sorry this link

MickeyMixer · 16/01/2011 20:29

Thanks Smile But I think it wouldn't work for me - I love cooking - just gotta do it without adding a knob of butter and a pot of cream and a slosh of wine to everything!

keepingupwiththejoneses · 16/01/2011 20:59

I hate cooking so this is ideal for me.

happynewRia · 16/01/2011 21:34

I am indifferent to cooking!
Actually, for someone who really isn't that fussed about food, it's amazing I am so fatWink
are the diet chef meals reasonable portions then? and do you get to bulk them up with veg? I wouldn't do it because I can't afford it, but it's always interesting to know about things!

Have had a dreadful few daysBlush, and feeling really rough again.

Hope to try a different zumba class tomorrow, taught by my dance teacher. am wondering if it will be better taught froma dance perspective rather than sports coach angle?

MickeyMixer · 16/01/2011 22:19

Ria - How are you getting on with Zumba - I quite fancy that - is it any good? There's a class in my town hall just starting next week.

happynewRia · 17/01/2011 10:40

I have been a few times to zumba at the gym, but I struggle with the rhythms, and would prefer it to be more dancey and less shouty, it's a good laugh, but it's hard to keep up. I will be going to my latin/ballroom class tomorrow though, and may stay on for dancercise. DH has just told me he is probably working tonight after all, so I won't be able to go.

weighed in with a stay-the-same this week (thankfully), so am aiming for a reasonable loss on Monday. Am struggling with the motivation to just stay awake thoughSad

happynewRia · 17/01/2011 19:15

mickey - my friend told me there is a new zumba game for Wii coming out in March!

feel sickSad

weegiemum · 17/01/2011 19:17

I'd like to join, I need to lose about 7 stone.

Am eating healthily and swimming teice a week plus walking to work instead of driving.

Not sure I will ever do it though.

It would be so cool to have a dress size that didn't start with a "2"!

MickeyMixer · 17/01/2011 19:45

Weegiemum - I am trying a new stategy this time (I lost six stone a in 2007 - but its all back on now Sad) This time I am not going to wait to be a mythical size 10 (HAR HAR HAR) before I buy new clothes... I am going to treat myself to a whole new outfit for every stone or half stone lost!! Expensive but 'I'm worth it!'

Ria - Zumba sounds a bit complicated - I'd just like a bit of a dance! Perhaps I'll just walk to the gym and back 3 times a week instead to save on gym fees!! Wink

Tomato Bouillaibaisse for tea tonight - smells good - nearly ready to eat ....

happynewRia · 18/01/2011 09:51

LOL mickey. walking to our gym is a workout in itself!

Really dodgy tummy, quite ill in the night, so will have to miss dance class again. Am gutted. Might have to buy myself some new shoes to cheer myself up (and motivated self to go next week)

happynewRia · 18/01/2011 09:51

welcome weegie. it's great top have new faces hereSmile

MickeyMixer · 19/01/2011 21:52

SW weigh in tonight - yay woop woop 6.5 lbs gone!! Just got to do that every weeek for the rest of my natural life and I'm sorted.

hope you're feeling better happynewRia Smile

happynewRia · 20/01/2011 09:25

yay mickey, well done.

was meant to be going to the gym with my friend to try a class this morning. she isn't going, and I was going to brave it by myself but I got the time wrong, so have missed itBlush

happynewRia · 21/01/2011 23:07

happy birthday RGSmile hope you enjoyed and overindulged.

went for a 45 min walk on the seafront tonight, in the dark with the tide in, FABSmile good for the soul if not the body. Shame the sea wasn't rougher.

RGPargy · 24/01/2011 11:59

Hi everyone and welcome to the newbies!! :o

Poor DS Ria!! how is his lip now?

Had a lovely birthday weekend. Tons and tons of cake and alcohol so it was perfect!

Didnt go to the gym this morning as i didn't sleep too well (DS issues) and am feeling just exhausted atm, both physically and emotionally!!

