Welcome one and all - if you're following the new WW ProPoints plan then this is the thread for you!

Whether you need to lose a little or a lot you'll be right at home, we're friendly, supportive and we're all in the same boat!

androbb is our resident stats checker and helps to track what we've lost as a thread so far, nothing more motivating then seeing just how much weight is coming off.

Feel free to dive in and join us Grin

Hi, can anyone help with propoints value for fat free activia blueberry yoghurt? Being a good girl going online and tracking Grin

Willabywallaby · 20/01/2011 13:20

sorry Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2011 13:34

willa 2pp

norma, i did look at your pics before still dont think you need to lose 2 stone more from 2nd pic- but you look fab!!!

froot · 20/01/2011 13:38

Just checked and mussels 3 Pp for 100g without shells and scallops were 2 Pp for nine . I usually try to order fish if I am out but often am seduced by something less healthy !

Bit p'd off as the delicious ww recipe for lentil bake with sweet potato topping which I have just made and then worked out the points is now about 17pp instead of 7 in old money!!! I suPpose because it is carb heavy and protein light . Will just have to exercise a bit of portion control which is not my strong point .......

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 20/01/2011 14:13

Welcome to Secretwishes, and Dearprudence.

Congratulations on losses LeeWT, Sweetheart, Lorelai, Benandme, HMC, Androbbob and Collision

Suicra I've heard the last bit can take a time to lose, hang in there.

Gibberish best wishes to your DD and congrats on the gym session, that sounds amazingly energetic !

Well done Willaby on weighing less than you thought, I always find it is the other way round and get a nasty shock.

Good luck tonight Blondes, fingers crossed for you.

Froot, I'd have choked on it with so many points, flipping heck ! I did a double take when calculating the points of the lentils I had chucked in a soup recently and had to eek it out over several days as a result.

Sparkle and TartyMcfarty well done for getting back on the wagon. Is is so important to be able to do that.

Lucky, what a fab friend. My SW weigh in friend put on 1lb todayand was gutted. She'd gone to a friend's house for a meal over the weekend and was a bit sad that her friend had served up loads of SW unfriendly food, despite having lost stacks of weight doing it previously. I shall work on converting her to PP as I think it will suit her better.

VNmum, I try to be pretty light on carbs on a Wednesday ready for my Thursday weighin.

Norma I hope I look like you when I have 2 stone to go ! Am going to make that Chorizo lasagne this week hopefully.

Weigh in this morning was a 2lb loss and got a sticker for going down a number which was my next mini goal. Think my next one is 3 stone which is another 3.5lbs, will try to take two weeks for that.

gibbberish · 20/01/2011 14:16

willaby well done on your first WI.

Well done collision

)lorelai it might seem very daunting for your goal weight to be so far away. But even if it takes you say 2 years to get to your goal, that will be a blip in your lifetime. I've been thinking about the amount of years I have been overweight and on and off diets and worked out it has been almost 30 years Shock So if it takes me a year to get to goal that is actually a tiny percentage of the total time 'dieting' iyswim.

You absolutely can and will do it. Just work towards small goals. Every little goal completed is a step closer to your ultimate goal.

norma, dd3 didn't have too good a night as she couldn't get comfortable atall. My mum has given her a neck pillow which heats up in the microwave. That seems to be easing the pain a bit.

Managed to force dd1 to go to the doctor. We suspected weeks ago she had a chest infection but she refused to make an appt. I finally made one for her and took her there (amid much grumbling - who knew a 17yo could still have tamtrums?). Doc says she has obviously had this chest infection for some time and her breathing is all over the place so has given her a course of antibiotics. If they don't work she has to go to hospital.

Am going to name my home 'The House of Doom'.

Anyway, despite all the sick children all over the place, am feeling incredibly motivated still! It is usually around this time on a diet that I am looking for excuses to stop, but I can't believe I'm actually enjoying this! Have recommended ww to my best friend and she is swithering with joining. Would love her to do it 'with' me (she is 350miles away from me).

gibbberish · 20/01/2011 14:19

tamtrums???

Thanks wynken Smile. And well done on the 2lbs loss! Result!

shonnomanom · 20/01/2011 14:22

Had first weigh in today, lost 4lbs!! Grin yeah!! I was a but concerned standing on the scales that I wouldnt have lost because I had used some of the Indulgance Points (I feel like using them is cheating), my mum didnt touch hers and she lost 4.5 lbs so Im feeling a bit more confident about it all now.

hmc · 20/01/2011 14:25

Well done shonnomanom - but they are not indulgence points. If you eat every single one of the weekly 49, providing you have tracked accurately, you should have a calorie deficit and will lose weight (she says, parroting her WW leader)

Lorelai · 20/01/2011 14:30

Thanks for all the supportive messages. I think I am finding it a bit depressing because I did get down to 15 stone 2 years ago due to an overactive thyroid but managed to put it all back on again scarily quickly, so now I have to do it the hard way!

