Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

Mmm, so much for struggling with 48 PP. A snickers and a packet of crisps with planned roast pork dinner and cheese sandwich look like they have taken them up exactly Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 14:44

cheese is so bad but so nice

HighHeidYin · 06/02/2011 15:17

sparkle101 · 06/02/2011 16:18

So is there space on this bench for my slightly large bum!

I too have sinned, went out on Friday for my birthday day (which should have been the month before but DD had other plans). Had steak and eggs for brekkie, lemon cake for lunch and a three course meal for dinner inc profiteroles at the end. 88 pp total for the day! Blush

But in good news I turned down the frappicino (sp?) and a kfc for lunch and I had a jacket pot instead of chips, left two profiteroles and had a small glass of wine instead of large so think it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow WI did loads of exercise in prep for friday so we shall see!

androbbob · 06/02/2011 16:23

Willabywallaby · 06/02/2011 16:41

I hope everyone enjoyed their nights out!

Made toad in the hole for lunch from WW, big failure Sad

sweetheart · 06/02/2011 16:58

Afternoon all, mega post coming up as I can see I've a lot to catch up on

well done to all the losses

Blones - I use my 10 points a day on fruit and yogurt for brekfast and I usually have crackers with light philli and wafer thin ham for lunch. Sometimes I have an afternoon snack of a ww cereal bar or something and then just eat fruit the rest of the day

loub - I love having pizza with salad - we have it once a week here. I now prefer to have half a normal pizza than one of the ww ones as they seem to have rocketed in points under the new system. Sorry to hear the kids are still sick.

vnmum - fingers crossed for you to hit gold!

abgirl - well done for making cakes without licking the spoon, there is no way I could do that!

blondes - glad you had a good night out, put it to the back of your mind and move on. |Don't let it spoil the rest of your week.

High and sparkle too - ok so you've all had nights out BUT at least you've pointed it all up - if nothing else it's a great learning experience.

I feel a bit bad posting this now in light of your sins but I'm going to polish my halo and carry on.

So, we went out for dinner on Friday night. I had planned to come home stupid drunk as it was our 1st night out this year but I only had 8 vodka's in the end and cam home fairly sober. I also managed to stay within my daily's food wise by planning what I was eating in advance and staying clear of pudding. We took the kids to McDonalds at lunchtime and I even brought myself a low point sandwich before we went in so I wasn't tempted.

Then last night we were out for dinner again so I was good all day and made myself designated driver for the evening which meant I didn't drink anything at all. I had prawns and scallops for starter as I knew they were low point and then liver and mash for main - it was bloody yum! The sauce was red wine and port so probably a few points. Some guests madew cupcakes for the birthday girl's cake and I ate one calculating it at a massive 13 points!

Having added it all up though I think I've still got about 19 of my weekly points left this week.

Off to cook a roast dinner now. Bearing all that in mind I have been hoping to sts this week. If I do put on I will be majorly peed off that I behaved myself on 2 nights out when I could have been downing tequila shots!

HighHeidYin · 06/02/2011 17:53

We seem to have synchronised our boozy nights out now too Grin

Willaby what happened to your toad in the hole?

sweetheart well done on being good. You may proudly shine your halo!

I am starving. Why does that happen after a night on the booze? Haver eaten tonnes of fruit but could still eat a horse.

bigTillyMint · 06/02/2011 18:19

Ben10 can I ask how old/tall/heavy your DH is? I was wondering how many points my DH would get if he did it. There is no way he would actually go to the meetings!

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 06/02/2011 18:45

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome! Have been away for the weekend at my parents house, luckily mum is my partner in crime for ww so no temptation there!

I was interested in hhy post about feeling good about weight loss this time, I definitely feel the same. I need to start upping my activity level now the weather has cleared up a bit - was going to do buggyfit, but the local group is only on the days that my DD1 is at home with me rather than when she's at nursery, so can't. Might check out this shred thing, although have never had much success at making myself do exercise videos, much better at going to a class that I have signed up to as then I feel guilty for not going!

wizzler · 06/02/2011 20:00

Ben10 I love your name, and agree with the sentiment.
Noway, how come I get Hmm comments about my pie and pea supper, but no one mentions your peanut, honey and cheese on toast combo?
Blondes, Hi and Sparkle, did you hear the Gary Barlow interview on radio 2 where he talked about losing weight. Said he had one day a week where he ate what he wanted, theory was that a) it was easy to live with a diet like that and b) body wouldnt think you were starving it, and so release fat more easily on other days, (please dont tell my leader I said that!!)
Sweetheart, 8 vodkas and you were fairly sober? Shock

bigTillyMint · 06/02/2011 20:04

wizzler when I lived in Sheffield, we ate alot of curry, chips and kebabsWink

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 20:11

willy what happened to your toad? did the holenot rise?

sweetheart WEAR YOUR HALO WITH PRIDE!!!! you deserve it

wizzler i like that diet Grin

made my chicken special for tea 6pp

sweetheart · 06/02/2011 20:14

Do you know what, I was actually saying to dh on the way home last night that this weekend has made me realise just how much booze I normally put away on a night out and it's actually quite scary! Usually those vodka's would have been doubles and I was drinking them slowly to try and make the most of them, we'd usually have shots too. Last night the couple next to us at dinner sunk 2 bottles of wine and I could easily drink that too - no wonder I turned into such a fat heffer! It's also highlighted how many calories I'd normally eat. I've been good for 3 days knowing I was having a huge evening meal - normally I would have still had a McDonalds for lunch or something equally fattening before a meal out!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 20:16

yep booze is empty calories and yesterday was the first time i have drunk since nye

sweetheart · 06/02/2011 20:17

Wizzler - I totally agree with the GB comment. When I was in maintenance I used to follow the diet Mon - Fri and then have whatever I wanted Sat & Sun.

It's a similar priciple to the Wendy diet which is pretty much the same as ww but you vary your points level each day between a really low points day and a really high points day so that your body doesn't go into starvation.

sweetheart · 06/02/2011 20:19

blondes - same here and I have to say that very fist sip of vodka tasted bloody amazing!

HighHeidYin · 06/02/2011 20:21

wizzler that's interesting re the Gary Barlow diet (wonder if he'll bring a book out Grin)

Will see what happens on tuesday. I've cut back on my pps today slightly but am so starving am going to have to go eat something Hmm

sweetheart I'm the same re drinking. Used to drink a lot - wine most evenings just purely out of habit. I don't have a sweet tooth and never eat pastry or anything fried. Is definitely drinking that has given me a weight problem.

No more though! Feeling a lot more positive and determined to knuckle down and get to my first 5%.

ShouldersBackAndNoBiscuits · 06/02/2011 20:35

See, I've always wished I drank more so I could cut out the empty calories... sadly I am almost teetotal so can only blame the entirely calorific snack habit I've developed over the last few years!

wizzler · 06/02/2011 20:36

Hi..was that a "talk me out of the biscuit I am craving" cry for help ? Eat fruit, or a ww biscuit, or have drink of tea or something ? At least then you can go to bed feeling a bit virtuous!

HighHeidYin · 06/02/2011 20:37

I guess it must be easier to cut out alcohol than food! Never thought of it like that shoulders
