shows what an achievement it is and how special you are. Smile

Thanks for all you comments about the 'being noticed' thing. Is interesting how people react to it. Have decided they had just left their white sticks at home Grin

Sorry cant reply to everyone individually but yay for the losers, yay for the sts'ers and aw for the puter-oners. If the latter is you, I know you won't give up. It's just a teeny weeny blip in the grand scheme of things - you will get there in the end.

I've been tres good Smile but not managed to get on here lately. The business has gone absolutely MENTAL! Which is great but a tad stressful... going to have to take on extra staff at this rate which we really don't want to do, but that's the way it is going. So been working a heck of a lot more than I usually do to help out dh. Got to go in in about an hour so need to dash.

Oh and still waiting for the dreaded SHRED....

HAVE A LOVELY DAY YOU LOVELY PEOPLE!

LoopyLa · 11/02/2011 11:42

Blondes hope your DH gets better soon - have the doctors got any idea why it happens?

No Way thank you for the confirmation that I'm not crazy I'm doing the right thing :)

Have a great day all, it IS Friday after all- yay!

hmc · 11/02/2011 11:47

Well done benben on your 1/2lb loss, and Iheart and andro on STS (anything that isn't a gain deserves a well done!). I do sympathise andro and see what you are saying about the 4lbs since Christmas and wanting it to be more.

Do you tend to eat quite a similar diet (I think we all have regular things we eat) - could you shake things up a little and change the constituent elements....perhaps you need to confuse and confound your body and wake it up a bit? (am I making any sense, lol)...try out new foods and differ any exercise regime you may have...

My friends top tip for when weight loss is levelling off is to have a week off and eat more, then go back on the diet. She swears it fires up her metabolism

Blondes - hope you and dh are okay, I trust he had the day off work today to recover. Bless you both!

hmc · 11/02/2011 11:49

Forgot to say Sweetheart good luck with your hectic weekend of helping your sister move house - you'll probably burn plenty of calories doing that and will have earnt a post move Wine

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2011 12:18

i gained 2 lbs Blush

i wont moan, it was totally my fault (and my friends steph for making me drink many cocktails/wine)

therefore i can confirm that blondes can not eat/drink all her weekies and double to 115pp in a day and lose weight

dh is still bleeding on and off :( might be going back to A&E :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2011 12:27

ijordon if you stick to 49 you may lose weigh,if you eat 115 you will gain Wink

androbbob im sorry you sts,i was gutted when i did,esp as i was so good,as i said AF has a lot to answer to

hhy glad work going well, what do you do?

loopy no doctors havnt a clue :(

hmc yes ordered to take day off, which is a bugger as se so wont be paid, but hey ho

sweetheart happy helping with moving

vnmum · 11/02/2011 13:11

hi all, Thanks for all the congratulations.

It's quite strange really, now i am officialy at goal i suddenly feel like making more of an effort with my appearence etc where before i'd just slob about in jeans and jumper with hair tied back and no make up.

androbbob commiserations about the gain, but you know it is most likely the water retention and bunged upness and if you keep on track this week there is no reason why you shouldn't have a good loss next week. RE: the bunged up bit, I was finding this and would not go for few days right up to WI, then go when i got home from WI and probably losing a lb in the process so I started having all bran with fruit for breakfast a few days before WI and i went regularly then so i was not bunged for WI.

ijordon welcome, if you are tracking your weight online it should automatically tell you when you need to drop a point

vnmum · 11/02/2011 13:12

I wonder where norma is?
Blondes hope your DH gets all sorted soon

HighHeidYin · 11/02/2011 13:14

Aw blondes At least you know what caused it. And the result of your experiment will have benefited us all Grin

dh and I run our own business selling water purification products (all very dull). Our competitors have just gone bust so we are getting all their business. Is great but has all happened rather suddenly!

Is so weird that dh is STILL bleeding. Have they no idea what is causing it?

hmc · 11/02/2011 13:21

Sorry about the weight gain blondes and try not to fret too much about your dh (easier said than done, I know)...hopefully the nosebleeds will settle soon. Hope you are both doing okay

Am missing norma too vnmum...

hmc · 11/02/2011 13:27

Forgot to ask - went to PTA pub quiz yesterday (our team put in lacklustre performance!) and the ticket price included a basket meal (very retro) - a choice of sausages and chips or chicken and chips (no healthy options there then)....for those of you with an eating out guide, any idea re how to point a medium chicken breast and medium portion of chips?

vnmum · 11/02/2011 13:34

hmc was it plain chicken breast or battered? The average for a portion of chips seems to be about 15pp

hmc · 11/02/2011 14:18

Thanks Vnmum - I'll use 15pp for the chips then. Chicken was mercifully plain not battered and I peeled the skin off!

IHeartIona · 11/02/2011 14:43

oooh just popped on to say I just had a question answered by Fay Ripley on the webchat - as it wasn't too busy!

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/02/2011 15:12

Im now the one who needs medical assistance.

Rusjhed dh up to a&e for 3rd time in less then 24hrs as bkeeding so much and had a massive clot :(

He got cauterized again and i Came over all faint.

Black spots then couldnt see anything :(

Now me laying on bed with oxygen mask on. Only me lol

hhy I sacrificed myself for you all in my exsperiment ;)

hmc least wasn't nuggets deep fried

hmc · 11/02/2011 15:55

Cripes blondes - hope the weekend improves for both of you!!!!

Lorelai · 11/02/2011 16:05

Hi all. Just popping into see how you all are. I've been good today (out and about so no choice!) but I have just had 2 giant chocoate buttons; any idea how many points? Normally I wouldn't count them but that way danger lies :)

I hope Norma reappears before we run out of space on this thread; she needs to start the new one!

wizzler · 11/02/2011 16:50

Quick catch up, while the soup simmers

Blondes... oh no... hope you and DH are ok.

VNMUM... absolutely fantastic achievement.. well done you.

Wynken.. thats an amazing loss .. 3stones, wow"

Has anyone tried eating 7 malteser bunnies in one day as a way to use 29 points..?

Lorelai · 11/02/2011 17:23

Hmm wizzler nice idea but not sure how filling they would be ;)

wizzler · 11/02/2011 17:37

Lorelai, thought if I ate enough in one day,it might put me off them and I wouldnt need WW anymore!
