Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 08:51

im rather pissed off - sts and have been within my points (even my pizza blip yesterday was 23pp and had o point soup for tea to counter balance and still 29 yesterday

but i ate ALL my weekies and normally i dont (have 20/30 of them) and 3/5 of fruit a day - maybe too much? :(

so why if i ate my 29 every day and my 49 - why didnt i lose :( :(

'blondes sobs' :(

tho i have measured myself as i do every month and have lost 7cm since this time last month :)

Lorelai · 28/01/2011 09:00

It might just be a blip blondes - sometimes you sts one week then lose double the next week so try not to get disheartened. Is it totm? That can affect it too.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 09:04

'sniffs' :( thanks lorelai

cant even blame totm :(

seems i cant eat all 49pp and lose weight :( - will go back to 20/30 a week and see what happens to next weeks WI

off to the gym now to do boxercise and punch out my disappointment :(

loubloutwinmum · 28/01/2011 09:23

Morning all. Well done on the losses & sorry for those who gained or STS! Some weeks just make no sense, the week I was most strict with myself & didn't use any of my 49pp, I STS. I look at my losses as a total & then eve. If I have a tiny loss, added together it looks good.

Just off to a friends for coffee morning, she makes the most divine cup cakes!! Help !! Also got work lunch next week, 3 courses which has been booked for months!!! Will try to engage the willpower. Hope you all have a good day & will catch up later . Xx

sweetheart · 28/01/2011 10:00

Morning all - SO pleased it's Friday!!!

Blondes - really sorry you've had a bad week!

Well done to all the losses and sorry on other gains or sts's.

Weekend coming up which is the hardest time for me. We have a week full of birthday's, meals out and cake next week so I need to try extra hard to stay on track this weekend! My plan is to keep busy and not get caught out with eating bad things on the run.

Good luck everyone today x

futurity · 28/01/2011 10:10

Busy thread! Well done to everyone for keeping it up...it is good to read everyone's stories. Have done that Shred DVD thing this morning...just the 1st stage..did it last Sunday and ached like mad the next day but thought I would give it another go. I don't think I could manage it daily yet!

Did a sneaky weigh in (my first week ends on Monday) and lost 3lb :) Will see if it is still that on Monday as I always find the weekend hard!

LeeWT · 28/01/2011 10:12

Welcome back boodle don't worry you've plenty on at the moment and you are doing well to only hav a tiny gain. Over the 5 weeks of Xmas I put on 2lb but given it was Xmas and andrew being in hospital I didn't get too hung up on it!

androbbob your menu seems fine.. I use quite a lot of points on treats as with sleep deprivation I need to comfort eat!

Well done to all the losers, especially those achieving mini goals!

Well for day one of my points week I spent quite a lot..

20 on Thai food
15 on 5 vodkas
6 on 3 magners lights
4 on ww tortilla chips
= 45 plus 11 for lunch & brekkie that day = 55pp!!!!

Leaves me 29 of my weekly- ouch!

NoWayNoHow · 28/01/2011 10:25

Morning all!
What is everyone doing this weekend, and how are we going to keep on track??

I've got Pizza Hut tomorrow (NOT my choice, believe my, but going to go for pasta Arrabbiate - 14pp - cos not much else I can hve!). Then got pub lunch on Sunday!

Needless to say, I've not touched my 49 this week for fear needing it all for the weekend! I'm HUNGRY! Grin

bigTillyMint · 28/01/2011 10:34

I've got to go for a pizza tonight - not a chain, but very thin, similar to Pizza Express? So I'm trying to stick to zero points stuff till then, apart from my porridge and milk allowance!

And then on Sunday we are going for an Indian buffet which will be a nightmare as I love it and will really have to rein myself in, and it's weigh-in on Monday!

On the positive side, I have been pointing everything and keeping to my 29 points so far.

lobsters · 28/01/2011 10:39

Blondes - sorry you've had a bad week, any chance you can blame it on time of the month and fluid retention?????????

futurity · 28/01/2011 10:45

not just me that finds the weekend hard I see!

sweetheart · 28/01/2011 11:06

lee - wounds like you had a really good night out Wink you need one every now and again so don't worry!

noway - try eating lots of veg at the roast and don't even look at the pizza hut menu - you know what you're having so don't tempt yourself.
bigTM - my firend always has a plain chicken tikka for starter and a veg curry for main at an indian - she is an avid loser and manages to stay on track doing this.

