Well done justaminute. That is a superb achievement

fedupofnamechanging · 09/04/2011 08:53

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Things are good here. Yesterday I ate
thickish slice of home made bread with a little bertolli spread and a little peanut butter.
Lunch was 2 ryvitas, ham and tomatoes with a 2 finger kitkat.
dinner was 2 Linda Macartney(sp) sausages with courgette, onion, mushrooms and tomatoes fried in that low calorie spray oil and a glass of pineapple squash.

Was quite happy with that cos MIL turned up with family packs of minstrels and malteasers, plus about 60,000 Easter eggs and bars of chocolate. Had one minstrel and one malteaser. She knows DH and I are trying to lose weight, so although it's a nice thing for the kids, it's hellish for me to have it all in the house.

Am going to have a quiet weekend. We have a lot of family birthdays next week, so will be very busy then. Intend to enjoy the glorious weather and play with the kids (if I can get them away from the playstation!)

knottyhair · 09/04/2011 09:24

Morning! JAM, that's brilliant, what a fantastic achievement! Karma, wow, well done resisting the chocolate! Just done 6W6P again - I do like that one. Has anyone here gone up to L2? I'm not sure when to give it a go. Beautiful day here too. We've got my niece & nephew's joint birthday party this afternoon, so I need to have a very light lunch and try to resist the crisps! Tea tonight is prawns in tomato sauce with a little bit of feta and couscous. TDW, how did your curry go down? Loved ours although I needed extra chilli and DP needed extra yoghurt. I didn't add yoghurt to mine in the end. Have a good one everyone! xx

dinkystinky · 09/04/2011 09:44

Well done JAM! Very proud of you. Have a fab holiday.

Karma - well done for resisting the chocolate. Keep up the excellent work!

Good luck with the party knotty.

knottyhair · 10/04/2011 07:42

Morning. No More Trouble Zones arrived yesterday. I'm attempting it this morning - 50 mins of Jillian, bearing in mind I collapse in a sweaty heap after 20min Shred. If I survive, I'll report back later....

knottyhair · 10/04/2011 09:33

Well, I'm still in one piece! I'd say it's Level 3 Shred type stuff mostly, but obviously 50 mins of it (including a mainly cardio warm-up), plus 5 min cool down. Liked it though Grin! Hopefully worked off the nibbles I had at the birthday party yesterday - had a few crisps, 2 sandwiches and some fruit. Then the birthday cake came out, which I could easily have left (haven't really got a sweet tooth) but DP's sister would've got the hump if I'd refused so I asked for a small bit and managed to smuggle half of it on to DP's plate when she wasn't looking Grin. Going to have beans on toast for lunch and roasted veg pasta for tea. Have a good day everyone!

fedupofnamechanging · 10/04/2011 10:52

Good morning everyone,

Think I may have overdone it a bit with the calories yesterday and did no exercise, so to make up for it I finally started Level 1 of the shred.

I was knackered after the 2 minute warm up and even the cool down is hard. Never thought 20 minutes could pass so slowly. Still, I have done it and feel better for having finally made a start. My 3 year old DD was joining in with the jumping jacks and clearly has more stamina than me!

Breakfast has been 2 ryvitas with a banana. Not sure about lunch yet, but dinner is likely to be quorn mince chilli.

It's a lovely day and so I will be taking my kids out for a long walk later, maybe by the river when my legs stop shaking.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 10/04/2011 18:43

Knotty you are hard core on the exercise malarky!
Karma - welldone on starting the shred, you will get used to it in no time, im going to shred again tomorrow i think.

I have done my first run! i was absolutly shattered afterwards and my face is still purple but im not put off and will go again on tue with SIL , i actually thought i done quite well to keep up with sil as she must be only 9st so i have at least 4.5 stone on her extra to lugg after me.

Im off to bath the kids, help dp cut the grass and then have something to eat as im scranny.

fedupofnamechanging · 10/04/2011 19:03

Well done thinbride.

Will shred again tomorrow, even though my legs still ache. Had better buy a sports bra too, as I was bouncing around all over the place!

Been quite good today. Had 2 spoonfuls of cake at my mums, but resisted having a proper slice, despite everyone else tucking in. Have eaten 2 ryvitas with banana for brekkie, ryvitas and sage & onion slices for lunch, with a 2 finger kitkat. Had 2 spoonfuls of cake and am having an omelette with mushrooms and tomatoes for dinner.

Hope everyone else has done well today. It's my sons birthday tomorrow, so will have to resist the chinese takeaway that he wants. Might have some cake though!

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 10/04/2011 20:45

I was gonna have an omlete for dinner but DP didnt want one so and i could not be bothered to cook just for me.

Have have porridge with skimmed milk and raisens and 2 coffees for breakfast.

Roast pork for sunday lunch

toast and banana for dinner

special k bar and a yog as snacks.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 11/04/2011 08:13

I have only managed to half shred this morning as 1, i have a bruise like pain in my right shin and dont want to aggrivate it (has been there all weekend) and 2, my good sports bra was in the wash so i had to wear the crap one and i had to hang on to the norks whilst trying to do jumping jacks and it was not really working. So having a rest day today and going for another run tomorrow after work with sil.

Tis a bit over cast today, i hope the sun comes out!

fedupofnamechanging · 11/04/2011 08:22

Have done a bit of exercise on my cross trainer. 'Bit' being the operative word, so will have to have another go later.

