Welcome one and all to our 3rd thread Grin

If you're just starting out or you've been following WW for a while and you're looking for support you've come to the right place!

There are lots of regulars who are well on their weigh (get it! Wink) and others who have just joined us - we're a mixed bag, all shapes and sizes and all with different goals to achieve but we're all striving for the same thing. We're all here to will one another on with advice, support and lots of cheering!

Androbbob is our resident stat checker and keeps us motivated by totting up the total weight loss each week. So far this week we have already lost over 37lbs collectively! I believe in total there has been over a 9 stone loss since the thread started!

We're quite fast moving at times so just dive in and make yourself at home Grin

wizzler · 25/01/2011 19:43

Just back from WI . I lost 1.5lbs, so quite pleased.
Stayed for class which was quite inspiring really, so am newly motivated for the new week!

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 19:51

Well done wizzler

KnittingRocks · 25/01/2011 20:24

KWYM about retraining your mind, I just like the idea of losing all the weight fast and then retraining my mind Grin!

Have just done four songs on Just Dance which is the most exercise I've done in ages - starting WW on Saturday.

KnittingRocks · 25/01/2011 20:25

well done wizzler Smile

Littlefish · 25/01/2011 20:28

Hooooooray for me! I've lost another 2lbs. That's 31.5 so far. Grin Grin Grin Grin

That means that I've lost 7lbs since Christmas.

gibbberish · 25/01/2011 20:29

Hello!! Sorry have not been on for a while. Rl is a pain!

Just had wi. Another two and a half gone so got my first half stone sticker yaaaay!

Very pleased and raring to get going for another week.

Been attending a class in another village for the last few wks and a brand new one started tonight in my village so have transferred there. Was lovely as there were only six of us there. The new leader is really lovely. So looks like a good move. And is about 400 yards from my house!

Off to catch up on thread.

Littlefish · 25/01/2011 20:29

Forgot to stay - well done Wizzler - great weight loss.

I stayed for the class as well so I feel really set up for next week (although I'm having a chinese takeaway tonight Wink)

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 20:34

Well done gibberish and littlefish [bsmile]

gibbberish · 25/01/2011 20:35

Well done wizzler - great result!

Yay too littlefish! You must be a shadow of your former self!

All the best for wi sweetheart. I treated myself tonight - had loads of points left so got myself a fish supper Shock

Have been craving one. Ate the fish but gave the kids the chips. Anyone know offhand the damage in a battered fish?

Was gorgeous. Well worth whatever ppa it has cost. Have decided that this is going to be a long haul thing so if I am really craving something will have it as long as I count the pps.

gibbberish · 25/01/2011 20:48

Thanks blondes Grin

Off to work out how much the delish fih was. If I don't return for a while please come find me as I may have fainted...

gibbberish · 25/01/2011 21:00

16 for the fish according to the book! If that's right that's ok because had that left!!

IHeartIona · 25/01/2011 21:05

Hello ladies
May I join you?
Started end Aug on the old plan, been on PPs since Nov or whenever they switched. So far have lost 15 lbs, boosted by loss of 3 last week, my best weekly lost to date!
Am loving zero-pointed fruit - try to snack on fruit most days, though also partial to meringue nests and jelly...
WI on Thurs, am hoping for another good week but not sure at the moment...
Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 21:25

Welcome iheart good loss so far

gibberish I would have guesstimated 15 - glad you enjoyed :)

StarvingMarvin · 25/01/2011 21:29

Oh my, can't believe how many posts there are since this morn! Have had to open another tab to type in while I read through on the other one!

Welcome to everyone who has joined!

vnmum Don't blame you for not exercising after being so ill then being jabbed! Can be hard to find motivation at the best of times! Norma Loving the positive feedback on the kindle, am hoping to get one before we go on holiday in May, although with 3 DC to watch not sure I'll actually have much time to read!
Well done Noway I think I would have cried at not having a muffin I had planned for!
Agree with everyone that Norma would make a fab leader- although I don't go to meetings, your motivation is quite infectious!
DB I love the book idea- such a good way to visualise your progress.
WEll done Wizzler, gibberish and littlefish

Think that's me caught up! I have had a good day, been on a long walk, eaten lots of fruit and veg and feeling content tonight! I haven't done the shred today but hope that lots of cleaning has helped with toning!

A couple of people has commented on my weightloss/changing shape so I am so pleased, only 10lbs down and already noticeable!

StarvingMarvin · 25/01/2011 21:31

Welcome IHeartIona

vnmum · 25/01/2011 21:36

Well done on the losses littlefish, gibberish, and wizzler

Welcome Iheartiona. we are a great bunch on here, full of support and kicks up bums when needed. I also WI on a thursday (am).

