Here is the new thread for us to achieve success in Xmas Smile

Old thread is here

I'll change my name to my "Christmas" one after Saturday: I'm helping to organise the Scottish Mumsnet Christmas meet-up and it might confuse things if I change my name.

2lb loss for me this week Grin im well happy under the 13st mark yay.

Well done piste to everyone who has lost this week. Smokin think I may come for dinner sounds yummy yummy.

Bebe you have done so well its fab you can easily shift the 2lb.

bebejones · 21/01/2011 13:06

Thanks guys, I'm hoping that having broadband will help! Being able to talk to you & food focusing & occupying myself instead of picking at food coz I'm bored should make a difference!

Have just cleaned out my kitchen cupboards & reorganised everything, that was a happy 2 hours! Hmm But have thrown away loads of crap, including sweets that DD had been bought by MIL that i was never going to give her! She's coming tonight, wonder how much crap she will bring this time? She's already cocked up dinner plans by bringing DHs niece with her. Aaaarrrggghh! (This is not my StepMIL who is lovely & looks after DD loads, but the crazy one who does my head in!)

Asda order coming this afternoon, chocked full of good, healthy stuff! Must get head back in game, jeans are getting tight! Blush

Well done to everyone on some fab losses this week! Hoping your mojo rubs off! :o

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/01/2011 19:59

Bebe- Sounds like you are making good preparations for a kick start for you and your DH. My MIL brings lots of crappy junk stuff for my DC, and I don?t let them have it either!

Clear the crap, and GT is right when she says plan your meals for each day, so you know exactly what you are having. Your body is too precious to fill it with crap. You really don?t want this to be the year when you put all the weight back on. You are amazing and have done so well, that would be a catastrophe. You need to get a grip girl, regain your motivation and get back in the zone!
HTH Wink

Laughalot - a good loss, well done!

Blondes - Go girl! You are zoning for sure!

Pretty - Going strong there!

Smokin - You are right about weight loss slowing down, good luck though. Lovely nosh you?re having, I?m just on my way, so lay a place for me !

Smalline - Your poor woofa in his cone of shame Sad hope he continues to improve rapidly.

GT - Going strong there GT! Good exercising too.

bebejones · 21/01/2011 20:05

Smalline - Poor Doggy :( Hope he is out of the cone soon! :(

Thanks for the kick Piste!
Dinner plans were thwarted by MIL bringing chips! Blush But that's it now, back in the zone 2moro...promise! And she only brought one bag of milkybar sweets for DD, so will perhaps ration them or use them as potty/toilet bribes!

Motivation on the back burner for me right now :( hoping that when DH starts dieting next week things will be easier!

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/01/2011 21:14

Bebe - next week when you and dh diet together you will be in the zone :)

smokinaces · 21/01/2011 21:40

Dinner was lovely, and for an extra treat we put the fruit in red jelly Grin

am mega stressed though, had the dreaded OFSTED phone call, so have been to the office (work M-W) and spent an hour there sorting bits out to work from home, and done 90 minutes tonight. more planned for the weekend. Managed to fit in a 30 minute work out, but stress is making me need chocolate - and I know Mon-Wed I will be too busy to eat properly so will have to take lots of fruit etc to snack. Arent going to see my kids hardly at all either, as have had to extend care to be 8-6 for next week to prepare.

Only one week though. and maybe the adrenilin will help the weight loss! But if I'm not around till midweek thats where I'll be!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/01/2011 21:57

Good luck with ofsted. Jump through the hoops, play the game. A friend of mine is an ofsted inspector and trust me, they don't know everything!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 09:10

well done laughalot on loss

bebe throw away sweets and motivate yourself, but dont worry about the chips

when is dh starting diet?

'blondes also kicks bebes bony bum to keep her on track'

smokin sorry ive missed the ofsted thing - whats up? are you a cm?

off to the gym to kick arse Grin

bebejones · 22/01/2011 09:57

Right, a new start!

Had porridge made with skimmed with blueberries & a drizzle of honey.

Will have soup for lunch & probably cheaty carbonara for dinner! (yes I know it doesn't have cheese in it, but it's still quite yummy)

DH 'officially' starts on Monday. Will try & steer him in the right direction over the next couple of days!! Wink Even though MIL brought a load of chocolate with her for him!

Smokin - Good Luck with ofsted

Blondes - have fun at the gym! :o

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 13:21

Go Bebe - silly mil - is she trying to kill her son? Hmm

Can you post Yr cheats carbonara again please - will try and PP it :)

GettinTrimmer · 22/01/2011 13:28

Seem to be having a couple of days off, had a curry last night, wine, naughty snacking today Blush

Bebe - you sound like you're getting back into the zone.

A carefully counted 29 points for me tomorrow.

laughalot - well done!

smokin - OFSTED's a pain (so I've heard!) good luck. What does M-W stand for?

piste - it is good to plan, I have to follow my own advice tomorrow after being a bit bad.

Smalline - how's your poor doggy?

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 14:52

trimmer, you can have curry on wwpp - just use out of your 49 extra pp

bebejones · 22/01/2011 15:05

Cheat carbonara

Portion of pasta (spahetti works well)
2 rashers of smoked trimmed back bacon, or turkey rashers, per person, cooked & chopped
Tablespoon of low fat Creme fraiche
Salt & pepper to taste

Cook pasta, drain, stir in cooked bacon & creme fraiche, season, serve straight away, gets cold quickly!