Willabywallaby · 20/01/2011 15:33

Well done Sho that's brilliant!

Secretwishescometrue · 20/01/2011 15:41

Hi all, thank you Norma and everyone for the kind welcome :) you all sound like ye are getting on really well with the new program, some really fantastic losses fairplay to ye and that is super encouraging! I started yesterday even though the book says start from your next breakfast but I didn't see the reason what not too and with all the free veg and fruit it was a super healthy filling and not in the slightest bit depriving day Grin question though is it really ok to eat unlimited fruit? On the old system id have a load of today points spent on all the fruit iv had today Confused iv had 3 plums 2 bananas a grapefruit and an apple already Blush is that a bit excessive cause I would easily have another piece of something after dinner but wondering if I'm being greedy? This may sound stupid cause I'm only two days into the program but I feel healthier already!

NettieISroundlikefiggypudding · 20/01/2011 15:51

Hello my gosh, you girls do like a post. 938 since beg of jan.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2011 16:40

more losses- well done everyone :)

gibbberish · 20/01/2011 17:24

Well done shonno fab weight loss!

Welcome nettiel a holiday is great incentive!

secret according to the ww mag (which I have memorised haha) fruit has been accounted for in your points. They said they don't reckon anyone could exceed what they have been allocated so you can eat as much as you want but only until you are satisfied. I guess gorging onn two tonnes of bananas just might affect your weight loss haha!

LuckyLight · 20/01/2011 18:41

LeeWT I would deffo have the McDonalds if it's the same pps!! In fact, I'll be having one saturday using my weekly pps!

I've exercised everyday this week since Saturday. I got a bit worried last night cos I found myself not admitting it to my friends in case they told me off for becoming obssessed...??? It's only been half an hour most days, apart from the day I went to a spin class. It means I have earned 35 extra activity pps this week!!!! I won't be using them, but imagine the feast if I did!

Sho WELL DONE!!!!! So chuffed for you....has it motivated you to keep going? A friend of mine lost 7lbs her first week and 5.5lbs her second...that's nearly a stone in 2 weeks!!! (she's probably about 15 stone?)

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2011 18:58

Off to the gym to kick arse at body combat

I shall lose a lb Tom

bigTillyMint · 20/01/2011 19:08

secret our leader said that if you eat a normal amount of fruit, that would be fine - she seemed to think 3-4 pieces would be OK.

But she also said people don't get fat by eating too much fruit, so how much is too much?!

bigTillyMint · 20/01/2011 19:11

lucky isn't government advice to do half an hour exercise every day? It's certainly nothing to be embarrassed about - your friends would probably be more likely to be jealous of your will-power!

Me too Envy

lobsters · 20/01/2011 21:49

I only lost 1/2 lb this week, but I'm not too surprised, I was doing really well til Sunday when i got a rotten cold, so exercise went out of the window as I couldn't breathe and I jsut ate chocolate to cheer me up. No reason I can't to it this week. If I lost 1.5 lbs this week I will have raeched half a stone, so want to get to that.

I'll try and get for a run tomorrow

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/01/2011 22:05

Well done lobsters :)

NormaSknockers · 21/01/2011 07:27

Morning all,

Just sticking my head in quickly - will catch up properly a little bit later :)

froot · 21/01/2011 07:54

Just looked at my email and loads of butternut squash info From hungrygirl - it's an American thing so i dont think we can get the tv progamme in the uk - but maybe if you have sky ??- not actually to do with ww I don't think but she often gives Pp values with her tips - you will find it if you google.

NormaSknockers · 21/01/2011 08:04

Thank you Blondes :) have 1 stone 6.5lbs to go now 'til goal but it does need to come off, my belly and bum are still carrying quite a bit of weight and my upper arms and face too!

Ooo enjoy the chorizo lasagne Wynken I found I was able to up the chorizo to 80g and it made no difference to the points value! Well done on the 2lb loss too, excellent!

How is DD today gibberish? Well done for staying motivated, can be tricky at times like that!

Well done sho fab loss! Don't feel you can't use the weekly points, aside from last week I have used all of mine every single week and I still lose!

Well done on your loss too lobsters best of luck for your half stone next week!

Morning froot! Sounds worth a google Grin
