Here is the new thread for us to achieve success in Xmas Smile

Old thread is here

I'll change my name to my "Christmas" one after Saturday: I'm helping to organise the Scottish Mumsnet Christmas meet-up and it might confuse things if I change my name.

OP posts:
GettinTrimmer · 23/01/2011 13:30

today:

Activia Snackpot yogurt (3pp)

cappuccino (3pp ??)
1/2 pint s/skimmed milk (tea & coff) (4pp)
Jacket potato with veggie chilli (in sainsburys) (8pp - guestimate!)
Banana

Blondes - if you get a chance, I make this 18, does that sound about right? I have that wheel thing to work stuff out.

So I'm planning roast spuds, pile of free veg, quorn sausages and gravy which will bring me up to 29 for today.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 13:44

sounds about right trimmer :)

can you use skimmed milk in tea/cereal and save 2pp per 1/2pint?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 15:30

Smokin hope ofsted goes well - must be interesting working there

smokinaces · 23/01/2011 16:29

It is interesting Blondes, been there over 6 years now and its hard work (and emotional at times) but I do enjoy it mostly. Done 4.5hours overtime so far, and a bit more when the kids are in bed.

I popped to the shops and bought a dress in NewLook in their designer bit. Not sure if its Mutton as Lamb or not, will try it again later, but its really not my normal style so thought I would try it. Never fitted in their stuff before. Have also gone down to a 34 bra from a 36. Still got about 2st to go, but am feeling more motivated than I have in a long while. Maybe the stopping smoking back in October helped.

Off to sort dinner and the kids and do some more work tonight.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/01/2011 16:48

Gave the Old Vic your love today GT! We walked back from St Pauls to Waterloo, straight past although didn't see Kev Sad

Ironing now. That must burn calories?!

Murtette · 23/01/2011 18:22

Murtette dashes in and catches up having realised that she can't MN in the office and so wondering when on earth she'll have time to catch up with you all.

Well done on some more fantastic losses. Blondes - another 7lbs (so possibly only another 3 weeks) and you'll be at your target! Bebe - you won't pile it all on again. It will take a while to adjust to maintaining. You know how to lose weight (remember you were the most successful of all of us) and your jeans will let you know whether you need to have a couple of "good" days.

I'm feeling slinkier today despite having AF so am hoping for a loss tomorrow. I had some more of Bebe's delicious celery soup for lunchtime but then a friend called and suggested we went to a bar (which has soft play in one corner on a Sunday afternoon - very good idea!) so had some wine and crisps.

Bebe - you should definitely set up a cake business. You are so talented.

Piste - how long did it take you to notice yyou weren't in your sports bra? I think I'd notice after the first step. I used to do that walk from St P to Waterloo every day and really miss it. I felt so priviledged to see such amazing sights each day and it was particularly fab when there were buskers o on the south bank.

Gettin - well done on your exam result!

Smokin - good luck with Ofsted. It must be daunting when you haven't experienced it before. Well done on the dress.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 18:39

murtette phones are a wonderful invention :)

I think I'm going to have to go lower in weight :( to try and tone up more

I'm 7 lbs away from goal weight but I'm still not in my trousers :( and that's what I'm measuring against

I can get my weight lower than 11 stone but I can't relistally keep it there and continue to enjoy life and eat

I got down to 10/7 before and looked ok but within a few weeks I gained back to 11 and kept it there happily for 5years

When I was 11 stone I could fit into my trousers quite easily hence why that's my goal weight

I have a saggy tummy and no amount of sit ups will make it smaller

'blondes wails' :( :(

Will see what happens if and when I get to 11 stone

bebejones · 23/01/2011 18:47

Evening ladies! :)

Blondes - DH starting 2moro. Had a McDs at lunch, but I had a salad & then cooked stir fry for dinner! Your roast sounds lovely. Envy Wink

Smokin - congrats on the dress, bet it looks lovely & not muttony at all!

Piste - I'm sure ironing must burn loads of calories...loathsome task!

Thanks for nice comments about my cupcakes. I'm trying to sort out all the 'official' stuff for starting up a cake business. I need to do hygiene certificates (can do online) and register & be inspected by the council. All very scary. Just getting in plenty of practise for now. Took cupcakes round to ILs, so wasn't tempted to scoff them! FIL is very excited at the prospect of being 'official cake taster' while I practise!! Will be having to give stuff away to avoid eating it all while I'm trying stuff out! Hmm

bebejones · 23/01/2011 18:49

XPost Blondes - No amount of sit ups will help my saggy tummy either! :(

Don't give up hope. 7lbs can make a hell of a difference size wise.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 19:17

it was scrummy :)

blondes roast

i hope 7lbs makes a difference but im uncertain tbh :(

smokinaces · 23/01/2011 19:36

I'm just noticing how saggy my belly is too Sad I am nearly at the weight I was when I got married, yet my stomach is no where near as trim. a 10lber baby has wrecked it hasnt it? Sad

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 19:41

most/all of you have had children and earned gained a saggy tummy - no blondes babes here and got a very saggy tummy :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/01/2011 20:04

I think with or without children our shape changes as we get older. I think I am considerably older than you blondes so I can say that with authority!

My tummy isn't too dreadful, although it will never come out in public again, its my bangers that have lost the plot.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 20:06

i will get my bangers baps out on holiday along with my saggy tummy as no one knows me there Grin

smokinaces · 23/01/2011 20:09

aaah, see my bangers are still rather good. even after 2 pregnancies, weight gain and breastfeeding for a year they are an F/G cup and even though slightly saggy still very full. hope losing the next 2 stone doesnt change them too much!

I will just have to result to Gok Wan style stuck it inn knickers!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 20:19

smokin can you do the pencil trick Grin

alas i cant :(

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 20:27

trimmer just for you

found this fab link - rem to use uk one

ww pp calculator

smokinaces · 23/01/2011 20:27

what hold a pencil under my boobs? I can hold 2 I reckon Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 20:38

the pencil is meant to drop on the floor Grin

smokinaces · 23/01/2011 20:43

Cant remember them ever having dropped to the floor - having G cup boobs means they have to sit by the ribcage or my god I'd look Jordan-esque!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/01/2011 21:15

Right I am about to try this. Is the pencil supposed to drop? Is it very bad if it just sits there?

I have a pencil and am good to go.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 21:32

Pencil meant to fall to floor

If they don't (ie pencil clings to the space under yr boobs) then you don't have pert boobs

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/01/2011 21:36

Well I think I know how this will end...

RatherBeOnThePiste · 23/01/2011 21:38

Well, there was no clattering sound of a pencil hitting the floor was there?

Hey ho.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 21:50

Oh dear :(. ((hugs))

Piste I'm sure you have perky pistes Grin
