Sorry to feel crap Dinky! Well done on shredding Thinbride. I've just done day 2 of Level 2 and I think it was harder today TBH! I think it may be because I knew what was coming Grin. Feel better for doing it though. Have a good weekend everyone.

knottyhair · 05/02/2011 09:40

I mean "sorry you feel crap Blush.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 05/02/2011 11:34

Im uber impressed with you lot all on level 2 and 3. I was knackered afer day 1 of level 1, lets hope day 2 fairs a bit better (still cant do press ups, can barley bend a quarter of an inch. Pathetic upper arm strength).

After all that wild windy weather, it seems really sunny and bright today! Hurrah

Shaxx · 05/02/2011 11:40

Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish Dinky. Enjoy your day!
Well done Thinbride! I've just got back into shredding as well. Its only 20 mins so not doing it is really just laziness on my part.

I went out with friends last night and one of them has lost about a stone in weight. She's got a bit to go but was looking soooo much better. Its really motivated me.
This is the 2nd friend that has been losing weight at the same time as me. I'm getting a bit annoyed at seeing their results while mine seems to be no existant.
At least its given me a kick up the arse!

Have a good everyone!

dinkystinky · 05/02/2011 13:16

Thanks ladies - the hangover is shifting thank god. On the plus side its put me off having a glass of wine tonight Smile And despite the hangover DH and I have managed to come to a few landings on renovation plans too which is all good.

thedogwalker · 05/02/2011 16:04

Must say the new sign Wine is good. having a few Wine Wine is what used up my remaining calories last night, got to have a treat and I didn't go over my food focus allowance.

Hope everyone is having a zoned weekend. Take care xx

Thedogwalker i'm blushing about being called a goddess! I'm anything but. Some of level 3 is actually easier than Level 2 imo. In 10 days (if not sooner) you'll be ready for Level 3. The progression and sense of achievement is one of the things I love about the Shred. When I started I'd never done a press up in my life, now I'm upto 5 in a row and I'm very pleased to now be able to do a full set of "full on rocky style" sit ups. I also like the fact it is so short yet I'm sweating glowing at the end of it.

thinbride - it's good to see you back, I was worried about you. Well done for shredding - stick with it, it doesn't take long for it to becomes habit and you'll see results.

dinky well done for working through the hangover with minimum carnage. I'm very Envy at all your house renovations and shopping decisions. I'd love to redo our house. We were young and naive when we did a lot to our place and now fashions and our tastes have changed. thank you too for the ticking off. All biffing food has gone (i'd already eaten it!) and I'm easing back into the zone. dh is home later - I'm intending for him to have some bonding/ catch up time with the dcs tomorrow....so that I can go out for a run Wink

dinkystinky · 05/02/2011 21:35

Justaminute - the renovations will have me living on beans and air for the next few years (and we were saving up for a good couple of years before pressing the button on the renovation). Glad you're back in the zone.

Thinbride - and anyone else finding it hard to do press ups - start off doing wall press ups (stand up, keep core tight, back straight and press down against the wall - press back up with straight arms) - try this for a couple of days and you'll be able to progress to box press ups with much more ease, I promise. And the more you do press ups the easier they will eventually become.

knottyhair · 06/02/2011 09:06

Morning everyone! Justaminute, I totally get what you mean about the Shred, I can make myself do it even when I really don't feel like it by telling myself it's only 20 mins. Just done Level 2 for the 3rd time, and I still agree with TDW, you are a goddess! Got DP to try out one of the moves that I find particularly hard (the press with leg extensions?) and annoyingly he managed a minute of them without any problem at all! Mind you he is a builder so I guess he should find it quite easy! Jesus, I need some water now. Have a good day everyone.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 06/02/2011 10:54

Morning Girls, Dinky and Buda im very jealous of you getting renovations done, my house is on pause untill after we get married so no re-deorating for me (altho im getting a new kitchen chosen by myself from the lovely people at the council).

Just done day 2 level 1 of the shred and im feeling better for it. I really could not be bothered but its a rainy day here and we were having a lazy morning and i just though i can either sit here and do nothing or i can shred and use 20 mins of time i would of other wise wasted!

Off to trat myself to a georgeformaned smokie bacon toastd sarnie nom nom.

Guitargirl · 06/02/2011 11:52

Hi everyone, I biffed yesterday and was quite cross with myself. Am determined not to let it affect the whole weekend though so am back on track today.

Have just done day 1 of shred level 2. Dear God. It's going to take me ages to work up to doing level 2 without collapsing. And I was following Anita most of the time!

thedogwalker · 06/02/2011 12:15

Hi all

Good for you thinbride, you've done exactly what I've just done, and used up 20 mins of time. I feel much better for it. Well my DS was having his afternoon nap and level 2 was calling me again, it will defo be ages before I get used to this level. This is only my 2nd time but its bloomin hard.

Hey guitargirl, you only biffed for one day, not bad for a weekend, some would have thought what the hell might aswell biff all weekend, so big pat on back for getting back to it so quickly.

My DH is away again for another 6 days which normally makes it easier for me to stick to my diet (he always gets out the cheese and biscuits) so I hope to have another good week this week as he isn't here to distract me.

Hope everyone has a good sunday.

Hi everyone.
Its good to hear everyone is doing well in spite of one day biffs.

I shredded again this morning and think I'll go to level 2 tomorrow. I remember from the first time round that I really hated it. Those one legged things are a killer!

