Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

Mine is that type too with a bit of gospel and spiritual thrown in too - it's really good fun !

froot · 04/02/2011 20:17

Chorizo lasagne recipe on here somewhere few pages back or google it with the word weightwatchers and you will find it !!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/02/2011 21:19

pudenda hopefully this will work chorizo lasagne

loubloutwinmum · 04/02/2011 22:02

Hi Ladies,

Tough few days with sickly DD's but survived and have resisted bad food, just. I was craving for a take away last night but DH went to supermarket and bought some pizzas and found me a lovely WW pizza. I had it with heaps of salad and it was lovely.

Wow at all the great losses!

[Abgirl] am on only day 2 of Shredding - OMG it is tough but determined to try and stick to it. Not sure how only 20 mins of exercise can be so painful! But no pain no gain I guess.

Will catch up on other posts over the weekend hopefully! Hopw you all have great weekends and enjoy yourselves - but not too much!!

LittleFriendSusan · 04/02/2011 22:58

Gosh this thread moves quickly!! Been really busy with one thing or another this week so not logged on since last Friday - how many posts?!!

Too much for me to comment individually, but well done to all the losers this week!

Androbbob I find if I have a bigger breakfast & good lunch, I don?t eat so much in the evening. I like my porridge & fruit for breakfast on work days, banana mid-morning, soup & roll or bagel or similar for lunch & salad & LF yogurt. Fruit mid afternoon and then evening meal. I rarely eat after dinner, but do sometimes treat myself to a couple of squares of chocolate (I?ve been buying Schogetten from Lidl / Aldi ? 2 squares = 1pp according to the online tracker).

Blondes well done on 2 stones lost! That?s my eventual target ? would be comfortably within healthy BMI range then, but towards the top end. I?m very big boned (massive hands and shoulders!) so I look ill if I go too low?

Lobsters I wouldn?t be too worried about small loss on the scales as its obviously working if your clothes fit better ? as others have said, muscle is heavier than fat?

Abgirl yum yum, meatballs & crumble! We?ve had lamb meatballs twice this week ? very nice!

HHY I know just what you mean to be happy to be doing something about it ? I?d been feeling quite miserable and uncomfortable in myself, but am more confident and happy just for having taken that first step?

Froot I like the sound of mushrooms on toast with Philly lite ? may have to try that one! How do you cook them?

Chorizo lasagne ? we had this the other night and was very nice, but we just used tinned tomatoes with garlic & herbs instead of a jar of sauce, which made it even lower in points. Would cook squash for bit longer next time I think (DP made it and followed timings to the minute! But my oven is not great?) and probably make my own cheese sauce or use LF crème fraiche or similar as I really don?t like the taste of packet sauce?

Am impressed with all the inches lost between you all! I took my measurements last week so will wait till I?ve been doing it a month and measure again. My stomach is definitely flatter already and I think I have lost a bit from my calves too as boots looked looser today! Not bad considering I?m only on my 3rd week.

I lost 2lb at WI on Monday - happy enough with that tbh as was wrong TOTM so I always get bloated - and had eaten (well, should I say drunk Blush) all of my weekly points & the few activity points I earnt.

I am feeling really windy and a bit bloated today (sorry if TMI!) ? I think it might be that we?d been eating lots of fish & veggie meals but have had more bread and red meat these last few days. Will switch back to veggie for few days I think and see?

Not sure how this week will turn out... I am going to a friend's for dinner tomorrow night. She knows I'm doing WW and so is doing something fairly low-fat (she did tell me what, but I can't remember!), but I have said I'll bring a pud. Really fancied the rhubarb cheesecake in this month's Delicious, but that worked out at a whopping 17PP per slice (based on 12 servings). So have opted for the rhubarb crumb cake instead, which is a slightly more respectable 10PP! Will dilute wine with soda water so should still stay within my points (have only used 3 of my weeklies so far).

froot · 04/02/2011 23:29

lfs just fry them in some frylight and when cooked stir in a blob of Philly light - really nice with a bit of garlic too ! And with a fried egg on top if you can spare the points ....

No mushrooms for me tomorrow though as am working so take a hard boiled egg and muesli bar to eat at about nine - if i eat breakfast toooo early am starving by twelve .Shame hard boiled eggs so stinky I dont think I am very popular at work when I eat it in the staffroom .....

Lindt salt chocolate my fave as two hits in one - choc and salt - it is heavenly and couple of squares quite low points sorry can't remember what but worth it !! Even one square is enough as quite rich .

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/02/2011 08:39

MORNING ALL

is norma ok - she hasnt popped on recently?

anyone got the website for nutritional info on tgi?

as things i fancy on the menu are not in the eating out guide plus often eog is wrong Angry

off to the gym to kick arse :) then to tgi for food and Wine

LeeWT · 05/02/2011 09:37

Ooh chorizo lasagne sounds gorgeous I'm going to try that for sure!

Now I know I said I'd leave my scales in the garage but the last two nights I've been peeing like mad.. Like old lady peeing liters type thing (tmi haha) so couldn't resist checking the scales this morning and I'm 4.5lbs lighter than WI day!

I know half of that may be back on by WI day next week but it really motivated me to be good for the rest of the week as I needed some encouragement after a very stressful week. Burning toast stresses my DH therefore when he's very stressed at work or the kids are crying he's an absolute NIGHTMARE to live with - he is completely unable to control his bad moods despite me imploring him to try and put me first when I'm struggling with anxiety etc. He's the sweetest man in the world but really quite selfish.

