Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

HighHeidYin · 31/01/2011 21:40

Hehe no apology needed. There - have made it easier now!

androbbob · 31/01/2011 21:43

Better!

HighHeidYin · 31/01/2011 21:50

Grin feel like am wearing a brand new outfit!

McDreamy · 31/01/2011 21:52

Hi everyone!

First weigh today and I have lost 5lbs! I am so chuffed as I had a bit of an emotional day, shall we say, yesterday! Anyway I feel really motivated to keep going this week!

HighHeidYin · 31/01/2011 21:57

That's absolutely brilliant mcdreamy!

NoWayNoHow · 31/01/2011 21:57

Hello ladies!

Well done on all the losses, it's so amazing to see! You're all brilliant!

WI tomorrow, still have 30 weeklies left, so I'm hoping I'll have lost. Haven't weighed myself all week (that's a first for me), but AF has my tummy feeling very jelly bellied, so am doubtful about losing...

This time in 2wks I'll be on a plane somewhere where I have to show my body in the sun, so I'm going to be super, stupidly good the next couple of weeks. Want to do exercise, but feeling really poorly with sore throat and cough, and just can't face it. Sad

NormaSknockers · 31/01/2011 22:07

Evening all,

Just running in quickly to report 1.5lbs off this week taking me to my first stone off since starting back at the meetings Grin

Laptop is doing some odd disc clearing thing so only on my phone at the moment, I'll catch up late tomorrow morning/early afternoon :)

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2011 07:18

mcdreamy well done on fab weight loss

noway good luck with WI today

norma well done on loss and brill you have made your 1st stone since meetings :)

tuesdays is often my snack downfall day as madly dashing about with dc, but i have my parsnip soup (made yesterday) so that will hopefully save me

bigTillyMint · 01/02/2011 07:22

Morning all!

3lb off at WI last nightGrin I'm sure at least a pound of that should have shown last week!

And I made sensible choices on my 2 meals out yesterday and stayed within my 29 points!

Well done McD, and good luck Noway. I was just finishing a period last week, so I think that's why it didn't show - you might get the same, but keep strong!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2011 07:32

BTM* well done on 3 lbs loss :)

HighHeidYin · 01/02/2011 07:59

Morning! Oh well done to all you losers! Absolutely fantastic! The stats spreadsheet will be overloaded lol.

Wi for me tonight (gulp) and first night as helper (double gulp).

I have ankles!!! Noticed yesterday.I am normally very prone to retaining fluid especially in the morning. But have discovered ny ankles are very shapely for the first time in years!

My ring is def looser too. So things are happening! All very exciting Smile

Lorelai · 01/02/2011 08:35

Well done mcdremy, tilly and norma!

Blondes; have you got fruit handy for those snack attacks?

Good luck for WI tonight HHY!

Littlefish · 01/02/2011 09:33

Wow - some fantastic losses here. Well done everyone. What great progress.

Sorry not to post for a few days - it's been manic around here!

I'm weighing in tonight, so I'll be back later to report in.

I'm just off for a delicious breakfast of mushrooms on toast, with soft cheese stirred in. Yummy. (6 pro points)

vnmum · 01/02/2011 10:22

wow, there has been some good losses this week so far. well done to you all and well done to sparkle on getting your 5%. when i got my 10% last week i had to give abit of a story about my journey so far and to be honest i had to stop myself from tearing up. funny isn't it, I never thought losing weight would make me so emotional.

Norma would you be able to post the chorizo lasagne recipe please? I haven't got the book and don't see myself being able to get it for a few weeks

loubloutwinmum · 01/02/2011 10:42

Morning Ladies,

Wow, great losses for Futurity, Starvin Marvin, Mumto2, BigTillyMint, McDreamy Grin

highheidy - thanks, yes I am really chuffed with my progress and am setting my sights on the 2 stone milestone! I have bought a cheap pair of size 14 jeans and they fit very comfortably so I am chuffed.

Bluebump 1.5lb for me too this week. I have ordered the Shred DVD - do you think it helps. LeeWT let us know when you start the Shred DVD and we can compare notes.
Norma another 1.5lb loss - that is great.
Sparkle - well done on getting to 5% Smile

Well, I am feeling very stressed because I am going out for a work lunch today! It was delayed from Xmas due to the snow and I was due to go when off plan for a week and indulge. However, feel very differently now. A 3 course meal has been ordered - it is at Cafe Rogue and it is crab cakes, then lamb shank and then creme brulee!!! Arghhh... Imagine the points - don't even know where to start working points out. Plan to NOT eat it all and drink no alcohol!!!! Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/02/2011 11:39

Lou well done on loss and for getting into 14 jeans

lorelai apple on school run before breakie and just had banana before Tumbletots - parsnip soup for lunch and grapes after school run before netball

hhy my ring was loose and had to take off or would have lost it

androbbob lots of stats for your worksheet :)

'dribbles' at thought of lamb shank - I'm going to have that next month for our wa ;)

NoWayNoHow · 01/02/2011 12:06

Hoo-bloody-ray! 1.5lbs lost! Celebrated with a toasted tea cake for brunch!

