Good morning all from the packing household, funny isn't it how a house can hold so much emotion. Dreading leaving as this home was my first home as a married woman, my DS's first home and now its time to leave. I will be awfully sad on the 20th when I hand over the keys and drive away Sad

Well doen on the loss Thinbride you are doing great and WILL look amaing in your dress.

*karma, I think you need to maybe plan your meals, plan a few days at a time, look at the bbc good food thingy that Knotty always gets good meals from, This way you may be able to put chocolate in your daily diet but still have the good stuff. I hate to think of you struggling everyday, thinking what to eat, when what you need is a plan that is easy, so that way you stick to it. Sorry to go on, just want to make sure you suceed Smile.

Knotty Glad you had a great time out, bet you looked and felt fab in your sisters dress.

Well it's a 2lb loss here Grin. Well happy, only 3 more lbs to go to my ldeal weight, however, DH not happy, he thinks I'm too skinny now, I am not by the way, at 5' 6" and 9st 10lbs, I am far from skinny. He says he is getting worried about me, but I assure him I am eating loads, (bf my DS helps alot) and I always have a treat everyday.

Hope everyone has a good weigh day and a great weekend Smile

Buda welcome back, I had kept on asking for you and hoping you would return, so its great to have you back again. Hope you are well and sending you lots of 'in the one' vibes.

ta ta for now xx

Morning all and welcome back Buda. Hope the thread gives you the impetus you need to get back in the zone - you've been there, you know how good it feels...

I've put on a lb here - is time of the month and have an insatiable appetite at the moment. Suspect its mostly water retention as fingers v swollen. And am still feeling crap. Ho hum. Our manic couple of weeks start here - need to have a good sort through the flat over the weekend and take stuff to charity shops, start boxing up our stuff for the move and pack to go on holiday, move out of flat on Friday into house then down to MILs then off on holiday for a week then back in time for DS1's birthday on Easter Monday then back into house to unpack and receive the rest of our stuff on 26th. DH is in charge of sorting out sky connections so rather suspect I'll be without the internet for a couple of weeks from the middle of next week too - will be thinking of my fellow NTAGASFers...

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 08/04/2011 09:12

Dinky and tdw - good luck on your impending moves and im sure all the packing and unpacking will be burning a few calories!

Well done on the loss tdw wish i weighed what you do i would think my self positivley svelt! Buda - i bet next week you see a loss, esp if you carry one being in the zone and being good on those nights out (i wish my social life was as packed as yours!). Dinky - im the same with af, i want to eat and eat and im not even hungry! Try to only eat good things tho as you dont want it to show next week!

Buda · 08/04/2011 09:24

karma - well done on cutting down so much on the chocolate. It's hard. I am not a huge chocolate person really so don't find that too bad. Bread and biscuits on the other hand are my issue. I would agree with TDW that you need to plan a bit more and eat some more healthy stuff and build your chocolate treat in around that. Not instead of a proper meal. Do you like dark chocolate? A couple of squares of dark chocolate are good if you are craving it.

TDW - hello! Glad someone missed me! You are going through some changes at the moment aren't you? We do the big move back in July but at least we all move together. It will be very hard being away from your DH. It sounds like you have done really well on your weight-loss but must be on target now?

Dinky - Hi. You must be so excited about getting back into your house. Has it turned out as you wanted/expected? Sounds like you have a busy few weeks ahead!

My head does feel much more in the Zone then it has for ages. I think it is partly because I have not given in and had any thing sugary or made from wheat. Once they get into my system I am lost.

So far today I have had 3 cups of tea, porridge with milk, banana and almonds and am now having a cup of green tea. Am planning a snack of a kiwi fruit and a yoghurt. Lunch will be rye bread and mackerel with some lemon juice. Afternoon snack will be a hard boiled egg and an apple. Dinner will be a home-made chicken curry. Will drink loads of water too.

Am in de-cluttering mode in the house. Doing the switch from winter to summer clothes, shoes etc. Clearing cupboards and drawers. Want to get rid of as much as possible next month and not end up shipping it all back to UK and then having to get rid of it there!

dinkystinky · 08/04/2011 09:36

Xpost TDW - good luck with the move! Know how you feel about moving house - I was so sad to leave our old flat to move into our house (the one we're about to move back into) as it was the flat DH and I got married in and had DS1 in. But your new home will bring you lots of lovely memories too.