Anyway maybe I have him to thank as I am pretty sure I'll get my second silver seven after all!

Friends coming to stay and next doors dog would be a better cook than me so going to order from gorgeous Thai place (Thai-tanic, geddit?) and use some of my weeklies!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and stay on track as much as poss!

I can't remember was it Norma or someone else who recommended eating proper food for your daily allowance and taking treats out of weekly to avoid hunger - but def works better thanks!

dearprudence · 05/02/2011 11:22

Thanks for the chorizo lasagne tips. I'm putting this on the menu for tonight, but will adapt to use home-made tomato sauce and cheese sauce like LittleFriendSusan.

LeeWT there's nothing more motivating than a loss, is there? I've been exactly the same on my scales (to the quarter pound) every day for over a week. Today, a pound less.

Enjoy tgi blondes. I tried to log on to a nutritional info website but shut down my internet explorer.

froot Sounds like we good be in the same choir!

Have a nice weekend everyone. Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/02/2011 11:26

leewt that was me who said that, eat 29pp healthily, snack on fruit bewteen meals and take treats out of 49

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/02/2011 11:27

pue thanks, i did have a look as well :(

lee forgot to say, wallop your dh,tell him that kids cry and he needs to be more supportive

vnmum · 05/02/2011 12:22

well done Blondes on your loss, i know you were dissappointed last week.

well done to all other losers too, i have been intermittently catching up with thread while dissappearing off to do jobs so can't remember all personal details.

I rang my leader today to discuss setting my goal weight. I am 0.5lb off the top of my healthy bmi range. I am quite large framed so am setting my goal in the upper bit of my healthy range(also it will mean i can stop paying at WW but still lose more if i want). So i am hoping to reach goal within the next 2 weeks which will mean i will become gold member before i move which is what i wanted.

bigTillyMint · 05/02/2011 12:54

Well done to all the losers - glad to hear you've you've got to 2 stone off blondesWine
Anyone know how many pp's in Marigold Swiss vegetable bouillon powder? It used to be 1 I think for a tsp in a cup of hot water - like soup in a cup!

dearprudence · 05/02/2011 15:45

bigTillyMint The online database says Swiss bouillon powder is zero.
vnmum I would love to be anywhere near my healthy BMI. How much have you lost?

I just played tennis with DS - only messing about, but it must count as low impact exercise at any rate.

vnmum · 05/02/2011 16:21

dearprudence I have lost 3st7lb so far. I will probably want to lose abit more but at least i am now healthy and can save some money by not having to pay to go to group when i get to goal. I only have 1.5lb to lose to get to goal so really hoping i get it on thursday

Littlefish · 05/02/2011 16:34

vnmum - I didn't realise you were so near goal. That's fantastic. Good luck with the last 1.5lb this week. What a brilliant achievement it will be!

bigTillyMint · 05/02/2011 17:09

DearP thanks Grin

vnmum well done and good luck Smile

vnmum · 05/02/2011 17:19

Thanks littlefish and BTM.
I am so much more confident now. I actually got measured for a new bra yesterday and i have lost 3in from around my back and 1 cup size.

It has been a long journey but I am so pleased to have got so close to the end, problem is I seem to be starving this week and visited my parents yesterday and had lunch out and a takeaway for tea so have used most of my weeklies already. But I am determined to stay on track and get my goal.

loubloutwinmum · 05/02/2011 17:21

I think the 30 Day Shred may actually kill me!!!!!

wizzler · 05/02/2011 17:21

Evening ladies.
My glamorous evening out tonight consists of a pea and pie supper at the tennis club quiz night. Have been v good today, to build some points up for this extravaganza:

At least when its a pea and pie supper, I wont spend hours trying to work out what is the lowest PP option : its basically pie and peas, or peas and pie!

Am trying not to be too Envy at Lee's thai, and Blondes at TGI.

bigTillyMint · 05/02/2011 17:24

wizzler, never heard of pea and pie supper - is it mushy peas and chip-shop pie, or an upmarket petit pois and venison pie do?Grin

wizzler · 05/02/2011 17:29

Big Tilly, its somewhere between the two! Its mushy peas, but the pie is steak pie from a farm food shop.. and delish! Standard fare in Sheffield in the winter months!!!

MyMamaToldMe · 05/02/2011 17:43

Hello all - hope you are all having good weekends so far. Weigh in for me tomorrow. Kind of looking forward to it as I think I have lost a little. Well done to all those that have lost!

I have a question which I am hoping you more experienced ProPoints people can answer - I got 2 WW cook books out the library today, but they use the old points system. How do I convert old points to PP?

dearprudence · 05/02/2011 19:06

Good luck for tomorrow MyMama. I'm not sure you can convert total points, but if you recreate your favourite recipes online you could calculate the pp that way.

Chorizo Lasagne made and eaten. I totally loved it. DS picked out the pasta and just ate that Hmm and DH said it was 'nice, yeah' a bit non-commitally.

vnmum that's an impressive weight loss! You'll be at target in no time.

froot · 05/02/2011 19:28

Out to a restaurant where will be nibbles type non pp friendly food in a mo so have just eaten a bowl of whole small mushrooms boiled in stock to fill me up first . Was a knorr cube but poured all the liquid away so I think points free soup alternative ? Was delicious too.

Am feeling motivated as seem to be losing again ! Worked all day home at six quick 30 mins on treadmill quick bowl of mushrooms super speedy shower and hair wash now just waiting for my lift !