I had a bit of biffing today. We went to Soho to check out Chinese new year stuff and had some noodles with some salt and pepper chicken. The chicken was fried in batter. It was probably quite high in cals but was delicious though and I shared with dh so wasn't the worst.
We then stopped off at the Ils where we had some tea and biscuits after a tiring day.

Oh well, back to it tomorrow!

thedogwalker · 06/02/2011 18:36

Just got DS off to bed, DH away, so what to do now??? According to food focus I still have 562 calories to consume today. So me thinks a bit of chocolate and a Wine.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend, take care xx

Guitargirl · 07/02/2011 08:09

Well, despite what I said yesterday morning I have had a bifftastic weekend and it is showing drastically on the scales this morning. Now I have to spend all week trying to undo the damage......must remember this feeling next weekend when I am tempted.

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 07/02/2011 08:38

Guitargirl you have 4 days to redeem yourelf after the weekends biffage! Did you go totally mental or just 1 or 2 little things?

My DP came home on saturday after work with a multi pack of rolos, pack of ripples, a galaxy caramel bar (big) and 2 big bags of sensations!!!!!!!! Talk about shoving temption under my friggin nose. Well i did treat myself to a bag of hula hoops and a ripple as my treat (even compared the calories from the ripple to some galaxy to see what would be better and there was 42cals per SQUARE of caramel and only 176 in a whole ripple), any way the moral to my tale is i did put off all night having a treat till the last min and thought sod it im aloud a little goodie once a week but i felt realy crap after and put me off further Biffage.

Also i shredded this morning so thats day 3 done!

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 07/02/2011 08:39

Sorry i should of added that its about time as i have been biffing and feeling sit after and themn biffing more for so long i did not think i would break the cycle.

knottyhair · 07/02/2011 09:49

Morning everyone! Just done Day 4 of Level 2, and I'm still panting like a collie most of the way through it! It is getting a bit easier I think, but those squat thrusts and the one-legged things....

Guitargirl, put it behind you and start again from today, you can do it! Thinbride, I think that sounds fairly restrained under the circumstances, and well done on shredding! Shaxx, hope you're back on it today. Mind you, that Chinese food sound gorgeous! TDW, hope you enjoyed your chocolate and Wine!
I'm making chicken noodle soup for lunch, and then a bit of baking for DP & DS this afternoon - a fruit tea loaf, so I may be able to have a small slice later if my allowance is OK! Making prawn curry for tea. Have a good day everyone!

Guitargirl · 07/02/2011 10:25

thinbride - I went totally mental Blush

I had a major deadline for work today, DP took the DCs out yesterday and I spent the whole day from 8am until 10:30pm last night writing a report. I drank a whole bottle of wine during the course of the day, half a tube of Pringles, full-fat coke and chocolate ice-cream Blush Blush...Still, the report is done!

Day 2 of level 2 shred today - am psyching myself up...

iluvcake · 07/02/2011 10:41

Hello everyone! I am back from my biffing holidayBlush. Hope everyone is well and staying on track. Sorry to say I haven't been able to read through all the posts-it would take me all day-can't believe this thread is half full already!!

We had a great time but mucho wine, croissants and chocolate were consumed. I weighed myself this morning and have put on 4lbs. You would think the skiing would cancel out the food consumption but not in my case it would seemHmmAngry.

Glad to seeing there is lots of shredding going on. I shall be digging out my dvd too later I think!

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 07/02/2011 11:12

Guitargirl - At lest your report is done, now get down to burning off yesterdays biffage!

Iluvcake - glad you had a good holiday and im sure the 4lb will be off in no time.

justaminute · 07/02/2011 11:20

Iluv - welcome back. Nice to hear you had a good time. It?s official skiing holidays are no good for the waistline ? I put on 4lb last week due to biffing whilst dh was on his ski hols Blush. I?ll race you to lose it!

iluvcake · 07/02/2011 11:35

Thanks thinbride!

That's a deal justaminute! I just need to step away from the chocolate mini eggs .

Let's work the poundage off this week!!!

thedogwalker · 07/02/2011 12:35

Hi all

Knotty, didn't manage chocolate and Wine as my DH had eaten the last bit of xmas chocolate that I had been saving, so just had one Wine. I was not happy about his secret consumption of my treat, cheeky monkey he is.

Welcome back iluv, glad yo had a great holiday, that weight will come off in no time.

Guitar girl, dont worry, stay in the zone today and everything will fall back into place.

I have done day 3 of level 2 shred today, day 8 altogether. Did it first thing this mroning, which was a good job, as just popped into town with neighbour and ended up stopping for coffee and doughnut. I don't even really like them,(would have much preferred a danish pastry) just ate it for the sake of it. so how Angry at myself am I???

Not too fussed over the calories of the doughnut, as I can't seem to eat the allowance food focus has given me, but its the horrible fat content of it. Never mind, out for a brisk walk this afternoon to help my heart not harden up from the doughnut.

Hope everyone is having a good monday, take care xx

Welcome back Iluv - and Guitargirl, we all biff sometimes (including me today - accident with a pack of jaffa cakes - am doing body combat and zumba this evening to make up for it though). I agree with the advice - draw a line under it, get back in the zone and you'll be back on track in no time.

TDW - if it was a plain donut, its not that calorific so dont worry about it too much. Consider it your treat for today though...
