Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

DuplicitousBitch · 28/01/2011 14:35

noway are you using firefox? i can't see the right hand of the screen in firefox i have to use explorer

gibbberish · 28/01/2011 16:06

Just dashing in before I leave the office...

Sorry about you sts the blondes. What a pain. Do you find that your body works on a 2wk cycle? I sometimes discover that whatever I do in a week doesn't show any results until two weeks on....

iheart well done for the loss Grin

Quick question - anyone have any idea how much a chicken ceasar salad would be?? Just had one at Franky and Bennys. Stuck it in tracker as 12 as a guesstimate. Am flipping starving now so hoping it wasn't more than that.

sparkle101 · 28/01/2011 16:10

gibberish eating out guide says 11.

gibbberish · 28/01/2011 16:24

Oh that's brill thanks sparkle Smile

Have 9 points left so enough for a snack tonight thank goodness!

Lorelai · 28/01/2011 16:45

Does anyone know how many points a vegetable korma would be? We are having a takeaway tomorrow night with friends, I haven't used any weekly points so should be ok but it would still be good to know what the damage will be.

bigTillyMint · 28/01/2011 16:50

DP, I have been finding exactly the same - STS for 2 weeks despite ecercise and not using all 49pps, but to be fair, I wasn't pointing everything rigorously and truthfully. Could this be your problem?

I am trying much harder this week, so I am hopeful for at least half a pound off, but as I have 2 meals out before then, who knows!

sparkle101 · 28/01/2011 17:35

Lorelai

Eating out guide has chicken korma at 24 prawn korma at 22 so I would guess about 18? Don't take my word for it though!Ve curry is 15 and korma is creamier?

Mmmmmm Indian takeaway.........

NoWayNoHow · 28/01/2011 18:18

Duplicitous, no not using Firefox, using Google Chrome. Haven't any problems in the last two weeks with it though - just today!

Littlefish · 28/01/2011 18:33

Hello ladies. No time to stop tonight. I'm off out for dinner with friends tonight (one of them is Furball, who was on this thread until recently), and then tomorrow, I'm meeting other friends for fish and chips.

Any idea what I should eat from the chippy? Does chicken tikka meat with salad and a few chips sound reasonable? How many points do you reckon it would be?

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 20:24

db you you never eat weeklys or you gain?

gibberish dont know about a 2 week cycle - will see what happens next week

lorelai 15 pp for a veggie curry but not sure about korma, as thats cream and BAD!!!

BTM sorry you sts , but in my defense i ppointed everything and didnt go over iyswim - lets hope we both lose next week :)

littlefish have a nice meal - eating out guide says battered chicken and chips 19

norma i indulged with one of your prizes in the bath :)

the blondes are having a night in with hustle then TB 'swoons' with a chicken shish kebab 9pp

wizzler · 28/01/2011 20:37

Had a nightmare day! Out to lunch, and there was no salad: everything came with cheese and potatoes. I wne tfor what I thought was the best option ( chicken with cranberries and brie), and skipped desert. Back on the tracker tomorrow.
Sparkle: aren't there any different meetings you could go to ? with a leader you like?
Blondes : chin up... STS is better than putting on. Know you are down, but dont give up.. you know it makes sense to keep at it

Lorelai · 28/01/2011 21:14

I know it's bad blondes, but oh so good as well! Points don't seem too bad; a lot better than I thought!

androbbob · 28/01/2011 21:46

blondes - I hope you kicked ass at the gym and it made you feel better! I do not mind you pointing out about snacks / treats at all - it is so bloomin obvious I missed it!

Today was a bit wierd - we usually have bacon butties on a friday morning (I usually have toast only and vut down to dry toast ant my own WW jam) but as we moved offices they wouldnt deliver. We had all assumed we would be able to continue as normal, but no! So I had a small breakie as usual and took in a small lunch - needless to say I had to drink loads of water to fill myself up!

Today I have had:

Yoghurt Smoothie (Yog & milk) 3PP
Fruit for snack

Small veg curry 3PP
2 yoghurts 3PP
1 pkt WW crisps 2PP

stir fry veg and sauce 1PP
Chicken breast 3PP
Small Spaghetti 3PP
Light Choc Mousse 2PP

2 crumpets & jam 5PP
Hot choc 1PP

So I have 4PP left that will just go!

Need to have more fruit and veg though!!

Hope all have a great weekend and those with In-Law visits and meals out - take care!!

loubloutwinmum · 28/01/2011 22:06

Wow, hard to keep up with this thread! Well Sparkle I did resist the cup cakes but she had made the most gorgeous chocolate sandwich cake! It had butter icing & chocolate icing on top!! I had a skinny slice & pointed it as 11 as a guess -do you think that's ok?? Well done on you silver 7 sparkle, your leader doesn't sound very motivational! Least you have all the lovely ladies on here to give you a boost!

Cooked gorgeous tea tonight. Fish stew made with salmon, monkfish, prawns & squid in a pepper, chilli & tomato sauce! Really tasty & only 3 points per portion. I had some pasta with it & was so filling & a great low option after the chocolate cake!

