Thanks toobusy. I have read it has been rated the No.1 dvd workout.

Well Level 2 day 13/14? can't remember, but anyway I have done it.

Yesterday I had the BIGGEST wake up call ever. I was on a bike ride and my bf took a photo of me, I was wearing shorts. Anyway when I saw the pic, I nearly cried. I realised I have such a long way to go to get to how I really want to look. I don't think I am going to do that with the 30 day thing. I can't imagine in another 2 weeks I will have thighs that don't look like massive tree trunks with chunky arms. I was so depressed, I ate loads when I got home. But today I got up, and did the shred, and walked to work. I just think I have to accept I am curvy, and the shred HAS to be working, it must be.

Anyway, sorry I had to let all that out.

MickyLee · 29/12/2010 09:54

I have just finished my 30 days.. yay!!! Grin

Now I am going o continue by mixing up the levels everyday and when my new Killian DVD arrives, shred 3 days and new dvd 3 days a week.

I have not measured yet as I am frightened with Chrismas hitting the end. Going to measure in a few days. I will let everyone know the results of course.

HereMeRoar · 29/12/2010 11:20

Can I join? Thanks to MN I bought this at the start of Dec, but only cracked it open yesterday Blush. I've now done 2 days on level 1. Ouch I hurt Sad!

How long did you stay on each level before moving up?

DH is enjoying it too, as he also needs some exercise and 20 mins seems v manageable Smile.

MickyLee · 29/12/2010 12:41

Welcome heremeroar Most of us moved up a level every 10 days.
It does hurt for the first few days but promise, it does get better :)

Menagerie · 29/12/2010 13:43

Micky Congratulations on finishing. Do you feel more toned? has anyone noticed the difference? I feel stiffer today than in first two days, so it's definitely doing something.

High Heremeroar - we've started at similar time.

Are we supposed to measure ourselves now then again at the end? Not sure I can bring myself to measure my thighs. Think they're bigger than my waist!

VJayJingles · 29/12/2010 14:11

Hiya, I have been lurking for ages and bought the DVD at the beginning of December. I started it 3 days ago and wow do I ache, but that means it's working. The cardio was a little easier today but I can't do that bycicle ab workout at the end, so I will move up a level once I've cracked them.

I stood on the scales this morning and nearly fell off in shock, I weigh a lot more than I realised so the diet that was due to start in the New Year is starting now.

Has anyone actually lost the full 20lbs in 30 days?

susall · 29/12/2010 14:18

I completed 8th workout earlier even though I was feeling a bit fuzzy headed first thing but some coffee sorted that out. I plan to do 9th later on today and will keep doing 2 each day as I find it easy to fit the workout in. When the kids go back on the 6th I will do some EA Active step workouts on the 3 mornings I have free to move things along.
I do not plan to move on to level 2 for a while as I still find some of the moves slightly taxing and until I can do them without stopping I do not feel I should move on but each to their own. Its mainly my arms that let me down and Im not sure if my 2lb weights are too heavy but they are all I have so will keep at it.

clpsmum · 29/12/2010 14:44

Just ordered mine can't wait for it to arrive now

MickyLee · 29/12/2010 16:41

I feel so much more toned. I can see a 6 pack (really) and my thighs just feel solid now. My arms feel more toned and my boobs are less saggy. Still have a wobble over my 6 pack stomach though, but i can live with that Grin

Saw Sil 2 days ago, she didn't know I was doing anything but asked me if I had lost weight. Then when I told her about the shred wanted me to show her some moves.

DH said I feel tighter (if you know what I mean) So must help pelvic floor too.

I don't have any scales so don't know if I have lost weight but I know I have lost inches and feel better which is the main thing.

I will measure tomorrow and let all know my results

toobusytothink · 29/12/2010 18:39

Level 2 - day 1. WOW! I have to say I actually found level 1 fairly easy and even enjoyed it and never had to do any of the easier moves. Level 2 was a completely different thing. Took me back to hockey fitness training at uni. My heart is still pumping. Lots more leg work and my arms are fine but my shoulders - talk about lactic acid build up.

Keep going everyone. Level 1 I found easy to do every day. I am going to need nagging to do level 2 ...