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 16:17

thanks bebe - wonder if i can use phili instead

GettinTrimmer · 22/01/2011 16:28

I think I've had more than 49 extra Blondes, I am going running tomorrow, hoping it will even out as that will reduce the extra a bit.

Thanks for Cheat Carbonara recipe Bebe.

I guestimate it would be about 10pp per portion.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 16:50

What have you been eating trimmer to go over Yr 49 PP in one day?

Possibly a bit more than 10 - the pasta 6pp and bacon 4PP so depends if you use phili cheese / lf creme fraiche then could be 2pp for the phili light - so 12pp but cld be lower if use chopped ham

bebejones · 22/01/2011 18:47

Are turkey rashers lower? Hmm

Been bad again, DH having a last meal of the condemmed man (pizza) I did only have 2 small slices & a handful of potato wedges!! Blush Carbonara 2moro now!

Have been good all day until dinner time though.

Made some cupcakes (pic on profile) as I'm considering starting up a cake business. So wanted to have a practise. Definitely time to invest in some proper 'tools'!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/01/2011 19:14

Had a lovely afternoon - took DC and friends to see Hairspray. Love, love, love it. Really amazing dancing. But they all had loads of choc and sweets and because they are all such lovely teens, they shared!!

So have just been running to try to combat the indulgence!

GettinTrimmer · 22/01/2011 19:59

You are talented Bebe, just looked at your cupcakes, they are superb. You can fit a business around childcare - ideal really when you think about it.

I found out earlier on that I passed my word processing exam with distinction Smile celebrating with a celery stick later!

Blondes - I had onion bhajees, mushroom biryani, 3 glasses of wine, terry's chocolate orange segments, hula hoops, and haven't been counting points today, gone well over. I need to be told off Blush carefully counting 29 points worth for tomorrow.

Piste - the show sounds great. I am contemplating a trip to London at some point to see Kevin Spacey as Richard III (not everyone's cup of tea), sure you can run off the chocolate.

bebejones · 22/01/2011 20:09

Piste - I'm sure you can run it off! I love Hairspray the film, would love to see it on stage. My mum and I are planning to go & see The Wizard of Oz when it opens! :) Can't wait!

Trimmer - I'd love to tell you off, but I have been naughty lately so have no right to!
Thanks for being so nice about my cupcakes! I was quite pleased with how they turned out, can't wait to get the proper kit!
Well done on passing with distinction, you clever thing you!! :o

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/01/2011 20:26

Lovely cakes Bebe!

If you love Hairspray and get a chance - the stage show is fabulous fun!

I'd love to see Richard III, Kevin Spacey should be v good, but you have a while to wait , isn't it next year? Having said that, I bet you'd have to book a long way ahead. DD wants to see Romeo and Juliet ( reading for school ) we went to see Twelfth Night last year which was brilliant, she loved it. Richard Wilson as Malvolio ( genius )

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/01/2011 20:58

piste run forest piste run

Glad you enjoyed musical

Bebe your cakes are fab - said that before - you should start a cake business

Try putting an ad on netmums notice board saying you make cakes and you may get some replies

The odd slice of pizza is fine - don't give yourself a hard time and sure once dh gets unto it - you will be in the zone

Yes turkey rashers are low - so is turkey mince and tastes yummy - very sweet

trimmer we need to have words!!!!

That was a major blow out and yes I would say you went over Yr 49pp

But don't despair / you can redeem yourself

Have some soup next week or 4 rivitta 4pp plus 50g chicken roll 1pp and 2 dairy Lee light triangles 1pp and some fruit for lunch

'waves' to everyone else - where are you all :)

smokinaces · 23/01/2011 10:10

I am here briefly! Hope everyone having a good weekend. Just done a 30 min workout and about to go do some computer work for tomorrow.

Need a new outfit for next Saturday night - tried on a 16 in TK Maxx and it was too big! Was fab as have never fitted in one of their "designer" dress before.

I work in a Childrens Centre Monday-Wednesday, and we're being Ofsted'd this week - our first ever, and its rather scary. But, not much more I can do from here, once my work is up to date.

Will weigh tomorrow as normal, but not sure whether will get online tomorrow night to post. Am aiming for 3lb loss so fingers crossed!

GettinTrimmer · 23/01/2011 10:28

Piste - Tickets go on sale for Kev Spacey as Richard III on 31st January @ the old vic, so it must be soon. The last time I was there we walked down the stairs and there he was! I got his autograph.

Have you been to the Globe?

blondes Blush I am very naughty, the best I can do is damage limitation so I sts this week.

Ryvitas are good, I don't eat meat but I have quorn slices.

smokin that is a good feeling, it was brilliant last year when I wore summer clothes not fitted into for a long while...

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2011 11:49

trimmer meant to say well done for exam :) and quorm is low fat so you can riegn in a few pp there

smokin thats fab, well done - its a real incentive and will keep you going

bebe is hubby starting diet today?

im having roast gammon for lunch

100g gammon 5pp
100g potatoes 4pp
2 yorkies 2pp
free veg
gravy made with oxo cube 0pp

so 11pp in all :)
