Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

lol..i shall stop mentioning the EVIL cookies and hide them....they are hidden now...can't be seen...or heard...even though they are calling me.....!

bigTillyMint · 26/01/2011 15:01

We stayed at a hotel recently where they gave you warm cookies in the afternoon. They were scrummy, but when we checked the nutritional info, over 300 calories per cookie Shock

vnmum · 26/01/2011 15:16

Well I have bought my jeans. Size 12 skinny jeans and the waist is loose! Grin the 10 was too small still but I am extra motivated now and know I will get there. I wanted to post while still in the changing room but I had no signal on my phone.
I then walked round asda getting some food, and it was so easy to resist all the nice stuff coz I just thought of my jeans in my trolley.

Welcome to the newcomers and congrats to the losers. Good luck to anyone WI tonight.
I am hoping my all bran works before WI tomorrow morningWink

futurity · 26/01/2011 15:54

I'd love to wear skinny jeans!

Had half of the smallest cookie and am going to count that as 4 points which are my left over points from today so dont feel too bad!

bellavita · 26/01/2011 16:08

Hello Smile

I txted Norma this morning to see how she was and she suggested to me to come over to this thread.

I have done WW points of old and got on really well with it. But I just cannot seem to get the hang of the new system Hmm. Norma has said before it takes a while to get into it, bit this is my 4th week now. Doesn't help that we still have Xmas chocs left - although I did count these in my daily points.

Am going to try and cut back on the bread and have gone back to the 0% Total yoghurt with fruit for breakfast. Have just made myself a huge vat of veg soup - will have a cupful every time I feel hungry. I know with me it is portion sizes that I need to watch.

My height is 5ft, so any excess poundage really shows up - ideally I should be around 8st 3lb but am currently 10lb overweight.

FelicityParpworth · 26/01/2011 16:15

Hello lovely weight watching sorts.

I'm doing propoints online (ooh I love my points tracker thingy).

Can anybody tell me what sweet things are low points? There's no point me pretending I'm going to be nibbling on a carrot or a delicious apple if I fancy something sweet, I need sugar!

I discovered the joy of meringue nests last week (1 point) but I've already eaten too many [bblush] [bblush]
Any other marvellous finds? Thanks in sugary advance.

loubloutwinmum · 26/01/2011 16:45

Thanks for the warm welcomes Gibberfish Blondes Sweetheart & anyone else I've forgotten!!!

Sounds like you resisted major temptation Futurity. My hubby brought home some Krispy Kreme donuts last night and I was so tempted. In the end had a bit of a glazed one and was delighted to discover that it tasted so sweet I honestly didn't want anymore!!! Amazing, maybe my taste buds are finally changing.

vnmum size 12 - well done bet you feel fabulous. Size 12 is my aim. Currently in size 16 but must admit my jeans are very loose and the pair I have on today I can take off without undoing! I am quite tall so a size 12 is my goal.

Bellavita hello Smile

Felicity - sweet treats, here are my favs. 1 point - WW Caramel Mallows, Caramel Jumbo Snack-a-Jacks, like you meringue nests. For 3 points a Curly Wurly is a great sugar fix. Also a little pack of iced gems is 3 points. Also sugar free jelly is free and can hit the spot.

Anyway, just going to make a vegetable Korma for tea tonight. Hope anyone who has a WI has success. Will drop by again later.

electricslide · 26/01/2011 16:53

Hi there
I just signed up for WW online ( no classes here later than 7 and dh never in by then). I have a lot of points atm so today seems quite easy :)
I've been on and off at SW for years with some success but fancied a change ( and WW online was half the price) so here I am. Look forward to learning more from thOse of you who've been at it a while.

bellavita · 26/01/2011 17:07

Hi lou Smile

I will stock up on Curly Wurleys if they are only 3 points. And I love caramel snack a jacks.

WW online here too.

NormaSknockers · 26/01/2011 17:11

Afternoon all,

A nice busy thread again lovely to see Grin

lovely to see you here! Are you still finding it hard to get used to compared to the old plan?

Hello and welcome to Bella, lou, Felicity and electric hopefully you'll find this thread as useful and supportive as I have Grin

vnmum the chorizo lasagne is from the Hearty Homecooking WW book, only 7 PPs a serving which is a bonus!

