Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

Blondes that was very restrained of you. DS keeps asking to go to a chinese restaurant as they are talking about chinese new year at school. we have said we will try to take him to a buffet style one when we are moving as he likes all the starters, but i'm not sure i would be able to be as restrained as you. i just love all the nibbly starters and duck rolls and they are so high in points

NoWayNoHow · 30/01/2011 10:54

blondes you were exceedingly well behaved! Well done you!

froot, when I went away for DH's 40th without DS, I'm afraid all memories of him were drowned out by pool, sun, calamari, cocktails and loads of illicit ciggies! Guess I'm a crap mum too!! Grin

You'll be so happy to see them when you get back, but enjoy your couples time for now!

Well, have discovered that the pub I'm going to for lunch is Brewers Fayre, so thought I was onto a winner with it at least being in the Eating Out guide. Oh, wait, surprise surprise, the menu online is different to the Eating Out guide.

I give up. Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 11:07

starvin hope new scales work in your favour :)

poppy welcome

vnmum fab news about boots and jackets fitting better - im still not in my trousers but will one day ........

sparkle ouch at 17pp for a pie Shock well done for resisting!!!

noway ((hugs)) dont despair - it was one day - plus 42 weekies with 2 days to go is amazing!!!! have a jacket pot, no cheese in pub, prob the easiest to pp, have some 0 point soup before you go to fill a hole, so really thats 100 pp left for 2 days 29+29+42 - pizza is one of the worst things, small slices and huge points :(

androbbob def eat the 29 as proper food most days and take 2/3pp out of weekies for treats, but then guess if you are hungary if only eating 20ish of real food iyswim - if you arnt hungary then dont chnage it,as i said i dont have a sweet tooth, but yes a yog is fine for a pudding, maybe chop fruit up and pour it over?

gibberish Grin at dh hell and well done on having 2 spare pp

froot sounds a lovely weekend and reading your menu,it doesnt sound that bad, apart from wines and cocktail - and nothing wrong with not missing your kids, tbh all parents need some me time away from their dc - hope wi isnt too bad tomorrow

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 11:11

cant see how a duck pancake roll is 8/9pp Hmm - its a tiny bit of flour and water, poss egg, with tiny bit of duck and onion and cucumber

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 17:54

Monster munch 3pp

What's everyone else eaten today?

NoWayNoHow · 30/01/2011 17:59

Oh, blondes, don't even ask!!!

Pub lunch didn't happen, so DH went and got rotisseries chicken breasts instead, which we had with roast potatoes, mashed swede, broccoli, carrots and cauliflower. And 1/3 bottle of wine! I was also peckish so I had a couple of all butter onion and chive bread sticks.

Basically, it's been a 32PP days so far, and I've not had dinner yet! (soup and french stick). I figure you are all right, though - I've got the weekly points, so if I dip into them, who cares? Well, probably me at WI on Tues!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 19:27

noway why no pub lunch tho maybe it worked in your favour?

Tbh your lunch apart from chicken and pots was 0 PP - take the wine off your weekies as it's a treat and then you have a few PP to play with for tea

Soup is good if not creamy

NoWayNoHow · 30/01/2011 19:45

DH had too much work to do, and we couldn't book for our large, LARGE group, so we just decided to give it a miss rather than sit and wait 3 days for a table!

YOu're right, my lunch itself wasn't too bad (11PP), definitely better than the pub lunch would've been. But the all butter onion twists were 9PP for 3! Wine 6PP, and a 6PP breakfast this morning.

Still not hungry though, so may just have something nibbly for dins tonight if I get peckish later. Still have 37PP weeklies left, but don't want to use them just for the sake of using them (although a tiny voice in my head is screaming for chocolate and ice-cream JUST COS I CAN!!) Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 19:47

norma will say use your weekies,so indulge and have some more wine/ice cream as you have so many weekies left

gibbberish · 30/01/2011 19:54

Evening all. Been an okish day. Feeling fed up and hormonal due to totm. Wish it would flaming finish.

Still, have been fine on diet. Not gone over atall the last few days but scales still showing am a pound up. Hoping it has gone by tues and I can at least have sts.

Sorry for moaning and not responding to your posts tonight but am indulging in complete self pity.

Will be back to normal tomorrow hopefully.

Night

bigTillyMint · 30/01/2011 20:19

Well, managed to only eat 6pp's till we finally got to the Indian at 7pm!!!!!

Virtually impossible to point accurately, but I reckon I had about 40pp's in there, so that's all my daily plus about 17 off my weeklies.