Leader made some really good points (pardon the pun!) this week, which I thought were quite relevant considering some of the posts.

She said that guilt is a destructive emotion, and there shouldn't be ANY guilt for using up our weekly 49, as that's what they're there for. She also added that we are all adults, and that as such we should be allowed to put fuel into our bodies without feeling bad about it - and that the 49 form part of the fuel, as the dailies + weeklies = CALORIE DEFICIT!

So let's all eat our 49, spend it on curry and fish 'n' chips an be happy about it! Grin

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2011 12:22

Afternion all,

Laptop still not up & running but hoping it will be soon, not abandon

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2011 12:27

Bloody phone it has a mind of it's own Angry

HHL what ate you helping out with at the meetings? I'm a weigher at the moment but my leader is making a rota so that all of us clerks rotate from weigher/shop/signing in etc so will be doing s bit if everything soon. My meeting starts at 7pm but I get there about 6 & help set everything up first, the bonus is you get weighed first Grin

Don't be nervous, just smile & be chatty you'll do great! Enjoy it & have fun! Grin

Well done to all the losers Wink

vnmum yes of course I will, as soon as laptop is up & running I'll post the recipe for you Grin

Morning all, right time to do a proper catch up as I haven't for a while,

loub - mega impressed at eating out and getting 1.5Ib off - well done! I'm going to Pizza Express on Friday night - any tips on what to eat? I tried looking online but YET AGAIN the list on the ww website doesn't match the menu - Angry On the work lunch either eat half the portions OR call the restaurant and ask for something different. I felt a bit stupid doing it for a work lunch a few weeks ago but so glad I plucked up the courage to do it - with the help of the lovely ladies on here of course Grin

sparkle SLAP hope you have managed to get back on track by now - couldn't resist the slap, sorry! Grin

lorelai sounds like you had a lovely weekend, can't wait to see your WI result!

lee stay strong and try to surround yourself with good food - remember how brilliant you were during the hospital visits and draw strength from that!

high good luck as a helper

andro brilliant stats! Let's hope we can keep it up!

McD 5Ibs, wow well done!

Noway so Envy of your holiday! Well done on the loss.

Norma well done on your loss!

bigTM it's great to see that you can eat out and still lose weight. I'm out twice thsi weekend and was hoping to sts but a loss would be fab!

blondes netball! I play too, well I did until I buggered my knee, hoping to get back to it asap but looks like it will be a year Sad what level do you play at?

well done to all the other losses I've missed.

So had sil's birthday last night, didn't drink, my bil made Chilli so I could point it and had the most tiny piece of cake. I haven't eaten my weeklies again this week so I figured I could take it out of that.

With regards to weekly's - this is my 4th week and each week I've used about 5 of my weeklies. I know my body and I know that if I was eating them each week there is no way I would be losing weight. I have WI tomorrow but I will be really interested to see what happens next Wed as I am out for 2 meals this weekend and will have to dip much further into my weeklies than I ever have before.

I know the guilt feeling only too well. I've had a KFC and a chicken kebab this week and I feel extreamly guilty and as though I shouldn't lose any weight. Hopefully as I've used my daily's I should show a loss - fingers crossed as I'd like to get both my 5% and lower stone this week!

Heading off to the gym in a min and tomorrow I'm giving a Zumba class a go. Not sure I'll be able to do it with my knee injury but worth a shot at least.

Good luck everyone today

sweetheart · 01/02/2011 12:28

OMG that was a mega post - sorry! Grin

NormaSknockers · 01/02/2011 12:28

Excuse the spelling/grammar errors, flipping predictive text!

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 01/02/2011 12:30

Well done noway!

lou, try to point what you eat - it could well all come out of your daily / some weekly and then just eat 0 ponts food for the rest of the day!

going · 01/02/2011 12:39

Thanks for all of your encouragement ladies. I feel a bit embarresed as I have actually managed to lose 2lbs this week. Wnet back to the gym today after about 10days of not going and can really feel it!

Everyone seems to be doing so well t's a lovely group to be part of!
