Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

vnmum will keep my fingers crossed for you for getting to goal this week - I can't wait to be that near my goal!

loublout keep it up with the shred - am on day 6 and in some areas it's definitely getting easier - still hate the push ups thoughShock.

Have had a lovely day with DSs, took them to a local soft play and then spent this afternoon baking. Have been very self controlled with licking spoons etc - mainly by dumping things straight in the washing up bowl as soon as they're done with! Made some Nigella chocolate and banana mini muffins that I've pointed up on the recipe builder - only 2PPs each or 5PPs for 2 - they're gorgeous! Been v good on PPs today, had roasted butternut squash for tea instead of Jacket, 0pp's and really yummy!

Now it's Wineo'clock!

TheWindyPopper · 05/02/2011 20:17

Can any of you lovely ladies help me with this??
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/big_slim_whatever_weight_loss_club/1143302-WW-ProPoints-Plan-can-you-suggest-quick-easy-meals

Thanks

Willabywallaby · 05/02/2011 20:17

Chorizo lasagne in this house too! Went down very well with DH. Planning to do toad in the hole tomorrow from recipe online, but 200g sausages is only 4, that's one each! Might cook up the others just in case.

androbbob · 05/02/2011 21:07

Evening one and all! Thanks for all the slaps and pep talks - back on track now! Pats blondes on the shoulder in a un MN hug like fashion! Heres hoping for a 2lb loss on Weds!

wizzler - thanks for the calculator back - don't think you are getting your hands on my spreadsheet though! Oh and my ears are sore from your tweaking (although I should be used to that as it is DS form of affection to me!)

well done to vnmum - a lovely loss this week and it must feel great to betting so close to goal! I really hope you get to goal before you move as it will really inspire you to keep at it!

Well done to the other losers *blondes, lobsters, LFSusan, and anyone else I have missed!

MyMama - I was lead to believe that if the recipe book is in the last year or so you can find a conversion on the WW website.

Just caught up with losses for the last few days and updated spreadsheet - loss to date this week is 38.5lbs and there are a few other stragglers to chase up!

Early night tonight - busy day tomorrow - DD has swimming lesson at 8.30am, then church parade with Brownies and then as Horse Riding lesson at luchtime! Was planning to go to park in afternoon but the weaher forecast looks rubbish!

loubloutwinmum · 05/02/2011 22:46

Abgirl will def keep going with Shred - it hurts to walk up the stairs but am sort of enjoying it. Out of interest how many activity points do you give for the 20 min workout? I am allocating 2 but it sort of feels like it should be more!!!

Androbob - wow, combined loss of 38.5lbs is so impressive - well done one and all Smile.

vnmum hope you have a great week and keeping everything crossed that you get to goal this week.

Had a very low point day - more by accident really. The sensible thing would have been to leave the points unused but instead I have had a couple of G&T's (slimline of course)(4pp), a curly wurly (3pp) & a WW Carrot Cake (3pp)!!! Still got 5 points left today so going to go to bed before I feel like I should use them.... Night Night

LuckyLight · 05/02/2011 23:21

hiya!

my weekly stats for androbbob. Lost another 1 lb this week. So close to goal now, 1-2 more lbs to go. It's like sludging through treacle!!!! On the plus side, a random woman from my spin class who I don't know other than seeing her at spinning came up to me after the class and said I'd lost 'loads of weight'. She wanted to know how, so lucky went into a huge conversation on the benefits of propoints and WW....Blush.

How are you all doing? I'm sorry, I don't have time to read all the posts. I hope you're all still on track and doing well. I still think about you all and wonder how you are all doing. My DD1 has been a lot more settled at bedtime since I have been spending more QT with her Blush. Both my girls have had chicken pox. DD2 has it really bad, DD1 over it now.

Night night all, see you next week!!!

Lucky XXXX

NormaSknockers · 06/02/2011 09:06

Happy Sunday all Grin

How is everyone?

Glad to hear the chorizo lasagne is going down well in other households too Grin

I made the macaronie cheese with bacon from the purple Your Week book and it was an instant hit, definately going to be making that one again!

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 11:18

'sit on bench of total shame'

i was so bad yesterday - started off well, went to the gym and then met friends for lunch at tgi's

been trying to work out the pp i had and have def eaten all my weekies and prob next weeks one as well Grinso gave up in the end

3 cocktails later, then food, shared starters and had chicken strips (14) and mozzarella dippers (34 for 6) Shock between 4 of us so maybe starter was 12 for mozz as had 2 and 3 for chicken so 15

had spicy diablo pasta, basically pasta in tom sauce and chilli with brocolli and red pepper and green beans

didnt have pudding

then went to bar and had wine spriztler

off to a cocktail bar and had 3 more cocktails

then off to another pub and 2 wine spritzlers

and train home

i think i had better write off yesterday and i wont moan if i sts or gain on friday as deserve it

MyMamaToldMe · 06/02/2011 11:20

Hello all - what is this shred you all talk about? If it will help me lose weight faster I am all for it. Slightly gutted today - weighed myself and I have only lost 3 pounds - was hoping for more as I have been so good. Oh well - will keep trying.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 11:29

mymama shred

£4.99 and free P&P

NormaSknockers · 06/02/2011 11:31

Oh dear Blondes - sounds like it was fun though Wink Don't worry too much, you've got until Friday for WI? Just stick to your dailys and be sensible and I'm sure you'll be fine, lots of water to flush out the alcohol Wink Did you enjoy it though Grin

You're not alone, I had a bit if blip yesterday too, just about kept within my weeklies but I was a pig Blush But came on this morning so at least I know why IYKWIM?

