Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

indeed i am norma :)

i got given a free goody bag at my gym today :)

Imperial body wash, foot spray, dove body lotion, Bach rescue cream, herb drops, evening primrose, smiling gel party feet, chewing gum, 2 cereal bars, olay foundation& lenor conditioner :)

how fab is that :)

gibbberish · 29/01/2011 13:52

Hellooooooo! Mad dash in as usual...

noway I have 4 dds - two of whom are teens so there are three of us atm in the house having monthlys. Thankfully for dh our cycles are all in synch so he only has one week in the month when we are all at each other's throats - not three!

dd3 is well on her way to starting I think... talk about hormonal!

Busy, busy, busy today. Off to clean out the car and sort the garden. Hate winter gardens - mine looks so untidy and 'dead'.

Then got to get food in for this weekend. Got 7 kids for dinner tonight - I feel like the Pied Piper!

Hope you are all having a lovely relaxing day!

gibbberish · 29/01/2011 13:53

Envy at the goody bag blondes

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2011 14:06

gibberish lucky dh or his life would be hell lol

found this on ww website

It's a bit long-winded but if you have a normal pocket calculator here's the formula for Pro Points:

Protein grammes divided by 10.99
+
Carb grammes divided by 9.17
+
Fat grammes divided by 3.89
+
Fibre grammes divided by 34.48

Total = ProPoints value

seems very complicated - surely easier to by a calculator Grin

LeeWT · 29/01/2011 14:40

Hi all.. Seems like everyone is having a tough time managing weekends and real life too!

I have COMPLETELY fallen off the wagon. I had 29 weeklies left but last night had a Chinese. My last one. Even though I stayed within daily points I felt awful this morning and according to scales was 2lbs heavier..

Then today I had a large unpointable scone and 2 large pieces of belfast bap with real butter and roast ham. I've guestimated but reckon I've 8pp left for the day.

Not feeling good about next weeks weigh in but maybe if I grt loads walking in first that will help!

Good luck to everyone else with the challenges! X

LuckyLight · 29/01/2011 15:13

Just checking in to say HI, haven't had chance to read I'm afraid. Hope you're all OK. Miss you!!

androbbob for your stats sheet...0.5 lb loss for me this week.

NormaSknockers · 29/01/2011 15:15

Oh Lee don't panic, firstly STOP WEIGHING YOURSELF Wink Your weight fluctuates every single day depending on time of day, water retention, clothes and so on and so on your weight can fluctuate by as much as 2lbs so please, please don't let it put you off. Do not give up, you may be surprised by your official WI - put your scales away and do not step them again.

Ok, so you have 8PPs left for today, can you make some 0 soup? Or can you nip out and buy some WW soup and a low ready meal or something? What about your weeklies do you still have some left? If so use some of those to see you through the rest of the day.

Do not beat yourself up over this, we all fall off from time to time it's very hard not too. The important thing is to shrug it off and get back on - you can salvage this :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2011 15:52

lucky well done on loss :)

lee ditto norma, dont beat yourself up - its one day - i only weigh once a week -weight does go up and down - with 8pp left, do my chicken surprise

chop a chicken breast 4pp and some bns/courgette/peppers/onions,mushrooms slime if you like them :) and mix with a tin of tomatoes and cook in oven for 30ish mins - a yummy low fat low pp meal for 4pp

have a fruit cocktail with chopped apple/pear/banana etc for dessert

or 0 or low pp soup

StarvingMarvin · 29/01/2011 16:23

Hi everyone, Haven't checked in for a couple of days, I can't keep up!

Well done on all the losses!

I have bought some scales this week as cba to keep plugging the Wii in so not sure if I will show a loss this week as think my wii may have been slightly out but I know I have been good and have done lots of exercise so am happy with that. Even more than that I can actually see my shape changing, already feel better about myself, regardless of what the scales say!

Can't decide what to have to eat tonight, have had a salad for lunch so lots of points left!

PoppyT · 29/01/2011 16:27

Hi, Please could I join you? I joined WW last week and lost 5.5 lbs in 1st week.

