YAY!!!! Well done Nora!! Grin

acebaby · 26/11/2010 20:47

hooray for shreddingnora! Grin

I am keen to get going again today (day 4) but have to wait until DH is home because DS2 is unsettled. Hope I don't lose my motivation...

Sugarmuppet · 26/11/2010 20:58

Talk DH into shedding with you acebaby, it is funny motivating watching someone else suffer at the same time as you!

Yes trying to eat healthily. When I had DD (nine months ago!) I weighed much less than when I got pregnant. Since then I have put on nearly 2 stones. Shock Need to do something radical that is ridiculous!

wohmum · 26/11/2010 21:06

Right ladies, I'm going to join you!

I've been doing a low carb diet and lost 1 1/2 stone, but now stalled.

I was exercising in the summer but haven't done much for ages.

Really want to lose this last 1/2 stone before Christmas and this might just be the way!

Ordering DVD tonight!

MickyLee · 26/11/2010 21:11

nora Hooray from me too

wohmum welcome. You won't regret it

mummyshreddingnora · 26/11/2010 21:19

Thanks guys - knowing my luck there is actually no change and I have just measured wrong!!!

how DO you make sure you measure in the same spot?!

HowAnnoying · 26/11/2010 21:24

Hi can I join? Today was day 5 of stage 1. I find push ups the hardest so glad to get that out the way at the beginning.

What size weights do people use. I am using 1.1kg but think I will increase for the curls and chest flies.

acebaby · 26/11/2010 21:47

good idea supermuppet - we are both trying to lose weight

Welcome wohmum and howannoying! I find push ups and the "jump rope" in circuit 1 hardest too. I'm always glad to get that one over and done with

well, I did my day 4. It was okay. Everything except the abs is getting easier. does anyone else have trouble with abs?

MickyLee · 27/11/2010 06:55

howannoying I hate the push ups too. I think the chest flies have to bit the easiest bit Maybe I need to use heavier weights for that one too.

Did day 8 today.. cardio was a breeze! I thought I might actually die with cardio when I started out.

DH commented on the change of my body shape today Grin

Also I have been feeling really happy since I started the Dvd. I really do think excersise helps mental state.

conquita · 27/11/2010 08:24

I just ordered this today!! I'm inspired by you all! Grin Do you have to do this everyday or can you do it every other day to still see results?

redderthanred · 27/11/2010 08:44

Just did day 6.
Am super impressed with myself. My push ups, which, quite frankly did not even resenble a girly push up 6 days ago... well, i can do them now. ( the proper girly ones) But thats a huge improvement.
Plus during every exercise i can feel my muscles tigtening. Which is great.

cardio was loads better, bar the first circuit, which i still cant do all of. Not because im out of puff, but because it hurts my shins. Any advice? Could i possibly just do two mins of jumping jacks instead?
I can do the first min fine, but by the second min it really hurts.

Pinkytinky · 27/11/2010 10:46

Day 6 done ( slight delay because of snow and screaming baby!).

Glad it's out of the way though I can now get on with my day without the thought of Killian hanging over me.

The thread is really helping to keep me motivated. Well done to all.

Slobbadan · 27/11/2010 10:51

Ok ladies i need the motivation to see this through, i have done day one today ata bout 9am feel really good although was knackered afterwards.

I think if i commit to replyig on here i will guilt myself into it as it is only for 20 mins!

So room for one more?

Rohey · 27/11/2010 11:23

Ladies.. Got my DVD today and I am petrified...
At that 4 month stage after having DC3 and feel rotten. Weigh more than I did was I was pregnant and hair falling out at an alarming rate!

So hopefully the DVD will motivate me and lose the excess weight!

Wish me luck as going to start DVD as soon as DC3 has woken up and had his feed!!

SpareRoomSleeper · 27/11/2010 12:05

Welcome newbies - theres always room on the shred thread Grin

I am pepping myself up for day 5. Having severe constant heartburn/indegestion doesnt help with the workouts, and isnt helping the workouts YET...but im going to soldier on regardless.

I think I can feel my body just a little bit slimmer, but as I didnt measure to begin with (no measuring tape), I wont know now Hmm

Well done nora on the inches loss!!!!

MickyLee · 27/11/2010 12:08

slobbadan You can do it.. Only you can change you.

rohey keep us posted how you get on

conquita Everyday is best IMO because you get into the rountine. But if thats going to stop you then every other day is better than none at all.

redder Ooo.. look at you. Still can't manage every oush up so hoping to be like you soon. I reckon 2 minutes of jumping jack should be fine.

I really want to get Killian in for a webchat since someone mentioned it last week.
Bet she would love that we call her Killian Grin

Rohey · 27/11/2010 12:31

I am knackered...

Are star jumps really needed !!!

I am still puffing and that's 10 mins after completing the workout!

I can just about walk and raise my arm!! LOL!!

Here's to day 2!!!

MickyLee · 27/11/2010 12:35

Grin We were all the same after the first one.

SpareRoomSleeper · 27/11/2010 12:59

rohey ...Grin..wait till tomorrow morning - if you can walk down the stairs normally I will be in awe of you forever Grin

Day five DONE! This thread is GREAT. If I didnt have it, I would cheat lots. Blush

thanks fellow shredders.

SpareRoomSleeper · 27/11/2010 13:01

acebaby...I find circuit 1 hard overall - once Im past it, I can do all the rest. The cardio of circuit 1 is a bitch!

Heathcliffscathy · 27/11/2010 15:30

day 2 was KILLER! i ache all over, my stomach, my arms my legs my shoulders. everything.

am determined to do the 30 days though.

cannot imagine moving up to 2 in 5 days time.

and i'm only using tins of beans so my weights are big enough (is it 2kg that you need initially?)

Cyb · 27/11/2010 16:55

I drew a small crowd doing day 2 today in my dining room

My dd was cackling at 'your neck is not invited to this party' duruing the sit ups section

I find the press ups agony, I have the upper body strength of a kitten

BUT I could jumping jack for 40 mins no problem!

acebaby · 27/11/2010 17:37

rohey hello! we 'spoke' on another thread. Glad you decided to join Smile!

spareroom glad I'm not the only one! I might not do the 'jump rope' anymore as it is killing my ankles and shins

notyummy · 27/11/2010 19:18

Well done on te inch loss everyone. DH did levels 2 and 3 back to back today with 5kg weights. DD rushed in halfway with her 'school bear' that she has brought home for the weekend and asked him if he needed help!!
