how was your weekend RG.

RGPargy · 24/03/2011 21:09

Helloooooo!!

Lost you all!!

The weekend was fabulous, Ria!

How are you doing lately?

Riapwhatyousow · 01/04/2011 19:49

amazingly I lost a pound at fat fighters this weekShock despite the half chinese takeaway the night before! we did the work-out before the weigh-in though so maybe that's why? And according to what I have written down it was actually 3lb. The woman in charge rang me up on Tuesday to "see if I was OK and to help me get back on track" as I had 2 weeks off with poorly children followed by poorly self.
Must get back on plan though. Am a bit keen on junk food and wine again ATM as am still feeling a bit pants from the poorliness.
I did a 5+ mile hike with poorly DS3 in his pushchair (back killer) to celebrate my birthday, and have been off mucking out horses again. I ache! If only I didn't eat, and have that wine to reward myself for all my hard work, I would be stick thinWink

glad you had a good weekend RG.How are you doing? It's good to have you back on the thread, FB isn't quite the same as here.

RGPargy · 15/04/2011 13:26

Hi everyone! :o

Not doing too greatly as usual. I just cant stop being a pig and going over my calorie limit! It's doing my head in!! I've gained 2.8lbs this week but that is probably due to copious amounts of wine that have been consumed this week. Arse bandits. Wish i could focus more with the food. Exercise is fine - i have that habit well and truly under my belt but the food thing is a different story......

How's everyone else doing?

RGPargy · 28/04/2011 13:26

Bumping!!!

Jammyrella · 29/04/2011 16:20

Hi :) Been awol for ages I know, but can I come back please?

Jammyrella · 01/05/2011 20:12

OMG, I just did my old Davina super body workout DVD for the first time in AGES and was nearly sick half way through. I had forgotten how hard it is and how unfit I am. But even so it was fun, and with the odd minute missed here and there (and the easy options taken when offered) I did it!!!!

RGPargy · 03/05/2011 16:01

Hi jammy! well done on doing the DVD!! :o

This thread is v slow isn't it Hmm

Jammyrella · 03/05/2011 21:42

Thanks RG :) How are you?

Pleased to report that I have lost 4kg in the past fortnight Grin (having put most of last year's loss back on over the past few months Blush). LOADS and LOADS more to go but got to start somewhere!

RGPargy · 06/05/2011 16:30

Yay!! Well done JAmmy!! that's great news! :o

Apparently my body is changing shape but those pesky scales aren't moving much...... Hmm

Probably too much of this ----> Wine

Jammyrella · 06/05/2011 19:14

And well done you for getting toned up RG :)

Now will I find the will to get off my arse and go for a brisk walk at least this evening? I really fancy opening bottle, but that way madness lies!

pobbob · 06/05/2011 19:32

Evening all, can I join?
New to the site.

Would like to lose at least half a stone if I can, by the summer if poss.
Need motivating sometimes! Have slacked off the wii fit over the last few months, blaming it on moving house and now decorating the place (it all needs doing, it was in a terrible state)
Glad to hear so many successes on here, and the encouragement you all give each other xx

Jammyrella · 06/05/2011 20:46

Hi pobbob, and welcome.

I'm quite [envious] if you've only got half a stone or so to lose. But I also imagine it's just as hard to get motivated? It's so easy to put it off isn't it! I just made myself go out for a walk. Didn't want to, but told myself I was going to at least go round the block (10 mins). Once I got going that soon stretched to the longer way round, and then I found myself really enjoying it and adding diversions in to push myself a bit further! Ended up walking for 40 mins, and going 2 miles :)

pobbob · 06/05/2011 21:04

Well done jammyrella
I felt quilty after posting as I looked at the group title and realised that I probably don't belong here.... however, I do appreciate the motivation!
I was going for a walk this evening, me and my partner mapped it out, about 2 miles long, but then thunder and rain struck so we had to delay....
Well done on your walk! Thats great that you did so much more than planned!
I've looked up aqua fit and swimming times for next week, so hopefully can get started with that!
xx

RGPargy · 06/05/2011 22:46

Hello and welcome Pobbob. Everyone is welcome here! :o

Jammyrella · 09/05/2011 20:13

Had a go with the Davina DVD again tonight. Was dong muc better, even managed to do some of the full options rather than taking all the easy options :) But then the DVD froze and I couldn't get it to finish, so had to finish 10 minutes early. But I did do the warm up and almost all the main workout, so really just missed the cool down and stretches. DH has now ripped the disc to the hard drive of our recorder, so I should be able to play it now without having to find the disc and worry about it messing up again.

How are you doing RG and Pobbob and any lurkers? I'm sorry to say I did have chocolate cake yesterday, but I did go for a swim (and walked to the pool) so it wasn't all bad.

Am trying to think of a nice non-food but also non-expensive treat for when I get to 10kg lost. Any suggestions?

RGPargy · 12/05/2011 10:18

Hi Jammy :)

What a pain about your DVD freezing! I didn't manage to get to the gym on Tuesday night and was going to do my Taebo DVD with DD was at nursery but alas, it never happened as i was busy making a cake so i could decorate it after DD went to bed.

No sure about a non-foody treat. I would suggest some new clothes or something like that. How about a Dr Fish treatment if you can handle it, or some new nails or something?? Depends what you're into really doesn't it! :)

Jammyrella · 12/05/2011 20:15

Well I did it all the way through tonight, yay! And it IS definitely easier than a week ago :)

What's taebo? And I love the thought of missing an exercise session because of making cake :o

Which reminds me, I've tried to teach DD (almost 4) that all foods are good, and everything has something in it that's good for you, some give you energy, some have vitamins that keep you well, some make your bones strong etc, and it's good to eat a wide range of things so you get a bit of everything. I have also said that some foods are healthier than others, so some things we can eat every day and some only as treats. But now she is asking why I'm not eating X,Y,Z and why I have to exercise so much. So far I've told her that because I've eaten too many treats than was healthy in the past I now hve to have none (or nearly none) of them for a while until it balances out, and then I can have them as treats the same as she does. I've put it as me trying to be extra healthy for a while. Does that seem reasonable? I don't want to get her screwed up about food!

Riapwhatyousow · 12/05/2011 22:23

I am really glad to find you guys still hereSmile

be back soon when my lapptop is fixed Rx

RGPargy · 13/05/2011 10:26

Jammy - that sounds very reasonable to me!! I think you have dealt with it very well!

(there's a pic of my cake on my profile, btw!).

Jammyrella · 13/05/2011 14:30

fab cake!!

RGPargy · 13/05/2011 16:29

Thanx Jammy! :o

Riasdragonflytattoo · 13/05/2011 16:53

That sounds very sensible Jammy, much better than the healthy eating scarmongering they do at school!

welcome to the thread pobbob.

I am stuck ATM, Wine also being a problem. Haven't been to my dance class or fat fighters for weeks either as I have no confidence and am behind with all my housework and studies. New AD's so hopefully will see some changes soon. Also have blood tests next week.

Hope you uys hve a great weekend, and I hope to keep up with the thread more now I've found it againSmile

Riasdragonflytattoo · 13/05/2011 16:55

RGPargy · 13/05/2011 16:59

Nice to see you back again Ria! :o
