ok ladies I have a problem!!! DD was being a nightmare naughty at bedtime so I haven't been able to shred yet- normally do it as soon as they are in bed! I am now working until 10.45 and don't think I am going to manage it then! Also my foot is killing from a stupid evil wooden brick incident.... do I take today off? will I die tomorrow if I do?!?!

MickyLee · 01/12/2010 19:39

nora sometimes you just have to give in and have a day off.. but tomorrow maybe do two shreds??

Hope your foot is feeling better.

Cyb · 01/12/2010 19:48

I'm having a day off

I feel Jillian is watching me

red, Level 2 is hard but def doable.

i feel bad I'm not doing it tonight

ThatVikRinA22 · 01/12/2010 19:51

another one having a day off here....not good i know, but will get back to it tomorrow!

the ladies who have lost inches....are you all dieting as well?

mummyshreddingnora · 01/12/2010 19:52

hmmmmm we'll see - have been limping on and off all day because of a bloody wooden building brick! but don't like the idea of slacking now!

Vicar -no dieting in the nora camp!

rusmum · 01/12/2010 20:09

ok bought it- been in drawer for a week. I am scared!!!!!!

34 5'5 and 12.5 stone - i eat little but drink too much wine hence calorie overload!!!!

planning day 1 tomorrow- advice?

notyummy · 01/12/2010 21:03

rusmum.

Good sports bra.

Trainers.

Weights/cans.

Accepta that it is supposed to REALLY push you - but as you feel like you want to give up, she will move on to the next section.

IT IS ONLY 20 MINUTES - keep repeating that to yourself when necessary.

chocoholic · 01/12/2010 21:19

Just turn it on and do it rusmum. Expect to hurt and be knackered BUT expect to be hooked and feeling so much better in a weeks time.

Red, go for it. It's horrible but drag your way through it. Then you can come on here and cheer about the fact that you made it through. Grin

NicknameInUse · 01/12/2010 21:42

rusmum, the only thing I can add is have a big glass of water to hand!

titferbrains · 01/12/2010 21:45

just wondering what time of day do people do their shred? If you do it after a meal, how long do you wait after you've eaten?

ALovelyBunchOfBaubles · 01/12/2010 21:55

Hi guys, I ordered my copy yesterday. I expect it to be here in a couple of days. Any advice/tips? What time of day should I do it? Is it really that fab that I don't need to diet too?

I'm nervous.

UnrequitedSkink · 01/12/2010 21:56

Just did Day 5... well at least I've stopped trembling after the workout now so I must be improving! It didn't seem that much easier at the time though... I'm knackered tonight and I was considering having the day off but I'm pleased I did it.

Is anyone else doing it and not really thinking about diet? I think I'm hoping for results that I'm not going to see unless I start watching what I'm eating.

Late night shred for me tonight. Lost count but same day as Nora if she manages it! (she will!!!)

Not recommended, I usually do it before dinner much nicer than doing it after I have stuffed myself eaten.

You mean you are working until 10.45 tonight Nora? From next week I am working until 10pm on a Wednesday and a Sunday so will be very late night shedding those nights. Sad

wohmum · 01/12/2010 22:12

Day 3 done, yay!

I took your advice and worked thru the stiffness and it was fine.
I'll still feel it tomorrow I'm sure, but got through it.

Well done to all those with inch loss, I haven't measured, should I?

UnrequitedSkink · 01/12/2010 22:21

DandyLioness - low carb starting tomorrow? It's the only thing I can think of to lose weight that quickly...

NicknameInUse · 01/12/2010 22:26

Oh yes, wohmum definatley measure! It's such a boost on your moral when you can see the affects in black and white. I didn't think it was having any affect on me until I measured yesterday.

I do it at 12 when ds goes down for his nap, a couple of hours after breakfast (I hate eating early in the morning).

Not been dieting at all and still seeing a good improvement after a week!

MickyLee · 02/12/2010 05:39

Day 13 finished... yay! staying on level 2 for a bit now. Wow it makes you sweat, I'm dripping.

Slobbadan · 02/12/2010 06:52

To all who are shredding and dieting at the same time have you lost weight?

I only ask as i have been healthy eating all week and been good and shredded every day since Saturday but i popped on the scales for a pre-weigh in (i usually do a friday) and im the same!

I thought i would of lost some thing by now,as i lost 2 lb last week with no specific exercise and it was only my first propper week (where i had not cheated big style). I know i still have tomorrow to go so will wait and see.

MickyLee · 02/12/2010 06:56

slobbadan I don't know if I have lost weight because I don't own scales. But not been watching what I eat to be fair either.

Did you measure? I can't remember. I would go by that first because I know Redderthanred has lost loads of inches but only 2lb.. I think the building of muscle mass keeps the weight up for a bit maybe.. you have proberly lost quite a bit of fat.

redderthanred · 02/12/2010 07:44

Day 1 of level 2.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is seriously hard. I grunted and roared like a lion most of the way through.

Those mid row things. OUCH.

and cycle 2 abs.

And the plank bits at the end.

and the last cycle of cardio.

SHIT!!!!

but i did it. Had to catch a breather a few times. ( only 5 seconds though) legs/arms gave out last few seconds of the last abs bit.

bring it on tomorrow.
:)

slobbadan - go measure yourself, you might be surprised. I was expecting a huge weight loss. but was really annoyed, until i measured.
AND i was doing lo carb and not many calories at all.
For the time being im going to go with inch loss. Also other people are really noticing, not one person hasnt said something. ( and these are people who dont know im doing it)
So, if other people are really noticing, then it must be working.

MickyLee · 02/12/2010 08:12

This was my second atempt at level 2. Last time I kept stopping and didn't really do it properly. But this morning I put everything into it.. OMG my shoulders are aching already. I have no energy left at all. I wonder how many calories it burns.. i am burnt out.

Those plank twists at the end are great.. I hate them but it must be so effective.

Cyb · 02/12/2010 08:14

Level 2 is hard.

BUT I managed ONE I repeat ONE full press up, my first one EVER

Def going to do it when I get in from work today at 12 ish (snow permitting)

will warm me up for rest of day

'Diet' starts today too

MickyLee · 02/12/2010 08:54

cyb well done with your first presh up.. Here's to many more.. yay

bumpybecky · 02/12/2010 10:10
