Day Two in the Big Mother house.

I want JillianMichaels to die. That is all.

susall · 21/12/2010 19:38

Well got enough time to do level 1 twice, before and after tea, couldnt consider one after the other as I was too pooped. I really like the workout and the way its fast paced so you dont really get a chance to think about anything other than whats going on. I have a problem with my mind wandering during a workout and I lose my intensity but I was fine with this. Killian didnt bother me that much and compared to what she is like on the biggest loser she was really tame. Still dont think I will ever be able to do the push ups as I have always found them hard. I hope I can walk round to the nursery tomorrow after this and I will try and fit a work out in whenever I can.
Is it just me or are Anita's abs pretty scary? I would have Killians over hers any day!!!

booreeve · 21/12/2010 20:24

Having done about 40 days shred with only one day off, I'm amazed at the changes in my body, and now find that my day feels "incomplete" without killian in it!

Anyway, I ordered killian's fat and metabolism DVD or whatever it's called.....I cast a beady post-shred eye at it and oh my it was frightening! Have been dodging it, but bit the bullet today, and oh my sainted aunt it's hardcore! Great to have a new challenge but it's cardio hell! It's really hard going and bizarrely not as fun as shred, but will give it a few days and then report back. But much as I'm scared of it, pre-shred I couldn't have got through the first circuit, but on my first go post shred I got through it which has got to be an achievement!

conquita · 22/12/2010 01:37

Level one, day 7 done.

Noticed my back and shoulders are starting to look respectable.

I will not measure or weigh myself though, I feel very fat and bloated as it is the week before my period so I must NOT measure or weight myself. I just know I am heavier, I can feel it.

Still loving Killian though. Am staying on level one for 14 days, I don't think I will be ready to move up to level 2 until I can master push ups and the eye level weight thingys properly.

Booreeve, did you notice a difference on the scales after 40 days? well done on 40 days by the way!

All those just starting out - you are strong, its eeeeeeeeeeeeeasy for you!

nomorecake · 22/12/2010 12:51

conquita - try level 2 on day 10.

on day 7 i didnt think i'd be able to do it. but someone on here convinced me.
it was tough, did a lot of Anita moves, but i did it. and it got easier.

same with level3, I was quite daunted. but started it on day 20, found it pretty tough but, day by day, it really is getting easier.

gowaaan! you can do it. Wink

hoping i will get to shred today. feeling better. and itching to get back into it.

booreeve · 22/12/2010 14:18

Day 2 on my new Killian DVD.......eeeekkkk the pain!

Conquita, no massive weight loss for me, just a couple of pounds, but then I've got a low-ish BMI of about 19 so haven't got much to loose, and for me it's about getting fit and toning up. Definitely more toned and look leaner, and feel I can eat more (yey!)

MickyLee · 22/12/2010 16:56

I don't think I can shred until the 27th now :(

I am having christmas here this year and really don;t think I have time until it is over. Tomorrow I have to go back into the city to collect the visas I applied for on Monday and it is a day long journey. I have tonnes of ironing to do in the evenings and need to spend christmas eve cleaning the house and finish organising for christmas.

I managed to do 28 days in 31 shreding so I suppose it isn't too bad.

New Dvd will be here next week too. Going to continue level 3 until it arrives (from the 27th) then mix 30DS and BFBM from then onwards.

So for me now, a glass of wine and a date with the mountain of ironing!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas xx

toobusytothink · 22/12/2010 19:35

day 5 level 1 - done !! Managed to do all the strength exercises (including the full press ups) for the first time, so feeling pretty chuffed. Was thinking my weights were too heavy (2.5 kg) but apparently that's what the girls use so that's what I'm going to use. I am not going to weigh myself at all. I have always been muscular and so have always been heavy even when I was at my fittest. For me I just want to clear up those pesky love handles and be able to eat whatever I want !!!!

Well done everyone. I am getting addicted and even now trying to find a way I can shred on Xmas day. Doubt it, but must get one in on Boxing Day even if it is in front of MIL and BIL ...

sephrenia · 22/12/2010 21:04

I've taken today off from Killian. Not because I'm lazy or anything, I was just really sore all over and I had a wacky warehouse birthday party to go to. I figure being around 20 children aged between 3 and 12 for 3 hours is enough workout for anyone Grin

I'll be back on it tomorrow though

toobusytothink · 22/12/2010 21:34

well I undid all my hard work anyway by scoffing 4 chocolate biscuits. I find that's my problem - it just makes me feel that I can eat rubbish. So I'm never going to lose my love handles at this rate.