Sparkle don't feel bad about the fish and chips, I did similar today. Went to Tesco to do the weekly food shop and due to being so busy this morning I didn't go 'til 2pm and hadn't had lunch. As I left the KFC across the car park was calling to me Blush So I worked out how many points it would and decided to treat myself. I'm now stuffed though so the lasagne has been moved to tomorrow instead Wink

Felicity I have a very large sweet tooth so I tend to stock up on;

WW Double Choc Brownies (4 PPs)
WW cake slices (most are 2PPs)
The snack size bags of butterkist popcorn (3 PPs)
Soleros, exotic (3 PPs)
Cadbury low fat choc mousse (2 PPs)
Custard creams (3 PPs for 2)
Scotch Pancke (2 PPs each)

Im' sure there's others but it's just about finding the right things for you Grin

hmc, Blondes and Lorelai I finally got your prizes posted today after going to two post offices, both of which were closed, I came home, printed off the postage and popped them in the post box! hmc I'm afraid I had to be a little forceful with yours as it was bigger so the packaging on one item make be a little squashed Blush It won't affect the actual item though Wink They went first class so hopefully you'll get them in the next day or so Grin

FelicityParpworth · 26/01/2011 17:17

Oh great! thanks for the ideas. Now, does anybody have any ideas on how to not eat 6 at a time [bblush] [bgrin]

bellavita · 26/01/2011 17:18

Hey Norna Smile I think the key words for me are "try harder"... my heart has not been in it! But I have forced myself today.

I made the beef teriyaki and ginger noodle stir fry from the WW recipe book at the weekend, it was nice, just not as tasty as my normal stir fry. Was 14 points though per portion.

bellavita · 26/01/2011 17:19

Norma

NormaSknockers · 26/01/2011 17:51

Can't help you with that one Felicity Grin Oh Crunchies and Curly Wurlys are others things I always have in the cupboard Grin

Ouch at 14PPs Bella, shame it wasn't as nice as your normal stiry fry, your dinners all make my mouth water!

wizzler · 26/01/2011 18:59

Welcome to Felicity,Bella, Electric and Loubou.
Well done for getting into a size 12 Vnmum. Am v envious.
TeandCrumpets well done on that loss.. fantastic
Felicity, I squirrel away tine 25g pieces of Milka.. I think they are 4pp each, or a crunchie is 5, but I can't savour a crunchie, I just gobble it!

bellavita · 26/01/2011 19:04

Ooh all these welcomes > Grin

I love sugar free jelly. Sometimes put blueberries in or strawberries - makes 'em feel a bit more special!

Have had pork chop with loads and loads of veggies - no roasties though. Then DS2 went and put a huge knob of butter on my leeks and carrots tsk - well at least it was lurpack Grin

Blonde, I have two boys - nearly 14 and 11 and they are driving me up the wall tonight with their bickering gggrrr.

gibbberish · 26/01/2011 19:05

I don't have much of a sweet tooth (just as well or I'd be the size of the moon by now) so haven't tried out much.

BUT I do loooove the WW Rich Toffee Bar and it's only 2pps!

Got a box in class but am assuming you will be able to get them in shops too?

Quick question for you all. I don't seem to have eaten much today and still have 11 pps from my dailys left after eating dinner!

dh is off to buy dominos pizza, so should I risk having a slice? Bit worried that if I only have one I will a) want to keep eating it and b) feel starving later on.

So should I be sensible and have something filling?

I know the answer to this but I'm hoping for some justification to stuff my face with Dominos. Hmm

bellavita · 26/01/2011 19:09

As much as I would like to say the pizza, I would rather have a bowl of rice pudding. Can you buy the WW toffee bars in the shops, or just online?

LeeWT · 26/01/2011 19:32

Hi everyone thanks for the pick me up this morning I needed it! And you're right I could be hitting the drive-thru but instead I'm losing lbs I'll NEVER see again!

Well at WI I lost 1lb which brings me to 12. I hasn't realised until our leader gave me my 5% sticker which actually remotivated me.. Next goal is the big 1 stone and I'm only 2lbs away!

Re the shred ladies - which one has the 20 minute sessions?! There's so many but they all seem to say 60 minute?

Welcoem to newbies and good luck to other weigh ins.

gibbberish · 26/01/2011 19:36

Not sure bella. I'm sure you could buy them online though.

Well done Lee Grin How exciting to be so near the stone mark! Glad you are back feeling determined again.

dh has finally arrived with the pizza. And I don't fancy it now atall so not going to have any! Think I will have a tuna mayo sandwich in a bit instead. yummm.

StarvingMarvin · 26/01/2011 19:47

lee the shred DVD is [http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jillian-Michaels-Day-Shred-DVD/dp/B002RNOS2Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1296071101&sr=8-1 this] one.
Well done on getting your 5%!
I have been so hungry today and feel like I have snacked loads, only had salad with chopped up quorn sausages for lunch but have eaten a bag of WW choc chip & orange cookies, a mini yorkie and a ww choc biscuit this afternoon! I think I need to start having a more filling lunch!