Buda - yes v excited about moving back into house. Looks great and has turned out pretty much as I hoped. The kitchen is going in this week.

Shaxx · 08/04/2011 09:52

Thinbride and TDW Well done on your losses!
TDW you are lovely and slim. How much weight have you lost altogether? Your post brought a tear to my eye. Its sad when you have to move but don't forget the home and the meories you're going to create in the future [dmile]
Thinbride you're well on your way to being a 'thin bride'!

Karma is that a loss for you then? I agree that you need to plan meals. There's no need for meals like tuna salad if you dont like them. Well done on cutting down your chocolate. Sugar dips and highs have a lot to answer for when it comes to gaining weight.

Buda welcome back. I can totally relate to the cutting out wheat/sugar and being in the zone. If I cut them out, I don't have any cravings or desire to binge and can really control my food.

Dinky you must be so excited about moving back home. Good luck with it all.

I've sts this week (didn't weigh last week) I think thats good as its also totm and I've been having bread and choc.
I've Had some seeded bread toast for breakfast
I've got an innocent pot for lunch
I'm doing home made lamb burgers for dinner today. I'll just have mine without the bread but with salad.

Shaxx · 08/04/2011 09:55

I'm such a slow typer! I didn't see Dinkys post and wasn't plagarising hers. Honest! Smile
(althbough she can spell memories and I can't)

Shaxx · 08/04/2011 09:56

I had another headache last night so aplologies for my spelling! Its all over the place.

knottyhair · 08/04/2011 10:06

Morning! Thinbride, great loss! Buda, hope your DS feels better soon. Great that your stomach feels flatter as well. Karma, I assume that's a loss for you this week? Fab! Just to reiterate what everyone else has said about meal planning - it really makes a difference. Good luck with the chocolate fest later. Allow yourself a little bit and promise yourself you'll stop there. TDW, great loss for you as well! It must be so emotional to be leaving your home, I got a bit teary as well Blush. Dinky, I know how you feel about your (very small, almost doesn't count) gain. Rationally you know it's AF/water retention but it doesn't stop you feeling crap does it? But knowing you, you'll pick yourself up and get on with it! Hope your move back to your house goes well. New kitchen, very exciting! Shaxx, well done on STS. Lamb burgers sound gorgeous Smile. I've lost 1.5lbs this week - very chuffed, and relieved, given my banquet on Weds night Grin. I've now lost that magic stone which was my first target, am now a healthy BMI. But would like to get down to 9.5 stone if poss (now 10st 3.5lb). Just done 6W6P again, and only needed to do beginners spider planks, managed at least some of the advanced version of everything else, so I really feel like I've progressed. Got poached egg on toast for lunch, and new potato & mince curry with spinach for tea later. Have a good day everyone, hope you've all got the lovely sunshine x

knottyhair · 08/04/2011 10:06

Shaxx, hope your headaches get better Sad x

thedogwalker · 08/04/2011 10:49

Well done Knotty on another loss, and you have me drooling again. I like the sound of your curry, I'm always looking for new recipes, so come on spill the beans, or do I need to ask Hmm bcc good food maybe Grin

Thinbride, yeah I agree with Shaxx, you are well on your way to being a thinbride. Bet you feel great after doing all the exercise this week, I find once you get started the endorphins (or whatever they are called ) kick in and you feel fab.

Shaxx hope your headache clears soon, sending lots of get well vibes your way and a Brew

Dinky, good luck on your move and the holiday, all that cram packed together, you are brave. Bet it will be nice to be back in our own home.

Buda good menu for today, girl after my own heart with the no sugar or wheat.

Thanks to everyone for the kind messages, Yes I've had a good time here, but yes I have lots of new memories to create in my new home, so thanks for making me feel happier.

Take care everyone and have a great weekend

Knotty well done on your loss! You've lost most weeks, haven't you?

I think my headaches are down to the bright sunshine. I used to suffer migraines in bright weather when I was younger and still don't tolerate it very well now. I need to wear sunglasses whenever I go out.

