Here is the new thread for us to achieve success in Xmas Smile

Old thread is here

I'll change my name to my "Christmas" one after Saturday: I'm helping to organise the Scottish Mumsnet Christmas meet-up and it might confuse things if I change my name.

I really fancy the mince pies that are left over. Just about resisting....

bebejones · 02/01/2011 18:34

I had to make some mince pies today, to use up the open jar of mincemeat......there are 36 sat in a tin in the kitchen, they are calling shouting my name!! Hmm I feel your pain! Wink

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/01/2011 18:40

'blondes heaves at mince mice pies'

Almost as bad at mushrooms

'blondes shudders'

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/01/2011 20:07

Just made my homemade yummy low fat pizzas - 8p for 3 so just over 2.5p each

I'm gonna lose a lb this Friday!!!!

GettinTrimmer · 02/01/2011 20:44

Blondes, we both posted on a thread over in Telly Addicts at exactly the same time. Great minds think alike, but about different telly programmes!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/01/2011 21:51

Really?

'runs to look'

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/01/2011 09:09

Back
To
Normal
then.

DH gone to San Francisco. DD rowing. Me and DS in our jimjams.

Yesterday was good fun though. Lots of walking which was a good thing. All Christmas food gone, made DH eat it all last night. Ocado coming tonight with essentially vegetables!

bebejones · 03/01/2011 09:09

Ooooh what you say?! Intrigued! :o

Damn all the chocolate, did so well yesterday until the evening munchies drew me towards the Thorntons toffi-chocs! :(

FILs birthday today, so going to buffet tea later....HELP!!!

GettinTrimmer · 03/01/2011 09:40

Yes, that was was me last night as well Bebe. I had a small(ish) bowl of peanuts, we have a big bag left.

At least all your xmas food is gone Piste. Bowls of hearty soup?

Back to normal here too tomorrow, I'm still in my jammies, but we have arranged to meet some friends in the woods for 10.30, think we'd better postpone by an hour!

GettinTrimmer · 03/01/2011 09:41

Look at me posting twice, I'm not with it yet!

I was talking about that Toast programme about Nigel Slater, Blondes posted about True Blood.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 10:55

im still in the zone :) im also trying to persuade my brain that it needs to convert to ww pp

but not sure how - the old ww is so set in my brain :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/01/2011 10:56

Why can't you just stick with the old system Blondes?

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 11:05

because a lot of the food i use like crisps/biscuits/choc bar/odd micro meal are all in ww pp and different from my p

plus everyone keeps saying how fab the new system is and that having an extra 49p a week as spare is fantastic and everyone seems to be losing 2lbs a week on it

bebejones · 03/01/2011 11:25

Is True Blood back?!?! When? Eeeek!!! Swoon over Eric, yum!

I have decided that I am going to write off the last few days, the serious dieting starts again from tomorrow...exactly a year since we started 'officially'! I shall be doing as much walking as possible & salivating over DH & DDs dinners while I eat bowls of hm soup! Hmm

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/01/2011 11:33
Blush I've never heard of True Blood
Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 11:37

piste - you dont know what you are missing

beb - starts 14th of jan, ie next friday at 10pm

Murtette · 03/01/2011 11:48

Happy New Year!

I just weighed in and it wasn't quite as bad as I thought as I'd only put on 3lbs - which means that I am exactly a stone lighter than I was this time last year. I am worried that there might be extra lbs somehow lurking in me which haven't quite made it onto the scales yet IYSWIM! I'm not starting again until tomorrow as we're off to the pub with friends this afternoon and there's still a slice of Xmas cake and a few chocs to be eaten. I could cover them in washing up liquid and put them in the bin but they're too tasty.

Bebe - I had no idea what KRBS stood for and I live in the SE, work in finance (sort of) and have recently applied for a mortgage so thought I knew every financial institution that there was out there.

Piste - sometimes I miss the days of being a squealing teenager when everything was such a drama and analysed in such detail.

Blondes - I hope you have a better year this year. Are you still in touch with PBM?

Gettin - Xmas weight always disappears quite quickly as its such a change when you go back to normal eating. How many weeks are there until Easter?

What are all of your goals? Some of you are so close to target that I can see that you'd be aiming for that but I think I need some interim ones... I'm thinking 11st 13 (which would mean I'd lost 1.5st) then 11st 8 (my pre-preg-but-post-Xmas-weight) then 11st (my normal pre-preg weight) and then my target.

Oh, and inspire me with some soup recipes!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 13:30

murtette, well done for losing a stone last year

and shame on your for not knowing KRBS!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/01/2011 14:52

On the veggie front, is BNS a lower cal one? I think it is one you WW bods call 0 points? Am I right or making that up?!

I am making soup, can you tell?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 15:00

indeed bns is free on ww :)

i love bns soup

i have just ordered new ww pp off the ww website so once that arrives i shall and ignore and forget all i know about ww

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/01/2011 15:13

Hooray for BNS !

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 15:23

oh yes, i live off it :)

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2011 15:24

and no to pbm - have sent several e-mails and no reply, so must have a new addy :(

if you are reading this pbm, then come and say hello/get in contact :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/01/2011 15:38

I second Mrs Blondes, it would be lovely to know how you are PB - I think one of your Dc was starting at preschool last sept? Wonder how it's going?! DH going to Ireland in a couple of weeks, shall get him to wave as he comes into land!

Going to get DC to write thank you letters now. Wish me luck!