Am feeling stuffed like a beached whale now, so fingers crossed for weigh-in tomorrow!

LuckyLight · 30/01/2011 20:28

Me again, just popping in. Just wanted to give you all a little extra incentive....I've just made almost £100 on ebay selling clothes that no longer fit me anymore Grin.

See you saturday for WI!!

Lucky XXX

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 20:39

gibberish totm sucks :( I found chocolate helped Friday night - feel free and wallow , we all have days like this ((hugs))

btm well done for eating low all day - seems you have done very well by only using some of your weekies 'claps'

lucky 'waves' hope dc are ok and well done on your selling

bigTillyMint · 30/01/2011 20:39

Oooh Lucky, shopping trip coming up soon then? Wink

lobsters · 30/01/2011 21:22

Hope everyone had a good weekend, I have eaten quite a lot of chocolate this weekend, but it's nearly all gone now, so hopefully that won't carry on (DH bought me big bar), but I did go for a long run/ walk, so that should have helped a little

NormaSknockers · 31/01/2011 07:21

Good morning all Grin

Hope everyone had a good weekend?

WI for me tonight, I'm really looking forward to helping out again now that I've got to grips with it :)

Good luck to anyone who has WI today!

NoWay your weeklies are there for you to use however you like so if your head is screaming for chocolate then indulge & enjoy, as long as you point it & don't go over your weeklies you'll be fine, I use mine every week & still lose Grin

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 31/01/2011 07:28

MORNING!!!!

losters enjoy the chocolate, i did friday

see, told ya norma would say that :) - though im still wary of eating all my 49 after sts last week, but i will give AF the benifit of the doubt

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 31/01/2011 07:50

Morning, hope everyone is OK. I have bought some new scales which show your body fat as a friend has some and says after the initial shock if the first reading, it is fab to see your body fat percentage shrinking. Plus they were only a tenner in Lloyds. They keep staring at me everytime I go into the bathroom, will try them later.

Had an extremely rare child free night on Saturday so DH and I went out for lunch, ham ploughmans, then Chinese in the evening. Flipping lovely it was and I do love whoever came up with the concept of weekly points.

NoWayNoHow · 31/01/2011 09:11

Morning morning! Here's a Monday wish for us all - may Aunt Flo piss off already and leave us all alone in time for our WI's!

I am swollen up like a water bed, might go by some water retention tablets to get rid before tomorrow!

Normas, I didn't have chocolate, but I DID have peanut butter, honey and cheese on toast!

mumto2andnomore · 31/01/2011 09:31

Morning all !

Just checking in with a 2lb loss today which brings me to 13lb since New Year. After the initial first week 6lb loss it seems to be 2lb a week now. Thing is I only use my daily points and havent used my weekly at all. Think if I did I would put on weight ! Dont do nearly enough exercise, just wi fit.Must try harder to do some !

Good luck everyone else.

DuplicitousBitch · 31/01/2011 10:49

hello, weigh in day for me today. lost 1 1b. was on a course thsi weekend and couldn't track which was nice tbh!

futurity · 31/01/2011 11:25

weigh in day for my first week...3lbs lost! :)

going · 31/01/2011 11:45

Well done on all the loses!!!!

I failed again this weekend. DId so well for 4 days then blew it for 2. AM back on track today but know that the weekend will have made me gain weight. I really don't know why I did it again (did the same last week).

vnmum · 31/01/2011 12:04

well done on the losses so far.

I have only 2 of my weeklies left now till thursday so am being extra good. I haven't managed to do any exercise so far though as i have just been to busy sorting stuff for the move. I hope it doesn't have a detrimental effect on thursday.

Good luck to anyone Weighing in over the next few days.

StarvingMarvin · 31/01/2011 13:06

Morning all, Good news, lost 2.2lbs this week! That gives me a total of 12.2 since New Year, and am now the 12st! Was so happy to look at scales and see 11. instead of 12. Will be even better when it says 10!

going The weekends are the hardest without a doubt. Are you tracking? I find if I plan and track all my meals in advance, leaving some points spare for any extras/treats I tend to stay on track better than if I do the tracking after eating.

furity DB mumto2 and anyone I've missed well done on losses!

Lucky Nice to see you! Wish I had £100 of clothes to sell!

I went out this morning and had a hot chocolate, not sure what to point it at, was a huge cup with semi skimmed milk, no cream. Have put it down as 6 to be on the safe side, does that sound about right?