I'm eating out at Frankie & Bennys next week for a friends birthday - does anyone know if this is included in the eating out guide?

I'm breastfeeding so get extra daily points but don't want to mess it up

Thanks Smile

vnmum · 29/01/2011 16:38

welcome poppy

Yes frankie and benny's is in the eating out guide. All i would say is stay away from the burgers.

vnmum · 29/01/2011 16:44

I am having a good day so far. I went out today and managed to get some knee high heeled boots, that were too tight before, on over my skinny jeans. yay. even DH couldn't beleive it, he said even when i bought them they were neat and now they are loose. I also dug out my leather jacket and before, i could get it on but it was tight over my shoulders and it didn't have a hope in hell of getting together at the front, let alone zipping up, but today it was actually loose all over. It felt really good, so to anyone who is struggling at the moment, do carry on, this feeling is worth it. I have lost 3st 4lb so far and it is so worth it.

sparkle101 · 29/01/2011 17:05

Hi Poppy

I'd stay away from the ribs as well but other stuff seems quite reasonable I would say!

Well done vnmum on the boots, that's amazing, I would love to fit into my old boots without having muffin tops! I'll get there!

lee I echo what Norma said - stop weighing yourself! (hence why my scales are hidden) I found I faced the day according to what the scales said i.e. if they were good I would be good if I thought they said something bad I would face the day eating the wrong things.

gibberish 4 DDs????? 1 is way more than enough for me, well done you and good luck with the 7 tonight!

blondes Good on you for body combat. I think I'll sitck to my calculator! But interesting seing what gets divided by what, still trying to work out what adds on most points... fibre/carbs/fat or potein!

So for dinner tonight I'm having garlic and herb chicken breasts as DH is having a pie, checked the points for pie - a whopping 17 for an indivdual one. Hmm, no thank you!

Hope everyone having a good weekend

NoWayNoHow · 29/01/2011 17:09

I am GUTTED!

DS was a total turd during lunch today, made the whole experience miserable for everyone! This is resulted in me "comfort eating" a slice and a half of my mum's left-over pizza after finishing my own arrabiata with king prawns.

Just worked out the PP now I'm home and I've basically just had a 30PP lunch!! Could KICK myself for being such and emotional weakling!!! Angry

So, that leaves me with 42 weekly PP remaining to get me through tomorrow's pub lunch, as well as Monday. Just feel like I've ruined the week and will have cocked up my WI on Tuesday completel! Sad

Willabywallaby · 29/01/2011 17:20

You can salvage it I'm sure NWNH.

I've just fudged the figures on the online tracking to use up all my weeklies, I'm sure I will tonight.

Did a Davina DVD this morning, so for once have some activity points.

Hope the weekend's going well Grin

NoWayNoHow · 29/01/2011 17:34

Maybe I should do some Davina tomorrow am before the party - it can only help! I do love her DVD (the one with kick fit, top fit, etc), it's the only exercise DVD I've ever been able to maintain!

sparkle101 · 29/01/2011 18:01

NWNH

Don;t forget your daily points as well, blimey 42 points at the end of the week is excellent! Can you have no point soup/sugar free jelly and do your davina and get some extra points. Even at basic 29 points that's 61 points with weeklies. You'll be fine!!!!

Poor you for having it all messed up. But that's what the weeklies are there for!

NoWayNoHow · 29/01/2011 18:22

sparkle when you put it like that, I feel better!

I guess it's just the principle of it all - I need to be stronger willed to do this, yet today i just scoffed 15pp of pizza at the drop of a hat. Just cross with myself.

Really struggling with DS at the mo, and feeling incredibly depressed about it all, and unfortunately, food has always been my crutch, and it's just hard when you're feeling so down but you don't have that usual "adult comforter"!

androbbob · 29/01/2011 21:12

blondes - shame about your gym class. I am off to kick ass tomorrow to get a good start to the week! I hadnt realised that I had so much sweet stuff - 8PP is a lot! I will try harder next week promse! I am planning to have my treats from Wed from mmy 49 rather than my dailys. The intention is that I will have 29PP a day of proper food - would you class a yoghurt with a meal as proper food? Perhaps for snacks I should look at ryvita or oatcakes - what would you suggest?

lucky - well done another weight loss - glad you were able to pop back! Same time next week?

vnmum - how close are you to your goal now? Only a few weeks to moving hey? I hope you will still 'visit' us! Loving the boots story - hope my calves slim down so I can wear such things next winter!

starvin - I found that the wii weighed different from day to day and was a pain in the ass! Good for keeping you active though!

