I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaack!! :o Woo Hooo!! Thanks at last BT...who showed up by surprise! Shock Luckily just as I got back from shopping!!

Blondes - We only have one TV! :( I do get to Sky+ stuff but I don't often remember. Plus at the weekends DH will often record one game of something & watch another game! Hmm It used to be that because he pays for the Sky it's his toy! Hmm Hmm BUT we aren't paying for it coz it was part of my MN prize...hadn't thought of this before! Shall confiscate the remote! :o

On a plus note, DH is dieting as from next week! Place your bets how long this will last, I give it 2 months at best!

So relieved to have my broadband back! No idea what had happened, all sounds like a bit of a cock up to me! Just hope they don't charge us, there will be HELL to pay. The 'problem' was technically outside the house! Hmm But the engineer wasn't even sure what had happened! Confused

Glad my evils worked on BT Bebe! I think I remember your DH starting a diet before, do I ? Blondes is ready when she says you should be an inspiration as to how to be successful. And good turn taking is required on your telly front.

Off running in a moment and I shall remember my sports bra this time Wink.

Had a mid week sneak and I hadn't lost anything even though I had been so good. Having watched lots of diety type programmes I now wonder if I'm eating enough. This sounds daft but I am wondering.

Off to find my trainers!

Yes DH did start a diet before. Stupid Cambridge Diet! Hmm He's hoping to do more healthy eating & a basic SW approach ( he did it a few years ago with his brother & lost 4 stone) he has a considerable amount to lose though :(

I daren't look at the scales, Bound to have gained have been comfort eating like a pro! :(

Will be easier when DH is on a healthy eating plan, there won't be cake or crisps around!

On the TV front - We have one in the bedroom, but it's just for the Playstation really & DD watches DVDs in our bed sometimes if we are all upstairs!

On the diet prog last night, the Cambridge was featured as an extreme diet, and very hard to wean off successfully, so I'm glad he isn't doing that one!

Piste: I know what you mean about sometimes being "too" good being counter-productive.

After doing FoodFocus for a while and so having confidence that i really was eating as few calories as I thought I was - and continuing to be frustrated by the lack of progress, I started to deliberately have a day (or even occassionally two) off a week, where I had the "maintenance" amount or even more - and compensated on other days. My average intake was still at or below the target level that FoodFoucs suggested for a weight loss of 1.5lb a week.

It certainly seemed to help: my "good" downward trajectory happened since I started doing that. :)

Bebe, Sky has a ITV+1 channel now, record Biggest Loser at 10pm so it doesnt clash. Or OBEM on Channel 4+1.

I went out to Beefeater for dinner. Was very good - no starter, mediterrean pasta with side salad and no cheese for main and a cup of tea for dessert. Did sneak 4 tablespoons of icecream with chocolate sauce from DS1 though, and his banana from his banana split, but in the grand scheme of things.

No exercise tonight as sister staying, but maybe tomorrow - if not will do double workout saturday.

I was wondering about the calorie intake/exercise outlay after watching C4 last night - might do a few days on food focus to check out intake.

BTW, anyone who likes Quorn/WW sauces, Asda have them for £1 - sweet and sour and bolognesey ones for £1, and then Quorn mince for £1 or Quorn chicken style pieces for £1

Everyone seems very motivated at the moment which is a good sign its easier to encourage one another when its like that.

Its the dreaded weigh in for me tomorrow not sure how much it will be as I have changed from mon to fri so iv only had a few days at it.

Pretty - I started doing that too, but lately I've been having a couple of good days then blowing it on all the rest! I really need a kick up the bum!

Smokin - I have Glee & BL in at 9 and OBEM at 10, trouble is sometimes the overlap causes a clash. Fingers crossed it'll be ok, just depends what mood the Sky+ box is in!! Wink

I hate Quorn mince, but actually don't mind the 'chicken'...or Quicken as we call it in this house!! :o Don't mind the sausages either but not overly fond of the burgers. Shall be eating more of this when DH is being a good boy!

Really pleased to have lost one pound this week, but I do think I need to reassess what I'm doing, because I have been so very good, done my running 3 or 4 times, cycling to work etc etc, and I think it's being counterproductive as Pretty says. Maybe I haven't eaten enough as daft as that may sound. Dunno. Not sure how to proceed! Anyway, have a good day all

Only another 4lb to go and I've worked off the festive over indulgence.

piste runners are advised to carb load, plenty of pasta.

I will try and get motivated to go for a run, atm I am doing Davina Fit.

Told you I'd been bad! 2lbs on! And I still haven't lost my Christmas weight! I feel like I've completely lost my way. I know why, but there is nothing I can do about that, just need to focus! Don't want this to be the year I pile 4 stone back on!! :( Trouble is, now I feel really down about it I just want to eat!!

bebe you have maintained within 1/2 stone of target, you've done so well, it'll soon go again. I know what it's like getting out of the zone, it helped me to plan what I am eating.

I'm not feeling happy at the momentSad, my lovely doggie is confined to his crate for the next couple of days, with a buster collar round his neck, he is recouperating from an op that he had yesterday to repair a ruptured cruciate, he got so excited this morning when I put his lead on, he thought he was going to the park, the garden is the only place he'll be going for the next couple of days, and even then he has to have his lead on. Mind you he is looking a lot brighter than yesterdaySmile.

well done all of you!! Looking forward to Monday now, am determined to lose some more. Getting under the 12 stone mark would be nice, but maybe a bit premature with 2 4lb weight losses, can see it slowing a bit this week.

Bebe, just look at the figures though. 4st 3lb lost. You're within 7lb of target. You will do it, look how far you have come. You are acknologing why it is happening, keep positive.

Family round for big dinner tonight. Beef joint in the slow cooker, steamer ready with broccoli, carrots and cauliflowers. New potatoes instead of roasties, and some yorkies. Thinking of heaping my plate with veg and gravy, and having very little meat. Dessert is strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and dairy free icecream - but might chuck a low fat yogurt over mine instead to stay good.

Further progress probably wasn't helped by ds insisting that I make double choc chip cookies last night (found a Mumsnet recipe that was very easy and quick) and I couldn't resist was forced into tasting two large ones oneWink

bebe commiserations ((hugs)) dont feel bad, just keep rem you have done so well, and tbh most people stay within 7 lbs of their goal weight - write down excalty what you are eating but dont deny yourself a treat each day/week