And welcome to any other newbies i've missed, it's hard to remember names as I catch up on the thread

My fresh pasta tonight was nice but just didn't seem alot for the points, although i felt fullish after it i was eating crumpets about 2 hours later. Came out of my dailies I had left so was ok.

I am going to asda tomorrow for some cheap new jeans, I am fed up with my previous 'thin' jeans now hanging off my arse, so I will see what size i actually am.

androbbob · 25/01/2011 21:42

Evening - just a quick 'pop-in' as knackered! Survived my first day in the new office - kitchen is great - ate my lunch there while watching Loose Women - much to the disgust of some of the lads who wanted the sport on but I had the remote! Hee Hee. No vending machine so took all food in and was fine! Not so keen on office layout - think call centre / battery hen - not great for a design office.

WI tomorrow - hoping for 2 lbs!

Well done on all losses this week! Back tomorrow night when Dh at footie!

StarvingMarvin · 25/01/2011 21:46

vnmum I went to Asda to get a pair of jeans, the 14 was too big round the waist and the 12 was a bit too tight, I didn't want to buy yet another pair of jeans that were too big si I bought the 12, am hoping to comfortably wear them in about 3 weeks all being well!

IHeartIona · 25/01/2011 21:53

thanks for the welcomes!

Must say I was very pleased to find out crumpets are only 2 PP each, think it is 5 for two though (darned rounding up!)
I didn't know they were made without fat, they seem to contain vinegar?
was also pleased to weight out my 100g rice tonight and find it was a reasonable amount.

vnmum - good to hear this thread is good for kicks up bums, very useful!

StarvingMarvin - is the Shred good? I have it but haven't tried it yet...

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2011 22:09

androbbob glad 1st day went well :) and well done fir taking lunch with you

Had a craving for tuna pasta

So had 60g pasta 6
Tin of tuna [bblush] 4
2tbsp lf Mayo 2

12pp - I hope I've calculated ok

wizzler · 25/01/2011 22:13

Well done to Littlefish and Gibberish.

Good luck to anyone going for WI tomorrow.

gibbberish · 25/01/2011 22:41

Welcome iheart Smile

I'm the only one in this house who likes crumpets so I keep them in the freezer and zap them in the microwave before toasting.

Starvin, that's brill about the size 12 jeans! You must be so chuffed!

Db I am def going to do the book idea if I stall!

Everyone is doing so well on here! Loving it Grin

StarvingMarvin · 26/01/2011 07:48

IheartIona I think the shred is brilliant, in fact I think the change of my shape is as much if not more to do with the shred than the weightloss! It is hard work to start with but at only 20mins long the end is in sight so it's acheivable!

gibberish So chuffed, can't actually remember the last time I could wear a 12!

NormaSknockers · 26/01/2011 08:07

Good morning all Grin

Hello & welcome iHeart & well done on your loss so far! Hopefully you'll find this thread as lovely & supportive as we all do Grin

Fabulous about the jeans Starvin way to go you! You'll be fitting comfortably in those before you know it Grin

Well done on your losses wizzler, Little & gibbberish excellent losses, fantastic Grin

Mmmmmm crumpets

What's everyone planning for dinner tonight? Do you plan ahead so you can work out your points for the day or do you just wait until the evening & think of something to fit in with what points you have left?

Possibly chorizo lasagne here tonight, quite fancy it again!

OP posts:
sweetheart · 26/01/2011 09:40

Morning all - wow I really should start popping in more often so there isn't so much to catch up on.....

wizzler, littlefish, gibberish - brilliant losses, well done!
vnmum - good luck with the jeans and well done to starvin for getting the smaller jeans
androbob - good luck for tomorrow WI
blondes - I think your pasta points are right
Iheart - welcome and wel done on your loss so far!

So yesterday I had a gym review to get me back on track and doing some useful exercise before my op in March. I think the bloke is trying to kill me! He kept telling me that I'd have to work really hard to make it effective seeing as I'm so limited and he told me to get on top of my eating - I was a bit Biscuit about that and told him I was following ww! So I'm going to have a last chance workout at lunchtime - just hope I can move afterwards!

Norma - I do a sort of weekly meal plan before I go food shopping so that I only buy what I need. I don't stick to certain meals on certain days but I do know roughly how many points my evening meals are. Plus I find that I stick to what I know and hence have eaten the same thing for brekfast and lunch for the last 3 weeks. Not for everyone I know BUT it helps me to stay in control.

Wi tonight - I am feeling a bit nervous because I really want to get 1.5 off tonight to get me to 7Ibs. I know I'll feel disheartened if I do any less as I've done a bit more exercise this week and haven't touched my weekly points.

Good luck today everyone
xxx