I have just been looking through my diary. At certain points throughout the year I have my weight written for each year. Just as an example in March 06 I was 12St 5Ib (I had already started my weight loss journey by that point and lost about 1.5 stone) By Jan 07 I had reached 10St 4 (which I admit isn't a very rapid weight loss) but until last year I had managed to maintain at around the 10 stone mark. So the moral of the story is that it may take some time but the work and effort is worth it if you manage to maintain your goal.

xxx

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 12:34

thanks sweetheart and lobsters

I went one on one with lee our instructor today and he was surprised and delighted by my enthusiasm and power of punches today :)

guess im disappointed as i did excalty what ww said, i pointed everything, no cheating and still sts :(

where if i had been really bad, i would be ok with it iyswim

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 12:37

noway stick to your veggie pasta and eat tons of salad - maybe have some o point soup before you go so that you are not starving iyswim

thats what im going to do tomorrow -out for mil birthday and going to an all you can eat chinese

how the hell do i point that? Hmm

i love chinese but stick to what i know and like for takeaways so can easily point it

guess a bowl of bns soup will be had at 5/6pm

androbbob · 28/01/2011 12:48

bellavita - I use oatbran for porridge and used 10g which is 1PP. It swells up quite alot as I leave it to soak in water over night and is enough to fill me up! The other 2PP are for the milk.

blondes - fair point about 25% of my daily intake being snacks / treats - will try better today! It is good to have that input. STS is ok really - have you been exercising alot or perhaps your body is resisting!

Sounds like very busy weekends ahead - and lots of food involved! How we cope with it is the key as we will always be presented with these obstacles and we cannot refuse to go out! There is no real nead to have a 3 course meal or loads of side orders - jsut need to rethink the meal out as the food not being the main focus of being out. Obviously chosing wisely is better, but try to get some exercise in as well to gain points!

Back later! Stupid people in work keep talking to me and I am on my lunch - one of the perils of eating at your desk! Cant they see I am at lunch when I have a spoon of yoghurt in my mouth!! I cant talk and MN at the same time!!

DuplicitousBitch · 28/01/2011 12:56

hello all, sorry i am here to moan again. i am exhausted with this. i am running every other day and cycling to work, tracking my points and tbh i feel v. feeble. worst thing is nothing is coming off this week. bah!

bigTillyMint · 28/01/2011 12:57

You are right androb about not having to eat 3 courses, but sometimes other peoples expectations can make you feel pushed into doing what they want IYSWIM

blondes, I agree, all you can eat's are a mare - I have an Indian one coming up. Must make sure I have my extra 49 for it!

sparkle101 · 28/01/2011 13:35

Hey everyone,

Blondes hopefully you'll see double coming off next week, don't lose hope! I had all you can eat chinese the first week I was on WW and saved all my 49 points for it (had a fair bit of wine as well!) depends if you like duck I suppose - on the last plan it was super high, and suspect it probably still is!

Lee glad you had a good night!

andro hope the people bugger off and leave you to your lunch!

lou how did you do with the cupcakes?

Well done on all the losses so far!

I received a letter from my leader today, it said, "well done for getting your first silver seven, but there is still work to do.... yadda yadda, I'm here for you, look forward to working with you over the next few months" any reason why she couldn't have just said well done on the silver seven, without having to draw attention to the fact I still have a shed load of weight to lose and its going to take quite a while. Really put a downer on my achievement, but she is an old trout anyway. Stuff her, miserable moo.

NoWayNoHow · 28/01/2011 13:42

sparkle she sounds REALLY motivational Hmm

Duplicitous, I know what you mean, I'm finding PP so much harder than the old system - exercising LOADS, sticking to my 29, only using some of my 49 once a week, and I'm losing 1-2lbs a week. VERY frustrating.

I just keep looking at it from the "bigger picture" perspective - 3.5lbs in 2 weeks = half a stone in 4 weeks, and a whole stone in a couple of months. Just willing the time to pass so I can BE at that final goal! Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 13:51

awwwwwwwwwwww norma

thank you

still feeling pissed off over sts and then had a knock on my door and a postie was holding out a parcel with blondes on it

NoWayNoHow · 28/01/2011 14:00

PS Is anyone else using eSource to track? If so, are you guys having problems seeing the whole of your tracking screen? The right hand side of mine has been missing since last night - not helpful when that's where all the pp values are. Grr...

NormaSknockers · 28/01/2011 14:04

Just running in quickly, BLondes so pleased you like your prizes Grin

I have the in laws coming round for dinner tonight and about 356 things to do before then - eeeek! If I don't catch up tonight I'll catch up tomorrow Grin

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2011 14:06

norma enjoy the in laws, i have mil tomorrow

androbbob hope you didnt mind me saying that about your treats/snacks Blush

vnmum · 28/01/2011 14:09

hi all.
db are you eating all your 49 or activity points. sometimes when you are doing alot of exercise and not eating enough your body will hold onto everything. If you're not eating your 49 maybe try using a few everyday for larger portions or using for a bit more good food IYSWIM. Also, are you drinking enough water? if you don't drink enough water especially when exercising it can lead to water retention, odd i know but it does.

DuplicitousBitch · 28/01/2011 14:34

sparkle well done you, screw your leader!
blondes PRIZES! thats it i am off ot have lipo
noway i know i have to keep an eye on the big picture but don't think i have ever found it this hard before.
vnmum Will drink more water thanks.