Sounds fun Sephrenia ...

nomorecake · 23/12/2010 00:31

toobusy - i know what you mean.

three days off, but recovered now, so
day 25 done.

phew.

redderthanred · 24/12/2010 09:03

Yay. First day back on the shred after a whole week off.

I really missed it and perversly enjoyed it today. Didnt push myself too hard as im still very chesty and only started eating yesterday ( after not eating from saturday)

Plan on doing it tomorrow too.

:)

Merry christmas to all shredders :)

conquita · 24/12/2010 21:38

That is great Redder, did you go back to level one or stayed on level 3? Take it easy though.

I just completed day 9 level 1, and it is xmas day here where I am! oooh get me! I have had to get up extra early though and it feels good knowing I have exercised on the worst day for eating in the whole year!

nomorecake, I will start level 2 tomorrow then, I am not looking forward to it, but shall do it all the same. Thanks for your support ! Grin

Merry xmas everyone!

nomorecake · 25/12/2010 22:31

anyone shred today?

conquita · 25/12/2010 22:32

Day 11, Level 2
Just did level 2 for the first time. For some of the moves I was looking like this Hmm and Confused but I got there in the end. I liked it! And the bonus being..I look smaller! I just noticed it today wearing a 'fat' top, it is baggy! I am still not weighing or measuring until 30 days is over.

Hope you are all having a great xmas day!

toobusytothink · 26/12/2010 17:57

missed yesterday for the first time, but just managed it now. Not easy after a 3 course lunch with bottle of wine ... needs must. Hope you all had a good xmas

conquita · 26/12/2010 21:28

Day 12 Level 2 Done

Think I am holding a weight the wrong way, my wrist is aching a little bit. But other than that, just looking foward to Day 30 so I can breathe and relax.

MickyLee · 27/12/2010 06:25

Not Shred for 4 days and feel so bloated from all the food and wine.

Must start again today and get back on course.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and well done for anyone who managed to shred over Christmas :)

toobusytothink · 27/12/2010 18:07

day 9 level 1. Must say I am looking forward to moving onto level 2. Getting a bit dull now. Admit it is good, but only reservation is over the legs. I reckon Davina's is better in that respect. I felt I had much more toned bum and thighs after hers than this. Might simply be to do with the fact that this is 20 mins and davina's is 30 mins though.

conquita · 27/12/2010 23:14

Day 13 Level 2 Done

Am still a bit Confused in some parts of this level, the skater move for sure. BUT my abs and shoulders look a lot better. If I suck in my chest really tight I can feel those little pockets called Muscles!!! I have NEVER had them before. I am likeing level 2 because it is very mixed and varied, I like the weight exercises too.

I am defo smaller/tighter and I feel more confident in myself and bonus - My face looks thinner. I have no double chin and my jaw is more defined. Sorry to go on about the changes, but I find it really hard to lose weight and to see changes from this regiment is amazing to me.

Please keep it up toobusy, just to see what the final results are, then you can compare it to the Davina one. If you still reckon Davina is better, please can you let me know which Devina dvd you have, I might go onto to that after the 30 days!

Menagerie · 28/12/2010 13:20

Just started - Day 2 level 1.

I think I'm missing something. This isn't half as hard as Natalie Cassidy's boxing section, and I'm fat and unfit. Can 20 mins of star jumps and weights really trim you down in only 30 days? (Um, not that I'm planning on moving onto level 2 yet - can't do one press up let alone 2 mins of them. It's just - I was prepared for something evil and it seems OK so far...)

MickyLee · 28/12/2010 16:31

I think it works because you do it everyday maybe. Plus because of the 321 system our heart rates are kept at an aerobic level even while doing the strengh and ab work.

I love the fact that when I started out I could manage 3 proper push ups and now I can do 20. I feel so much stronger.

Menagerie · 28/12/2010 19:04

I hadn't thought of that Micky - the 321 thing. Hope I can do 20 press ups by the end. Can only do the easy versions at the moment. I like that it's easy to do, so I woke up wanting to do it. DCs are joining me too, which is cute.

toobusytothink · 28/12/2010 20:01

last day level 1 - hooray. Menagerie, agree with Micky that it's the every day thing. I am sure there are plenty of harder workouts but I doubt you'd commit to doing them every day. With this one, the whole idea is that it is only 20 mins but you do it every day and that seems to work for people as it's an easy thing to commit to.

Conquita, Davina superbody workout is good. It's based on similar thing - lots of squats with weights, tied in with cardio.
