Level 2 Get on with it you wimp!!! (meant in the nicest possible way) Wink

mummyshreddingnora · 30/11/2010 20:01

well I only blardy did it! Grin level 2 too!!!

Is it bad to say it was easier than I expected?!?! And by that I don't mean it was easy at all - but I expected to be dead / not able to walk! Instead I was sweating / purple / grunting - but did most of it - with only a few pauses... and even doing the harder versions of a couple of moves!!!!

Day 8 - check! (back to the 1kg weights! )

Sugarmuppet · 30/11/2010 20:01

Oh God, have I killed Nora???

Sugarmuppet · 30/11/2010 20:01

x-posts so very glad your alive!!! Well Done You!!!!!

NicknameInUse · 30/11/2010 20:04

A big fat well done to nora!

mummyshreddingnora · 30/11/2010 20:08

hahahahahahahaha that you thought you had killed me muppet Grin I shan't be taken that easily!!!

Thanks guys - my face is still purple Blush

mummyshreddingnora · 30/11/2010 20:13

oh
my
fucking
god

Just updated my measurements (measured before shred and scribbled on paper - just checked on spreadsheet Blush )

so in the last two days inch loss is :
legs 0.5"
hips sts
waist 0.5"
bust 0.5"
arms 0.5"

so my totals are:

legs 2"
hips 3"
waist 1" (finally!)
bust 1.5"
arms 1.5"

and that is per leg or arm... so total inch loss in 8 days would be 12.5" - if I added up right?!?!?!?! Grin

Cyb · 30/11/2010 20:16

I found bits of Level 2 ok and bits HORRENDOUS. Like the plank turn thing at the end

I'm posting on another shred thread so apols if I repeat myself

But I ahve carpet burns on my palms now

acebaby · 30/11/2010 20:28

well done everyone for losing so many inches! And hooray to everyone who has survived level 2 I am in awe.

Level one (day 7) for me. I think I will stick with it until day 11 and try to do 10 days on each level. I am only just getting to grips with some of the abs moves!

notyummy · 30/11/2010 20:33

So impressed with all the hard work ladies. I find level 2 is the hardest of all so well done. When I am having a hardcore day and do 2 shreds back to back, I find it easier to fo 1 and 3, bypassing l2!

mummyshreddingnora · 30/11/2010 20:33

2 shreds?!?!?

ThatVikRinA22 · 30/11/2010 22:41

day 3 completed here...loving that its only 20 mins! sceptical though about weight/inch loss...will see!

NicknameInUse · 30/11/2010 22:52

Vicar if I can loose inches anyone can! I am (though decreasingly so thanks to Killian) terribly unfit and haven't been watching what I'm eating at all really. All I've done is try to eat breakfast and lunch which I used to miss all the time. Not being too successful though (only managing breakfast because I force myself for fuel to get me through the workout). Still having desserts, crisps...Blush

ThatVikRinA22 · 30/11/2010 22:56

im sceptical cos i already do 3 hour long workouts at the gym and watch what i eat, have done since march last year and have plateaued - am shredding in addition to see if it makes any difference! in my 20's i think i over did the diets....makes it really hard now im in my late 30s to lose so much as an ounce! but will give it a go! will keep you posted if weight or inches are lost here!

ThatVikRinA22 · 30/11/2010 22:57
  • that should read 3 x 1 hour workouts - as in one hour 3 times a week! not 3 hourly workouts!
NicknameInUse · 30/11/2010 23:10

Ah I see. Sorry if you've already explained - too many people to keep track of!
I'm sure you'll see some 'tightening' a you progress. Smile

Good luck!

wohmum · 30/11/2010 23:53

Hi ladies

Day 2 level 1 completed!

Really struggled with the squats and lunges, but otherwise managed ok.... Prob need heavier weights tho'

I bet my calves and thighs are going to be agony tomorrow, should I have a rest day or keep at it?

I'd be scared to have a rest day in case i seize up,

wohmum · 30/11/2010 23:54

Oh - and somehow i had ordered 2 copies of the DVD from Amazon, anyone know if I can easily return 1?

MickyLee · 01/12/2010 05:54

wohmum maybe keep it for a christmas gift
Although not sure how happy I would feel about being given a fitness dvd Hmm

nora fanbloodytastic inch loss.. well done you.

I went for a curry last night and feel like crap today.. bloated and heavy.. must put all my effort into shread today.

redderthanred · 01/12/2010 07:02

Day 10 done. Motivation was in the gutter today.

Several times while doing it i thought i just couldnt be arsed and should just turn it off.

Did it anyway in the most halfhearted way.

Maybe its the getting up at 6am and starting exercising at 6.05???

Level 2 tomorrow. Think im going to save the workout for about 7.30 and have a little bit of a lie in. ( or, should we get more than a smattering of snow and get a snow day off work, then ill do it in the morning.

Anyway - need a bit of motivation... please!!

Wohmum - do it everday, even if you are really stiff for best results.

Vicarinatutu - i think you might be surprised...... :)

MickyLee · 01/12/2010 08:04

redder well done for getting on with it regardless. For motivation, check Youtube and search for jillin.. I did it yesterday and some great interviews which got me really pumped up and wanting to get fit.

mummyshreddingnora · 01/12/2010 08:36

morning all......owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww had to stretch my hamstrings in bed before I could even get up! But my shoulders, arms, back and legs are all aching - so obviously doing its job! And as a bonus I am getting a bit more flexible - I had the shorted hammys in the world before so can only be a good thing! Grin

Vicarinatutu - depends if you phone it in at the gym Wink or do that kind of intensity ?

wohmum - I agree with redder every day is best, I would find it harder to go back after a day off I think - so am even taking it on holiday next week! Shock

Redder - big well done for doing it anyway!!! I would say crank up the volume louder - she'll be shouting into your brain AND the music will help motivate you! Plus - you simply can't be phoning it in if you want the results! The change in level two will help too! Grin You can do it!

Micky - I had pizza last night after deciding I'd earned it - didn't eat quite as much as normal, but did feel a fatty after - so I guess I have learned my lesson there!

prettybird · 01/12/2010 09:56

Not going to be able to SHred today as ds' school is closed :(

Did Level 3 yesterday for the first time on this second run through of the Shred. Was really pleased that I was able to do 3 or 4 (on each set) of the strength exercsie in Curcuit 1 (plank position on elbow, and then rasing up into full plank position, one arm at a time), before reverting to the girlie bent leg version. Last time round, I couldn't even do one: could go up onto one hand but didn't have the strength to even begin to raise my body onto the other hand. Still a bit wobbly and involves a lot of effort but at least I'm showing improvement. :)

notyummy · 01/12/2010 10:01

Prettybird - if he is school age then he should be able to occupy himself for 20 minutes surely. Or just watch/join in with you? DD been subjected to my exercise routines all her life! Her school also closed today, but fully intend to fit in some exercise.

prettybird · 01/12/2010 10:14

It's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Grin

He could cope - he's seen me huffing and puffing after runs but I can't be bohered re-arranging the living room furniture while he's around Hmm

However, we may be goig out shorlty to do a "family" clearing of the driveway (about 30m) and car - so that should be good exercise! :)
