Here is the new thread for us to achieve success in Xmas Smile

Old thread is here

I'll change my name to my "Christmas" one after Saturday: I'm helping to organise the Scottish Mumsnet Christmas meet-up and it might confuse things if I change my name.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/01/2011 14:58

well done smalline - 3 is good compared to my and festive 7 Blush

bebejones · 01/01/2011 15:55

Just a quick hijack...

Been helping DH out with some work/market research

If I said the letters 'K R B S' to you would you know what it was I was talking about? (This especially to anyone who lives South East!)

As you were! :)

GettinFestive · 01/01/2011 16:32

No idea Bebe. Then again I can be dense!

GettinFestive · 01/01/2011 16:34

Another well done on just 3lb gain Smalline.

I'm so relieved there's 2 of us who gained a festive 7 Blondes.

Kent Rochester/Brighton Sussex?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/01/2011 16:34

Mmmmm
DH thinks some minor building society.
I am rubbish at this but would guess a Kent school, but that's only because you say SE. We live SW London so that usually counts as SE England.
If you know, do let me know!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/01/2011 16:36

Are there prizes?!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/01/2011 16:47

Kent reliance building society :)

Coz I'm a member of it :)

Why do you ask?

Day 1 starting well

Toast
Fish and bns and broccoli and sc lite

And tons of water :)

bebejones · 01/01/2011 17:33

Piste - Your husband was right! :)

Full marks to Blondes! :o Do you think most people in Kent would know?

DH is doing some work for them.

Just had small portion of plum chicken, SO yummy. Will prob have a yoghurt when DD is in bed. I must also confess to 1.5 vienesse chocolate biscuits Blush But that is the only bad snacky munching I have done today!

Smalline - well done on only gaining 3lbs!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/01/2011 17:51

Full marks eh ?

'wears crown'

Not sure if many wld know it - tho if living in Kent as I do then most would/should

What branch is Dh going to?

What is plum chicken? sounds yummy

I might do my chicken&bns&tom tomorrow

I'm really in the zone at the moment (well it is the 1st day lol)

I'm gonna shift this atone and get into my trousers

bebejones · 01/01/2011 18:23

DH isn't going to a branch, it's stuff that is based here. It's quite complicated to explain!

Ooooh, Blondes BNS Chicken, not done that in a while, might have to give that a go soon.

Plum chicken, easy peasy & super scrummy!
For 4 people
4 chicken breasts
1 jar (300g) plum sauce
3 large ripe plums, stoned & cut into quarters
1 medium onion
Boiling water

On hob, soften the onion in a casserole dish, brown the chicken breasts on both sides. Add the plums & sauce. Fill sauce jar half full with water put lid on & shake, empty into pot. Stir well. Put lid on, shove in oven at 180c for an hour. Eat with rice!

Sauce only has about 150cals per portion so it's not too bad.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/01/2011 18:40

Plum chicken sounds yummy - not sure have seen jars of plum sauce ......

bebejones · 01/01/2011 18:50

Plum sauce :)

GettinFestive · 02/01/2011 09:36

yesterday I ate a lot less than 'usual' felt a bit hungry as I've got used to eating more. But made a start at least.

I am foodfocusing today

Glad you're in the zone Blondes.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/01/2011 09:37

O Lordy. O my little skinks.....what have i done....'I have put my name on a couch to 5 k thread. I think I'm mad. Feel free to come too.

GettinTrimmer · 02/01/2011 09:39

Just testing name change.

Piste!! Well done. I felt like that after registering for the Great South Run. I need a running partner to get my arse into gear.

bebejones · 02/01/2011 09:42

Well done Piste!! I'd love to join you but sadly still can't exercise because of my dodgy hip! (Still sore, but not quite as painful as it was!)

I am determined to be good today, I did really well all day yesterday then scoffed a load of chocs watching TV with DH in the evening! Blush It'll be easier when he is back at work!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/01/2011 10:12

Had a terrible food day yesterday ending up with the family at Pizza Express. Also far too much booze.

Tomorrow DH goes to San Fran for over a week and I have made two lots of soups all ready in the freezer so I shall use this week to kick my mahoosive arse into gear.

Am a bit worried now about couch to 5K but will try. I think I may have to work towards level 1! I have been shown an app for my iPhone which will guide me through each session. I dunno. Sighs.

We have a London Sunday today which we all love, everyone gets to choose somewhere to go, so lots of walking, so today we going to the design museum, Harrods, Regent Street lights, DD wants to go to Top Shop as she has a voucher that's burning a hole, the Wobbly Bridge between St Pauls and Tate Modern, the exhibition in the turbine gallery, Trafalgar Square Christmas tree, home again.

Best get going!

bebejones · 02/01/2011 10:19

Wow Piste that is a busy day!

I'm sure the couch to 5k will be fine. Think how much easier it will be this year now you are a slinky! Wink

DD is helping me rid the house of badness...just found her sat on the rug surrounded by empty After Eight wrappers and chocolate all over her face!! Couldn't tell her off, was laughing too much! :o

Greenkit · 02/01/2011 10:26

I am joining this thread as I have masses of weight to lose.

bebejones · 02/01/2011 10:35

Just found this worth a look!

bebejones · 02/01/2011 10:36

Oh, and welcome to Greenkit! :)

GettinTrimmer · 02/01/2011 11:15

Welcome Greenkit Smile

We weigh in once a week, mostly on a Friday. How are you doing yours? Some of us follow weight watchers, log everything on a website called foodfocus that counts calories or just healthy eating and exercise.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/01/2011 11:32

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/01/2011 12:52