Menagerie · 29/12/2010 19:02

Too busy - how long did you stay on level 1? I'm finding it easy too. Bit stiff but in a nice way, and I can't do press-ups except Anita style but never could, even when I was a gym junkie, so not aiming for that. Haven't even looked at level 2 - is it a big jump? (Hmm pun.)
Susall - 2 a day? That's impressive. Think I'll always find excuses to only do it once a day.

susall · 29/12/2010 19:14

I leave a fair gap between them both mind, one about half 10 the other about half 4. Not sure I could do one after the other though.
I had a look at level 2 and there is quite a bit of plank work which is why I will stay where I am for the time being. I cant do a full press up either!

toobusytothink · 29/12/2010 21:41

Level 2 is unrelenting. All the moves seem to use the same muscles (especially the shoulders), so you never get recovery time (even in the abs section). Also the cardio is tougher which is good as I didn't really break sweat on level 1. So yes I would say the jump is quite big. I might actually use slightly lighter weights tomorrow as 2.5 kg on some of the exercises is nearly impossible for me at the mo. Will be very interesting to see how I feel in a few days time though and whether it gets easier.

toobusytothink · 29/12/2010 21:41

sorry - forgot to say, I followed the recommended 10 days on level 1

conquita · 29/12/2010 22:39

Level 2 day 15 done.

Today I managed to do the jump plank thingios, rather then the Anita step in style. Immediately went red in the face with overexertion. I think what I have found with this dvd is that it is easy to do things halfhearted, like in Level 1 I could not do the proper pushups at the start, so just stayed on Anitas pushups the whole 10 days. I should have attempted to try them again at least towards the end, but took the easy way out.

Anyway, 15 days to go until the big reveal! Mickylea congrats on completeing the whole 30 days regimen.

MickyLee · 30/12/2010 06:29

Just measured and here are my results.
I have included my before measurments because I was slim to begin with so I was never going to lose more than I had. Also I have not changed my diet in anyway what so ever so all this is down to shred

18th Nov
Waist - 72 cm 28.3 inches
Hips - 88cm 34.6 in
Left leg - 50 cm 19.7in
Left arm - 27 cm 10.6in

29th Dec
Waist - 66cm 26 in
Hips - 86.5cm 34in
Left leg - 46cm 18.2 in
Left arm ? 25cm 10 in

toobusytothink · 30/12/2010 11:30

MickyLee that is incredible! Well done. I think I am a similar size to the Nov 18th you (bit bigger) and was presuming that I wouldn't therefore lose inches as there isn't a huge amount to lose. Just 1 or 2 inches off my waist and hips would be fab. You have now given me hope, although after all the food I've scoffed over the past few days, I doubt it ...

I haven't actually measured myself yet either. Will have to do that now.

MickyLee · 30/12/2010 11:43

toobusy Please measure, otherwise how will you know!

HereMeRoar · 30/12/2010 12:03

Wow, well done MickyLee!

Day 3 here... dh and I woke up in pain Sad. I have still shredded Grin and feel like I am getting more out of some of the exercises today. I flippin hate the pretend skipping thingy.

Menagerie · 30/12/2010 12:21

Well done MickyLee. When your thighs are already that skinny, it's brilliant to have lost an inch and a half or more from each leg. Wow!.

On Day 4. Woke up not as stiff but it felt harder today for some reason - maybe I was working harder. Then took kids for a walk up a big hill. Definitely already feeling more energetic, and already jeans tucked into boots feel a bit less farmer giles. Haven't done measurements yet (can't face thigh measurements) but will today because I'm dying to know the results at the end.

sorky · 30/12/2010 12:34

Oh God!

The dvd has arrived.....I've watched it and felt slightly apprehensive.....but now I've read this thread I'm truly trembly at the thought of doing it...

I'm off to do some before measurements, weigh my self (I won't be dieting) and complete Day 1 sigh

sorky · 30/12/2010 12:47

Right..

I weigh 8st 3lb

Bust-35in
Waist-28in
Hips-34.5in
Left arm-10.5in
Left thigh-19in

I need to regain my flat stomach, 4 children have run off with it and left it looking a bit deflated rather than flat.

Anyway, I'm off to meet Killian.....

sorky · 30/12/2010 13:37