I miss my hammock! We used to have a proper rope hammock in our back garden tied to a couple of perfectly positioned trees and it broke last year. I need to find a replacement as theres nothing nicer than lounging around in one of them on a lovely sunny day.....

knottyhair · 08/04/2011 11:56

TDW, strangely enough, it is a Good Food recipe! But it's not on the website. It's from one of their little books (101 Cheap Eats). For 4 - dry fry 450g lean mince to brown it. Remove from the pan, add 1 tbsp oil and fry 1 small chopped onion for 5 mins. Add 3 chopped garlic cloves, 1 tbsp grated ginger, 1 sliced deseeded chilli, 2 tsp gd cumin, 2 tsp gd coriander and 1 tbsp curry paste, and cook for 1 min. Add the mince, 500g halved new potatoes and 1 pt water or stock. Bring to boil, cover & simmer for 30 mins. Season to taste. Add 100g spinach and simmer until wilted. Swirl in 150ml greek yoghurt. 353 cals per serving. I'll give DP a naan bread as well. Haven't made it before so I'll let you know what it's like. Shaxx, I've just had a look and I've lost weight 10 out of 12 weeks, which isn't bad going and I must remind myself of that next time I have a not so good result, so thanks for flagging that up Smile! Hammock sounds luuuuurvely....

thedogwalker · 08/04/2011 12:19

Thanks Knotty and what's even better is that I have all those ingredients Grin, so I'm also having that for my dinner tonight, sounds absolutely yummy and DH will like it as it is something new. thanks so much for the receipe. Have a great weekend.

Shaxx never had a hammock, but it sounds the perfect way to while away a couple of hours in the sunshine.

Dashes in to say well done losers and welcome back Buda.

Lots of positive vibes on the thread today that I'm about to sit my fat bum on. I've put on 3lb Sad What is going on? I know I've been bad but not THAT bad. I'm 5lb heavier than I was at the start of the year Angry. Yet i've upped the exercise and thought I'd cut back on the chocolate and biscuits Confused

I've got to dash - hot date with a gas engineer, then I'll be in a packing frenzy for an early morning start to Wales for a week. Shall aim not to wallow in self pity. Keep up the good work I'll be seeking inspiration on my return.

fedupofnamechanging · 08/04/2011 14:07

justaminute, do you think you have built muscle and so you weigh more, but your figure is better? My lovely, skinny sister is heavy but very slim. It's all muscle and no fat. That might be the same for you.

thedogwalker · 08/04/2011 16:50

Yum yum, just cooking the recipe given earlier by Knotty, had a taste test and it is good. Added some arrowroot flour, non wheat based thickener, (like cornflour) and now the sauce is delicious. Can't wait for it to be ready. Not sure if to add the greek yoghurt at the end Hmm

OP posts:
Shaxx · 08/04/2011 17:01

I've eaten too much today. TOTM is to blame Sad
Just had to confess and let you know that my cut off is 6pm then nothing else.

knottyhair · 08/04/2011 17:05

TDW, I'm doing ours later (DS having early tea tonight). Will take your tip about adding cornflour Smile. Shaxx, bloody PITA AF xx (is that enough acronyms??)

Shaxx · 08/04/2011 17:48

Knotty you forgot to add FFS Smile

knottyhair · 08/04/2011 17:51

And LMFAO Smile

Shaxx · 08/04/2011 18:04

LMFAO is not angry enough for TOTM/AF issues. I need more Angry Grr to express better how I feel.

Maybe I should go work it all out in the gym Hmm

knottyhair · 08/04/2011 18:42

Ooh shite, no sorry Blush Have some Angry Angry Angry on me Smile!

justaminute · 08/04/2011 22:09

I'm meant to be getting ready for hols and an early night (ha ha) but I had to come on here and share with you all...I have just completed the couch to 5K! Tonight I ran continuously for 3 miles in 30 minutes. I am so chuffed. I just need to work on my speed and style now. Thinbride i urge you to get your sparkly new trainers on, the sense of achievement is fantastic. Karma perhaps I am building muscle which is well hidden by rolls of flab Hmm

Shax I sympathise with FFSPITAAF. I blame my week of chocolate overload entirely on my hormones and not on my complete lack of self control Wink

Must pack now and celebrate with a G & (slimline) T

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 09/04/2011 07:46

Justaminute - Well done on completing the couck to 5k!!! Bet you are soo chuffed. How long did it take you to complete?

Im itching to go now on sunday.