Mama 3lbs loss is excellent, the healthy weight loss range is 0.5-2lbs a week. I really think you're putting too much pressure on yourself to lose this weight far too quickly. Sorry.

The Shred is from the people of The Biggest Loser, it's a DVD work out that has different levels and spans 30 days.

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 06/02/2011 11:36

Hello all

I'm afraid I'm too hungover to mention people personally. Blush

Had a MASSIVE night last night, but had the best time I've had in ages. Had normal breakfast and lunch, then ate out (chicken leg and thigh with salad a garlic mayonnaise), had wine, and seven Bacardi and Diet Cokes Shock

When I got home, also had toast with peanut butter, honey and cheese. So when I woke up this morning and tracked everytthing I ate and drank yesterday, I was convinced I would have blown it totally. Apparently still have 13 weeklies left, but I'm sure that my WI won't show loss. Don't care though - it was worth it! Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 11:37

mama 3 lb loss is fab, well done

norma it was a fab day/night, stumbled in about 11pm ,mr blondes thought it was funny to seem me semi pissed as i rarely drink :)

and in your defense, sounds like your week was like mine 2 weeks ago when needed chocolate, due to af

i shall be very good this week (apart from wed when out for a curry)

making 0 point bns soup for lunch and though would try and rein back a few pp, so going to try and not eat 29 today - i know they say to eat all pp,but tbh there is no way im gonna lose this week, so trying to salvage any damage i did yesterday

and again wed i will eat breakie and then 0 point soup all day and eat my 24 left in evening

NormaSknockers · 06/02/2011 11:39

Hoorah for fab nights out both you - sometimes you just have to say 'sod it' and have a fun night out don't you? It does you good I think Grin

Well done for tracking it all NoWay well done you!

Good thinking on the 0 soup too Blondes :)

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 11:41

'hi fives no way'

sounds as if your night was as good as mine, Grin

dh has just informed me (and i do rem now) that when i got home i made myself 2 fried eggs on toast and had a choccy bar as well as 2 stale jaffa cakes Blush so thats another 16pp i ate

'puts on hare coat and sits on bench of shame'

i dont have a hangover :) but my balls do ache on my feet :(, were numbed by Wine last night and now ache Grin

NormaSknockers · 06/02/2011 11:58

I just read that as your balls are aching Blondes nearly spat my tea out then Grin

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 06/02/2011 12:05

Norma I read balls the same way!! Thought it was my pickled brain refusing to compute!!

Ben10isthespawnofthedevil · 06/02/2011 12:08

Have signed OH up to PP. He has 48 points a day. His cooked breakfast was just 13 points so I can see that he might struggle to eat all of the points.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 12:50

ha ha,trust me blondes has no other balls apart from those on my feet - im very flat footed and balls Grin always ache after wine Wine a night out

wow at 48pp - know men get more than ladies anyway

maybe eat full fat sausages/thick bread/butter instead of low fat spread/full fat milk etc if struggling to eat all pp

HighHeidYin · 06/02/2011 12:57

Oh I was so, so bad yesterday Blush

Popped in to see my sister and ended up having 2 glasses of red wine - 8 pps. Then went out for a meal. Had 3 fishcakes (fried by the looks of it), mash (6pps) and peas (2pps). The fish cakes must have been at least 5pps each so that was another 15.

Had 2 vodka and diet cokes at the restaurant (4pps) then dh bought me a bottle of vodka for home and I had WAAAAAY too much.

All in all I estimate I used 66pps for the whole day Blush Blush Sad

So used up all my weeklys now, and have even dipped into my activity points. Gutted and am sure I have ruined any loss for Tuesday's wi. Sad Sad Sad

Sorry to moan. Is my own fault.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 13:06

'shuffles up on bench for hhy to join her'

'passes 0 point bns soup' which btw was yummy :)

oh dear, least you have pp it,im still trying to wor out mine

hope tue wi doesnt suffer too much because of it

HighHeidYin · 06/02/2011 13:14

Am sure it will blondes. I don't think I had lost this week anyway. If I sts I will be able to cope with that, but if I have put on I will be so miserable.

What an idiot!!

Thanks for the soup. Might need to live on that for the next two days Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 13:30

the wine and cocktails made it so bad, i was going to have gin and slim

'sighs'

only 66pp? thats good Grin

just worked out i had 105 yesterday Blush

minus 29 for days, so thats 76 over - minus my 49 weekies - leaves 27

minus 8 for gym (fri and sat) = 19 - im just having 0 point soup for lunch so that saves 12

so got 7 over eaten which i will try and rein back by having 2 less a day

course all my workings out gets ruined by wed as out for a curry in evening

'blondes bangs head on table'

there really is no hope for me - i shall be drinking driving and having diet coke wed eve

btw how can you add/use exrecise pp on calculator?