Had a good food day today - no snacks as out and about so loads of points left for tonight. Had a ready chinese for tea but forgo the rice as the meal was 11PP on its own Shock so had the leftover stir fry veg. Was tasty though!

Hope all busy weekends are going well - looking forward to some good WI results next wweek!!

gibbberish · 29/01/2011 22:07

blondes dh probably does think his life is hell as he is so outnumbered!

sparkles yeah 4 dds is a bit of a handful I suppose... guess I am used to it lol.

vnmum is so great hearing about how well you have done. It really spurs me on to do the same. You wouldn't think of seeing the difference with a pair of boots! I've just noticed that my ring is much looser than it was. And a skirt I often wear is definitely fitting better now too. So some small changes already!

lucky well done on the loss!

norma you talk such a lot of sense. Can you move in with me please? Grin

noway don't beat yourself up - you are still well within your points so you certainly haven't gone off track. Anyway, the more you fret the more stressed you become, and the more stressed the more you are likely to nibble... You are doing great. Just sorry you are having such a hard time with ds atm.

Been very good today. Infact still have 2 pps left from my dailys (oops) but is a bit late in the day to eat something so just going to let them go.

Busy tomorrow so won't be on until night. Have a lovely day everyone and be good!

froot · 30/01/2011 09:19

Am sat in bed at hotel listening to seagulls and looking at blue sky . Dh has gone to the gym . Have not pointed all weekend but in reverse order last night seabass and green beans no starter and one mouthful of dh dessert . BUT 2 small glasses wine and 6 gin n diet tonics, tapas for lunch with 2 sangrias and eggs benedict for breakfast .......

Friday was pretty good during day - even did shred - didn't come to hotel til 4 but had 2 large red wines three cocktails and scallop starter then steak n Chips for dinner .

Thurs night survived the buffet - one sandwich then loads raw veg n fruit .

So I really don't know if I will have put on or sts at WI tomorrow . Will have yummy brekky here ( croissant French toast with berries and maple syrup ) then off home so will be good rest of day then go on treadmill later.

Have enjoyed the weekend so worth it if I have gained will just get back to it Monday - my bf is joining ww on Monday and I will be her ww buddy as she cannot ever ever ever stick to a diet so she will need serious support - I think that will be motivating for me too !

Hope you are all having good w e too . Am ashamed to admit not missing dd or ds ...... What a crap mum !!!

PoppyT · 30/01/2011 09:23

Thank you, I'll buy a copy at WI this week & then I can point my meal before we go.

Good luck to everyone for this weeks weight loss. I've not read the whole thread properly yet - I usually read when I'm doing the night feeds so will try to get through it tonight & hopefully pick up some tips.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/01/2011 10:46

last night was a semi disastrous - all you can eat chinese for mil birthday - i mainly stuck to lemon chicken and also had beef noodles and 2 chicken balls

but didnt have duck pancake rolls or rice or anything in a creamy sauce

i also only had one plate and everyone else went up for 2nds/3rds

diet coke all night - think it came to roughly 25pp so dipped into my weekies

vnmum · 30/01/2011 10:49

Morning all, just popping in before getting more boxes packed.

Androbbob I am 7lb away from WW goal but am thinking i would probably like to lose a further 7 - 14lb after that but alot depends on how i look in the mirror really. I have 3 weeks till i move so i will probably put some on over the move period due to having to eat out or takeaways for a few days when we have no kitchen stuff to use, but i have my eating out guide and am planning on trying to stick within my points as best i can.

I will still visit this thread don't worry. I may go offline for a few days over the move but i can access MN on my phone so should be ok until broadband gets turned on.

Froot glad you've had a good weekend. You sometimes need to just completely relax and enjoy yourself