I am going to try my very best to keep my calories on track for today tho!

happynewRia · 25/01/2011 11:26

self-esteem low, anxiety high, will-power rock bottom Sad

hope you get your DS sorted RG. You never consider, when stuggling with puke, sleepless nights and teething, just how much easier it doesn't get. Take care.

went to dance class, had a laugh, didn't stay to dancercize. there's an "older lady" who obviously disapproves of me, made a snide remark about jeans... bet she didn't say it to the Doctors wife who was wearing...jeans Biscuit

electricslide · 25/01/2011 13:26

Hi there, can I join you?
I've been a SW joiner/rejoiner for about 3 years but am basically back where i started. I am struggling to get my seatbelt on if I have a coat on and am starting to dread planes and one day being offered the extra big belt extender :(

So, my shiny new kitchen is finished so we are back being able to cook from scratch, so I'm going to join SW online tonight. I can't make a class as DH is never home in time so I'm going to try this for 3 months.

I think I have about 5 stone to lose, tbh anything is better than where I am now.

Wish me luck.

happynewRia · 25/01/2011 13:30

good luck electricslide.

CherryPie3 · 25/01/2011 16:48

Pleeease may I join you ladies?

I need to lose ALOT!! I'm 5'6 and I haven't been weighed since my booking in appointment last January.....ds2 is now almost 7m old.

I am a flabby mess, haven't a clue how dh could possibly find me attractive anymore... And we have 2 possibly 3 weddings to attend this year....don't want to be the fattest wife, again!

To make it worse I am a baker...I bake cupcakes every single day! And I tend to gobble nibble the leftover mixture. Greedy.

Please Please Please....help me!!

CherryPie3 · 25/01/2011 16:49

FWIW - at that booking in appointment I was over 18st and my bmi was calculated at 41 :(

happynewRia · 25/01/2011 21:58

cherrypie, I was refused a water birth for DS3 - 10 mins after the pool was filled - because I was over the "safe" weightSad

DS3 is now 3 1/2, and I am still a lump. My slimmest was the first week home with DS3Blush

I know your situation with work - my DH is a chef, so if we eat together we eat at stupid times, he is all cooked out so we have crap and takeaways etc.

and I am in a stupid defeatist mood due to lack of confidence. (not helped by my hair-dye efforts haveing gone slightly too dark brown for my pasty winter complexion to carry off. I want my purple hair back!!!)

RGPargy · 25/01/2011 22:08

Oh Ria, keep your chin up sweetie. Hope you have a better day tomorrow. There's nothing wrong with jeans! I love 'em! :o

Hello and welcome Electricslide! I know what you mean about the seatbelts and aeroplane seats! Thankfully I am on the way down now, although i think anyone would struggle to fit comfortably in a squeezyjet seat!! Best of luck to you! BTW, am v. Envy of you having a new shiny kitchen!

Hi Cherrypie! We're all in the same boat here, welcome aboard! I dont think i envy you being a baker with all those cupcakes!! Perhaps when you're baking, could you not try something like chewing some gum so that you cant eat the left over mixture? Sorry if you've already tried this - just thinking of something that i would do if i had to try and stop nibbling on the scrummy cake mix! It must be so hard for you! Your booking in appointment weight and BMI sounds about the same as mine was, and DD is 3 years old now!

I now weigh around 17st 5lbs but my health is much improved as I go to the gym 5 times a week and mostly do 2 classes at a time. My trouble is portion sizes and wine. I do far too much of both so now i am calorie counting and trying desperately to lay off the wine during the week. It's proving to be a bit difficult tho as it was my birthday on Saturday and since then people keep buying me bottles of wine!!! Shock

Welcome aboard everyone! :o

happynewRia · 25/01/2011 22:22

wine is lovelySmile, think I am celebrating your birthday too RGWink

I think me and 2 school mums have an arrangement to go to zumba in the morning. Just hope my headache stays away.

am going to buy some feck-off glittery shoes to piss off the old ladies. why shouldn't I learn to dance? I may be fat, crap, and half the age of all the others (and the rest), but it's a laugh, and it makes me feel good 9old bags aside). And a bit of feeling good is what I need right now.

RGPargy · 25/01/2011 22:36

lol Ria! Always happy to have a virtual glass or two with you!

Good for you re pissing the old ladies off. People like that really get on my t*ts!

I have step and pump in the morning. I really shouldn't be drinking wine the night before i exercise. It's a killer on my performance! Hmm