I am struggling with exercise at the moment, need to get into a routine! Just watched Embarassing Bodies, blimey, that's enough to put you off your food! Got a really busy, social weekend ahead so feel it will be a challenge! Hope you all have lovely weekends.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 22:17

androbbob Yes I kicked arse at boxercise this am :) I do find it very therapeutic :)

The class will only run for one more week unless can find a new time slot / they do it mon+wed evebut at 6pm too early as still at work :(

I've asked if the gym will do a boxercise class on a sun am ............

Sorry you didn't get Yr bacon butty :( that's your treat - what will you do next fri?

Looking at your menu again 8pp on treats/sweet tooth - sorry if I sound picky :( don't mean to be / think it's coz I don't have a sweet tooth - will very rarely have puddings but do have crisps most days 2/3pp / I have a savoury tooth lol

The odd choc bar I have gets taken out of my 49

Chicken shish was yummy and filled me up

Today's I've had

Oat so simple 4 and skim 1

Parsnip soup 3 /4 Rivitta 4,with 50g low fat humous 2/ 50g chicken roll 1/ 2 dairlylea light cheese 2 = 12

Chicken shish kebab 9
Ww biscuit 3

29 in all :)

Btw are Rivitta 1pp each as that's what I'm countin them as - have the little packs of 4 that are wrapped up iykwim

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 23:36

Really wanted some chocolate (very unusual for me) so sent dh out for some

Seems i mis counted my cycle

AF has come to stay and is giving me major stomach cramps :( again unusual - this makes me feel better about sts :)

NoWayNoHow · 29/01/2011 07:37

So weird that we're all on TOTM! Freaky...

Am on extremely early to have a rant. Going to Pizza Hut today, had planned what I was going to have from my "Eating Out" guide (Arrabbiata - 12PP).

Just looked at the PIzza Hut menu online, and it is COMPLETELY different from my brand new, 2011 ProPoints Eating Out guide!!

What is the bloody point in spending money on these stupid guides if they don't even vaguely resemble the menus they're supposed to?

The Arrabbiata is still online, but it you can choose to have it vegetarian (i.e. just the sauce), with king prawns or with chicken. I'd really like to have the prawns, but have no idea how many PP that would be. Don't want to guess as I've got a big eating weekend and really don't want to screw it up by tracking wrongly...

Help!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2011 07:59

Noway weird isnt it - bit like how girls who house share often are in sync

Though I'm a week early Hmm - was due on end of next week - I doubled checked diary - I'm very regular - so maybe new points system has changed cycle as I'm eating tons of protein - if that's possible?

Also Kwym about books Angry many things are wrong :( prob means in 6mths they will bring out another shopping guide and eating out guide

How many PP did their nutrional guide say your dish was?

Prawns are very low in PP - think 100g are 1 or 2 PP - I'm in bed at moment so can't check - they are also protein so should keep you fuller for longer :)

NoWayNoHow · 29/01/2011 08:13

Thanks blondes, just don't know why they couldn't take some time to make sure stuff was right?? Can't imagine Pizza Hut have changed their menu recently...

The veggie arrabiata is 12PP, and 100g of cooked king prawns is 2PP, so I might just make it 15PP in case they use any extra oil to cook the prawns (you never know!).

Still got 47 of my 49 weeklies till end of Monday, but have kids party and pub lunch tomorrow as well, so just want to do my best to keep within my 29 as far as I can!

Wow, this is hard work! Smile

NormaSknockers · 29/01/2011 08:58

Good morning all Grin

Oh I feel all left out, my TOTM isn't for another 10 days or so Wink

Blondes I hope you didn't put the pize in the actual bath lol Grin Wink

How's everyone feeling this weekend? Anyone have WI today?

OP posts:
NormaSknockers · 29/01/2011 08:59

NoWay can you eat before you go to the part to try and limit you wanting to pick at party food?

OP posts:
NoWayNoHow · 29/01/2011 09:05

Norma, the party itself tomorrow will probably be fine - the kids are getting party bags rather than snacks, so I'd have to physically steal from DS to pick (moi? like I'd EVER do that Grin)

It's the pub lunch afterwards that I'm more worried about saving weekly PP for as it's not a chain so I probably won't be able to track it completely accurately. Will just try to go for something that looks sensible and sensibly cooked!

NormaSknockers · 29/01/2011 09:10

Grin at not raiding the party bag, think we're all guilty of that at one time or another Wink Grin

What about looking through the eating out guide for something similar like The Slug and Lettuce or Brewsters or something, that would give you an idea of the points for certain meals then you could try and find one similar?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 29/01/2011 11:06

Morning (again)

Just back from gym - did body combat and now look like a beetroot

Norma - I took little mouthfuls and sucked each one nibbling the biscuit then the caramel and finally left the chocolate melting on my Tongue

And I tell my dc not to play with their food Grin

Noway can you have some o point soup before you go to make you less likely to have a pudding

Plus most pubs do jackets and tuna? That's daily low ESP if you ask for no mayo and butter