According to my son, it is going to rain today, which is a pita as it is my DS birthday and DH has a day off. He (DS) wants to go on a bike ride this afternoon, so I hope it stays dry.

Will struggle a bit today, because the house is full of chocolate birthday cake!

knottyhair · 11/04/2011 08:40

Morning. Thinbride, LOL at you hanging on to your norks! I know that feeling Grin. Karma, hope the rain stays off for your DS's birthday, have a great day Karma jr! Just done 4 circuits of BFBM and am sweating like a sweaty thing from Sweatyville, Planet Sweat. Going to try to have soup for lunch despite the weather, or maybe prawns & salad if not. Tea is roasted chicken thighs with salad (plus homemade coleslaw & bread for DP & DS Sad).

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 11/04/2011 09:54

Happy birthday Karma Jnr!

Only had a yogurt so far, going to blitz the house then make a some lunch. Dont know what to have for dinner as at work and trying not to eat crap! Might pick up a low fat sarnie from greggs as a treat.

Buda · 11/04/2011 09:57

Morning all.

You are all doing really well on your exercising.

Friday went a bit pearshaped for me and the weekend was a write off too. Am so crap.

Anyway. DH went away this morning and will be away all week. So it's just me and DS. I need to plan evening meals as usually just have whatever DS is having when DH is away but that normally involves not very on-plan meals for me. Think I will hunt out WW cook book and find some nice things from that. Can never be bothered cooking two meals so need to find stuff that DH can have too.

Have taken the dogs for a long walk this morning and my legs are still shaking.

Starving when I got back too so have just had some egg mayonaisse with tomatoes. A bit too much mayo in it really. But it will keep me going for a while.

dinkystinky · 11/04/2011 10:14

P.s. happy birthday to Karma's DS - hope he has a great day - and the rian holds off too.

Buda - come on, draw a line under the weekend and back into th ezone with you.

knottyhair · 12/04/2011 09:00

Morning. Karma, hope your DS's birthday went well. Buda, did you find some nice healthy recipes in your WW book? Well, despite my thighs and bum being very achy this morning, I decided to try L2 of 6W6P this morning. Let's just say that me & coordination are not very good friends. Bloody hard as well, especially with a running commentary from DS "that's the beginners version Mummy", "you're not as fast as Jillian Mummy". Thanks darling. Had Weetabix & skimmed milk for breakfast, soup for lunch and then round my friends tonight for a takeaway curry. Planning to order my normal which I don't think is too naughty - tandoori king prawns, share a sag paneer, and maybe some tarka dahl and a chapati. There will be wine, but I'm going to try not to have more than 1 glass as I always have a mini-hangover if I have any more than 2 these days Blush. Hope you all have a good day x

fedupofnamechanging · 12/04/2011 14:27

Hi everyone,

Thank you for the birthday wishes. karma jnr had a fab birthday. We took him to the milkshake bar where he drank Dime bar and Oreo milkshake, went on a bike ride (got new bike for his birthday), spent his birthday money and topped it all off with Chinese takeaway and chocolate cake.

I was very good and and just had a sip of the milkshake (made with choc bars and whipped cream, so very yummy) and a little piece of cake. Came in just under my calorie allowance, so quite pleased and surprised.

Enjoy your curry knottyhair. Hope everyone else is having a good day.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 12/04/2011 15:52

Morning everone, Karma your son sounds like he had a fab birthday! Knotty, your meal sounds delish! I have had toast for breakfast, tuna crunch on brown from greggs and some walkers crisps for lunch and a special k bar. Think im having a curry for dinner (from a jar!)

Im about to set off on my second run with sil, wish me luck!

knottyhair · 12/04/2011 16:30

Karma, sounds like you were very restrained, brilliant Smile! Glad your DS had such a lovely time. Thinbride, good luck with the run, you're a better woman than me Wink. I've just made some vanilla ice-cream for DS and I took the paddle out of the machine and forgot about it. By the time I'd remembered, it was melting everywhere and I licked it all off! There was quite a bit on there and it was made with double cream Blush. Yummy, but I think with the curry tonight, today's a bit of right off. Thank heavens to Murgatroyd for Jillian Grin.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 12/04/2011 17:40

Oh knotty homemade ice cream , i want an ice cream maker to make creamy ice cream healthy sorbets.

Done my run and went further, lasted longer than sunday so all good, about to go and see the priest re; wedding stuff then going to bath the kids and make the curry.

Buda · 12/04/2011 18:10

Was good all day yesterday and weighed myself this morning and gained a kilo!!!

Day went to pot then.

I am so so so crap. Why can I not stick with it?

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 12/04/2011 19:58

Buda draw a big line under today and plan a good healthy days eating and exercise plan for tomorrow and try and stick with it. Do you have any goals or any event to look forward to that will give you inspiration/motivation?

I have been good with eating and exercise all week but each day have had something i shouldnt and im really hoping it dose not show on Friday! So im struggling to be 100% too. PS you need to name change back to BudaIsInthe Zone for motivational purposes for you and me as it all ways made me smile.

fedupofnamechanging · 12/04/2011 20:46

Well done with your run,thinbride.

Tried to do the shred this afternoon, while the boys were at school, but what with my DD making me laugh by copying my star jumps and using her dolls house figures as weights, and my sister coming round and the phone ringing, it was a bit of a write off! Will try again tomorrow.

Sorry today hasn't gone well Buda. Hope tomorrow is better for you.
